Announcement

Until Then .... It is sad to say that I will end my 'blogging chapter' today. This will be my final post but I will keep this blog running without any update for a while before I delete it - permanently. After years of blogging may be some of your ask - Why? Oh well.... This blog was originally created based for 'fun sake' which later on turn more into photography journal. Beside lack of time spend for new entry, breaching 'copyright' issue is also the main reason as for why I took a decision to close and stop updating my blog. I don't want to elaborate more on this and I believe you all understand it pretty well.

As for my readers and followers, I still continuing my photography work as normal. My journal now moved to my facebook page. You will find a facebook logo on the right pane of this page. Click once and you will be there. You also find a link to my web gallery where I store most of my work. I will continue on this two page for now.

Last but now least, thanks for all your support by dropping by and read my posting. It may not be that neither informative nor interesting but you still my visitors and I appreciate that. Thanks again.

It's really challenging to get a light this weekend. Saturday was grey and dull. Today is just almost the same most of the day when suddenly, a small opening come late afternoon. Went to this place which was just a short drive from home. Took a few snap of the fisherman hut over the River Test. The view was nice but I don't feel the 'package' is complete. I still need some more elements in my compo to make it my complete photo. Jot down the location detail with some reference snaps. I'll give her a visit again ... ;-)

Took this while walking back towards the car park. I don't expect this as I'm 'working' on the other side of the beach where the sun set just - technically - behind me. So this piece of picture was taken in a rush - grab my cammie, lock it on the tripod, compose - snap... snap and snap....

It's winter now, chasing the lights game become more and more harder now. But that make it more interesting. Bring it on - I always game for it.... ;-)

Went to New Forest again today for I don't know how many times and I'll come here again and again. There is still too many opportunities but only works when the 'perfect light' emerges. This is the games that all landscape photographer need to play with. A game to what best known as chasing the lights.

Bratley View - New Forest

One of the best place to be near home - well, not really that 'near' but I'd like to come here and walked while enjoying the nature beauty especially in autumn. It just too many places to be, just within the forest it self. Been to one places after another just to make me realise, there's still to many places missing in your list - still plenty need to be visited. So today, I added two more 'stops' in my list, Bratley View, Mogshade Hill and Whitefield Moor.

Casual 'SnS' weekend at Stourhead Garden in Wiltshire. I thought of having some 'photography project' that I might throw in which will spread over a year to complete. So, I might consider this lovely garden in my list since it just a straight line from home.

After a numbers of great weather out for a 'Stop n Shoot' last few weeks, looking at the forecast for this weekend, I opt to just go for my 'SnS' somewhere near home. So, grab a 'topo-map' (Oooo.. yeah, back to good old scout day.. ;-)) and start looking for highest point somewhere north of Andover up to the border of Berkshire. Naahhh... found one - Inkpen Beacon, and off we go.

West Berkshire from Walbury Hill

This particular landscape offers a cure for any number of inconsequential anxieties brought on by self-absorbtion. There's no shortage of space in this dramatic countryside of beautiful sweeping hills and open wide skies. The scenery is just blowing .... marvellous beds of landscape from the top. I should come again in mid autumn or perhaps winter...

Misty Morning - Danebury Hill

I keep looking on the forecast this week to see if I can get some fog or mist good enough to give some drama from the hill top. Usually, if it is raining a day before, and clear sky in the night, there is a chance for a misty and foggy morning. And that was my luck early this morning. Get up early to find a thick fog from my tiny window. Quick shower - pack up my gear and off we go. This time I go for Danebury Hill that I've done my recce before. We arrived in very thick fog with only less than 30meter visibility. I still have to wait for another 20-30min before I get light that I want, and to find it's only last for less than 15min before it gets brighter. Spend an hour plus before we head back home for breakfast.

Dancing Ledge, Jurassic Coast - Dorset

Another B&W series of Dancing Ledge, Dorset. The sun came from behind me was to intense that cause deep shadow into my photo. I almost discard this picture and let it buried in my hard disk but on my second thought, let me give 'em another B&W touch and see how it goes from there.......

Dancing Ledge, Jurassic Coast - Dorset

I went to do my recce again today but this time, I heads down to Dorset for my usual - weekly 'stop and shoot' to find the best location for my future photo outing. Since it is more or less like ad-hoc kind of plan, so Dancing Ledge pops-up. Never been here before other than browsing through photos and pictures either from magazines or from my good old buddy - Mr.Google, so I decided to give it a try...It's a stunning coastline indeed with layers of rock make it ideal location for practicing your rock/wall climbing skills.

Another shoot when I was near the pond during my last recce. Playing with an intense sunlight on the trees, water, sky and clouds. This is my attempt to see if I can get a huge black n white tonal ranges on my shoot. After all, it was OK and not disappointing ..... ;-)

Since almost a month/half of 'hibernating', now its time to head back and get dirty - trying hard to understand the natural behaviour of lights and hopefully capturing those moment. I'm still waiting for my additional kits to arrived - which was back ordered about 4-8 weeks now. Hopefully it will be on my door steps next week...
