Today is another boring Sunday. Doesn't have any place to go because of my dried wallet. Haha.

So I've do a little experimenting with the hot pink shadow from the 120 colors palette. It's a little hard to use without making my eyes look swollen. I had to mix in the purple a little to make it more wearable.

What do you think?? I seriously doesn't know when to use such color but if you have a nice pink theme party like the latest Sasa Blogger High Tea event or as such, perhaps you can try using hot pink??? :D

I'm lazy... :(

I don't feel like typing and also explaining again about my lack-of-update for this blog. I'm sorry. I think I'll now occasionally post some picture of my make up.

I'll start with my eye make up today. Nothing special. I've thought of doing a step-by-step but my camera doesn't seems to cooperate with me. This is the only decent photo that is not blur.

You can see that my eye is started to red due to the repeat staring on my camera.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!! I'm soooo loving Christmas season. Everything just so joyous and cheerful. Here today I'm gonna intro my little must-have lippie. Well, it's of course the iNuovi MegaLips VelvetShine!!!! This time its the shade call Barely French. After reading my post about my HG red lippie in Latin Lover, you should know by how much I love iNuovi Velvetshine. So here we go~

Ahem, wait! Since the packaging and user-friendliness are both the same for Barely French & Latin Lover, I'll just show you some swatches. If you happen to have missed (I'd like to think that you've missed the post rather than you doesn't wanna read it. :p) the post for Latin Lover. Read it now. I mean NOW NOW NOW!!!

Alright, here's the swatches. It is nude like shade with some coral tone in it. The shine is amazing! The glitter, the shimmer, the the the.... glossiness! Imma faint looking at the shine. :D

Smokey Plum Eye "Tutorial"

Hi. I've been ask by a friend for the use of plum/pink type of eyeshadow. She tried to create smokey eye but all she get is red-eye-kinda look. So after I tried and experiment with my plum shadow, here's what I get. I'm not sure if this is the right look but at least my eyes doesn't look swollen with the pinky type of plum color.

Here's the easy step-by-steps from me.

Step 1 : Eye base!!! Smokey eye need some real good eye primer cause you doesn't want the black/dark color to crease after half hour. (Sorry forgot take photo of that.)

Step 2 : Use black eyeshadow to line your eyes. Thick on the upper lash line and thin at the bottom lash line. You should get something like this. Try to avoid lining the inner corner of your eyes unless you really have big round eyes.

Step 3 : Take the plum/pink shadow of your choice and layer on top of the black shadow line. Start layering from the outside of the black shadow, then on the black shadow and BLEND!

Step 4 (Optional) : Well, if you want more dramatic eyes, line your eyes again with the black shadow but don't create hard line. Try to smudge it in.

Final : Mascara and brows and you're done! Add fake lashes for some real glam look. I didn't have my glue with me with I'm doing this tutorial, so please bare with my short lashes. :(

Benefit Powder Pop Palette

Look! It's the Benefit Powder Pop! palette. I got this palette some times ago but hadn't the time to post about it. It's about time, I guess. :p

Description :

Powder Pop! by Benefit is a box filled with 5g each of three of its most popular face powders – Hoola, Dallas and Dandelion. For those that can’t make up their mind which one to try, this is the perfect solution.

Packaging : 5 / 10
- It's their signature hard paper box type of packaging. There are 4 small divisions that each consist 1 type of powder & 1 for the brush. Hope I wouldn't wet it or else it'll be ruin. :(

User-friendliness : 6 / 10
- I like it that they include a mini brush in the palette but the box is just too deep. It's hard to get a nice even amount of powder with such small and deep opening. Plus, I wish they can include a mirror too.

Texture : 7 / 10
- All of them are powdery and smooth upon application. It's really fine and doesn't cause any color patch on the face. (Don't blame it if you apply them heavily.)

Dandelion : 8 / 10
- Light and sheer baby pink type of powder. It's not really pigmented. It can be use as face brightener if you swipe them all over your face (lightly!) or layer up for a blush.

Hoola : 7 / 10
- This is more likely to be use for contouring. It is brown which make it easier to create shadow. I use it as eyeshadow too. (Note : Be light handed if you're using this for contouring as this is quite pigmented.)

Dallas : 7 / 10
- Bronzer or Blusher. This sun-kissed bronze powder can really create a after-holiday look on your face. I like to use this for a outdoor activities because I look healthy with this tanned glow on my face. This is pretty pigmented too. So be light-handed when apply.

Brush : 4 / 10
- Small and cute but can be a little too harsh sometimes. It's size makes it hard to apply. Not fluffy enough and again, too small! It's good to keep but use your own brush instead of this cutie little brush.

