Joe Biden wrote to his son Hunter and others close to him using the pseudonym "Peter Henderson" – a fictional Soviet Union-era spy in several Tom Clancy novels who infiltrated the US government, emails show.

The messages contained on Hunter's abandoned laptop appear to indicate the then-VP started using the fictitious mole's moniker in October 2016 while forwarding a YouTube video to his son Hunter, brother Jim, daughter-in-law Hallie, as well as his sister and longtime political strategist Valerie Biden Owens.

Biden sent the message using an email address with a username of "67stingray" — a clear reference to his beloved 1967 Corvette Stingray.

The name attached to Biden's "67stingray" account at the time was "Peter Henderson" – which matches the name of the KGB spy in Clancy's popular Jack Ryan series, according to online fan pages.

Henderson, whose codename was Cassius in Clancy's realm, worked as a "minor Senate aide" in 1970 before becoming a Russian spy who was later caught by the CIA and turned into a double agent.

He was then freed due to "deep knowledge of secret information on the Soviet Union," according to an authoritative Jack Ryan fan site. The character appeared in four Clancy novels, including "The Hunt for Red October."

Biden's unabashed affinity for his green, 300-horsepower Corvette convertible is also well-documented – with him even appearing on a CNBC segment of "Jay Leno's Garage" in 2016.

In October 2020, The Post exclusively revealed the existence of Hunter Biden's emails in a series reports based on the contents of a damaged MacBook Pro laptop that was abandoned at a repair shop in the Biden family's hometown of Wilmington, Delaware.

After downplaying the emails as unverified, both the New York Times and the Washington Post authenticated many of them — including some apparently being used in a federal probe of suspected tax fraud, money laundering and foreign lobbying violations by Hunter Biden.

Biden's 'Disinformation' czar is latest assault on free speech

Is Team Biden no longer even trying to avoid being a laughingstock? Why did Biden just appoint a champion of the Hunter Biden laptop coverup to serve as chief of his new Ministry of Truth?

Department of Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that his agency is creating a "Disinformation Governance Board." Given the Biden record, it is unclear whether the new board will be fighting or promulgating "disinformation."

In October 2020, after The New York Post exposed damning emails and other information in Hunter Biden's laptop, Jankowicz, the head of the new board, scoffed at the laptop controversy: "We should view it as a Trump campaign product."

Jankowicz never complained when Twitter suppressed all links to The Post articles before the 2020 election. But last week, when rumors circulated that Elon Musk might buy Twitter, she fretted to National Public Radio: "I shudder to think about if free speech absolutists were taking over more platforms."

That line is the Rosetta Stone for understanding the new Disinformation Governance Board. The goal is not "truth" — which could arise from the clash of competing opinions. Instead, political overlords need power to exert pressure and pull to shape Americans' beliefs by discrediting, if not totally suppressing, disapproved opinions.

Biden's new board is part of a concerted liberal attack on free speech.

"Disinformation" is often simply the lag time between the pronouncement and the debunking of government falsehoods. In early 2003, anyone who denied that Saddam Hussein had Weapons of Mass Destruction was guilty of disinformation — until after George W. Bush's Iraq invasion found no W.M.D.s. For much of last year, anyone who disputed Biden's assertion that people who get vaccines won't get COVID was guilty of disinformation — until the administration was forced to admit the president was wrong. Is the new definition of disinformation "anything which undermines trust in President Biden"?

Federal agencies have deluged Americans with malarkey for decades. We don't need a Disinformation Czar to hector us to submit to the latest Washington catechism.

Shepherd Investigation: Web of Activists Influenced the PA Election

Shepherd's investigation reveals that the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) grants and the Center for Secure and Modern Elections (CSME) played a significant role in the state's elections at the county level. While he refrained from declaring that the election was "somehow stolen from Donald Trump," he made it crystal clear that the Get Out The Vote (GOTV) effort in the election did not serve all Pennsylvania counties and/or voters equally, a violation of equal protection clause. Instead, the GOTV efforts seem to have consistently served "select county election offices," a pattern of behavior that has now been proven in multiple states. His reporting was informed by "on-the-record responses from elected officials…about a dozen right-to-know law requests" and emails.

Shepherd's opening statement summarizes the scheme well.

"The grants awarded were heavily biased towards Democratic-voting counties; that agents of the Governor's office and Secretary of State's office appeared to have had a hand in creating that imbalance; that paid political consultants with partisan interests became involved, raising considerable ethical questions; and that some government actors involved with these grants knew about some of the political bias involved, but did not care, or — in one instance I will show you — told the public something very different than what they were saying behind closed doors."

