Amazing Lunar Eclipse on 15 June 2011

The Full Lunar Eclipse that will take place on 15 June, 2011 is perhaps the most important astrological event in the whole 2010-2012 period after the 12-21-2010 Lunar Eclipse that I wrote about here. To me, this rare perfect full moon eclipse represents a continuation of the energies that were set into motion on 21 December of last year. It is more like the peak point of these waves of energies that have been culminating up to this point, which will now start to come downhill, so to speak. The eclipse will be fully visible on the time zone that Turkey is located (which also includes Israel, Egypt, and Finland), which will being at 22:22 hours, and the exact mid-point of the eclipse (when the Sun and the Moon will exactly be aligned on 24th degree of the Sagittarius-Gemini axis ) is around 23:11, or 11:11 p.m.

The Moon will be eclipsed on this day on the 24th degree of Sagittarius, which is a point much closer to the Galactic Center (at 27' Sagittarius) than it was on December 21, 2010, or will be for many years to come. Since this alignment with the Galactic Center is why I think these astrological events are connected to the whole 2012 phenomenon, the Lunar Eclipse of June 15 is arguably the most important astrological event of this whole period.

A full moon by itself is powerful enough, but when it is being eclipsed by the shadow of the Earth, it's significance increases exponentially. A full moon by itself is experienced much more on a personal level. The Moon represents our innermost impulses and emotions, and during a full moon, it becomes very difficult to contain and control these emotions. That's why emotional outbursts substantially increase during full moons resulting in accidents or violence. But a Lunar Eclipse, which happens when the full moon coincides with the Nodal Axis of the Moon, involves all of humanity as a whole. Also, due to the significance of these times and the alignment with the Galactic Center that I wrote about here, this is no loner about repressed emotions and common unconscious impulses like anger or lust, but it is about urges and desires coming from the depths of our souls. So the Lunar Eclipse that is taking place as near the Galactic Center as it will get in a very long time represents the unfolding of soul-level urges for humanity as a whole. In other words, it will be now nearly impossible for each of us as individuals, but also for humanity as a whole, to contain urges and desires coming from the depths of our souls.

In a nutshell, this means that our Soul will want to come out like never before and be what it is without any limitations or constraints. This means, our true Soul Self wants to live and express itself freely and fully as it has never done before. This also means that if you have put too many constraints, limitations and controls on your self, it is likely that these will have to come down at this time. The more you resist, the more difficult and painful this process of release of controls and restraints is likely to become.

There is also a powerful conjunction (merging of energies) between Uranus and Lilith that squares the Sun-Moon axis that is in prefect conjunction with the North-South Nodes of the Moon (hence the eclipse). This means that the changes that will come very fast, suddenly and from places where you least expected. You might find yourself doing things you never thought you'd do, or having urges and desires that you never thought you'd have. Trying to repress or control these will likely backfire to say the least. When Uranus and Lilith are involved like this, it is best to let everything flow in its natural course and time.

All this means that this astrological event is designed to shake us up at our very core to help us release all the controls we have placed on our selves to repress our truest soul desires and urges, so that we can start to live a life that is in greater harmony with our Soul. This is a wonderful thing of course, but it is also likely to bring a lot of change into our lives (unexpected and fast). This may mean changes in relationships, in our financials, our work, our belongings, and even our bodies. Trying to hold on to old ways, structures, habits, patterns will not only be very difficult at this time, but will likely bring unnecessary pain and frustration.

This is a great time to practice and learn to live in full trust. Trust that whatever is happening up there in the great universe, it is all designed to fully serve us in the best way possible.

What happens after 2012 - Beginning of the New Earth

It may seem as if I've wandered away from astrology but I haven't. I look at daily charts and everyday I see another meaningful pattern or alignment, but if I tried to write about each, I'd be typing away here everyday. And basically I'd be saying the same thing over and over. Because the patterns forming in the skies these days are all just continuation of the 21 December 2010 event that I wrote about here. Or so they seem to me. It is like the planets are rearranging themselves everyday to highlight yet another aspect of great transformation that we are going through. So rather than writing about the specific components of this transformation, I prefer writing on what this great change is all about, and where it is taking us. There is so much to be said on this that I don't want to get lost in the astrological details of daily transitions, because these details only make sense as part of the larger picture.

So what is the larger picture? As I wrote in my last post, we are going through a great shift of consciousness when everyday more and more people are starting to awaken. Sometimes it is the death of a loved one. Sometimes it is a catastrophic event or a natural disaster that takes away everything that they valued. Sometimes it is a serious illness, or an accident. Or sometimes it is just something they saw in a film, or read in a book... No matter how it comes, suddenly you find yourself looking at your life and your self as if you are seeing it for the first time. You start to realize you are so much more than what/who you thought you are. You realize you are not just a human in this body. There is a deeper part of you that is so beyond just this human body and this life. A part of you that is somehow connected to whatever is beyond life on earth. Call that part of you your soul if you want. Some call it your spirit-self. Or higher-self. Or divine-self. Or god-self. Or expanded-self. It is all the same. You realize you are a souled being who has an existence far beyond the limitations of the human body and the human life span. You feel as if this part of you was asleep until then, and it just woke up. You just woke up.

