Directions. Trace or draw an Easter shape using crayon onto sandpaper. Color the shape in. Place a white piece of paper over the crayon drawing and press a hot iron onto the paper. Try not to move the iron around, it will cause the crayon to smear. Remove the iron and you will have your print!

We love making these styrofoam, glitter eggs - we make them every year!

Cover Styrofoam eggs with glue and then sprinkle with glitter. Seal with a coat of Mod-Podge or hairspray.

Glitter Cookie Cutter Stamped Bunny

Directions: Press an Easter themed cookie cutter into white paint. Press the cookie cutter all over the bunny shaped cut-out. Then sprinkle glitter over the wet, white paint. Let dry. Glue on a pom-pom for the tail.

Sock Bunny

Dirctions: Use a colorful sock (I just happened to have some pink socks that were missing their partners!) Fill the sock with dried beans or rice, filling it up just past the heel. Close the sock with a tightly looped rubber band. Tie a ribbon around the sock just below the heel, to create the head and neck. Use scissors to cut the sock's cuff into two ears, rounding the edges tot give the ears the right shape. Cut a nose and teeth from felt. Attach the nose and teeth with craft glue. I used googly eyes for eyes, but you can use felt. Attach a pom-pom or cotton ball tail with glue.

Fall Dot Tree

Draw or paint a tree trunk with branches. Trace a circle very lightly - this will be the boundary for your fall leaves! With a Q-tip, make fall leaves by dipping the Q-tip into red, orange, yellow and brown paint.

Leaf Handprint

Paint a hand a fall color. Press it onto white paper. Let dry. Then draw on the stem and veins with brown marker.

Paper Plate and Tissue Paper Leaf

Cut a paper plate into a leaf shape. Cut a stem and vein out of brown construction paper. Glue squares of tissue paper in fall colors, onto the paper plate leaf. Glue on the vein and stem.

Salt Dough Fall Shapes

Make a batch of Salt Dough. Here is the recipe.

Directions: Mix up the salt dough - 3 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, 1 1/4 cups of water (plus up to an additional 1/4 cup as needed). Use an electric mixer on medium speed to beat the ingredients together until a ball forms. If the mixture is still crumbly, add more water. Knead the dough until it's smooth. Divide the dough into three balls. Roll out the dough and press with cookie cutters or make into your own shapes. Heat the oven to 225 degrees. Transfer the dough onto a baking sheet. Bake the plaques for 2 hours, then let them cool completely. I made a half batch and it made a lot. The picture only shows a sampling of what we made. Once the shapes were cool, we painted them. We added gold glitter to the paint for an extra sparkle!

Beaded Indian Corn

My two older children have made this project before. We did it again, because they turn out so cute and it is great for fine motor skills.

Directions - Cut a chenille stem in half and form and x. Wrap one stem around the center of the x twice, leaving a short length of the stem. Bend the three remaining stems to form an Indian corn shape. String beads on each of the three long stems, alternating colors. Bend the end of each stem to secure. Knot a piece of raffia around the short stem. (You can attach a magnet on the back if you want).

Apple Sun Catcher

Paint a coffee filter with watercolor paints. Let dry. With red construction paper, cut out an apple shape and cut out the middle leaving a border. Then, glue or tape the painted coffee filter to apple.

Paper Strip Apple

Cut 8-10 strips of red construction paper. Punch holes on each end. String green or brown pipe cleaner through the bottom holes of the paper strips. Secure with tape. Then, string the pipe cleaner through the top holes of the paper strips. Spread out the strips as you are stringing. Add a green leaf with hole punched in it. Secure with tape. Curl the pipe cleaner.

Mitten Hand Print

Cut a mitten from colored construction paper. Add a cuff to the mitten using a different paper color. Press painted hand onto the mitten. Write your name on the cuff!

Hat Sun Catchers

Trace a winter hat template onto black construction paper. You will need two hat templates for each child. Cut out the hat along the outside lines and inside lines. Glue squares of tissue paper into the hat. Glue or place the other hat template on top and laminate. I placed the hats onto my open laminating pouch and glued the tissue paper squares on to it that way. Then I closed the laminating pouch and laminated it. You can also use Con-Tact paper - which is already sticky.

With white crayon draw a picture, words . . . onto white card stock. Paint over your crayon drawings with watercolor paint.

Directions: place the mittens in number order. With craft foam snowflakes, place the correct amount of snowflakes on each mitten.

Snowflake Snowman

Cut a snowflake from white paper and a smaller white circle for the head. Glue on the hat and broom and draw on the facial features and arms. Print off a snowman poem.

Soup Can Lid Snowman

Paint 3 soup can lids white. Glue on buttons and nose. Draw on facial features. Hot glue the lids together and hot glue on a looped ribbon for hanging. Tie on ribbon for the scarf.

Coffee Filter Snowman

Glue 3 coffee filters to a piece paper. Glue on arms, black hats and buttons. Draw on facial features.

Cut icicle shapes from light blue and white paper and tin foil. Glue the icicles onto a half sheet of blue construction paper.

Hand Print Ice Cream Cone

Cut a triangle from brown construction paper. Glue the triangle onto a piece of construction paper. Paint 1 hand pink and press on to the top part of the triangle (the cone). Paint white onto the top of the hand print and sprinkle glitter!

Cut and Paste Igloo

With chalk, draw an igloo shape. Glue on square pieces of white paper.

Thumbprint Candy Cane

Press thumbs into red and white paint and press the painted thumbs onto black paper in the shape of a candy cane. When dry add a red bow!

Hand Print Baby Jesus Scene

Paint one hand brown and press onto blue paper. When dry, press cover thumb with tan paint and press onto the brown hand print. Paint one finger with tan paint and press it above the thumbprint to make baby Jesus. Cut out a star and color yellow. Cut raffia into pieces and glue under baby Jesus. Glue the star above the manger scene.

Paper Plate Santa

Cut 1/4 off the top of a paper plate. Color or paint the inside circle tan or flesh color. Cut out a red, circle nose and white mustache. Glue on googly eyes. Cut out a red triangle and long, skinny white rectangle and a white circle. Assemble the hat and glue to the paper plate. Cut out a larger, red triangle, white rectangle, black, rectangle and yellow belt buckle. Assemble the pieces to make Santa's suit.

Bow Tie Pasta Wreath

Dye bow tie pasta green - in a small baggie, add a small amount of vinegar and green food coloring (we added some green glitter). Shake until coated and then dump out on paper towel to dry.

When dry assemble, the pasta into a wreath and glue the pasta into pieces. Add a bow!

Cardboard Tube Poinsettia

Cut a cardboard tube into 5 1/2 inch pieces. Paint red. When dry, cover with glue and glitter. Let dry then glue a white or silver bead to the middle of the poinsettia. Punch a hole and add a green ribbon for hanging.