Overall : 7 / 10
- I bought this for less than RM50. Yes, you hear me right. It's only RM48++. I think this is a pretty good bargain as I'm able to try out all three different powders from Benefit. You can try your luck in Strawberry.Net as sometimes they do have special promotion for this palette.

I'm so loving all my Benefit palette. They are just so cute and so compact. Read my review of Benefit Justine Case & Benefit Valley of the Stars too.

Maybelline Eyestudio Quad - Winter Iris

This is Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in Winter Iris which I got from Maybelline Simply Gorgeous Finale as one of the door gift. I've so far only tried Maybelline Diamond Glow Eyestudio Quad in Copper Brown and I love that palette to max. So how about this? Read on.

Packaging : 6 / 10
- Small, sleek, handy with dual ended brush. No mirror though. Bad. :(

User-friendliness : 7 / 10
- A compact that comes with brushes will always bring conveniences to the user. However, still that I'll prefer if they're to include a mirror. (I don't mean the reflective side of the metal-like casing.) There's a simple diagram that teach the user how to use the palette.

Color : 8 / 10
- They are four shades (shimmery white, light lilac, shimmery deep violet & shimmery dark blue). Out of the four, light lilac is the most crappy shade which doesn't show up nicely unless you layer it 3 to 4 times. Other than that, the white, violet and blue are just simply gorgeous (blue can be better but I'm ok with it). Use the violet and blue to create smokey will definitely make you sexier.

Texture : 7 / 10
- Not as good as the Diamond Glow Quad but still good enough. These are less pigment and more powdery feel. Anyhow, still great.

Lasting-power : 7 / 10
- They are good even without primer. Not bad not bad. If you have oily lids, better prime your lid before head.

Overall : 7 / 10
- This is retail at RM29.90 each in major phamarcy. This is not bad for the quality but I'll prefer buying the Diamond Glow Quad in compare with this.

Rainbow Eye Look Tutorial

Hi all~ Here I present to you my very first video tutorial!!! I've always wanted to make a video tutorial but never did it because of the poor resolution of my webcam (I actually tried recording with my webcam but I couldn't open the video with moviemaker, so I just try it again with my camera.) and the lack of confidence (showing my face in a video? on youtube? ~_~ )

For those who keep asking me for the step-by-step of the Rainbow Eye. So, here it is. Enjoy yourself!

Sleek i-Divine Storm Palette

Did I mention that I've won something for a Halloween contest with my chinese opera look? LOL!!! Jealous? Muahaha... So my prize for that contest is a Sleek i-Divine Storm Palette. (Why do I always get to win sleek palette? Not that I don't like. In fact, I love them but it's just that couldn't it be other things instead? = _ = )

Packaging : 7 / 10
- It's sleek. (Pun intended.) :p
- It's compact and really slim. It can be easily put inside your bag. Though the content will definitely be lesser but we'll never gonna finish all. Are we? Or maybe just me? =D

User-friendliness : 8 / 10
- It has a ~~huge-ass~~ big mirror. I like the mirror and I often use the mirror there even if I'm not using the palette that much.
- Comes with a dual ended smudger. Easy and simple. Nothing to complain about it.

Scent : 9 / 10
- It's almost odourless (or scentless?). If you sniff hard, there are actually some light talcum smell but nothing strong about it. So I'll take this as a good point as I don't like smelly eyeshadow.

Texture : 7 / 10
- Soft, smooth, buttery. Not bad for a drugstore brand. However, they happen to be a little loose. So when you press the shadow harder and you'll be taking too much of the products that you need.

Color : 7 / 10
- This palette's colors are all very nice for everyday use. Be it for work (top row) or for a wild night out (bottom row), this 12-colors palette sure can be a good mate in your handbag.
- It has 3 matte shades in there. Two of them are earth tone (beige and brown) which can be use for face contouring (nose bridge, eye socket, etc.) and a matte black shadow that can be use as eyeliner. Pretty useful.

Pigmentation : 9 / 10
- Excellent! They are super pigmented. The swatches above are without any base.

Lasting-Power : 7 / 10
- Apply without eye base will cause creasing after like 2 hours on my oily lids which is quite alright for me. Color fade a little after like 3 to 4 hours. It's good enough for an outing but if you're using it for a 8-hours work, put on your eye primer.

Price : 10 / 10
- This is very very very very for it's content and performance. It's less than £5.00 each (less than RM30.00 each).