This time of awakening is represented by two things in the charts of this period: One is how transiting Pluto passed over the north node of the moon through 2010 (deep transformation of human consciousness), and the other is Uranus (awakening) conjuncting Jupiter (expansion) making a 90' angle to Pluto and the north node. Mind you, all this is happening smack on top of the Galactic Center, and what is called the "Gate of God" as I wrote here. It is this conjunction that is connecting the astrology of this period to the Mayan prediction about 2012.

As many have already written, the Mayan prediction is not about the end of the world, it is the beginning of the Golden Age of humanity. The "apocalypse" that some predicted will happen in 2012, actually means 'revelation' or 'the lifting of the veil'. The same veil that separates the human from their soul. The veil that the energy waves of this period are washing away.

What will emerge from this period of intense and deep (Pluto) but fast (Uranus) transformation is the New Earth.

The New Earth is the home of awakened humans. It is a new life on Earth where awakened humans can live as fully sovereign creator-beings. Such people will emerge (actually they already started to emerge) in politics, finance, science, technology, engineering, religious institutions, schools, and every other part of human life. They will (are already) change(ing) these institutions from inside out. Old systems that are not compatible with the beauty, harmony, wisdom and especially the freedom of the human soul will crumble away to be replaced by new compatible systems that operate to honor and exalt the human soul instead of controlling and coercing it like old systems did. Imagine what this would entail if it really happened in politics. In the economy and the business world. In schools. In the media. In religious institutions. In families. Even if you cannot imagine it, it will happen. It is happening.

Look at how it is already happening all over the world. Old control mechanisms that were based on lies, deception, coercion and secrecy are coming down one by one. Look at what happened with Wikileaks, what is happening all over the Middle East, which will likely spread over to Asian countries including North Korea and China soon. Also look at what's happening in science and technology. New discoveries are being made everyday that will change essential things like medicine, transportation, communication and agriculture. It is very likely that the use of oil as an energy source will be abandoned in the next decade to be replaced by much cleaner, cheaper and efficient new energy sources. Imagine the extent of change just the abandonment of oil itself will bring in the power and economic structures all over the world.

The New Earth will not have formed overnight right after 2012, but it will start to become more and more visible. It's foundations have already been laid. Based on what has been said on this by Kryon, Tobias and other similar sources, this new life called the golden age of humanity will become the dominant life in about two to three decades from now. Looking at the dominant level of consciousness of the world today, this may seem unrealistic to you now, but with the amazing pace and scope of changes going on right now, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened sooner rather than later.

What exactly will happen in 2012 - The Great Shift of Consciousness

I was so inspired by the Eclipse/Solstice of 12 December 2010 that I decided to start my own blog on astrology. When I first saw how planets all came together in a beautiful pattern that day, and how that rare pattern was coinciding with other very rare events themselves, like the alignment with the Galactic Center that is related to the 2012 phenomenon, my jaw had dropped in awe. As I wrote here, I was convinced that this amazing cosmic synchronicity was in fact the real 2012 turning point that the Mayans had predicted.

However, since then I've been looking more into the whole 2012 phenomenon and noticing how there are many others who claim that 2012 already happened. Some claim it happened in 1998 when the center of the Sun passed through the Galactic Center as I also talked about. Some suggest that the astrological component of 2012 happened in 2003 when we had the Harmonic Concordance, which was an astounding astrological event that happened on November 8, 2003. Others (Kryon, Tobias) suggest it happened in September 2007, on a numerologically significant 9-9-9 day, when humanity had a 'Quantum Leap' of consciousness. And of course, there are still many others who claim that it will happen in 21 December 2012.

Even though I am still convinced that 21 December 2010 is the most significant date among all these (since it is the only one when all there components - astrology, numerology and the Galactic Alignment coincide on the same day), after reading all this I realized that the exact date really doesn't matter that much for several reasons.

Let me first underline that this date marks a turning point in the consciousness of humanity. I invite you to take a deep breath at this point and consider what this means. In the next series of posts I'll be writing at length on what this shift means and what it will bring.

First of all, which ever is the 'real' date, nothing is going to happen exactly on that date anyway. Consciousness of humanity means the overall level of awareness, maturity, wisdom, discernment, depth of insight that humanity has reached. If we think of humanity as a person, then, a shift in the consciousness of humanity would be similar to a shift in that person's development such as from childhood to adolescence, or from there into adulthood. When do such shifts happen? Obviously it is not possible to pinpoint exact dates. The shift takes place over a course of time, often several years before the full transformation is complete. Similarly, a shift in the consciousness of humanity will take place over the course of several years, if not decades or even centuries. So if different sources provide different dates that will mark the turning point of the great shift in human consciousness, this is not because some are wrong and others are right, but because these dates mark smaller shifts in energy that are different stepping stones, all vital parts of the same grand transformation.

In any case, looking at recent events that's been happening all over the world (including, and perhaps most importantly, the election of Barack Obama as president, or Wikileaks disclosures that are now bringing down one shady government after another) and taking into astrological, numerological and astronomical indicators, it is clear to me that we are not only in the most intense phase of this transformation, but also very close to its completion. The same indicators also suggest that this year will be really pivotal in clearing the way for what is to come, as I wrote about here.

