Hello Lovely People,
I was Amazon today and did a little search on top Nigerian films for sale and was surprised to really find many there as i added up some interesting ones.
I would have preferred Ebay to Amazon but it had very few seller of Nigerian films and the ones i saw were sellers that are not even up to one year ,so i opted for amazon,which is trusted.

In our modern day Nigeria, you can talk about cars that just got out of the makers place just like anyone in Paris, New York,Berlin, Jo’burg, Amsterdam and any other mega cities of the world but can talk about new things just out yesterday but no where in Nigeria has got that newness vibe like our new Lagos where everything and everyone is looking really mega because we are in that transition stage, where we are changing from our old self to this totally new us even though that is all we have wished for all the while long, when we were growing up looking through our TV at the London bridge and the city of Paris wishing one day all those could be our backyard.

So now we have got great places, I mean great event places too many for me to name them all. If you have not been to our new Lagos then you probably would be expecting to hear ‘Oshodi! Oshodi’ when you are back here or maybe ‘Wole Pelu Changi e’ is the last one you heard before you left Lagos. Sure we still got the hustle and the bustle thing going on and sure we know that there was once a time, when our city did not have the romance of Paris or the classic look of Venice but this is the city where I grew up and I can hardly imagine how much of me has had to go with the old Lagos.
For Example, I do not need to run after buses to get to the Island or the mainland cause I have got BRT Buses with schedule time and its own lane throughout the whole Lagos,(Can you believe that in this bustling city ), all i have to do is hop in and like light, I am in my next destination (forgive the exaggeration) still looking clean, fresh and in a good frame of mind for that appointment, African time out of the window.

Were you in Lagos about 10 years ago? when Lagos was named one of the dirtiest cities in the world and the then Governor had to instruct all public transport bus to carry with them a waste bin.
Maybe that was a catalyst for the today, maybe not, but I can assure that our new Lagos and you will see the brand herself walking the streets, Clean and all lush.

We even have parks and playgrounds on our street and alley corners are places of pride,where music video directors fall over themselves to get location set in our once upon a time slum.
Need I remind you of the notorious markets of Lagos!(Oshodi Market) I know you remember all the tales but I do not need to tell you of so many things I bought that never got home with me, I remember those days now and just laugh it off because in our new Lagos, the markets are ultra modern, with the best of everything you want to get and remember I told you about this, you will get home as clean as you left home (remember those rain boots you cannot do without in a Lagos Market during the raining season, the dirt).

Yes,our new Lagos is bustling with so many investment opportunities and a great future to look forward to but it would not be fair of me to just tell you all these and not mention the most salient of points that affect the ordinary people, the sacrifices that has been made to achieve this our new Lagos (Mega city)that so many of us are happy to be a part of it.
In today’s Lagos, forceful evictions abound because the little people need to move away for great things to happen or need I mention the amount of people displaced and made jobless because they cannot afford the stalls at our new ultra modern market or the amount of people trying to get into shanty houses in the slum that is been left over for a new MEGA Lagos to tower over.
And yes education seems to want to move on up but it seems like it would be out of the hands of the ordinary and be right up there where the rich can reach because the new fees of our Lagos tertiary institution would astound the great Obafemi Awolowo and shame him to ever thought he declared free education in the western region from right here.

Perhaps this is the price that all mega cities before us has had to pay, Paris, Venice, New York and Jo’Burg before us but it beats one question dead and even puts it six feet below, is the city made to serve the man or did man create the city so as to serve her as god?
Still, this is our City, our new Lagos! Ekabo, Eko oni baje o!

49 years Anniversary, NO 4i9 Anniversary

Nigeria, today we are celebrating 49 years of independence from Britain i wonder, if it really calls for celebration, as i could not join The Nigeria Liberty Democratic Forum (NLDF) staging protest about the plight and policy somersault of the Nigerian government (as stated by a blogger on saharareporter.com) in shielding corrupt individuals from prosecution both home and abroad, i decided to stage my own protest electronically.

Many would say, what is an e protest? My e-protest would be a summary of issues happening in Nigerian and i would give a conclusion to the planned celebration of 49 years of independence as a 4i9 years of injustice and Discrimation to the entire people of Nigeria and Niger - Delta in particularly.