Shepherd says he found "a tremendous amount of circumstantial evidence" to indicate that grants went overwhelmingly to blue counties. Not only that, CTCL and CSME relied on "other actors—such as paid political consultants and nonprofits" to do their dirty work. He discusses numerous organizations, consultants, and strategists who worked "to help win this swing state," quoting Kevin Mack, Lead Strategist for The Voter Project.

As an example of issues with the equal protection clause, in Delaware County alone, a county that garnered great interest from Marc Solomon in terms of grant money, Democrats who had taken a "roughly 18-thousand voter registration advantage in 2016…turned it into a 47-thousand voter registration advantage in 2020" in part because of the injection of drop boxes. Cleveland reports that the County "had ten times the number of drop boxes planned over the even larger Montgomery County."

Shepherd's testimony was what Pennsylvania Senate Republicans needed to pass the two important election integrity bills. Senator Mastriano, in an April 13 press release, states:

"Mark Zuckerberg and his liberal front groups claimed their grants were awarded equally for the "safe administration of elections" during COVID. But most of those funds went to things like drop boxes and satellite offices, not PPE. When adjusted for population, Democrat counties received more grant money from Zuckerberg to influence voter turnout than Republican counties received in the 2020 election. There are no public records showing the amounts that all counties requested and any conditions that Zuckerberg's groups placed on the grants. It's also important to note that the use of private funds for elections was never approved by the General Assembly."

"When it comes to drop boxes, there is now documented evidence that ballot harvesting occurred at drop box locations in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Lehigh, Luzerne, and Lackawanna counties. Like private funds, drop boxes were never approved by the General Assembly in the first place. They were unconstitutionally created by the State Supreme Court."

Biden’s insulting response to our inflation crisis

President Joe Biden just set another record: The worst inflation since 1981, as consumer prices climbed a staggering 8.5% over the 12 months ending in March. That's our sixth straight month of inflation above 6%, and our 11th straight month above 5%.

The inflation picture gets even uglier when you drill down (though, of course, Team Biden opposes new drilling). Fuel oil is up an eye-popping 70%; gasoline, 48%. Not a single category of food saw sub-7% inflation.

The overall number just for March was 1.2%, the sharpest monthly jump since September 2005. That translates to a loss of 2.7% for monthly wages.

This inflation is costing the typical family (median household income of $67,500) at least $5,000 a year.

Hardest hit are those Democrats claim to care about most: Some 35% of non-white voters report major financial strain along with almost 50% of voters with incomes below $60,000.

But the president refuses to adjust course. His budget calls for more taxes, more borrowing, more spending. He's made no move to end his war on domestic energy. And he definitely won't admit that his disastrous American Rescue Plan was, as a Fed study has shown, the spark that touched off this conflagration by dumping almost $2 trillion into an already overheating economy.

Nope, all Americans get from Joe & Co. is trivial gestures and lame blame-shifting.

All of which basically guarantees that inflation, along with all the other disasters wrought by Democratic control of Washington, will only keep getting worse.

In the week prior to the presidential election, I wrote a piece that asked the question, "Where Is Hunter Biden's Money?" It was an important question then, even more so now. Given the legacy media's recent validation of Hunter's laptop that discussed a slice of equity planned for the "Big Guy" in a deal that involved an entity controlled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), we should know if any money from it (or other foreign sources) ended up in Joe Biden's pocket, but we don't.

Recall that despite then-presidential candidate Biden having bragged that he had released his tax returns with what his team called "a historic level of transparency," the truth is that he only released his individual returns. Those returns provided no detail regarding the source of most of his income, dollars that flowed to him and his wife Jill by way of S-corporations they set up shortly after his departure from the office of vice president. Those entities, CelticCapri Corp (his) and Giacoppa Corp (hers), contained more than $13 million of the $17 million the couple had reported in income after Biden left office, most of it in the first year (2017).

The same media that ignored Hunter's laptop has shown a complete incuriosity about these entities, accepting the premise that Joe and Jill raked in $13 million from their book deal to generate their huge increase in income. We simply don't know if that's true, though. What we do know is that their book sales were dismal.