The exact date doesn't matter also because a shift in consciousness is something that starts in the nonphysical dimensions of our existence. A shift in consciousness involves an expansion of awareness, insight and wisdom - summed up as "awakening" - that cannot be measured in terms of amount, length, speed or duration. What is crucial here is, it is this shift of consciousness that will bring about all the changes in our individual lives, and the life of humanity as a whole. It will result in big breakthroughs in science and technology; radical changes in political and economic systems, social, religious and cultural institutions; or great leaps of creativity in the arts. It will also bring about radical changes in the structure of the earth itself (such as earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, etc).

As profound as all these changes sound, the starting point of it all is the very intimate and personal inner spaces of the individual. Even if the outcome involves all of humanity as a whole, the shift of consciousness happens one individual at a time. So the whole deal with 2012 is not about a specific event or a series of events that will happen on or around that date, but about what happens inside of us individually. And the starting point, pace and intensity of this transformation is different for each person. But there is a point when the number of awakened humans will have reached a critical mass such that after that point, the wisdom, insight and awareness of that level of consciousness will now be available to all of humanity as a whole. This is sometimes referred to as the Hundredth Monkey Effect. This is what the 2012 date really refers to. It is the reaching of that critical point in the number of awakened humans, after which that awakening becomes an attribute of all of humanity as a whole.

Whether this date has actually been reached already, or will be reached in 2012 doesn't really matter because the physical manifestation of this shift as actual events and material changes in our lives will take some time, ranging from months when it comes to personal issues, to years when it comes to grander changes as in governments, economic systems, science and technology.

Finally, even though the shift of consciousness we are currently going through is taking place over the course of several years, it is by far the most significant and fastest one humanity has - and possibly will ever have - experienced. There have been other major shifts in human history as we know it. Leaving aside the Lemurian and the Atlantean times for now, some of the well-known shifts are one that took place around the 6th century BC particularly focused in ancient Greece, the Renaissance period starting in the 14th century in Southern Europe, the Enlightenment period of the 18th century, or the 1940s after World War II. As you might notice, the frequency, speed and duration of these shifts have been increasing geometrically. When these shifts used to take place over the course of a couple of centuries, involving several generations, now it is taking place over the course of a few years, even months.

But more importantly, this time, the shift is happening so fast and involves such depth that it has been rightly called a "quantum leap" where the rate of change and expansion of human consciousness is literally going off the charts. Using the analogy of human development, if the former shifts of consciousness were analogous to different stages of development of a human, passing through childhood into adolescence and then into adulthood, the shift we are undergoing right now corresponds to a kind of shift one might experience in death. Of course, without actually dying. This is why this transformation is also called ascension. So 2012 is really about the ascension of humanity as whole into a new form of existence on earth.

From Now (11:11) Until 2012 - Part III: What is magic and how do we create it?

Yet another magical day... Today's magic is in the numerology of the date. 1-11-11. It is magical because I choose to see in this alignment of numbers the magic of 11:11. There are many people around me who think seeing magic in numbers (or planets for that matter) means I've gone completely nuts. Well, if finding magic in things I see around me means I am crazy, so be it. And even if so, just because I am crazy doesn't mean magic doesn't exist. :)

Actually, I agree that there is nothing magical in numbers or planets themselves. The source of magic - like anything else in our reality - is within ourselves. It is I who places magic in the number 11:11. I do it by choosing to perceive it as magical. If I have the choice to either see magic in what is before me, or to ignore all such things because it is not rational, then by all means, I am choosing the former. For me, there is virtually no difference between choosing to see amazing beauty in a lovely sunset and awesome magic in the alignment of numbers. They are both in the eyes of the beholder. If I can create magic in my life by choosing to perceive it around me, why would I choose a dull reality with no magic and no beauty in it? I choose to have a beautiful reality full of magic.

So in a way, I am actually admitting that magic is an illusion that I project upon things. But isn't everything in our reality illusion? Imagine yourself standing on the beach where there is nothing but sand stretching out across the shore in both directions all evenly spread out, so you don't have any reference that would show you how much you moved, or if you moved at all. Illusion is like drawing a line in the sand. And then using this line to step over on to the other side. So now we know we have moved. If there was no line there, we would not have the experience of being in a different place than we were before. So by drawing a line in the sand, we have created the experience of change and movement. Does the line really exist? Not really because it is, after all, only a temporary change in the way sand is arranged before us. A wave can come any minute to wash it away. Yet that line brought real change into our life. The line is not real, but the experience we had thanks to it is. And all that matters is experience, not what is out there that brings it about.

This is how illusions are the gateways to experience. Depending on the kind of experience I want, I can draw all sorts of lines on the sand. And we are not bound by just drawing lines. The beach is like our sandbox and we are free to do whatever we want in it. We can build sand castles, landscapes or anything else we can imagine. And each creation will allow us the have a different kind of experience. This is how we create our own reality. What can be more magical than using illusionary lines to create whatever we want?

So, just like the recent eclipse, or the year 2012, the 11:11 number is also a line I choose to draw in sand, so that I can experience a movement. The movement is one of consciousness. The magic I choose to see in the recurrence of the number 11 is one that prepares me for an awesome experience that is approaching.

The magic of the number 11 is that it is the last step before the completion of the circle. The last hour before the day ends and a new one begins. The eleventh month, the eleventh sign of the zodiac, the eleventh house in astrology all represent remaining changes that need to occur before the last - twelfth - house is reached and the cycle is completed. This is why the eleventh sign (Aquarius) and the eleventh house in astrology represent, among other things, revolutionary change that bring freedom from restraints and limitations. It is about the clearing of things that keep us stuck in old ways and structures to bring liberation and independence. The recurrence of 11 in our lives (like seeing 11:11 on digital clocks or counters) is often interpreted as a reminder or a wake-up call signaling that the end is coming.

