I've been reading the book The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy, the former publisher of Success magazine. It makes me pause and think and realize what I've been missing in anything I've wanted to succeed at.

I have the motivation, but I'm missing a key factor and now I'm working on it. Consistency. It's not a race to win. He brings up the hare and tortoise fable. Slow and steady wins the race. And that is true in any part of your life. Whether it be your writing, relationships and your career. You need to be consistent. Follow a routine and keep working at it and do your very best work in all things you do.

There are no get rich formulas in life, just hard work. And your dreams and goals take hard work. You will not be an overnight success. You have to work at it and that doesn't stop when you start making money. You can lose it all as fast as you make it.

Take a look at the book. I was never a big motivational self help reader. But some of the books I have read over the last month has helped me grow and given me insight on my writing career, my life and my goals.

I know if I follow the advice written by the ones who have succeeded before me and learn from their examples I will become the best me I can be everyday getting a little better. Get the book here.

So I'm on my way into work today listening to a podcast on marketing. Which I have been doing a lot lately. He said something that really resonated with me "running a business is not about profit but it's about what you can do to help your customer or client out." So what does that mean? And why is it running a business about profit?

Well, here is the thing, if you're serving your client in meeting their needs are fixing a problem for them you will have repeat customers. So as an author, what problem am I trying to fix? Boredom! So how can I entertain you? Well I can entertain you by a writing it a good book. But then how do you find out about it? Marketing! So many authors promote via Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, and blogs. But what if you don't have big your target audience on those social media sites or blogs, What do you do then?

Well I've come across a great marketing tool to find your dream reader, don't really want to get into it right now about who they are, Because I have a test or not yet but it looks very promising because you can target the market that you're looking for. I do have a link on this site for them. And so far what I have found I love. But I will do some market testing on them and I will let you know my results.

I won't be spamming the Facebook feed I will target my preferred readers. And then after a month I will give you my results. But if you're interested in trying it out yourself look to your right and there is a link to click funnels.com.

Check it out you might be surprised. It also works for our network marketing, online sales of any kind, Service market. Basically anything you want to sell online it will help with. It will even help with companies that are brick-and-mortar. It's actually a very amazing community full of positive outlook's and it's the wave of the future in marketing.

Remodeling

So in the next few days you will see a remodel of this page. I will be enhancing the looks and adding things to help all my author and blogger friends out.

I'm going to continue on my journey and share it every step of the way.

I'm going to stop letting fear get in my way and enjoy the journey. There is nothing that could go so wrong that I can't come back from it. I've learned that in the last five months. I've been on the bottom and I'm ready to start head up.

I'm so excited for this next phase in my life. Its actually really hard to contain it. I'm going to prosper and I plan on taking you all with me.

My path is a positive one even with all the negative going on in this world that surrounds me. I have so many opportunities and I will succeed in them. So welcome aboard my roller coaster. Enjoy the ride.

Little life secret

As Nike says "Just do it". That's the best life secret I can give you. You have too. Not in all things but in anything you dream of you need to just do it. Think about it all you want but that won't get you anywhere. Action is what gets you to where when you want to go.

Procrastination kills dreams but so does the fear of failing. Think about it this way, what is the most you will lose. Invest in your future. Seriously, failing is not the worst thing you can do. Not succeeding is. I was listening to a webinar the other day and he gave a great example of whether something is a failure or not. Thomas Edison had over 1000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When asked how it felt to fail 1000 times he responded with "I didn't fail 1000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1000 steps."

That's the same thing with writing, new career, new business. You just keep on it until you get it right. It's not failing, it's finding out what works best for you and what your dream is.

There are so many things in life you should give up: eating unhealthy, smoking, drinking, being a couch potatoe, drugs, negativity, but your dreams you should not give up on not ever.

Hey you all. I am happy to be back from the brink. I have been working too hard and not enough play. I have missed you all and I hope you will welcome me back with open arms. I will begin my book reviews soon.

I haven't had a lot of time for book reviews but I will start again and I will give you my honest feelings regarding the books I read. There have been a couple of them that I haven't been able to complete, not because they are not good. I just haven't been in a real reading mood. I know crazy. I love to read. But there have been so many things going on in my life that has taken all my energy that I just couldn't get into anything. And that includes my writing.

It's really amazing what a life upheaval does to you emotionally and physically. I hope to never go through something like this again. I was an emotional wreck and it was awful. I am doing a lot better now so hopefully I can get going on all my dreams. There will be all kinds of tips and tricks on how to do things and how to create a passive income. I will share some on here also. There is also going to be tips on getting your mailing list up and going so you can create that ever envied platform that we all need. I am just getting started at it myself, so I hope you will follow my journey so that you can create the same market as I do and we can all become successful.