Follow the source link provided to that $10 million number, though, and you'll end up at Joe Biden's campaign website with financial disclosure links to only their individual returns — no S-corporation tax returns. So, in reality, readers were left with a smokescreen. (Now the financial disclosure links for 2016, 2017, and 2018 have even been changed to connect to a Democratic National Committee fundraising site via ActBlue rather than the tax documents.)

Rather than ask for proof of sources of income, the media has been stuck in a repeating cycle of reporting about whether Joe and Jill underpaid payroll taxes. That's a valid question, but it may miss the much larger one: Where did all of that money come from after Biden left office?

Spies who lie: 51 ‘intelligence’ experts refuse to apologize for discrediting true Hunter Biden story

They are the supposed nonpartisan group of top spies looking out for the best interest of the nation.

But the 51 former "intelligence" officials who cast doubt on The Post's Hunter Biden laptop stories in a public letter really were just desperate to get Joe Biden elected president. And more than a year later, even after their Deep State sabotage has been shown again and again to be a lie, they refuse to own up to how they undermined an election.

The officials, including CNN pundit and professional fabricator James Clapper — a man who was nearly charged for perjury for lying to Congress — signed a letter saying that the laptop "has the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation."

Neither Joe Biden nor Hunter Biden had denied the story, they simply deflected questions. Didn't these security experts think that if this was disinformation, the Biden campaign would have yelled to the heavens that the story was false?

Meanwhile, though the letter was advertised as being signed by people who worked "for presidents of both political parties," a majority of the officials were Democrats.

Politico picked up the letter and ran the false headline "Hunter Biden story is Russian disinfo, dozens of former intel officials say." That headline is still online today, even though the letter clearly says they don't know if it's Russian disinformation.

That headline was tweeted out by legions of Democrats, including current White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki, as proof that it was all a con. That tweet also is still up despite being proven false.

Keep in mind that Twitter already had banned The New York Post a few days before. The rationale was that this was "hacked materials," even though it wasn't — and Twitter had no evidence to think it was. A Facebook official, meanwhile, said it wasn't going to allow the sharing of The Post's story until it was "fact checked" by a third party — a check that never happened.

Thus, Big Tech, former government officials, and the media conspired together to bury a story.

No, not just bury — create a false narrative that flipped the script to make Joe Biden the victim of a conspiracy.

In short, they peddled online disinformation to sway an election.

Only after the election was safely over did Hunter tacitly admit the laptop was his. Last year, a Politico reporter confirmed that the laptop's materials were real. And now, the coup de grace: The Times said it's "authenticated" material from the laptop.

There have been no consequences. Twitter and Facebook still censor information based on political bias, and Congress takes no action. Many of the letter signers continue to be used as "experts" by the media. Clapper, for instance, spent years on CNN calling Donald Trump a "Russian asset," a lie invented and fed by political operatives of Hillary Clinton. He's still there. Guess accuracy is not a condition of employment.

Do the officials who tried to flip the 2020 election feel any regret for their actions? The Post reached out to those who signed the letter. Most would answer the question. A few doubled-down, including Clapper. No remorse. No shame. And no apologies:

Trudeau’s totalitarian turn

It was the hot tub that did it. Photos of Canadian convoy supporters relaxing in a hot tub on a downtown Ottawa street last weekend were splashed all over the news. Now Justin Trudeau is mad and he's gone and invoked war measures, known as the Emergencies Act. He wants that hot tub off the streets, pronto, and he needs wartime powers to get it done. Civil liberties remain 'temporarily' suspended... just for two weeks, while we flatten the protesters!

Judging by his behaviour, Trudeau has been hoping for some kind of violence ever since the truckers' movement started. He needed something, anything that could serve as a Canadian 6 January moment so as to arrogate even more dictatorial powers than Canada's existing state of emergency allowed. But despite constant provocation, truckers gave him nothing to work with. Even the efforts of Canada's finest state-subsidised creative writers (the mainstream media) couldn't spin this thing — in all its bouncy-castle, dance-party, hot-tubbified glory — into a believable insurrection.

However, Canada's elites, both on left and right, sadly, are fixating on the presence of truckers in the capital and at the borders only as an embarrassment, a kind of excrescence on the face of the nation. For them, the problem is not one of citizen discontent but one of optics and economics. They aren't interested in hearing about the impact of the mandates on citizens' lives. They don't want to carry out a public cost-benefit analysis or provide a clear exit plan from the Covid measures.