End of what, you might ask. It is the end of duality, represented by the number 2 which is also hidden in the number 11 (1+1=2). It is the time when all the necessary changes will take place before we can transcend duality and reach a state of completeness within our self. That is why 11 is seen as the number of awakening and ascension. It is a reminder that prepares us toward the final hour of completion: being One with our higher self, our spirit, our divine essence.

The magic of the number 11 also ties in with the 2012 phenomenon. This whole year carries the energy of 11, which means that this year will be full of revolutionary change and unexpected events that clear away all barriers to prepare each one of us who choose to go beyond the magical line in the sand for what is coming up ahead in 2012. We will see a lot of 11's this year, since it will be on every calendar at least once every day. One very special day is coming up in 11.11.11, exactly 11 months from today when there will be another special alignment (Grand Trine-Kite) and a full moon. Overall, this 11-year will be like the line drawn in sand so that we can step over into the 12-year of completion of the old times and the beginning of the new. As ancient Hindus and Mayans saw, the new that is to begin in 2012 is the Golden Age of humanity. It is the beginning of a New Earth that will be inhabited by awakened human beings who will be creating Heaven on Earth. It can't get more magical than that.

Combining the energy of the number 11 with the energies set off by the Dec 21 and January 4 eclipses is like drawing several lines in the sand on top of each other that all join their magical powers to form a very special kind of a line that is more like an interdimensional gateway. In this case moving to the other side of the line would correspond to moving (or rather, expanding our awareness) to the other side of the veil. As I talked about here, the waves of energies launched by the eclipses are all designed to wash away the veil that separates and hides our divine essence, our god-self from our human awareness. When we add to that the magic of the number 11 that marks this year with the energy of fast revolutionary change toward spiritual freedom and independence, we get a year full of fast change and transformation that will clear away old structures, restraints and limitations to open the way to the Golden Age of Humanity on Earth.

And so it is.

From now until 2012 - Part II: It is all about perception

Today is another magical day. There is a partial eclipse of the sun. I am writing these words as the new moon is gliding between the Earth and the Sun. The Sun will soon be partly shadowed by the Moon. Again, the Moon, Earth, and the Sun are aligning with the Galactic Center. Again, a magical alignment magnified by the power of Pluto and the fierceness of Mars nearby. This is the continuation, or the counterpart of the 12-21-2010 alignment that I had talked about here. In my quirky way of thinking, I'd say that the arrow of the crossbow that was so elegantly drawn to its maximum ready to be shot into the future on December 21 has just been launched today. The future has begun.

I don't know if it is the awesome alignments of these days, the numerology of the 11 year, or something else but I have a wonderful feeling that this year is going to be truly amazing. I used to be wary of such feelings because I'd want to spare myself the pain of disillusionment in case my 'good feelings' did not come true. So I'd just ignore them. What a shame... Now I know better. Now I know that it is up to me to choose what awaits down the road. Whatever I choose to perceive, that is what will happen. So now I am not holding back. I am choosing to see so very clearly and feel from the core of me that this is going to be a most amazing year full of the wonder and magic of awesome creation....

On the same note, let me underline that neither planets nor numbers actually "cause" anything. There is nothing special or magical in any number or planet that can change anything in our lives. All the magic and the special energies that appear to be coming from numbers or the planets are actually coming from us. Beauty (and everything else) is really in the eye of the beholder.

This means, whatever happens in our lives is coming not from anything outside of us but from how we choose to perceive things. Whether it is the planets, numbers or anything else that we like to pay attention to (even mundane things like the news), we always shape our own reality by making two crucial choices: One, what we choose to devote our attention to; and two, how we choose to perceive that thing...

If you haven't thought about what this really means until now, then please stop for a second and think about it now. I am emphasizing because, for me, this has been the most important, most profound, most life-changing realization ever in all of my existence. It means, I am the creator of everything I have ever experienced, everything in my reality now, and everything that I will experience in my future. It means I am the Creator. I am the God of my own life.

I create my reality through my perceptions. Not my thoughts, mind you. I don't believe we create with our thoughts. Thoughts are a function of the mind and are very very limited. But perception is not. Thoughts can be easily manipulated through conditioning, and conditioning is actually the opposite of creation. It is forced and limiting, whereas creation can only happen when allowed to flow with ease and freedom. This is why things like affirmations and positive thinking don't really work. Because they are all about manipulation of thoughts. Perception, on the other hand, cannot really be forced because it is intuitive and intuition comes from the core of our being. It is about what we choose to focus our attention on. The fuel of creation is our intuitive attention.

For all these reasons, I cannot tell you how the astrology of these times will effect you, or what the energies of the planets will bring into your life. What I can tell you is how I am perceiving these energies, what they involve and when they can be felt most intensely. But what you do with them is completely up to you. If you want to know how planets (or anything else for that matter) effect you and what they bring into your life, then pay attention to what you are focusing on in your life, what you are choosing to perceive and how you are perceiving them. What are you diverting your mental and emotional energies on a daily basis? Right now? Yes, right at this moment? It is in these issues and fields that you will feel the effects of the planets most intensely. Not because the planets are causing these. But because you are choosing (whether consciously or not) to use the energies coming from the planets in this way.

