Well 2012 is almost over and it's been quite exhausting, so much to do with so little time. The word and action that will be taken next year is CONSOLIDATION. The dictionary definition is "to unite into one system or combine". I have been heading in this direction for a long time and it started with deleting all the scam, non paying, forever changing terms, waste of time PTC websites and just keeping the reliable, paying websites. For those of you who participate in Paid to Click, you have been down this same road. Although PTC sites have been slow for me these days, I learned a very important lesson this year by watching the admins. Take a look around, start comparing all your favorite earning websites and hopefully you will see the same thing. We all know most PTC sites are designed for advertising, that's the bulk of their business. However, now sites are adding surveys, paid searches, offers, tasks, coupons, videos, rebates for shopping, Facebook pages and tons of opportunities, just for members to earn. Some websites are even linking to real job boards or have a place in their forum where members can post jobs. It's basically a one stop shop, everything you need in one place (remember consolidation), to help you earn a living online. Who could ask for anything more right?

Let me give you another example of consolidation. I joined this wonderful website called Swagbucks because a Mylotter told me it was an easy and fun way to earn some cash. They were definitely right and Swagbucks has paid me several times for doing close to nothing. Seriously this is not an endorsement to win any referrals. I installed the Swagbucks toolbar, take the daily poll and conduct searches, that's it. Since I spend so much time on the internet, most of my money comes from searches. Well things have been quite slow in the PTC world lately so I started looking around Swagbucks one day to find other ways of earning. They have the coolest videos especially ones that suit my interests. These are the same videos you find on Youtube and ETV. They even have movie trailers and I absolutely love those. Why the heck would anyone watch a video on Youtube for free when Swagbucks will pay you? My favorites are the celebrity gossip videos, you know when they catch the big star without makeup or kissing in public.

Then I noticed they had free offers and coupons. Oh but wait it gets better. Cash back for shopping online? Wow, talk about a waste. I am a member of another "rebate" website which I hardly use and Swagbucks has the exact same stores this website has on their list. Ok scratch that rebate site off my list; one less banner to advertise on my website. One of my favorite PTC websites also has a paid to search toolbar but guess what? They did not pay as much as Swagbucks and they had restrictions on how many searches could be done in one day. Then they had the nerve to change their terms and require members to do at least one offer in order to be paid. Of course you already know what happened to them right? Scratch that website off my list. Are you getting the picture now? What is the point of having a whole bunch of websites that do the same thing? The more stuff I do on Swagbucks, the more I can earn. Not trying to say that Swagbucks is the premiere website but just using them as an example so you see my point. If you find a website that has everything you need, make this website your favorite and watch how quickly the money adds up. Remember, the Goal for 2013 is Consolidation.

Guess what? I finished my second book called CLICK CLICK CASH and it's now on Amazon. Feeling very good right now, like floating on a cloud. This new book is about the Paid To Click (PTC) industry based on all my years of clicking, the experiences and many many lessons learned. It's no secret I am a big fan of PTC websites and love sharing all my knowledge about them with anyone who asks. In the popular Mylot forum, of course most of the members constantly discuss PTC websites and constantly ask me questions. I found myself replying to the same questions all the time. That's when I decided to write down my answers and put them in a book to help others.

The book is a great tutorial for PTC newbies. It explains in detail how PTC works and even gives a glossary of terms. After readers understand the basics, the book also tells them how to find paying websites and how to avoid scams. Lots of good information and advice in this book but there is also something the experienced clicker can use. The chapter on scams is very much needed judging by all the discussions started in Mylot. Believe it or not, members click for years and still manage to get scammed. Besides PTC websites, there are other ways of earning online listed in the book. Just like my blog here, my writing style is user friendly and does a great job of explaining things so the reader is comfortable and actually retains more information easily. Ok so now the big question, how can you get a copy of this book? Just click on the banner below and enjoy. Although the book is reasonably priced ($3.75), you can also get a free copy, that is if you don't mind filling out a short survey on the ShareCash website (see link under My Favorites).

I just signed up with ADFLY because I keep hearing good things about them in the Mylot forum so decided to give them a shot. There are many link revenue websites but ADFLY works best for me because it allows you to name your own links. This little feature right here is a real time saver when you start getting tons of links. Earning extra cash by link sharing is the hottest trend these days. Even the big paid to click sites like Clixsense use link sharing.

This is how the ADFLY program works. Say you have a blog or website and you need traffic to your site. You most likely post in forums and put your link in the signature line or perhaps the profile page like I do on Mylot. Well you take this LINK to your site and allow ADFLY to add some codes to the link. Now whenever anyone clicks on your new link, an advertisement will load. The viewer has the option to look at the advertisement or just visit your website. ADFLY pays you every time someone clicks on your new converted link, so you earn money from your traffic and get visitors to your blog. It's a win-win for everyone.

If you are going to be on the internet especially those trying to earn extra cash, you must learn that you can pretty much be paid for any activity you do online. The money is there to be made, you just have to find it and sometimes it takes patience but that is what this blog is all about, learning different ways to earn online so I hope you are taking good notes. Look around when you are surfing and see all the ads, they are everywhere. You cannot get away from those ads. This is money people, get your share.

If you want to sign up with ADFLY, just click on the banner below. Good luck with your online earning.

Do you love writing short articles about your favorite topics? Having trouble with writer's block and can't seem to finish that novel you started years ago? Well take a mental break and earn some extra cash in your spare time. There are many websites that will pay you to write articles. Some of them pay good money up front, mostly for experienced writers though. Most of the websites now pay writers with a method called Revenue Sharing. Here's a brief description of how this program works. You write the article and the website places the article on their site surrounded by hundreds of ads. Any revenue earned from the ads are split between you and the website, normally 50/50 split but there are a few sites that pay the writers more. All you have to do in this partnership is concentrate on writing quality articles. No website to maintain, no worrying about getting traffic, no investments or fees. This post will be dedicated to providing links to these websites that will pay you for your wonderful writing talents. Keep checking back for more sites to be added and good luck. Just click on any title link to enter websites.

