There’s one thing I realized in my life lately: I cannot leave cooking behind. I may be out of the touch with cooking and haven’t been working in the kitchen for a long time. There were times that I try to avoid it and despise it because I felt that I am not good at it. And that is also true with teaching.

On my birthday

Almost a month ago, I celebrated my last birthday as a single woman. Four months from now, I would be saying "I do" to my fiance whom God brought into my life. Until now, I am still amazed how God brought us together.

My last post was more than a year ago and I couldn't help but think where the direction of my blog is going. I find it hard to maintain my blog due to unforeseen circumstances.

I am currently detached and disconnected from the culinary world as I’m finishing my Trainer’s Methodology from TESDA. More than two weeks ago, I mentioned that I started a program that involves supplementation, eating right and exercise. I just finished that program about 4 days ago and here are the results. I never thought in my entire life that I had a 32.5 inch waistline until I converted it from centimeter. I had no excuse.

Because I just did. Read on.

In a nutshell, whole foods are foods that are either unprocessed or unrefined. Although I teach people to eat more plant-based foods such as whole grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables, I realized that I don’t practice them at all. The Arab Games in Doha, Qatar last December 2011 is one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. I couldn’t describe it in one word or even chronicle the whole event in just one post.