Availability : 2 / 10
- Sad. They're not available in Malaysia. No shipping to Malaysia as well. (I heard they will start international shipping but no idea is Malaysia included.)
- I suppose we can get this through some spree BUT, I still haven't meet one yet. (USA spreers a lot, UK spreer zero.)
*** Sleek MakeUP, if you're reading this please put Malaysia into your shipping list and try to make the postage cheaper. :p

Overall : 8 / 10
- It's overall a pretty good product (albeit the availability). I'll really love to have all of the palettes. They have a new LE palette name Graphite which is a pretty smokey eye palette and also their Sunset palette. Drool~ Haha! I'll put them in my wishlist. *Hint hint*

Just realised that I've missed reviewing this little cutie from my previous winning. It is call No.17 Eye Dazzle in Over the Rainbow, if not mistaken. :p

- The little tube is cute. It is in cube shape instead of the standard cylinder type and it's really small. It has a little shifter there so you wouldn't end up with spilling pigments allover.

User-friendliness : 6 / 10
- The using method is simple and easy. Since there is a shifter, it wouldn't be any trouble using it.

Color / Pigmentation : 4 / 10
- I'm a little disappointed with this product. It is very shimmery but the pink doesn't show up nice on the lid. The pink color is really really sheer. As in the photo, this can hardly be use without a primer. No likey.

Lasting Power : 5 / 10
- It does stay on pretty good with primer on. I've never try it without primer because it doesn't show up the color / even shimmer without a base.

Overall : 3 / 10
- This is a cute product to keep and play with once in a while. It can be top as the shimmer coat but if you're planning to use it alone, no way.

Since I can't get this here, I wouldn't say much about this product. Do you have this too? Same color or different shade? You like it? Hate it? Tell me.

- I am actually liking the packaging. Though it's not something extraordinary but because of the texture showing through the glass tube, I'm loving it! The middle portion is a highly reflective metal-like thingy that capture finger prints madly. I'll have to wipe it off everytime I used the lippie.

User-friendliness : 8 / 10
- This is easy. The velvet lip part comes with a brush tip which is very good in applying the lip color while the gloss part comes with a doe wand tip that ease gloss application. You can use the velvetlip first then top it with the gloss or opt for the velvetlip / gloss alone.

Color : 10 / 10
- Velvetlip is a sexy red with metallic-like particle reflecting pink shine and the gloss is a trans red gloss with shimmer in it. Couldn't love it more.

Scent : 9 / 10
- This smells of Chocolate/Vanilla. Yummy-licious! I don't mind scented lip products. In fact, I love this scents a lot!!! But it's tasteless though. :p

Texture : 9 / 10
- Very smooth and non drying. The velvetlip are metallic and frozy while the gloss is really hi-shine. With both quality and versatility make this lip-duo a must have in my make up bag.

Lasting Power : 9 / 10
- This is amazing. Like I said before, long lasting lipstick is often drying. To my surprise, this non-drying velvetlip is staying on my lips like some super glue but felt satin-like. However, the gloss lasting power is not that impressive. I wouldn't complain though. Re-applying the gloss is really yummy and I'm actually enjoying it. Ha!

ELF Shimmery Facial Whip - Pink Lemonade

I was ask by a friend of mine for the solution to makes her tan skin looks healthier and glower. The thing is that she doesn't apply make ups. Most of the shimmery face cream will makes our face looks slightly oilier if we doesn't use any face powder to set it on. I wouldn't recommend any shimmery powder for a whole face application especially you like outdoor activities. I'm sure you doesn't want your face to shimmer like a disco ball under the sun, right? So I've suggested her to try the ELF Shimmering Facial Whip.

I have mine in Pink Lemonade.

Packaging : 6 / 10
- This facial whip is pack in a small squeezy tube with small opening. I'd say this tube is really small. It's only like 3 inches long? However, I wouldn't complain because all you need is just a small amount of it and you'll shine. The small size makes it easy to put into your bag or purse but becareful not to push it too hard. You wouldn't want your bag to be shimmering too.

Color : Highly Shimmer Frozen Pink
- The shimmery turns out to be a little frozen if it doesn't spread nicely but once blend, the glow is nice. However, I do not recommend on direct application. I'll put the method I suggest at the end of the post.

Texture : 8 / 10
- Not oily at all. Just like what the description said, "no greasy after-feel". Very true. It spread smoothly too. Very creamy and very blendable.