Still taking steps to complete my ultimate goal of working from home. I just love the flexibility of paid to click sites, surveys, blogging and of course the Mylot forum, but let's face it, the real money is not there. Definitely cannot earn a living from these websites but the extra money sure comes in handy sometimes especially getting paid from all of them at the same time. Love when that happens!

Anyway finally got the nerve to apply at Alpine Access for one of those virtual assistant positions or perhaps customer service. Not trying to brag but I have over twenty years of experience working with clients over the phone and in person. I was just looking for some part time work to get my feet wet and get adjusted to working from home and possibly make it full time down the road.

Well I was in for a very rude awakening. After uploading my resume, filling out a personal profile with somewhat nosey questions, picking my work hours and then writing an essay about why I wanted to work for Alpine, there was an exam. Can you believe this? A timed one hour exam.

This was no ordinary exam either. It started off quite easy with general "personality" questions, basically how you interact with other people. If you chose too many "neutral" traits, the exam would prompt you again to narrow the choices. Had I known this, it would have saved me a ton of time. Then there was a typing test which is usually expected. Here is where the exam took a slight curve towards getting difficult. You were given a long list of words to guess their meanings and it was multiple choice. I know what you are thinking multiple choice is easy right? Not when all the words on the list are ones you never heard of; definitely not used in every day conversation. I had to look up every single word in the dictionary and of course that took up more time.

Now comes the hard part. They gave you a list of words and a sentence with a bunch of blanks. You had to rearrange all the words to make a complete sentence and once again the words they chose were not ordinary. By this time my brain is racked and I honestly felt like quitting but the exam was almost over so I continued. The very last part was looking at three-d objects and then choosing how they would look from different views. Huh? What the hell does this have to do with helping people? I'm not applying for an engineer job, just normal phone work. It felt as if I were back in tenth grade algebra class again.

Seriously folks, this exam was way over the top. I may even have forgotten some of the material on the exam but you have a general idea of what to expect if you want to apply with this company. Needless to say, they rejected my application for employment based on my exam results no doubt. No worries though, it was not meant to be and where one door closes, another one will open. I hope my experience will help you out one day. Good luck.

I just wanted to say this for the record and get it off my chest. I don't care how much anyone loves writing, this is hard WORK in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I really love writing and definitely not complaining but it's easy to understand why there are so many blogs out there with links that have long expired or have a "this domain name for sale" sign attached to it. Those bloggers threw in the towel just like I did years ago.

Writing your thoughts down on internet paper is the easy part, for me and pretty sure it's the same for most bloggers. The tricky part is maintaining the content and layout of the blog. Let me give you some examples to explain better. The other day I removed a small banner that was used for members to register at Mylot. I wanted to make my own banner that matched my layout. No hurry on getting this banner done, more important things to work on. Well after deleting this banner I had forgotten that the banner was also mentioned in one of my earlier posts and when did I find this out? After a potential referral asked me where the banner was. Yikes! Unfortunately they signed up for Mylot anyway without my referral name, but he thanked me for the great review. So of course a decision had to be made. Either get my new Mylot banner back up fast or change the post. You see my point now?

Here is another example but I will make it short. My very first blog I wanted tons of traffic so of course Blog Rolling was the hot thing to do back then. I don't know if people still do this now. Anyway keeping up with all those blog links became a monthly chore. Like I mentioned above, blogs were shutting down all the time and blog rolling just became one big headache. There was no time to write any posts, can you believe this? Isn't that the whole point of blogging to share your thoughts?

Well I have learned my lesson this time and hopefully helped you readers with this mini lesson. Blogging is like a full time job but it does not have to overwhelm you. Write when you feel inspired. Rushing or forced blogging jeopardizes the content and sometimes originality. Work smarter not harder and this will cut down on the maintenance side of blogging. If you absolutely must do these blogging chores, do them when you have a block of time so you can get it all done and not have to redo those things. Thanks for listening to my rant and it's on to my next post!

Brand Names Do Work

Not long ago I used to own a blog called Money Under My Mattress. It was a very popular blog about earning money on the internet, basically a tutorial about the Paid To Click (PTC) world. When I started earning online many years ago, PTC was the only way I knew how to earn online. Although it was an informative blog which taught others how to earn, Blogger decided to ban my blog and called it a spam magnet. Not their fault at all, PTC does have a bad reputation in some circles and does draw a ton of spam.

Anyway I gave up blogging for awhile because my feelings were hurt and even got angry for a minute. After my tantrum died down, I decided to give blogging another shot. Afterall, I have so much knowledge to share with my fellow opportunity seekers or whatever name they are using these days. Now to decide on a title for my blog. I really wanted to keep the same name since it worked so well; everyone thought the title was so catchy. Well if you follow this blog or even the old one, then you already know I am quite a big fan of the forum called MYLOT. Besides PTC websites, Mylot is a big earner for me and the topic of many discussions and blog posts. So it was only natural for me to give my blog a title that at least mentioned the name Mylot.

Well I already have a Squidoo lens which is a tutorial about Mylot and that lens is called The Secret of Mylot. This lens gets a TON of traffic and when you type the word Mylot in Google, my lens is listed second. Can you believe this? I could hardly believe this either. I worked very hard on this lens and it showed with my Google ranking and number of followers. Then the idea hit me; why not use the same name for my blog and capitalize on this success? Why reinvent the wheel right? Of course not! So my friends, if something is working for you, just build on it from there. Learn from me, brand names do work!

The Real Secret of Mylot

Well there are so many good reasons why Mylot is my favorite forum but the most important reason, is money. Unlike other forums that earn millions of dollars from advertisers and keep all the profits, Mylot pays their members for participating in their forum. Did you know you can actually earn real cash just for discussing your favorite topics with different people from all around the world? You sure can but many new members do not understand how Mylot works and eventually quit. After many months of posting they only earn a few pennies. This happens to all members in the beginning and most usually get frustrated and give up. Let's set the record straight right from the start, you will not get rich on Mylot. You can however earn some extra cash in your spare time. Think about it, you are spending time on the internet anyway, might as well get paid for it. This post will teach you all kinds of tips to make the most of your time on Mylot which means earning more. After all, everyone loves money.

