2nd Annual Tega Cay Fall Frolic Is September, 6 at Runde Field, 10 a.m. – Noon

It still feels like Summer time but crisp weather and fall time harvest is quickly approaching. This coming weekend is the Labor Day Holiday. For many of us, this long weekend is the perfect opportunity to stay at home and relax with family and friends. On Monday, Tega Cay Parks and Recreation invites residents to come enjoy our 2nd Annual Fall Frolic at Runde Park from 10 a.m. – Noon. This event is a lot like a big block party with activities for the entire family.

All Proceeds go to help the HSYC Shelter Move.

Registration for the Dog Walk and 5K Fun Run is now open.

$15 to participate and $15 to purchase a t-shirt.

(Day of event registration available for $20)

This is a rain or shine event. No Refunds.

No Dog? No Problem. You can still walk or run to help support the HSYC shelter move.

The Day of the Event

• 8:00am Check in begins. Collect your goodie bag. (Day of event registration available for $20)
• 8:30am 5K Fun Run
• 8:45am 5K Fun Walk
• 10:00am Dog Walk
• 10:45am Event Presentation – top fundraisers, 5K top finishers, prizes and giveaways.

Throughout the Day

• Enjoy vendor exhibits, entertainment, and the kids fun area. Remember to bring cash for purchases.

The Course

The 5K run and walk will be on the gravel roads and park trails through the Anne Springs Close Greenway. You will enjoy the scenic lakes and natural areas.

The Dog walk is a one mile loop on gravel roads and park trails around Stumpy Pond.

Dear Parents,

The summer is almost over and the start of a new school year is very near. When the sounds of band and football practices fill the air, everyone begins to feel the excitement associated with a new start.

Families are busy preparing for the start of the year by purchasing new clothes and school supplies. Along these lines, a special thanks go to the Fort Mill Times, the Fort Mill Care Center, and Fort Mill School District for once again organizing the “Back to School” supplies drive. Because of this effort, all students will hopefully feel ready to learn as we start the 2010- 2011 school term.

Last year, Fort Mill School District was the only district in the state to receive an “Excellent” rating on the state report card. Read the rest….

ANNUAL FM District #4 Middle School Athletics Open

All of you are aware by now that Fort Mill School District has had major budget cuts. In order to keep middle school sports in our district, the booster clubs have teamed up to raise the funds needed to cover the budget short falls Including Gold Hill Middle School in Tega Cay.

One of our key fundraising events is a District Golf Tournament. This tournament is being held at Tega Cay Golf Club on Friday, Sept. 17, tee-off at 10:00. We are looking at a full field of 124 players (31 teams), so this is a great opportunity for your businesses to get exposure. In addition, there is a friendly competition between schools to host the trophy of the winning team.

Whether you are a small business owner, or just a parent with back to school expenses, I understand that many resources are limited. Please consider helping our student athletes in one of the following ways:

1. Participate in the tournament as a player ($100/player) – space is limited to the first 31 teams

2. Sponsor a Hole ($100)

3. Provide Raffle Prize Items

4. Donate 124 items to be included in our gift bag for the players (tees, balls, golf towel, snacks, etc.)

5. Donate drinks for the golfers (water, soft drinks, sports drinks)

We are also looking for a lunch sponsor. Our hope is to have a company provide a box lunch for the players.

I have attached a copy of our registration form and a sponsor form. Please forward this email and these forms to anyone that might be interested in supporting our athletic programs.
