How to create 3D TEXT in Photoshop

I recently learned a great way of making 3D text in Photoshop which i thought was IMPOSSIBLE in Photoshop. In very short time you can create a great looking 3D text which you can use for your blogs and websites.

For this tutorial I am using Photoshop CS3. It can also be created using Photoshop CS2 or Photoshop 7.

Lets start :

Open Photoshop

Click on New to Create a New file and choose the resolution high like 1600 x 1200px.

Click OK to start creating a new image.

Now Click on Text button to begin writing on the image.

Now write the first alphabet you want to convert into 3D.

Then right click on S layer and click on Rasterize type.
Now with S layer selected Go to Edit>Transform>Distort . Now Distort the Alphabet from sides to give it a 3D look.
Right Click on S layer and select Duplicate Layer to create a Duplicate layer of S and name it as S1.

Now with S1 layer selected go to Edit>Free Transform. Then move the S1 layer 6 to 10 pixels up and 3 to 4 pixels right or left

Now right click on S1 layer and select Bending Options. Then select the Gradient Overlay and choose the colours that you want. Set the angle to show the light colour outside or set accordingly.

Here is the final output TADAAAA!!!!

No More ! Google Adsense Video Units ….

The much hyped Adsense Video Units which allow Video ads to run on your blog had been shut down in April after a bad response from the audience.

I think people didn’t find them useful because they needed to be played manually. And moreover they were boring as one has to watch them like those we watch on TV! Who likes them?? arrgggghhh!!! . I feel that’s a good decision of Google as they say they want to focus on other things ..

So if you are still running them on your blogs then remove them now as they will not turn the precious clicks into money !.

How to blog with Microsoft Office Word 2007

Microsoft Office 2007 has very smart feature with which you can publish your documents as blog posts or just use it like windows live writer. All you need is Microsoft office 2007 installed on your system. So lets get started with Blogging in Microsoft Word 2007.

These steps will help you in setting up your blog for use with Microsoft Word 2007.

Lets go:

Open up Microsoft Word 2007 on your PC.

Now click on the left cornered button with office logo then many options will open.

Select Publish and then choose Blog under this option.

Now a Register a Blog account window will appear.

Click on Register now to set up your blog.

Select your Blogging platform like Blogger, Wordpress, etc.

For example I am using Blogger as blogging platform and then click on Next.

Enter your Username and Password .

Choose a Server for storing your images. If you have a server then enter the upload URL and source URL otherwise you will have to choose None-Don’t upload pictures. Sometimes blog service providers automatically host images you upload in the post, so contact your Blog service provider for more information.

Click on OK then Word will ask for your confirmation on sending information.

Now choose your blog and you are ready to blog.

Google the Monster is now ready to enter into the OS market with their latest offering of Chrome OS. The whole blogosphere is tweeting about Google Chrome OS. After the success of their Chrome Browser Google seems to be quite confident about their coming open source OS.

In a market where about 90% people use Microsoft Windows, Google Chrome will have to struggle hard in order to dominate. But if we look at the buzz going all over the world about Google’s new product, it can expect good response from people. It is also being said that Chrome will also be shipped with new laptops from HP, Acer and others.

Will the GOOGLE Chrome OS hit Microsoft really hard??? Lets wait and see!

These days we are seeing a boost in Internet users all over the world. Now most of the people want to get recognized by their own web sites. Moreover the web sites can also be seen as the future money makers as the blogs have a lot of earning potential inside them if written properly.

If you are also one of those trying to get a new web site for yourself then always try to consider these following tips when choosing a domain name for your web site or blog :

My most important recommendation is that always try to get a dot com ( .com ) domain. Its a fact that we remember the web site name with dot com easily rather than those .co.us or co.uk , .org & others . It also helps in preventing confusion in web site names. Domains like dot co dot uk ,us,in ,etc are suitable if you have a web site representing your Business. Moreover dot org is suitable for those web site related with organizations or institutions.

Short Domain name : Big web site addresses are difficult to remember & to type too as there are mistakes often. But short names are easy to share & remember.

Do not try to get a domain name which is an intimating address of some other web site like shoemoney.com to xhoemoney.com or something else like that . Hey I suggested a new name .. he he:) . Try to get your own unique name.

If you are having a domain name in your mind then you can check for its availability at web sites like Check Domain & get it registered at the earliest.

Try to use short form of the name which is in your mind & then try to apply it as domain. It results into better & shorter domain name.