1. Learn the Rules

You won't like this first step but it's an absolute must. The very first thing you must do, to earn more on Mylot is to learn the rules. You can take the time now to learn the rules or risk losing your account by learning them later. It will not matter how much money you earn on Mylot if they delete your account so don't take any stupid chances. Please don't be discouraged but Mylot has a lot of rules and some of them can be tricky. This article will not list all the rules here because it would fill the entire page. However here are the top rules members break that cause them to lose their accounts. Please do not do these things on Mylot: promotion in any shape or form, placing referral or affiliate links in discussions, talking about the Mylot earnings system, spamming the forums, flaming members and profanity. Mylot frowns on members breaking the rules and they will not hesitate to suspend your account without warning. Another great way to learn the rules is by visiting the Mylot interest category (forum). Read through a couple of discussions and the types of questions members are asking. You will find that many new members have the same questions you may have. Learn from others.

2. Get an Avatar

Hopefully after learning the rules, you are still reading. Don't worry it gets easier. The next thing you need to do is make a name for yourself by choosing an avatar. What's an avatar? It's an image that represents who you are on Mylot. It can be any image or an actual photo of yourself. Think about this for a minute, it's a very important decision. The avatar you choose is going to tell all the other members who you are as a person. What do you want people to know about you? How do you want to be perceived? When you first join Mylot, everyone gets a little green man which is the Mylot default avatar. There are so many of those "little green men" on Mylot and it's very confusing to tell them apart. Get the point? You want to stand out so members can find you right? Of course you do, so don't fall into the trap of the green default. Get an avatar. There are some members that don't even reply to posts with those default avatars. Can you believe that? If no one replies to your posts, you can't make any money. Think of your avatar as your reputation. After members get to know you personally, they will participate in all your discussions just because they know you (avatar). Members will come looking for you and often seek your advice since you have already proved your expertise on the rules. Oh and please don't change your avatar on a monthly basis. This makes no sense at all and even more difficult for others to find you. So be creative and start looking for that special avatar to stand out in the crowd

.

3. Choose 6 Interest Categories

Now that you have an avatar, it's time to choose six interest categories (forums) you will be posting in. Only six interests you ask? But you have tons of topics to choose from and the more topics you choose, the more you can earn right? Wrong. If you are joining Mylot to make lots of friends and you love discussing many topics, by all means, go ahead and pick all the topics you want. But if you joined Mylot to earn some cash, then you have to make good use of your valuable time. Let me explain it another way. Say you have a best friend and you guys talk on the phone every single day. What do you talk about with your best friend? Most likely work, relationships, what's on television and your favorite hobbies. Anyway think of Mylot as your new best friend. Focus on those six topics that you enjoy discussing and you will have no trouble coming up with something to post. Just think about all the questions you would ask your friend over the phone but instead post your questions on Mylot. Remember, time equals money so don't waste your time trying to find worthy discussions to participate in. So how does choosing six topics save time? If you notice up to six images (represent interest category) can fit on one single line from the home page. All you have to do is click on the image to find your favorite topics to discuss with your new best friend, Mylot. Choosing the right topics is the best tip to earning more on Mylot. If you truly enjoy something, you will talk about it all the time. The more posts you make, the more you can earn.

4. Quality or Quantity Posts

There is a long standing argument on Mylot between which earns more, quantity or quality posts? Well veteran members understand how QUALITY posts will always win this race in the end. You can waste all your time typing nonsense posts all you want for meager pennies but when you are ready to make some serious money, listen up. Most new members and some veterans, think Mylot pays one cents for every single post. This is not true. In fact, Mylot has a secret formula they use to calculate earnings and even discussing this topic is against the rules. They do however give members many hints as to how they go about paying its members for their participation. The key word in this paragraph is PARTICIPATION and many members do not understand what this means. The sole purpose of Mylot is to discuss, which is a verb. This implies, you must do something to actively participate in the discussion. Adding comments like “good luck, congrats and other one liners” are not adding anything to the discussion. Why should Mylot pay for these kinds of posts? Would you? A good tip when starting discussions is to always try and phrase the post in question format. There are many different opinions on Mylot and members love to answer questions.

Another method of starting a discussion is the bold statement format. Be careful phrasing your statement using this format though so you do not offend anyone. The basic idea is to get others talking about a specific topic of your choice. Remember your best friend and how long you stay on the phone? One more tip many members forget. Why even start the discussion if you are not going to respond? That is the whole purpose of the discussion right? Yet many new members just waste time starting many posts and never replying. They cannot seem to get the QUANTITY idea out of their head. A good quality discussion can go on for days when other members join in, which means more money for you and all because you took the time to start a good quality post. And speaking of quality, try and use complete sentences, good grammar and no slang. Reason being, you are talking with people from all over the world and there are language barriers. One wrong word could take on a whole new meaning for others. You will run into this a lot on Mylot so just be patient and try and help others to understand your point so they can also participate in the discussion. When you help others, you will be paid back in more ways than you know.

Summary and the Secret of Mylot

Did you figure out the real Secret of Mylot yet? Ok here it is: Learn the Rules, Have some Fun and Earn some Cash. That's it you are probably asking? It’s really that simple. 7. Post useful links in discussions

The most important thing to remember about this rule, what is considered a useful link? Say the topic of discussion was Oprah is giving away free KFC chicken for one day only. Of course everyone needs that link to Oprah's website. Why not make it easy for members to get their free chicken? The rule of thumb here is make sure the link is related to the topic of discussion. Now say for instance you are an affiliate of KFC and have your very own referral link. Oh boy, lots of money just giving away free chicken and your referral link also relates to the topic of discussion. So go ahead and post that link since it's a useful link. Wrong, wrong and dead wrong. Referral links are never allowed on Mylot, no matter if it does relate to the topic. Let me repeat that. Referral links are never allowed on Mylot. For some strange reason, everyone seems to forget this rule. Don't be one of those members.