My own opinion of Nigeria is a mistake made somewhere around 1914 by a British soldier named Lord Lugard but we Nigerians have to live with it till today and face all problems arising from the day the North and South was amalgamated for no particular reason but a selfish one for some tribe to be favored over the other.

This comment would make you ask, Is he a Patriot? What are his motives? Political, personal? Maybe another blogger just ranting to create attention from readers but No,i am just like every other citizen that has never felt, what is like to be loved by her country and be patriotic in return.

The situation of the country today is pitiful and i sometimes don't know, which topic to start from as there is almost every problem in my beloved country Nigeria but i would like to start with one danger ahead and nobody seems to blink an eye as we all think, it the normal routine and everything would fall into shape with time, NO i see it as another danger

Niger-Delta

The name alone and many would think of the following:

Militants

Kidnapers

Bunkering

JTF

Oil companies

Villages

Creeks etc

The list is endless but come to think of it, this is the heart and survival of the country and the government do nothing and if they do, it’s nothing but shady amnesty deals and political appointments to those, they can buy off and the problem still persist.

One militant leader once asked, "Why is the government granting amnesty?" We haven't committed any crime in demanding for a greater share of revenues generated from Crude oil sale and holding the multinational oil company responsible for the atrocities committed on the Nigerian soil, which can never be done in western Europe or america, so why should i accept amnesty, when am not a criminal but freedom fighter and no one can be charged for defending their fatherland in their country.

Secondly, many present political office holders in the government are corrupt to the core and millions of funds meant for development and poverty eradication are stolen and kept in foreign account with help of collaborators in and outside the country.

A government with zeal of fighting corruption wouldn't dismiss a high profile anti corruption crusader such as Nuhu Ribadu into exile after much attempt to assassinate him, and the AGF (The most ridiculous of all) acting to stop prosecution of ex governors under charges such as Money-laundering and Theft, and then i wonder, what are we celebrating? Are we really independent? 49 years of what? I call it 4i9 years of Fraud, corruption, Discrimination, Poverty, Blackout, Fuel shortage, Hunger, JTF invasion, Political Thuggery,arrangee government according to Fela.

As we mark 49 years of independence, if you agree with me that a revolution is needed and you are in support of it as a patriot, please leave a comment, or just type in these simple word as I would do,

What is Road Work in Italy?

Hello Everyone,
This is my first blog ever as i also wanted to join the list of millions of bloggers around the world to share my experiences as a foreigner living in Italy.
I wanted to to blog about many issues relating to my country and its citizen, as many blogger have already started with the main problems of my country Nigeria( guess many know already about it),
Politics,Corruption,Police,Bad governance,419(lol) and many more issues.
I decided to start by blogging about a very big problems many Nigerians are facing or would i call it causing among their fellow people in Europe and it has given them a crown in such a way that no other african country can take it from them.
It is called Prostitution in English and here in Italy we call it "Road Work" or the new name in town now "School"

Now many reading this would just say "Na today = not new" but this issue has given the african race a bad picture in Europe especially Italy , as no black female is respected or treated as a female but as a material, which is not suppose to be.
I guess you may wonder,why should i comment about it, since am a male and i don't do the work or involved in anyway, just one statement About 75% of the (Madam or Sponsorer = the owner of the girls) is a Male, therefore the male are the perpetrators of this inhuman and slavery of the black female in this new century.

I would start by posting some few pics i found on the internet of places, i have seen these young girls about (18- 24) selling there pride just to get free from a debt of 60,000 Euros, which was charged as a payback or face the consequence of Juju, which is used as a form of assurance, that the "girl" (many don't realize they are women) would obey orders and pay the slavery fee.

I posted this picture as a shame to those Men and Women (Madam and Sponsorer = lazy Babone) who believe these girls are there slaves,working for them to build 6bedroom flat,enrich their families, and in this process destroy someones life.
My prayer for them daily is that,what goes around comes around as sins of the father,would hunt them and whatever they do unto someone,1000 folds shall be return to them.