All this being said, there is no doubt in my mind that a lot will happen between now and 2012. As I wrote here, the alignment of 12-21-2010 opened a gate through which very powerful and long-lasting energies started to pour into our reality. The alignment was like the 'Finger of God', as it is called, or what I referred to as a crossbow, pointing at the 'Gate of God' that brought light in our darkest hour to remind us humans that we are on our way Home. It is the coming into light, or coming into our awareness of Spirit, our own divine self, our essence which has been hidden in the shadows of our humanness.

The cosmic arrow that was launched today with the solar eclipse sets off the beginning of waves of energy that will continue to flow into our reality throughout this year. There will be powerful bursts of intensity again around June 15 (when we will have another full lunar eclipse) and from November 11 (another beautiful alignment, a full moon and an 11:11:11 day) onwards until the end of the year. These waves of energy are magnified with the presence of powerful Pluto (the planet of radical transformation and regeneration), ignited with the fiery energies of Mars, and electrified by the liberating energies of Uranus. This means that these waves will come in fast (Uranus), with a lot of power and force (Pluto and Mars) that will transform (Pluto) just about anything and everything toward complete freedom (Uranus), grace (Venus) and joy (Jupiter).

Overall, these powerful waves are more like energetic tsunamis that will wash away the veil that has been eclipsing the Spirit within from our human awareness. Remember that the word 'spirit' means nothing else but essence. This veil that has been hiding our own essence from our human sight is made up of illusions and belief systems that we have been using to define our reality and our human existence for a very very long time. This veil is present not only within each one of us, but also in the collective consciousness of humanity. We have been living behind this veil for so long that we forgot all about what was behind it. Many of us chose to pretend that there is nothing there. We have been trying to live our lives disconnected from Spirit for so long that we forgot who we were, where we came from and why we are here on earth as humans. So we tried to compensate for this loss of connection with different make-believe alternatives, like religions, complex belief systems, or through distractions like drama, power games, wars and the like.

The waves of energy that were just launched are designed to wash away all these illusions that separated our human existence from Spirit. Obviously this is much easier said than done. I mean, this is like waking up from a comatose sleep that lasted for hundreds of thousands of years into the reality of our existence behind the veil that we never even knew existed.

These waves are metaphors for change. Since they involve the totality of human life on earth, these waves will involve radical changes in economic and financial systems, in political systems and governments, in technology, in religions and churches, in the physical structure of Earth itself (i.e. earthquakes, volcanoes and climate changes) and in our bodies. It will involve a lot of destruction that is a necessary part of renewal and rebirth, because the washing away of the veil means that all these things that have been sustaining our sense of reality and existence on the dark side of the veil for so long will be dissolving.

So how can we cope with waves of such intensity and power? How can we deal with such intense change and transformation? The best way to deal with them is to ride the waves very much like a skilled surfer would. Say you are in your ship in the middle of an ocean (and you are indeed in the middle of the sea of human consciousness) and powerful waves are coming your way. Obviously, you cannot really avoid the waves or hide from them. Trying to strengthen your ship won't also work, because these waves are much too powerful for that. You can also go on top of the waves but then try to manipulate them or force them to go in a certain direction you want, but if you do that, you will most likely fall off the wave to be tossed around violently, only to end up in the same place that you will land had you chosen to just surrender to the wave in trust and ride it smoothly wherever it takes you, just like a skilled surfer would.

And would you really want to avoid or resist the waves anyway? Yes, there is a part of all of us that wants to hold on to the secure corner of life that we have crafted for ourselves so carefully in this lifetime, but remember that this was only to get us through life as we tried to survive on our own on the dark side of the veil. What is approaching is unimaginably far beyond any kind of security or the limited sense of comfort that we can ever hope to provide for our self in the sleeping-human mode that we have been in for eons.

In short, when these waves of change start to come into your life, I suggest that you invite them in, let go of all control, stay in trust no matter what happens around you and know that all is happening perfectly as they should to serve you in the best way possible. Remember that all this was designed by your higher self, your Spirit so that you can finally come together and become One with yourself. There is no higher love and joy.

From Now Until 2012 - Part I: Astrology as Art

What amazes me with astrology is that every time I look at a chart, I see something different. It is the same planets, the same angles, the same placements, yet each time I look at it, I see yet another layer that I hadn't noticed before. It is very much like looking at a beautiful painting, or reading a beautiful piece of poetry which never seems to get old because each time you look at it, or read it, you experience it in a slightly (or a completely) different way.

This is because astrology, very much like painting or poetry, is art, and not science. As in all other forms of art, in astrology not only beauty but also knowledge is in the eyes of the beholder. So each time I look at a chart I see something different not because something in the chart has actually changed, but because my perspective has changed.

It is very important to understand this about astrology because it means what an astrologer sees in a chart (whether a chart of an event like the 12-21-2010 alignment, or your birth chart), totally depends on the perspective, mind set and even the mood of the astrologer at that moment. Unfortunately very very few astrologers read charts with the responsibility and self-awareness that the craft vitally necessitates. In my view, a responsible way of reading charts is when the astrologer offers the richness of potentials at any given chart and makes sure to convey that no matter how the planets are aligned, they are always there to serve us in the best way possible. In short, astrology is not there to take our power (of creating our own life) away, but to bring us empowerment and freedom.

