Ah. Not (actively) trying to follow the ancestor. Just thought it - those lines - were pretty neat and poignant.
Spelling mistakes: will rectify.

I thought வியக்கம்? meant doubt/surprise. No?
Maybe வியப்பு then.

At any rate, the reason so many of us are not taking to the streets is because we are glued to the computer screen, editing our own [insert appropriate adjective given a severe lack of garages and/or basements - penthouse sounds too snooty and a little smutty] masterpieces in pirated copies of final cut or premiere pro.
Ironically enough, the rowdy culture prevalent in our country deserves a draconian policing system. We cannot uphold that freedom of speech and at the same time allow rowdies and hooligans to hold to ransom our values.

Sometimes I think the middle class are caught between the devil and the deep sea. No wonder so many middle class youngsters have abandoned the nation and gone overseas, even willing to sacrifice Indian citizenship in order to pursue their dreams.

If this situation continues, the middle class will die out. Excessive taxation, burden of rising prices and inflation, rank corruption, goondaism, rowdyism, the tyranny of the wealthy and powerful will ensure that.