This civil disobedience is all Trudeau can cite in justification of the Emergencies Act. The rationale is that ongoing protest and peaceful civil disobedience constitute a threat to national security and to the economy. Yet a credible government would have avoided this situation entirely by addressing, or at least expressing a willingness to evaluate, the suffering it is inflicting on its own people. The Emergencies Act is only supposed to be invoked as a last resort in a genuine crisis — the War Measures Act, its predecessor, was last invoked under Pierre Trudeau in response to actual terrorism involving numerous bombings and the kidnapping and murder of a cabinet minister.

These are totalitarian methods, not the methods of a justly governed, civilised nation. What is particularly notable in government discourse over the last couple of weeks is that Covid has become an afterthought. Nobody in power appears genuinely concerned about anything other than maintaining control and saving face. Two-thirds of the Canadian population now support dropping all mandates.

How Obama and Biden laid groundwork for Afghanistan disaster

As his hasty Afghanistan exit looms larger as a strategic blunder, President Biden is still blaming his predecessor for the debacle, arguing the former President Trump tied his hands.

It's Trump's fault, the administration insists, that Afghanistan has collapsed into a pre-9/11 narco-terrorist state run by medieval mullahs brutalizing women all over again. "The last president signed an agreement to get out," Biden reminded reporters during last month's marathon White House press conference.

But the truth is, it was the other way around.

Trump essentially inherited what Biden started nine years earlier as vice president, according to White House e-mails and U.S. officials who investigated his old office's secret dealings with the Taliban.

Biden had advocated withdrawing from Afghanistan when he served as President Obama's vice president. The White House shared a common goal with the Taliban in ending the war, concerned as it was that the long troop deployment looked like the "occupation" of a Muslim nation. And Biden's then-national security adviser — Antony "Tony" Blinken — spearheaded an effort to achieve that goal, which included as its centerpiece a once-covert plan to spring from the Guantanamo Bay terrorist prison basically the entire old leadership of the Taliban captured by U.S. forces after the 9/11 attacks.

The shocking 2014 paroling of the so-called Taliban Five, which was sold as a patriotic move to free an alleged Afghan "P.O.W." — US Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl — paved the way for the creation of a shadow Taliban government in Qatar.

That Taliban government in exile was used to formally negotiate the ill-advised U.S. withdrawal agreement.

"The White House just wanted the Taliban Five out to start that process," Bright said. "That's now more apparent in hindsight."

Without their release — orchestrated by Blinken, who is now Secretary of State under Biden — there likely would be no troop pullout or Taliban takeover, and 13 U.S. service members slaughtered while guarding a mass evacuation at the Afghan airport would still be alive today.

Amnesty International's latest Israel smear

Amnesty International UK waited until after Holocaust Remembrance Day to publish its latest report on Israel — which depends on ignoring that history and Palestinian efforts to repeat it.

Expect the media to be all over it, since Amnesty is, for the first time, officially accusing Israel of "apartheid" (joining Human Rights Watch, which made the same obscene jump last year).

Anti-Zionist activists and politicians love using the word to smear Israel's citizenship laws and national-security policies — to delegitimize the Jewish state by equating it with South Africa's old racist regime.

Simply missing is any real sense that the Palestinian political leadership has long pursued policies founded in the denial of Israel's right to exist. Then again, it never treats Palestinians as having any control over their own actions.

The long "Recommendations" section calls for sanctions, arms embargoes and other international actions against Israel as a whole. But it asks of the Palestinians only that their political leaders "document . . . the discriminatory impact of Israel's system of apartheid against the Palestinian population" and stop security co-ordination with Israel.

Nothing about Hamas abandoning its genocidal rhetoric, let alone its efforts to deliver on it. Or about committing to no further rocket attacks on civilian targets.

It's sad to see a second big-name global human-rights group pushing this garbage, but Amnesty isn't offering anything new: just more distortions, double standards and table-pounding.

Why hasn’t Fauci been fired and put under FBI investigation yet?

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the White House top medical adviser, shouldn't be on TV; he should be under federal investigation answering serious questions about his knowledge of the National Institutes of Health's reckless funding of dangerous gain-of-function research of bat coronaviruses at China's Wuhan lab via EcoHealth Alliance while overseeing the government agency.

And the so-called infectious disease expert leading the US COVID-19 pandemic response should be explaining shocking new information and emails obtained by Fox News' "Special Report" program exposing Fauci's reported role in withholding vital information about the true origins of the suspected bioengineered coronavirus and subsequent alleged cover-up at the outset of the pandemic beginning in January 2020.