All this being said, what I see in the chart for 12-21-2010 is an astoundingly powerful, rich and beautiful alignment of energies that have come together to open a path in front of us that leads, if we choose to take it, to complete empowerment and freedom. Since this alignment is so rich with multiple layers of meaning and is long lasting, it will take at least a couple of posts for me to go through all the energies I see there. This one will only be the introduction.

You might be thinking that there is no point in talking about this alignment since it has already happened. This is not the case. Each moment in space is like an energetic stamp that sends out waves of energies as powerful and long lasting as the power of the alignment itself. This is very much like throwing a piece of rock in a pond, which sends out ripples in all directions. The bigger and heavier the rock is and the larger the pond is, the ripples will be that much larger and will last that much longer. In this metaphor, the rock is the specific burst of energy that comes with the alignment, and the pond is the sea of human consciousness. Since this alignment is one of the most powerful alignments I've ever seen (equal to if not more than the 1987 Convergence or the 2003 Concordance as I talked about here) the ripples, or the waves of energy it sent out are very powerful and will last for a very long time.

The longevity of the ripples of any astrological moment depends on the cycles that are involved in that event. There are many cycles in this alignment but 3 of these are the most significant in determining the power and the endurance of its ripples.

One of these is the one-year cycle of the Sun's movement relative to Earth's axis, which produces the solstices. Since one of the most important points in this alignment is the Winter Solstice Sun, the wave of energy brought about by this alignment will be the strongest throughout this year until the next Winter Solstice in 2011.

The second is the cycle of the axis of the Moon's Nodes (formed by the movement of the Moon relative to Earth's orbit), which resulted in the Lunar Eclipse on this day. This axis involves both a two-year (18 months) cycle when the Moon's Nodes will be traveling through the Gemini-Sagittarius axis until late 2012, and also an 18-year cycle when the Node's will be traveling through this exact same point in 2028-29. This means that the energy ripples of this alignment will have the same energetic quality for the next two years, and will continue to be powerful and active for the next 20 years.

The third and the most significant is the 26,000 cycle which is a result of the the movement of the Sun (or rather the ecliptic - the plane of our solar system) around the center of the Galaxy. The start/end point of this cycle is the intersection point of the ecliptic and the plane of our Galaxy, which is a fixed point at about 27 degrees of Sagittarius. This intersection itself happens over a 36 year period, which is that long for the Sun to travel through this point (that started in 1980 and will end in 2016). This point is called "the Gate of God" in Vedic (Hindu) Astrology. Remember (here) that the "Finger of God" in this alignment is pointing at the "Gate of God" at this point. The length of this cycle and its relation to the "Gate of God" that represents the beginning of Creation itself suggests that this is not only about a particular aspect of our lives, but is about the overall evolution of Human Consciousness. It is possible that the last time our Solar system crossed this point 26,000 years ago corresponds to the fall of Atlantis.

This cycle is the most significant part of this alignment because it marks the completion of a 26K cycle and the beginning of a new era in Human Consciousness. This means that the energetic waves of this alignment will last all the way until the end of this new era. But the most significant part of this cycle is its beginning now when the Sun is still aligned with the "Gate of God" and the Galactic Center until 2016.

What happened on 12-21-2010 was an unprecedented moment in the skies when the Sun, the Earth, and the Moon all lined up on the same path which was lit up momentarily by a very special kind of light coming from the "Gate of God." As momentary as it was, this alignment was so special and powerful that the energetic stamp it imprinted on the sea of consciousness will not only last for a very long time, but has already marked the turning point in the evolution of human consciousness. This means that the waves of energy that this burst of energy started will leave no part of life on Earth untouched, and these waves will be felt most intensely in the next four years, possibly reaching a peak at the end of 2012.

What is 2012 (2010) about? -- Returning Home

Now that I'm convinced the start-off for the famous 2012 date is actually 21 December 2010 (look here), I want to explore what this astrological alignment is all about.

First of all, there is no doubt anymore that this date is very significant both astrologically and astronomically. Even NASA issued a report about how rare it is to have a lunar eclipse on the same day of solstice. What NASA does not take into account is that the Winter Solstice Sun that is coinciding with the eclipse is also coinciding with the Galactic Center (the point on the ecliptic as viewed from Earth that faces the center of our Galaxy) on this day. This is something that happens once every 26,000 years and is the basis of the Mayan prediction that underlies the significance of 2012. So what is already a very rare event that happens once in about 500 years as reported by NASA, is coinciding with a much rarer event that apparently has a deeper and more profound significance relating to the nature of human existence on earth and the evolution of human consciousness, which goes through a 26,000 year cycle.

What makes today so special is not only the rareness of the event, but also the astrological/esoteric/spiritual (or poetic, as I prefer to call it) meaning of this incredible alignment.

As I talked about here, the pattern formed by the planets looks most like a crossbow pointing at the position of the sun that is coinciding with the Galactic Center. This pattern does not have an official name in astrological jargon, but it is most similar to a "yod" which also involves the alignment of planets as if they are all pointing at one direction. That is why, the Yod pattern is also called the "Finger of God" since it appears to be a celestial sign-post designed to be pointing at a precise direction. Needless to say, whether a crossbow, or a Yod pattern, the point at which all the planets are pointing is very significant. In the chart of 21 December 2010, the celestial Finger of God is pointing at the position of the sun standing right on the Galactic Center.

