I do have a 5 years old daughter who is attending a Preparatory in a traditional school. I must admit that I am not that hands on mother, because of my busy schedule working at home and so many things. But I make sure that I am the one who will teach her, whatever lesson they have in her school. I wanted to have a fix schedule with her daily, teach her daily in her every lesson not only when she has an assignment. But I have a hard time following that schedule. What can you suggest so I can keep up with her lesson? Should I hire a tutor?

How Do You Discipline a Child?

These are a question that most of the parent always asks. Is there really a pattern how to discipline a child? We parent must admit that all children are not the same; they are different in some way. We cannot compare them to one another especially if they grow in different surrounding, they have their own special way to show how discipline they are. But how we wish they will all listen to all what we are saying, but we cannot train them like a dog. Children are children, sometimes we have to let them go and let them grow as a child way they should be. We as parent should only guide them and tell them what is wrong and right, and what’s the consequence when they do something wrong.

Do our children have the right to decide for themselves while they are young? Probably the answer is depend how old they are already. An infant do really decide what they want, we have no choice but give it to them, but when they reach the age 1 and up we dictate them already what they should do or not. Because we think that is what is right for them and we called it discipline. In my opinion, I think it is also right sometimes to ask them what they really want and let them decide. As I have said earlier we just have to remind the consequence of their decision.

We parent cannot discipline a child the way our parent discipline us, because as the time change. Like 30-20 years ago our parents discipline us in different way in an old fashion way because that was their time, we cannot do that in a modern time because as the time change childrens needs or belief changes also. We parent ( I think) must be flexible, too strict to our children can lead their feeling far away from us, but if learn how to get along and keep track on them we will always knew what they are doing and they will have full respect on us.

Let our children choose things on their own, let support them and keep our advice as their everyday meal. I think that discipline start on believing on them, and trust them.

Before I thought LinkedIn was just for a high professional Business sector, but then when I was able to win a project that was the time I learned more about LinkedIn. The project I got was so simple, just adding and accepting connection in his account, I was able to read the rules and policy in LinkedIn. I had learned that LinkedIn can lead us to a work opportunity and there is a lot of group and discussion you can read and learn.

Then I signed up to get my own account in LinkedIn, I just submit the necessary information needed. Promoted my Virtual Assistant jobs and you know what... a few months later someone contacted me and ask me if I can work for her. I was lucky because the job she was proposing was permanently and it was so easy. I only have to post discussion 3 times a week and earned $40, they are the one who provided the discussion topic. All I have to do is posted it in some Groups discussion board which take only less than an hour a day. I get my payment bi-weekly. Sometime she is also giving me other stuff to do, of course with extra pay.

I think LinkedIn is also a good site where we can promote our skills and meet other person who has the same interest. You can also find there big time personalities like CEO, Manager, Shop owner etc. I am blogging about this not because I am doing it for profit, it’s because I wanted to share the good things that happened to me through LinkedIn.

We should be very proud of her, for giving another honor in the our country.Despite the pressure, she is able to end up with 4th runner up. It is not easy to stand there and you know to yourself that everyone is counting on you.
She could have done better than that in question and answer portion, but pressure is to blame on that. And we should not make a negative critism regarding her answer because we are not on her foot that time.
Despite the negative critism we should be very proud of her and give her a BIG APPLAUSE....

To Venue Raj, you were great and look really wonderful that night. We are proud of you and we believe that you can do more as a 4th runner.

My Virtual World Keep Me Busy

I am really blessed this week, got a lot of work to do. Work mean extra income for my me. I got contacted again by my previous client and asking me to be his Virtual Assistant again, then I could keep my weekly job in LinkedIn discussion posting. Be able to do some Data Entry. I just wish with all of this project I am able to save a lot money.

The Last Airbender in 3D

Finally yesterday I was able to watch "The Last Airbender" in Town Center Alabang. The ticket is kinda expensive since it was in 3D but it's worth it at all. The only critic I have is the Character was not the same, I think it would be cute if the character of Aang was a bit funny like in Cartoon. Every character was so serious. But overall the effect was good. We have to wait for the next Book of this movie, since this part was only the Book 1.

I enjoyed watching and will definitely wait for the next one....