Color Pay Off : 3 / 10
- I'll have to put a 3 for this. The color doesn't really show up once blended. All you have is the shimmer left. I was thinking that this could be use as eyeshadow and I was proof wrong. I tried to put this on my lids and let it dry for a minute but it turns out a mess. The creasing is terrible. I tried with and without primer on but still it doesn't works. However, this can be use as eye primer. Since the color is hardly noticeable, using it as a primer is pretty good. A shimmery primer, anyone?

Lasting Power : 9 / 10
- Here I mean the shimmery effect. It last as long as I could remember. Nothing to rant about.

Ingredients : Aqua (Water), Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate, Stearate Acid, Paraffinium Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Glycerin, Carbomer, Tocopheryl Acetate, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Methlyparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance (Aroma), Diazolidinyl Urea, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Mica (CI 77019), Red No.33 Lake (CI 17200), Blue No.1 (CI 42090), Yellow No. 5 Lake (CI 19140), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77491), Red No. 40 Lake (CI 16035)

Price : USD 1 from ELF website
- Sad to say that ELF does not ship to Malaysia. If anyone is interested in getting this, can look for spreer in some online forum like LowYat.Net.

Remark : This facial whip contains alcohol. For those who's sensitive of alcohol products may need to take notes on this.

Like I said, I don't recommend for direct application because it will leave too much shimmer of your face. What I suggest here is to put a pearl size amount on your balm and rub both your hands together. After that, gently wipe your hands on your face like what you do with your moisturizer. This will ensure that your face will be cover is a balance shimmer without overdoing it.

If you wanted to highlight a certain features, e.g. cheek bones or below brow bones, put a dot size amount of the product on your finger and rub 2 fingers together to blend the color first. After blending, wipe or dab your fingers on the destined areas.

- Standard pencil type with a clear lid. Convenience and simple.

User-friendliness : 6 / 10
- This is pretty easy for application as the pencil is not too thick. Thick pencil will be hard for user to draw a fine thin line. However, I'll appreciate if they come with smudger at the back too.

Texture : 9 / 10
- SMOOTH! The pencil glide on the lids smoothly and doesn't hurt my sensitive lids at all. The color come off easily from the pencil and stick nicely on my lids just 1 swipe. (Note : I put on primer before using this pencil cause my lids are oily all the time.)

Color Pay Off : 9 / 10
- Very pigmented. Even after smudge, the color is still very obvious.

Lasting Power : 7 / 10
- This pencil tends to smudge a little after some times but the color is quite lasting for sure. If you're to smudge it for a shadow, it will definitely crease on your lids. Better be prep with primer before applying.

Overall : 7 / 10
- This is quite a nice product. It has 10 colors available and what's more, it's cheap! I planned to get more colors as Watsons are currently running some promo that purchase any SilkyGirl products above RM20 and get this pencil in less than RM10. (Can't remember well, will check again!)

New Method, New System, New Style

Lol. Hi hi! The title sounds serious but I do mean it. Since I'm not good in writing and I can't really write these days (perhaps am lazy). It is now either I close this blog or figure out a new way to continue. I don't like the first option. I've met so many friends, some really good friends through SFB and I hate the feeling of leaving all this behind. Plus, I've received so many cheerings from my fellow friends after the previous blog. It makes me harder to leave them all. So I'll have to get a new method to survive. :p

As a result, I'll cut my words off. Not all but make it short and simple. I'll let the photos do the talking. I've notice quite an amount of readers don't really read through every words and in fact, everyone likes to see photos. Am I right? However, I really don't like writing essay. So I'll replace the essay part into elaborated point form with rating as well.

I'm really sorry for the lack of posts lately. I'm in a lot of decisions making now and couldn't bring myself for the solution I needed.

I am thinking of looking for a part-time job in a beauty counter. Just any cosmetics counter or boutique?! I don't know but I need some fresh air. Suffocating. :(

Plus, I feels like I'm losing passion on make up. I still like them but.... sigh.... maybe it's just that my mind got too many distraction and I'm losing focus.

I'll talk about this later once I've got my mind settle. If you have any motivation or suggestion, sound it!

Halloween Attempt : Chinese Opera Failed!

After reading so so so so many tutorial about halloween make up, I was to tempted to make one for myself too (though the Cleopatra look can be one of the halloween look too!). So today I come up with the idea of Chinese Opera because it's rare I reckon. LoL! Thus the look below.

However, the attempt failed. It is a lot harder than I thought. All the hard line of contouring and the white face. I DO NOT HAVE ANY WHITE FACE PAINT!!! I only use my white shadow / highlighter and I mean lots of them.

This look is anyhow reminds me of zebra. LMAO. Why zebra, I had no idea.

So what do you think of this Chinese Opera look? Good enough? What else I missed? =_="