8. Use Mylot private messages to chat

Mylot pays its members for discussions, not chatting. Do you understand the difference between the two? Not many people do. Discussions are thought provoking conversations, they make everyone want to join in, keyword here is everyone. If your question is directed to one individual, your new Mylot buddy, then you are chatting so send that person a private message. Any type of casual talking back and forth with members, may be considered chatting. It does not have to be with just one member, it can be a group of members. Just remember, everyone can participate in the thought provoking discussion and you won’t go wrong.

9. Remember Mylot is international

Mylot is the most popular forum in the world. Do you realize what this means? It means you will meet people from all around the world with different opinions, different languages and certainly different lifestyles. Due to all these differences and language barriers, there may be some difficulty with communication. Anyway Mylot encourages us to help each other especially those who don't have a full grasp of the English language. If you understand what a new member is saying but others in the discussion do not, lend that new member a hand and explain it to the rest of the group. Don't be afraid to ask the new member questions if you don't fully understand their question. Just remember, be polite and don't forget about our differences.

10. You can advertise on Mylot too

No explanation needed for this rule. All you have to do is just look around Mylot and see all the millions of colorful eye catching ads. One tidbit to mention though, advertising is what allows Mylot to pay its members so feel free to give back to our wonderful community when you strike it rich.

11. Always post using English

Members can only post in English because unfortunately the Mylot staff is not bilingual. This rule is self explanatory. Perhaps one day in the near future, there will be all sorts of Mylot communities in different languages. One can dream right?

12. Report issues to Mylot staff, don't complain

This rule is easy to understand but members do misuse this rule all the time. The place where this rule gets broken is in the Mylot Interest Category. This is a forum dedicated to discussing everything about Mylot. It is fine to ask all the questions you want about Mylot, that's how you learn. However the keyword here is “issues” and you must send Mylot a private message for any issues. Don't air dirty laundry in the Mylot forum. Complaining about Mylot or other issues does not help anyone and Mylot frowns on this type of behavior. Asking other members for help with Mylot is not discussing issues so that's acceptable. Understand the difference now?

13. Mylot loves compliments

The staff love hearing how much members like Mylot. Finally the very last rule on the list and for once, this is a fun rule. You get to brag all about Mylot and how it has changed your life. Tell everyone you know how much you love Mylot and the best part of all? Mylot pays you for referrals of course. You earn 25% of what your friends earn and this does not affect their earnings. Mylot also makes it easy to spread the word with flyers. Post your Mylot referral link in your email signature to invite new friends. So have some fun spreading the word and celebrate the Mylot community. As stated in Discussion Guidelines 1 to 6, Mylot has a ton of rules and many members lose their account for breaking these rules. Mylot is a great community that you will truly enjoy especially making new friends and earning cash for discussing your favorite topics. Like many members, you may find yourself making Mylot a daily habit.

Honestly, there are a lot of rules on Mylot. You need to understand them before starting any discussions. You do not want to lose your account because you broke a rule and this is one of the top reasons members lose their account. Don’t be frightened by all the fine print. This post will explain everything and soon you will be an expert in no time. Another good place to look for information is the FAQ menu located at the very bottom of the screen on any Mylot page. Once you learn the ins/outs of Mylot, it will be so easy and lots of fun making new friends and earning money at the same time.

1. Please take warnings from Mylot staff seriously

This rule is self explanatory but there are many rogue members who seem to think the rules don't apply to them. Spend enough time on Mylot and you will definitely learn quickly who the rule breakers are. They are rude, have no online etiquette and will sometimes tell you outright they don't care about the rules. If you don't want to risk losing your account, it's best to stay away from these rule breakers. So how many warnings do you get from Mylot staff? Who knows but why take any chances.

2. Help Mylot - send abuse reports

Well you already know about troublemakers but what are trolls and flame wars? Webster’s dictionary defines a troll as a folklore dwarf creature that lives under bridges but this is not the troll we are talking about however the troll on the internet certainly behaves just like that fairytale creature. A troll is a person who deliberately sets out to offend others. They will say all kinds of hateful things to make others angry, that is their only goal. When you continue to engage in this somewhat hostile discussion, it then becomes a flame war (heated discussion). There is no real discussion, just insults flying back and forth and both sides trying to get their point across. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with other members, but be respectful to one another. Mylot does not like trolls and flame wars and encourages us to report them.

3. Help out when you can

The Mylot staff tries to monitor the site constantly, but they also need your eyes and ears. Mylot in a way is making us all junior deputies. We are all responsible citizens in this online community and we all share the burden of keeping our town safe. There are Mylot moderators who constantly monitor the forum and they delete posts that break the rules, warn members when they are doing something wrong or you may even get a private message from a moderator. Just one caution, don't confuse moderator with helping Mylot out. It is not your job to monitor the forum and go around pointing the finger at every member. This type of behavior enrages members and soon you will have a bad reputation. What is the point of being a Mylot member if no one wants to join any of your discussions? If you can phrase the offensive behavior to the member in a friendly manner, then go ahead and let the member know. That is a way of sharing your Mylot knowledge. If however the member is offended by your finger pointing, then please leave that member alone and just report the matter to Mylot. Understand the difference now?

4. Rate for Mylot reputation system

Not only can you start discussions on Mylot but members get to grade each other. The Mylot discussion rating system is very easy to understand but should not be taken lightly. Read the post (or view photo). If you find the post or photo useful, then click on the (+) sign to give the post or photo a positive rating. If you do not feel the post or photo was useful, then click on the (-) sign to give the post or photo a negative rating. If you have no strong opinions either way, you should not rate the post or photo. Many actions are indeed “neutral” and should not be rated at all. If you feel the post or photo violates the Mylot community guidelines, then click on the (!) sign to report the abuse to Mylot staff. The discussion rating system is private to all members. Mylot feels this keeps the rating system objective and better for the members. If you disagree with a member in a discussion, this has nothing to do with the rating of that post. Do not use the rating system to harm other members. Mylot actively monitors the ratings to identify and prevent inappropriate ratings.