If God and the stars are going so out of their way to point at the Galactic Center, then I feel I must explore the poetic meaning of what this center is all about.

The Galactic Center is where it all started. "It" being, the point of origin of the universe as we know it. The original point of the Big Bang, the beginning of Creation, the gateway to and from Heaven, the Kingdom of God, the absolute Oneness, the point at which we separated from the Oneness to become individual beings, the Great Womb from which we were born, the Divine Home from where we came, or whatever else you would like to call it. So at first sight, God's Finger appears to be pointing us in the direction of Home.

The divine irony of the situation is that at this point where the Galactic Center resides, there is now a humongous black hole. I say divine irony, because I see this as God's way of telling us that Home is not where we think it is any more while at the same time we are directed toward it. So I take a closer look. When I do, I see that God's Finger is not only pointing at the Galactic Center, but also at the Sun that is coinciding with the Galactic Center. In astrology, the Sun represents the Self. Its symbol is a circled dot, the circumpunct. The circle represents the human body as the shell which circumscribes so as to protect, but also hide, the dot within. The dot that is so carefully shielded by the body represents the divinity within, the center of our own individual existence, the point of our own unique divine origin.

So when the Finger of God is pointing at the Sun that is coinciding with the Galactic Center, I understand this as God's poetic way of telling us that the Home we seek can now be found within... Home is not out there where we came from, but it is in here, inside each one us. So going back Home, back to our heavenly origin of Creation really means coming to the realization that the Creator is our Self. It is that divine point of creation hidden in the center of our being. The Galactic Center of Creation is now coinciding with the Divine Center of the Human. It is the realization that You are God also.

When we add to this alignment that is already incredible on its own the Winter Solstice and the Eclipse, that is when it becomes out-of-this-world magical that makes astronomical rareness a mundane quality.

To me, the Winter Solstice symbolizes the beginning of light at the darkest hour of human existence. It is a celestial reminder that the Sun's light will always find you even when you feel you are the farthest from it.

The Lunar Eclipse, on the other hand, is when the shadow of the Earth (our human body) hides the Moon (our human soul) from sight (awareness). It is a beautiful reminder that invites us to become aware of the existence of our soul that is eclipsed behind the material reality of our human existence.

When these events, each awesome in their own right, all come together on this magical day of 21 December 2010, it is like the opening of an amazing celestial gate in front of us that will take us Home to ourself where we will meet and become One with our own divine self. It is the bringing into light the God within, which has been hidden away from our human awareness.

2012 is happening now! (on 21 December 2010)

My interest in 2012 has been as much as the next person. Curious but wouldn't bet anything on it. And all the brouhaha about Planet X or Marduk, or a polar shift that brings catastrophe and destruction all over the world just sounded - and still sounds - to me like a huge pile of drama that someone made up out of boredom to get a kick out of some conspiracy or another... Still, wanting to give this date the benefit of the doubt, I checked the charts for 2012 but couldn't see anything special. So I let it go, thinking whatever will happen will happen, resting assured that it will eventually serve us in wonderful ways, as it always does.

Then I saw the chart for 21 December 2010 with a full lunar eclipse on the day of the Winter Solstice. This event that I wrote about here was so awesome that it inspired me to start a blog about all the wonder I see in the skies. What amazed me was this Solstice/Eclipse was happening exactly on the day of the famous 21-12-2012, but two years ahead of time.

Could they be mistaken about 2012? The more I study the charts for both solstices on 2010 and 2012, and the more I look into the whole 2012 thing, the more I am convinced that what was expected to happen on December 2012 is actually happening now in 21 December 2010.

I mean, even numerologically, 12-21-2010 is a better fit than 12-21-2012... It is the one in 2010 that is made up of three 12s, which sums up to 9 - representing completion. This works for 2012 only if the year is abbreviated to the last two digits.

And then when you look at the charts, it becomes pretty clear that the significant date is the one in 2010 and not in 2012. In 2012 there is nothing special about the stars. Zilch. Nada. Even when you try to stretch the angles between the planets to their meaningful maximums, there is still nothing. But on 21 December of 2010, there is close to everything astrologically significant all coinciding. A full lunar eclipse on the day of the Winter Solstice, a very meaningful alignment where all astrologically significant planets and points are involved, and the unique pattern formed by this alignment pointing at the Galactic Center at 27' Sagittarius.

But, I thought, there had to be something that justified the fame of the 2012 date, so I dug deep into the internet to find an explanation for the significance of 12-21-2012. That's when I learned that apart from being marked as the ending of time on the Mayan calendar, the only other thing is that the Ecliptic (the plane of our solar system) will be crossing over the Galactic Equator (more on this here) which also happens to coincide with the Galactic Center. This means that our solar system is completing a 26,000 year cycle as it crosses over the plane of our galaxy. However, this crossing involves a 36 year time period which started in 1980, with its exact center having already happened in 1998.

So from what I can tell, nothing astronomically or celestially significant is happening on 12-21-2012.

Now I am fully convinced what was expected to happen on 21 Dec 2012 is actually going to happen now, today on 21 December 2010.

OK let's say it is happening today. So? What does all this mean?