Okay, loves, I have let my website go for now. I was getting to overwhelmed with all the upkeep on it and all my other sites that I have to keep up on. But that is fine. I have it still in my notepad so when I want to put it up again I will. Probably bigger and better, because by that time I am hoping to be a certified webmaster. But for now I will just focus on my blogs and social media to keep you all in the loop.

I am working on my second book in the Spinners Club Series. Jasmine should be out hopefully soon. It is in the final stages of production and I am hoping it will be out before the end of the month but that is all up to my publisher now. Hopefully soon we will have a cover reveal and such. I will keep you up-to-date.

So here it is I know a lot of you who follow me on my Facebook page have seen my day to day struggles in my life. And yes I am very open with what goes on. I know not a lot of authors are but I am. I struggle just like anyone else. But I believe in open honest relationships and that is what I feel I have with many of you. I don't hide behind the computer screen and glamorize my life. My life is far from glamorous. I really don't think anyone's life is glamorous as they think. But I digress.

My life has been going through a lot of changes. I know you all see it and have tried cheering me up. But a lot of my unhappiness is not because of what is going on in my life right at this moment, but because of things I did a long time ago.

Have you ever fell in love so completely, and you knew it was the forever type of love. Well, I did. I knew the moment I fell in love with this boy that it was going to be forever. And it has been. Whether we are together or not, I love him. He is my heart. I gave pieces of my heart to other men and I don't regret that anymore, it has made me into the woman I am today. I loved many and fell for three, and by fall I mean I actually fell in love with them. My first love, my second love, and my third.

My first love I will get too, because he is who owns me. My second love well, I fell hard and fast for this boy. And my heart was broken by him but I never held it against him ever. I never will. We are still amazing friends and would have been more if things had been a little different. Our timing has always sucked. But friends are what we will always be and I am great with that.

Third love, that would be the father of my children. I know many of you have read about the difficult times we have been going through. And that it is over between us. And all that is true. I can no longer live the life that he wants. I am not the type of woman he needs and he is not the type of man I need. I don't hate him and I never will, he gave me my children. Plus I am not one of those women who want to exact revenge on a man because he strayed or lied. We all have our faults. I am not making excuses for him but I see no reason to hate him and make his life hell.

We will remain cordial and hopefully can remain friends.   But I need to explore my world and I can't do it with someone that does not like the same things I do and has not interest in being part of my interests. I will not go into anymore detail than that right now. Maybe down the road.

Now on to my first love. I met him when I was 16/17 years old. I fell for him and I fell completely. He is my one true soul mate. I have been connected to him always. He is where my heart is at home. The only place I feel at ease. I never really realized it until recently. And that sucks but it is true. He can calm me in ways that no one has ever been able too.

But it's my fault we are no longer together. And it tears me up inside every time I think about it. I know he feels the same. He has said it, but in his own words. He is the one that I know I will never get over. The one that I will continuously have hope that we will be together again. But at this point I don't know if I will ever see him again. He has erected his walls against me and I understand why. I hurt him and for that I am truly sorry. I scare him. I complicate his life. But he still is there. Just barely but he is and as long as he is there. I am here waiting for him to be ready to give me another chance.

This man own me completely, always has, always will. I am his.

After a long time off the page...I am back. I am really going to try and be a good little author but it is so hard. I love to write, but my kids don't like it so much. But now that they are back in school and I have a little free time I will be working on the blog and the books.

With in the next month or so I will be adding another page to help out my alter ego Selene Jasper. She will be releasing two new books soon. So I hope you will keep an eye out for her and her buddy Star Noble.

Molasses Cookie

Ingredients

3/4 cup margarine, melted
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 cup white sugar

Directions

In a medium bowl, mix together the melted margarine, 1 cup sugar, and egg until smooth. Stir in the molasses. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger; blend into the molasses mixture. Cover, and chill dough for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Roll dough into walnut sized balls, and roll them in the remaining white sugar. Place cookies 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until tops are cracked. Cool on wire racks.

My Review -

I would absolutely give this a 5 star. I don't read erotica very often but I am extremely happy I decided to read this novel. It was a very fast paced book with a lot of twists and turns that kept you turning the page wanting to know what happens.

I did not find this an erotic only novel it had a story behind it and it was a good story. Don't get me wrong if you want steam it had it in pure an raw form.

The story starts out learning that this officer Angela is in need of desperate attention. She becomes involved with a man she has never met or seen. Fulfilling and unknown obsession that in my eyes is never completely fulfilled. But everything that is done to her ends up happening to other women, but unlike her they end up dead.

Could it be the man that she has come to look forward to hearing from? Well if you want to know you will have to read Lethal Obsession. You will not regret it.

This book is very well written with taste and a true story for all of us that enjoy a plot with our morning, afternoon or nightly sex.

I grew up in Vermont mostly and now live in Virginiawith my family (those still at home). Myhusband and I have a blended family of seven kids.