5. Search before starting discussions

The best way not to break this rule, is by doing a search of your topic before posting. It's ok to discuss the same topic. There are over 240,000 Mylot members so there is no way you won't run into some overlap. However bring something new to the table for that specific topic. Here is an example. Say the discussion is about American Idol and how much everyone enjoyed this year's season finale. You can start a post about comparing all the season finallies and what everyone liked about them. See the difference? American Idol is still the main topic but the agenda of the discussion has changed. Another way to avoid breaking this rule is by choosing interest categories and posting in those forums. This way, you get to monitor the different discussions and know when someone has posted a similar topic you want to discuss.

6. Always give quality responses

If you don't know how to respond, did your mother ever tell you the phrase “if you can't find something nice to say then don't say anything at all?” Well Mylot pays its members for discussions so it's ok to disagree with others. However you do not have to answer every single post you see, especially if you have no good response to the post. Phrases like “I don't know, who cares, wish I could help” or any comment that does not help the poster in any way is simply useless. Mylot does not pay for these types of posts so why waste your time? Find another topic where you have something useful to contribute. Like I mentioned above, there are a lot of rules on Mylot and these are just a few. Please take the time to learn these rules so you don't risk losing your account.

Does Google Pay You For Searches?

There's no way anyone can use the internet and not see the thousands of ads plastered all over the place. Just looking at those blue links makes me think of the millions of dollars in advertising revenue Google is making. Are you getting your share of the pie?

The internet is the greatest invention of all time. You can become anyone, go anywhere and do just about anything you want on the internet. Honestly, you would never have to leave your home with the internet's help. Simply put, the INTERNET is a gold mine. Let this statement really sink in for awhile and imagine all the possibilities if, you were the owner of the internet. Well of course you can't own the internet, but you can at least earn some extra cash while using this World Wide Web.

Google doesn't own the internet either. Does this statement surprise you? With all the publicity Google gets, you would think they own the internet. Well they don't and that's good news for us small people with big dreams. One of the ways I enjoy earning online is by Paid Searches. That's right, companies PAY YOU to search the internet. If you have to search anyway, why not get paid to do it? These companies don't mind sharing some of the advertising revenue with the people who actually do the work. After all, we are the ones spending hours surfing the internet and clicking on all those blue links.

There are lots of companies that will pay you to use their Search engine and more popping up every day. My favorite website to use for searches is SWAG BUCKS and it comes with a nifty free toolbar that can be integrated into Explorer or Firefox. Get this, they even have an app for cell phones. Another good website with paid searches is INBOX DOLLARS and they will even give you one dollar for downloading their toolbar. Last is my favorite forum called MYLOT and they also pay their members for searches. These websites are just the ones I personally use for paid searches. You could probably do a search yourself and find lots more. The point being, if you have to search the internet, Stop Searching For Free. Make some extra cash for yourself and stop making it for Google.

I Absolutely Hate Taking Surveys

I absolutely hate doing surveys. They are long, boring, confusing, useless, never geared towards my interests and just plain old waste of time. That was until I found PaidViewpoint. The very first time I did a survey was to win a free laptop. There was a flashing ad that caught my attention while surfing the web one day. The ad simply stated "answer a few questions" to win a free laptop. Talk about an adrenaline rush; I just had to get that laptop!

Anyway after answering a few short questions it seemed as if the survey was over. After a few minutes, another screen appeared with more questions based on my answers from the previous page. At this point, the thought to quit now whispered softly in my ear but the ad said only a few more questions until that laptop was mine. To make a long story short, twenty darn minutes had passed and that laptop was no where in sight and to make matters worse my computer froze right in the middle of all that madness. I would never, repeat, never fall for this kind of crap again.

Everyone knows I am a member of the Clicker Forever fan club but always looking for more ways to earn online. One of things that really puzzled me was that people were earning from paid surveys. This was unbelievable to me and you already know why. No way can anyone earn from those things. Perhaps I aimed too high with the laptop fiasco? I would give it another shot only this time for cold hard cash.

Determined not to fail this time, I joined several survey websites hoping it would bring more earnings. Even with three sites, the same thing happened. After spending about ten minutes answering "see if you qualify" questions, of course I never got picked for the surveys and got nothing for my valuable time. Heck just doing the basic traits surveys took forever! Not to mention most of the surveys from all three sites were the same. Is this a conspiracy?

Well I got lucky one day and qualified for a survey. I could hardly contain my excitement. The survey was about breakfast sausage and it took about thirty minutes to complete. Who knew there were so many different brands of sausages. Can you believe after thirty minutes of agonizing over if the maple sausage tasted better than the garlic one, they only gave me fifty cents?!* Guess you already know my membership from all three survey sites were cancelled that same day.

I did however find a survey website that paid me for my time regardless if qualified for the surveys and that was Clixsense. Stayed with them for awhile and was paid twice. I made more money with them by NOT qualifying for the surveys. Can you believe that? It was a quantity thing and not quality. Anyway Clixsense only paid with Amazon gift cards so grew real tired of online shopping and quit them too.

I heard about PaidViewpoint in the Mylot Forum and the poster was saying how easy it was to earn there. She said there were never more than ten questions and multiple choice by the way and they paid for every single survey regardless if qualified. She never spent more than three minutes max on each survey and they emailed her when surveys were available. She got paid for referrals. Their website server was super fast so no frozen screens and redoing questions. They gave you one dollar for just joining. Now this statement caught my attention. Where do I sign up? Does all this sound too good to be true? Let me tell you, everything the poster stated above was 100% true. I absolutely hate doing surveys but if and when time permits, PaidViewpoint gets my vote any day. Click on the banner below if you want to join.

A Clicker Forever

There are so many people who say Paid To Click (PTC) websites are a waste of time, mostly because they pay in pennies and it seems like forever reaching payouts. There are hundreds of discussions on MYLOT with angry members complaining why they hate PTC. Most of these members have been scammed or have legitimate reasons not to like clicking. Heck, most of them did waste their time clicking since the sites they joined either closed or they never reached payout and gave up. Whatever their reason, there is a POSITIVE side to clicking on PTC websites.