The fact that America's highest medical officer reportedly failed to disclose this critical information to the public is beyond frightening; it's a dereliction of duty warranting his immediate dismissal and full investigation by authorities.

"On January 31, Dr. Kristian Andersen, a noted virologist at the Scripps Lab, privately told Fauci that after discussion with his colleagues some of COVID-19's features look possibly engineered and the 'genome is inconsistent with expectations from evolutionary theory,' " reports Fox News.

"Hours later, Fauci hastily organized a call with dozens of worldwide virologists, and notes from the meeting obtained by Special Report reveal that suspicions of the lab leak theory were suppressed over concerns of how the public would react to news of possible Chinese government involvement."

So instead of being upfront with the American people and world at large about where and how the deadly pandemic began, it appears that Fauci & Co. were more concerned with protecting Communist China's image and shielding the oppressive regime from accountability. In the meeting, now retired former National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins expressed fears that "science and international harmony" could be harmed and "accusations of China's involvement could distract top researchers."

Huh? Did Team Fauci do Communist China's bidding by acting as its de facto public relations firm covering up its possible role in unleashing mass genocide? And have Fauci, Collins or other staffers at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases ever communicated with Chinese authorities or colluded with others within the domestic or international scientific community to deliberately deceive the public on the virus's origins?

These are just some of the questions the FBI and members of Congress should be demanding answers to as a matter of national security and public health, given the pandemic has killed millions worldwide and is still causing an average of over 2,000 American deaths per day, according to statistics by Johns Hopkins University.

In fresh proof of the lunacy of the United Nations, North Korea will chair its world disarmament forum for four weeks starting May 30.

Yes, the world's foremost weapons proliferator will preside over the 65-nation World Disarmament Conference, most famous for producing the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty back in 1968.

North Korea is in constant violation of nine separate UN orders thanks to its continued nuclear and ballistic-missile programs. It has launched six ballistic missiles in four weapons tests this month, and the country openly sells its missile and atomic blueprints to any comer.

Pyongyang also routinely threatens to attack other UN member states.

Fine, North Korea's role at the forum is largely ceremonial, but what a message it sends. Any government that actually cares about disarmament ought to boycott, as the United States and Canada did when Iran held the same chair in 2013.

We neither know nor care what global politicking leads to such travesties. Yet it all shows once again that all the talk of high ideals in the UN halls is just noise.

Joe Biden is undermining faith in elections and dividing the country. His false claim is that the 2022 elections will not be legitimate because Democrats failed to pass their partisan voting procedure bills Wednesday night.

Asked directly if he thought the 2022 elections would be illegitimate in that event, Biden said, "I'm not going to say it's going to be legit. The increase and the prospect of being illegitimate is in direct proportion to us not being able to get these reforms passed."

White House press secretary Jen Psaki must have recognized the gravity of Biden's remarks because she issued a statement Thursday morning attempting to change what Biden had said.

"Let's be clear," Psaki tweeted, "POTUS was not casting doubt on the legitimacy of the 2022 election. … He was explaining that the results would be illegitimate if states do what the former president asked them to do after the 2020 election."

Both Vice President Kamala Harris and House Majority Whip James Clyburn gave interviews Thursday morning repeating and affirming Biden's statement that the 2022 elections will not be legitimate because Democrats failed to pass their preferred voting procedure legislation.

CNN's Kasie Hunt asked Clyburn, "Are you concerned that without these voting rights bills the election results won't be legitimate?"

Clyburn responded, "I'm absolutely concerned about that."

So much for Psaki's walk-back.

Public trust in elections is the cornerstone of democracy. It was bad for the country when Trump cast doubt on the 2020 elections. It is equally bad when Biden questions the legitimacy of the 2022 elections. This country will be a better place when we have moved on from both of these old men.

The reality of American voters' lived experience of his presidency is evident in his plummeting polls after a hellish first year of self-inflicted crises, from Afghanistan to inflation to illegal migration.

And yet the president declared to the world that he is doing a tremendous job and has "achieved more than any president in history." Well, let's see how well he did on the sincerity-versus-delusion scale in his first press conference in 78 days.

1. Biden has "outperformed" all expectations in his first year.

In the lasting damage his polices have wrought, he has outperformed even the lowest expectations set by his former boss, Barack Obama, who reportedly warned Democrats: "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f–k things up."

