<p>Christine was performing a qualitative research project when she kept stumbling on Dr. Marquardt&#8217;s prolific writings on such topics as:</p>

<p>Christine was able to interview several of Dr. Marquardt&#8217;s distinguished colleagues as part of this project and describes the process in the interview.</p>
<p>A bit about Dr. Marquardt includes:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 60px;">Dr. Michael Marquardt is Professor of Human Resource Development and International Affairs.  Mike also serves as President of the “World Institute for Action Learning”.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 60px;">He has held a number of senior management, training and marketing positions with organizations such as Grolier, American Society for Training and Development, Association Management Inc., Overseas Education Fund, TradeTec, and U.S. Office of Personnel Management.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 60px;">Dr. Marquardt has trained more than 95,000 managers in nearly 100 countries since beginning his international experience in Spain in 1969. Mike is the author of 20 books and over 100 professional articles in the fields of leadership, learning, globalization and organizational change.  Over one million copies of his publications have been sold in nearly a dozen languages worldwide.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 60px;">He has been a keynote speaker at international conferences in Australia, Japan, Philippines, Malaysia, South Africa, Singapore, and India as well as throughout North America.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 60px;">Dr. Marquardt&#8217;s achievements and leadership have been recognized though numerous awards including the International Practitioner of the Year Award from the American Society for Training and Development.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 60px;">Mike is a Fellow of the National Academy for Human Resource Development and a co-founder of the Asian Learning Organization Network.  Ramkhamhaeng University in Thailand, and the International Management Centre at Oxford, England have awarded him honorary doctoral degrees for his work and writings in the field of action learning and leadership development. Dr. Marquardt has also done graduate work at Harvard, Columbia and the University of Virginia.</p>
<p>This interview is very impactful and content-rich and is recommended for anyone in management, leadership, or who is responsible for the training and development of others.  Leaders will find the interview particularly helpful in their practice, especially those working within a strong cross-cultural or international/global environment.</p>

<p>Philip has more than 25 years of experience in the human resource management and development field dealing with a variety of industries and multi-national corporations.  Primarily based in Singapore now, Philip has had extensive experience in China as well as Vietnam.  He has business relationships and referral networks of consultants through the International Executive Resource Center located in China, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, as well as other locations in Southeast Asia and the United States.</p>
<p>Philip currently serves as the Secretary for The Singapore Association for Continuing Education (SACE); and has received his tertiary education in the United Kingdom.  Philip is a true human resource development (HRD) practitioner.</p>