If you are thinking about quitting PTC sites, please read these very good reasons to continue clicking before making your decision. I have been clicking since 2006 and will never quit and here are my reasons:

FREE MONEY: Just name one place where you can get free money. Sure you can get lots of free things online but is anyone giving away money? How can this money be free you are probably thinking? Well the upside to meager earnings as others have wined about is the good ole IRS requires a minimum of six hundred dollars ($600) per year in order to report these earnings. No way you gonna come even close to those kinds of earnings clicking on PTC websites. Remember, this amount counts for EACH website. So let those pennies add up and collect your free money.

LITTLE TIME: Remember the angry members complaining about PTC being a waste of time? Well there is just one word that ends this argument, Facebook. How much time do you spend on Facebook reading their millions of ads and clicking on those links? Forwarding the links to all your friends so they can do the same. All that advertising revenue being passed around by millions of members. Is Facebook paying you one red cent for reading their ads? Wow, talk about a waste of time. It takes only 30 seconds to earn one cent on most PTC websites (2 cents per minute). Are you seriously telling me you don't have 30 minutes to spare from your busy day? Most PTC sites only give members 5-10 ads per day and even joining several sites, you can click all of them in less than an hour. You can spend an hour on Facebook and earn them millions and you earn nothing OR you can spend that hour clicking and earn some real cash. You do the math.

NO EXPERIENCE: Well this statement is self explanatory but let me add a few more things. The PTC world is constantly changing. Lots of websites are now adding all kinds of mini tasks, surveys, games, videos and so many different ways to earn more cash. No resumes or interview questions necessary. No supervisor looking over your shoulder. You work when you want and you get to pick the type of assignments you want. It's sorta like being your own boss right? Now what job let's you be in charge from the very beginning with absolutely no experience?

CLICK ANY WHERE: This is my favorite reason for staying with PTC websites, you can click from just about anywhere. If you own a laptop, you have struck gold since most places now offer free wi-fi connections. Talk about the perfect business, one you can do from anywhere and any time. Clicking also makes a good hobby for those rainy days when you are bored. Just one word of caution, be sure and check the terms first before logging in from another location. Some PTC websites only allow members to use the computer they registered with to sign on. Definitely don't want to lose your account and earnings because you broke a rule.

So after reading these very good reasons, do you still want to quit clicking? Let me put it another way. Clicking is a job that allows you to earn FREE money, with no EXPERIENCE required, that you can do any TIME and from just about ANYWHERE. As for me, I will be a clicker forever.
So after reading my review of Mylot, you finally decided to join.
After a few months you are earning good money and start telling all your
friends about Mylot. Of course you want to earn a percentage of their
earnings so you give them your Mylot referral id and wait anxiously for
them to join this wonderful community. You spot your friends in the
forum and they are just discussing like crazy. Oh boy, the money you are
going to make now! You check the Earnings link only to find out you
don't even have any referrals. What the heck is going on? This has to be
some kind of glitch or maybe a delay. Someone had to make a mistake
because you saw all of your friends online right? Now you are furious.

You
get on the phone immediately and ask each one of them what happened.
The first friend stated your referral id back to you and it was wrong,
dead wrong. She made a mistake in spelling your name. Go figure. After
all those years of being friends, she doesn't know how to spell your
name? Ok so you call the next friend and she has the same story. Get the
picture now? No need to continue this story. Bottom line, you referred
five friends to Mylot and you will not get one single penny for any of
them since they are already members. What a waste and such a shame. All
that money down the drain.

This story is just one scenario,
there could be more. Anyway you get the point. If you had a banner, all
your friends had to do was click on it and be taken directly to the
Mylot sign up page and instantly you get the credit. Banners make it
easy for others to join. They come in many sizes and can be put just
about anywhere. Put them on your blog, website, email signature and most
importantly on your Mylot profile page. This article will teach you how
to make a simple Mylot banner using pre-made templates. In time and
with practice, you may even want to design your very own banner.

1. PICK A BANNER YOU LIKE

First
you need to find a banner you like. Mylot has a page full of banners
that were made especially for members to use. Click on this link to review all the banners. Once you find a banner, right click on the banner you like to save the image to your computer.

You
will then need to upload the banner from your computer to an image
storing website. Photobucket is a great site to use, they are free and
give you tons of storage space. They also have lots of fun tools like
slideshows, scrapbooks and other ways to showcase your creativity. Click
on this link to sign up for Photobucket.

2. QUICK LESSON ON HTML CODES

Next
locate your banner on Photobucket and click INSIDE the box next to the
words "html code". A yellow message that says "copied" will pop up.
Paste the html code where you would like your banner to appear. There
will be two sets of html codes, one for the website location and one for
the image location. The image location code will always be listed
second. Another clue is the code will always end with the letters "gif"
which is the file extension used for images. Never ever change anything
in the image html code or your banner will not load properly.

3. MAKE SURE YOUR REFERRAL ID IS CORRECT
The last step is the best part. You need to type your Mylot referral
link after the http: and erase the rest of the code up to the last set
of quotes. Make sure you type the correct referral id so you can get the
proper credit. Remember the friends fiasco above? Check out the
screenshot below so you can see exactly how the html code looks. Good
luck with your banner.

2. Click on the Referrals tab
The very first time you came up with an interesting post on Mylot and there are tons of members responding to your post. Oh boy, that means good earnings and of course a chance to show off your superb writing skills. Anyway the discussion is really taking off and along comes this mylotter who responds with a reply that has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion. What the heck is going on? It's sorta like the teacher who screeches the chalkboard to get students attention. Most of the time but not always, it's going to be a new member (less than 50 posts).

This person is spamming and that is not allowed on Mylot. Nowadays spammers are very clever. They may even throw in a few appropriate words so it appears they are talking about the subject matter. The best thing to do when this happens. In my opinion, is nothing. They are waiting for you to ask more questions so they can push their product or website. Don't waste your time with spammers. If they are rude or persistent in any way, this statement does wonders: MYLOT DOES NOT TOLERATE SPAMMERS!

Watch out internet scams

I found a wonderful website back in 2009 and made a ton of money ($230) using it too. It was the easiest money I ever made on the internet, no kidding. Unfortunately the site no longer pays in cash due to the huge abuse. Cheaters mess it up for everyone. You will now earn credits which you can use for free advertising or enter drawings to win real cash.

