Hello, Secret Comics Clubbers.

It’s been nine months since I posted page from the Reverend and Amy. It’s been an insane nine months. Life is calming down a little now, and I hope to get back to weekly posts for June, July and August. (Then it’s back to college for the final year of my Culinary Arts degree and life may become too busy again.) The posting of pages will continue to be irregular for a while while this academic year winds down.

If you have forgotten what the story is all about, you can reread it from the beginning.

I leave you with the question: should anyone be taking theology lessons from a demon-possessed dog?

Thanks for reading!

I’m sorry for such a long wait for this page. The main reasons are a design job and lots of writing as part of the adoption approval process we are working our way through. The secondary reason is this isn’t the easiest page to post. It is based on a preventable tragedy that happened to real people that I knew. This wasn’t planned, but stories have a way of going where they want to.

The posting of pages will continue to be irregular for a while.

Unrelated to the content of this week’s comic: If you like great pens and pencils for good prices, I give a hearty (and unasked-for) recommendation of Cult Pens. It is from this fine establishment that I purchased the pencil, blue leads and pen I use to make this comic.

And because I know you care deeply, here are two little bits of what the comic looks like before I clean it up in Photoshop:

This one was almost good enough in black and white. So I added more colour than usual.

The rabbit entered the story via my sketchbook during my finishing-college-assignments break. I totally didn’t see it coming, but I am very excited about where the story is headed the next few weeks.

I’m pretty sure that Mrs Gloryface was about to say, ‘Oh Shine, Jesus, Shine’, because that is the natural reaction of a televangelista when confronted with the sight of her husband’s demon-ravaged body, but I thought I would play it safe and cut her off midstream. This is, after all, a comic for the whole family.