Understanding Ad Channels in Google AdSense

Most of you who are using AdSense & don't know what are those Ad Channels Right !! Ad Channels which you see during the setting up of an ad for your Blog or Web Site. The same question was in my mind when I started using AdSense in June 2007 last year. But I got the answer at that time & started configuring them every time I set up an ad.

Now its time for you to understand the Ad Channels in AdSense which is really a great feature of Google AdSense. First of all you should know that Ad Channels have nothing to do with ads display .

So lets understand them in a simple & a short way..

When ever you setup an ad in AdSense, Google asks you to create an ad channel for the ad. The Ad Channel you create helps you to track the performance of ads which come under the channel.

Performance of ads includes the number of clicks the ads get. Always name the ad according to the size & the location where you are going to place the ad on your blog. For example- I am going to use 468x60 ad on right top of my blog, then I would give the name to the ad like '468x60 Top Right ad' which will help me check them better.

This will give you a better idea of the location of Ads on your site where they get maximum clicked or attention. This can also help you get rid of extra unwanted ads on your blog which are just occupying your precious blog space.

I would reccomend you to first experiment & then choose where to place ads so that you get maximum profit. So by configuring ad channels you can earn big, if you follow it properly.

Hi guysz I am sorry for delay of this post in which I decided to tell you about the result of Entrecard Featured Status item after a week as I bought it.

So here is what I got :-

It helped my blog reach 512ec/day price for a 125x125 ad on Entrecard widget. Though the price is not same at present or may be same if you check but it really helped me cover those 750ec easily which I spent on buying Featured Status.

Google updating Page Rank - July 2008

Well the time has come again & Google is set to update the page ranks of Web sites. Last year when I started my blog I was able to reach Page Rank 6 which was for a short time & it dropped to 4 . Google updates the page rank to refresh the Webs site database but unfortunately many sites have to suffer as they see dropping in their higher ones to lower .

Anyway, its also said that this update may bring smiles to the owners of the sites which were earlier penalized by Google in its last update.

Like most of the guys I have worked a lot on my Blog's back links number , SEO & traffic. Lets keep the fingers crossed & hope for the best..

A dialog box appears asking to search for words on the page.

Then type in your blog address in 2 different ways to check your blog listing

I was wandering on Entrecard to find something to boost my ad sales on Entrecard. Then in the Shop there, I found a lot of things which you can buy at the cost of your Entrecard Credits.

Google Adsense Referral closing down, Welcome Google Affliate Network!

Google has decided to shut down their current Adsense Referrals Program as they have tied up with Doubleclick. Now Google is almost ready to launch their new program called Google Affiliate Network.

I came to know this from a mail from Google team which says that the program is down & the new one will be launched soon!. Here's clip of their mail :

If you are currently running their referral ads, then remove it from your site as their will be no conversions now . I have removed my one referral ad of 'Download Manager' when I came to know about this, as they are of no use now & are just occupying Web site space..

Google Affiliate Network will be better than the Adsense Referral program as this is what Google is saying.

Let's hope it'll BE the same what Google says & the publishers like us will be able to earn better.

It took about 70 days or 2 months for the CD to reach me as they already said. But to much of my surprise they Really ! sent me the CD free of COST straight from Netherlands( I think! ) .

The CD contains Ubuntu Operating System which is a Linux based OS. The OS gives you free tools which can help you surf the Web, Create Documents , Spreadsheets & many more tools which normally we get from Windows. The OS perfect for Home, Education use & for Business needs too! as its written on the CD pack. I'll definitely give it try it when my PC needs windows to be reinstalled he he!

If you don't wanna spend money on expensive Windows or Mac then its a free alternative for those two..

I was so Happy! to see my mailbox as it was having my first check from ReviewME.com, a company about which you all know, if don't then read here! .

I signed up with Reviewme.com a few months ago, but I didn't gave it attention as I was busy with my Grade 12th exams. But after I started blogging again from May then I decided to check this site. I started taking review offers from ReviewME from about 20th May .

I earned just $22.50 in last 10 days of May 2008. The minimum amount to get paid by check was $25.00 , Oh! Man I missed that. So my payment was on hold. But in June I made around $85 from sponsored reviews & the net balance reached $107.50 ... he he , I had crossed the threshold payment value of $25.00 & I was eagerly waiting for my little sweet check to come & to announce it on my Blog.