The website is called IM REPORT CARD. Here is the actual site bio: an internet marketing community that's updated daily with new and unbiased reviews of popular internet marketing products, services and people. Get the real scoop before you buy, grade products you are familiar with, report scams, add comments and share your experiences, and get paid just for participating. So what does all this really mean? You get paid to give your opinions about internet programs you joined and stop scams at the same time. So how does this site help stop scams? What better testimony than actual members who joined those programs.

Here are just a few ways to earn on this great site: rate a review or comment, grade a product, service or person, add a comment, suggest a new product, service or person, report spam or inappropriate content and refer new members. The credits really add up fast if you are active on this site. Another good use of this website is the free profile page you can customize. I put my blog link on this page and the reviews generated a lot of traffic to my blog.

Think of this website as doing your part to help the online community stop scams, that is the ultimate goal of IM REPORT CARD. We all want to make money on the internet and most of us have come across scams and now we can do something about them. So ready to share your opinion, stop scams and earn some credits and possible cash? Just click on the banner below to join.

I have been a member of Mylot since 2007 and it never dawned on me that every single private message from other mylotters would be saved. Can you imagine how many messages were stored after all this time? There were twelve pages of messages. It was very interesting for me to take a walk down memory lane as I read each message before deleting to determine if the message was useful. Oh the questions mylotters would ask me and don't get me started on the huge amounts of spam.

Deleting private messages was a necessary but meaningful chore which I recommend you do from time to time. You might not want to wait three years as I did since it took me over an hour to finish this chore. Delete your private messages as you read them or pick a time like the end of the month to delete them. Sometimes mylotters send me detailed private messages explaining online programs they wanted me to join. These are the kinds of messages worth saving. It might not be a good idea for me to join the site at that particular time. However when I change my mind, or even forget about the suggested program, I have the private message saved with all the details. This little tip will save you tons of time and prevent you from asking the same questions as other mylotters do.

Another tip for private messages, try to put a brief description in the subject line and suggest other mylotters do the same for you. This will make sorting through private messages so much easier and faster without having to open each message to determine the topic. Unfortunately the other mylotters did not take this option. Most of their messages started and ended with "Hi, please join this great site". That line really tells you a lot huh and of course they are all great online programs right? (smile) Well that's my Mylot tip of the day. Hope you found this tip helpful and remember, watch those subject lines in private messages.

Listed below are some good tips to follow to make the most of PTC and eventually earn more cash. There are many scams on the internet and most of them you will find while doing PTC. Scams are there to take your hard earned money and after getting scammed several times, you will become easily discouraged and want to quit PTC. So please, take the time to learn everything you can about PTC so this does not happen to you.

GET ORGANIZED: Anyone have over 100 emails waiting in their inbox every day? This can be very overwhelming and sometimes even discourage you from opening your email. Here's a handy tip to help take control of that email mess. Create a folder for each of your PTC programs. Next create filters to have all incoming emails go directly to these folders. Just by taking a few minutes to set up folders, will save you a TON of time instead of sifting thru all that spam. One other plus, now you can delete all that spam with just one click.

TIME IS MONEY: The idea of PTC is to make money without spending a lot of time. The best way to make PTC worth your time is by only signing up for sites that pay at least 1 cents. Now, here's a tip to save even more time. Open one window on your browser for a PTC site and click on the link. Open another window with a different PTC site and click on a link. When the timer stops running from the first PTC site, close that window and then click another link. You can JUMP back and forth between the two PTC sites but never have more than four windows open at a time because it slows down your computer.

PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER: Some PTC sites may have viruses or worse a ton of popups that slow your computer down and cause more serious problems. Virus software can solve most of those issues. Also, if you are going to do PTC, get high speed internet. Yeah it's expensive but it will save you a ton of time and headache trying to read emails using dial up. When you start making money with PTC, it will pay for itself. Guess what else? You don't have to pay for virus software any more. Click here for the internet's best place to download free software.

INSTALL THE TOOLBAR: The amount of ads per day can change for each PTC website. However here is a tip to make sure you get as many ads as possible. Most PTC websites now have toolbars which display when ads are available. First come, first served so hurry. For those programs that don't have toolbars, just keep a browser window open for your best PTC sites. Every 30-50 minutes, hit the refresh button and whola, more ads will appear.

PAYMENT PROCESSORS: While doing PTC, you will need to be paid by these websites through an online payment processor. Most sites use Paypal or Alertpay. My preferred site is Paypal; they have been in business for many years and their secure key chain provides even more security to your account.

Would you like some free advertising?

Who does not like free advertising right? What's the catch you are probably asking? There is always a catch right? Well sort of, but this one is easy. See the little pink banner (with the word free on it) located on the right side of this blog? All you have to do is become a follower of this blog. Then you just email me your banner code and referral URL. I will place your banner on this blog for a minimum of one week or until the next person becomes a follower, free of charge. That means if no one joins, your ad could stay on this blog for a long time. Now wasn't this easy and it didn't take a lot of time. Hope you get some referrals with your banner placement.

Or if you don't want to follow me, (sad face) that's ok too, no harm done. Perhaps you would like to exchange links instead? See the My Favorites column on the right? If you put a link to this blog on your website/blog, I will do the same here. Good luck, with whatever option you choose.