When I look at the map of the sky of today, what I see is a beautiful alignment of all the planets that gathered together to point at, what, to me, is one of the most magical spots in the skies - the center of our Galaxy, which is where it all started. I mean, the point of origin, the beginning point of all creation. To me, this is the place where we left Home and stepped into our existence as individual beings separated from All That Is. The absolute Oneness. Call it God if you will. I like to call it Home.

If all the planets have gathered today to point at our point of origin, I take this amazing astrological alignment as the beginning of an amazing time of change and transformation that will take us Home. Or rather, that will bring Home here to us as we continue to live our human lives in our human bodies. It is the beginning of a time of awesome discovery that the Home we've been seeking to go back to since the beginning of our separate existence as individual beings is within each one of us... The awesome realization that we are now on our way to merge with the God within, our own divine self descending to come and be One with us in this human body. The 12-21-2010 astrological alignment

On December 21 there is a very powerful configuration of the stars. Many different astrological events are coinciding this day. There is a full lunar eclipse. It is also the winter equinox. Furthermore, numerologically this day has a similar significance to that of the famous 12-21-12 date, since this one is a 12-21-21 day. This simultaneity is itself important, but what is more significant is how all the planets, astrological points (the moon's nodes and Lilith) and even some of the fixed stars (Beeltegeuse, Polaris) are collectively involved in forming a very rare pattern. The pattern I see is not one of the standard astrological patterns like the grand trine, or the grand cross, but it is what I call a "crossbow" pattern, because the way the stars appear to be aligned look very much like a double crossbow. This is a pattern I made up, but I think it is as astrologically meaningful as the other recognized patterns, if not more. To me, such a crossbow pattern means all the energies of the involved planets converge on the arrowtip of the crossbow, as if to launch it off in the direction that the crossbow is pointing at.

I find this configuration to be very rare, very powerful and highly significant for a couple of reasons. First, none of the main planets and points are left out. Planets form interesting patterns up there all the time. But it is very rare that these patterns involve all the main planets. Even in the famous Harmonic Convergence of 1987 (Grand Trine), or the Concordance of 2003 (Grand Sextile) some of the major planets did not take part in the making of these grand patterns. But in the "grand crossbow" of December 21, no planet is left out. This in itself makes this configuration very powerful, since it means the energies of all the astrologically significant planets are coming together.

Second, because of what a crossbow represents, the energies of this pattern is very focused. And the focus is right at the strongest point of the chart where the energies of all the planets converge. This would be the tip of the crossbow.

Third, the fact that this convergence of energies is happening not only on the equinox boosted by an eclipse but also on the south-north karmic node axis all suggest that this astrological event is highly significant existentially and spiritually involving the future of humanity in general. To me, this means that this event involves the transformation of the very core of human existence on earth. Well, perhaps all astrological events involve this one way or another. But this one is unique in being totally focused right at the heart of the matter.

Last, but not least, is that the focal point of the crossbow pattern coincides with the Galactic Center at 27 degrees Sagittarius. The Galactic Center represents the point of origin of our universe, or the center of Creation. It is also the point which gives the significance of the famous winter solstice day on 21 December 2012 when the ecliptic will be passing from the closest point to the Galactic Center. This means that the astrological event that will take place on 21 December 2010 relates not only to the famous 2012 turning point, but also to the gateway to Home. Of course, as all astrological points, the Galactic Center, and hence the gateway to Home, is not out there, but here inside within us. Since this is a highly significant topic in itself, I'll talk about it in more detail later.

At this focal point represented by the tip of the crossbow is a powerful conjunction of the Sun (representing the Self), Pluto, Mars and Mercury all converged right on the north node (representing the future). On the 90' left of this powerful conjunction is another gathering of Uranus, Jupiter and Lilith, and a Chiron-Neptune conjuntion on its 60' left. On the right is Saturn (90') and Venus(60'). These would be the two corners of the crossbow from which the the arrow will be drawing its power to launch forward with grace (Venus), determination and confidence (Saturn), magnified by the energy of abundance (Jupiter), freedom (Uranus) and imaginative creativity (Lilith and Neptune).

What this all means to me is that all the planets are bringing together their energies to blast the Sun (the Self) into the future. Since this chart will be the same (even if for a moment) all over the world right at the time of the eclipse, the Sun not only represents us as an individual, but all of humanity as a whole. So we will feel this burst of energy and its effects not only personally in our lives, but also all around the world in general.

Most astrologers will tell you how you'll personally experience this amazing burst of energy in your life, its intensity, in what issue or area it will manifest will depend on your own natal chart. They will likely tell you how you can be prepared, or even brace yourself to get through this intense transition of the planets. But this is old-school way of seeing things.

In my understanding, how you will experience this energy is totally up to you. If you choose to buy into frightening scenarios of fear and conspiracy, you will experience this energy exactly like that. If you choose to just ignore the whole thing and let it pass, then these energies will most likely ignore you and pass you by. Alternatively, if you choose to use this energetic crossbow to shoot yourself in to the future of your choice, then, that's what will happen. Because of the energies and the unique configuration of the planets involved in this event, this will happen very fast, sharp and clean. Pretty much like the precision ans swiftness of an arrow shot by a master archer. (You may say, you are not a master archer, but you will become one the second you choose to pick up this energetic crossbow). Personally, I will be choosing the last option. I'll use this amazing stellar launching pad to launch myself into my Home.