Don't know how to spot a scam PTC website? Use these tips below as warning signs for possible scams. If a site has maybe one or two of these signs, that's ok especially if the site is new. However, if the site has all of these signs, stop clicking now and cash out while you can still get your money. HOW MANY ADS: This is the most obvious clue. First how many ads are you getting per day? Less than five? Stop clicking now because you will never make payout with this many ads. A good PTC site should have at least eight to ten ads per day, and this is without premium membership. This is the average but you may get more or less. Think about it - the site makes money by advertising. If they have no ads, they don't get paid AND neither do you. WHAT KIND OF ADS: Once again, pay attention to the ads. Have you seen these types of ads before? Buy referrals here, sign up for our forum, get paid fast with premium membership, referral contest, etc. Well these ads are to increase membership, they do not earn any money for the site. This is normal for a new site to show these types of ads but watch out if these are the only ads still showing after the site has been open for several months. What good are members who are not getting paid? MISSING ADMIN: This is a very important clue to spot a scam PTC site. How do you know when the admin is missing? Check the site's forum, starting with news and announcements. This part of the forum is where the admins communicate with members about what's going on with the site. Is your admin checking in on a daily basis? What about weekly? These are good signs that the admin cares about the site and its members. Believe me, when the admin goes missing, you will know immediately. How? By all the tons of screaming members posting their complaints in the forum. Chances are, the admin took the money and ran. CONFUSING TERMS: Before you join a PTC site, check the Terms of Service (TOS). The fun and exciting facts listed on the banner seem to always change based on what's happening in the PTC world but the TOS will remain the same. If the TOS keep changing, stay away from that site. The TOS should be clear and state simple facts, no vague language. Terms like "normal business day, admin deems appropriate" don't make any sense. What exactly is a normal business day? Use common sense when reading TOS. If something sounds too good to be true, then please use caution. NO FORUM: All good PTC sites now have a forum where members can discuss what they like and don't like about the site. Some forums even let you advertise banners and discuss other PTC sites. A forum is a great way to get a feel for a PTC site especially how often members are getting paid. Think about it, no admin wants its members bad mouthing them in the forum so other new members can see. Think of the forum as another form of educating yourself about PTC. Members are more than happy to share their experience and tips about PTC in the forum.

Mystery Shopping Does Exist

Do you absolutely love to shop? Ever wonder if you could get paid just to shop? Most celebrities have their very own personal shoppers. We all know how busy celebrities are right? They don't have any time to shop for clothes, shoes, jewelry or even gifts for other people. So they pay someone to do it for them. Well you don't have to move to Hollywood to become a professional shopper. There are many companies who will pay you to shop for them. True, it's not as glamorous as working for a celebrity but you get paid to do something you love anyway. On Mylot, there are many discussions about mystery shopping. What is it, how much do they pay, is it hard, is there training, are there any fees and all sorts of questions. Rather than answer the same questions over and over, I created this post so members can have one place to find their answers. The Mystery Shopping Providers Association (MSPA) is an organization that will explain everything you need to know about mystery shopping. Before you even think of joining a company that does mystery shopping, please visit this website first. The MSPA is the largest professional trade association dedicated to improving service quality using anonymous resources. They have over 250 companies listed in their database that conduct mystery shopping. Their companies do not charge any fees for assignments or use of their database. These are legit companies with real assignments. They even provide training and certification programs for shoppers that help to boost your career as a mystery shopper. Once you research everything you need to know about mystery shopping, then you can do a search right from their website to locate your first company to work for as a mystery shopper. Ready to get paid for shopping? Click on the link called Net Money under the My Favorites column on the right. Good luck future shoppers!

FREE MYLOT TRAINING

When I first started using PTC websites, I belonged to over 20+ sites but as you can see from the list below, there are only three sites remaining. These PTC sites have proven themselves worthy through the test of time and most important, PAY their members. There are hundreds of new PTC sites popping up every day with promises of instant payouts, bonuses, free upgrades, free referrals and all kinds of promises, all designed for one thing, get you to join. Please be careful when joining new PTC websites. Believe me, I have been down that road before only to find the site closed after many hours of worthless clicking. What a big disappointment and a valuable lesson learned. I use these sites personally and these are my opinions. If you have any specific questions about these websites, please contact me. I also made it easy for you to join any program. Just click on the banner when you are ready to join. Enjoy!

I was on a very popular blog one day and noticed the blogger gave only a two sentence review of my favorite website called Mylot. I thought, how will readers want to join this great site with a review that short? They need to know more, much more. So I contacted the blogger and she agreed to let me write a review for Mylot and post it on her blog. Here is my review, hope you like it.

Mylot is an online community (forum) where members can make new friends from all around the world. Talk about relationships, money, fashion, hobbies, news, music videos, children, work at home jobs, practically any topic you can think of with people who share your same interests. Did I forget to mention the best part? Mylot pays their members for posting in the forum. After joining this free forum, you will soon notice that Mylot is not your average forum. One of the first things that drew my attention was the user friendly layout. Unlike other cookie cutter forums with the grey background and box-like formatting, Mylot has a white background, a main menu toolbar, plenty of colorful images and tons of links that take members exactly where they want to go. The members of this community (called Mylotters) are extremely helpful and love sharing their knowledge, which is another benefit that attracts and keeps members active in this forum.

Besides posting in the forum, there are many other ways to earn on Mylot and they are constantly updating the site to benefit Mylotters. Here are just a few things you can do to earn extra cash on Mylot: upload photos, blogs, referring friends, searching the internet and small tasks. Mylot is a website that genuinely cares about their members. Not only do they take suggestions to improve the site, they actually listen to Mylotters and do what they promise. The moderators are very active to ensure a spam free environment but they also encourage Mylotters policing themselves which helps to create respect for each other and a strong, family-like community.

One of the best benefits of joining this wonderful forum is the Mylot profile page. If you participate in any type of earning opportunity or just want to get some traffic to your blog or website, the profile page is a must. You can place referral banners, photos, links to your blog or favorite website, product reviews or just about anything you want to share with the world, right on your Mylot profile page. This free page is the best marketing tool you will ever find on the internet and well worth the few minutes it takes to sign up for Mylot. Let me put it another way; this is free advertising space folks and believe me, you will get tons of traffic from this online community without even trying. Naturally, Mylotters are also curious people and love checking out other members profile pages. So be creative and make good use of this free space.

I have been a Mylotter since 2007 and absolutely love this website. Mylot to me is not just another GPT post forum but a place to research many other earning opportunities. Whenever I encounter a new earning program online, the first place I go for advice is Mylot. If members don’t know something about this opportunity, then by all means start a discussion and see how fast Mylotters research this program and answer your post. And the best part, getting paid for this discussion of course! Speaking of getting paid, Mylot pays monthly through PayPal and the minimum cash out is ten dollars. If you enjoy chatting, you will have no problem making payouts every month. If you are ready to become a member of this exciting online community and earn some extra cash too, click here.