2. Inflation has nothing to do with him. It's the fault of the supply chain crisis, which is the fault of COVID-19.

Actually, the primary cause of current inflation is out-of-control federal government spending that has flooded the US economy with trillions of dollars.

3. He's brought down gas prices.

Umm, no. America was energy-independent until he placed restrictions on the US market on Day One. He cut off pipelines and restricted drilling. A gallon of gas the day he took office last Jan. 20 was $2.38. Today it is $3.31.

4. Kamala Harris is doing a "good job" on "voting rights."

His VP has become increasingly invisible as her approval numbers plunge, but he explicitly chained himself to Harris in 2024, in the face of rumors that Hillary Clinton could replace her.

5. He did not liken opponents of his "voting rights" bills to racists and segregationists during his Georgia speech last week.

When asked what he had to say to those offended by his rhetoric, he lost his temper. "I did not say they were going to be a George Wallace or Bull Connor."

6. "Look, I'm a capitalist."

We can mark this as only half-delusional. While he has dragged America to the left under the thrall of the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez-Bernie Sanders wing of his party, when it comes to Biden family grift, tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia, Ukraine and elsewhere show that the "Big Guy" has indeed been an energetic capitalist in his personal life.

7. It's all the Republicans' fault.

Biden also accused Republicans of undermining the "legitimacy" of elections by refusing to pass his "voting rights" bills to entrench permanent Democratic rule and refused to say whether the 2022 midterms would be legitimate.

8. It's really all Trump's fault.

Biden made "no apology" for the debacle of his Afghanistan withdrawal. That, too, was Trump's fault, and the "incompetence of the Taliban."

9. Russia.

Biden talked tough about Russia yesterday before saying it would not be held accountable for a "minor incursion" into Ukrainian territory.

10. Cognitive health.

There was a moment during the two-hour ordeal when reality crept into the East Room. James Rosen from Newsmax asked a polite question about a Politico poll that found a majority of voters don't think Biden is "mentally fit."

"I have no idea," was Biden's response.

It was the truest thing he said in two hours.

Polls: ‘Weak’ Joe Biden gets ‘F’ grade from 37% of Americans

A new poll has found that more than a third of Americans (37 percent) give President Biden's first year in the White House a failing grade as his administration continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain issues and the ongoing border crisis a year after taking office.

Only 11 percent of registered voters gave the president an "A" grade, according to the survey conducted by Politico and Morning Consult. Twenty percent gave him a "B," 18 percent graded him with a "C" and 12 percent gave him a "D."

Even members of Biden's own party proved to be harsh graders.

The poll found that only 23 percent of voters who identified as Democrats gave the president an "A," while 38 percent and 25 percent gave him "B" and "C" grades, respectively. More than two-thirds of Republicans (69 percent) graded Biden with an "F," while 17 percent gave him a "D," 9 percent gave him a "C" and 4 percent gave him a "B."

Most independent voters graded Biden's first year in office as average or failing, with 33 percent giving the president an "F" and 24 percent giving him a "C." Of the remainder, 18 percent gave Biden a "B," 13 percent handed out a "D" grade and just 7 percent gave him an "A."

Turning to specific issues, Biden got the highest percentage of "A" grades (18 percent) for his handling of COVID-19, though a plurality of respondents (31 percent) still gave him an "F" on that issue. The highest percentage of "F" grades was for Biden's handling of the national debt (41 percent), followed closely by the issues of immigration and "restoring unity" (40 percent each).

Similarly, 50 percent of respondents disagreed with the statement "Joe Biden is trustworthy," while 53 percent disagreed that the president "keeps his promises" and 58 percent found fault with the statement "Joe Biden is energetic." Fifty-six percent of voters also disagreed that Biden is "a clear communicator," while half of respondents disagreed that the president "cares about people like me."

The survey found that 42 percent of respondents believe the president's performance will "get worse," while 29 percent expressed hope it will "get better" and 23 percent said it will stay the same.

On the international stage, your standing is even worse thanks to your appalling decision to abruptly abandon the people of Afghanistan to the Taliban wolves last summer. From the moment COVID-19 appeared, the pandemic became inseparable from politics.

Political frenzy was inevitable since the SARS-CoV-2 virus may have escaped from a level-4-security virology lab in Wuhan, China.

The rapid-fire spread soon threatened to indict the Chinese Communist government for nearly destroying the world economy and killing millions.

Western elites, in response, feared that their own lucrative investments in China would be jeopardized by such disclosures — and so acted accordingly in defending Beijing.

Nonetheless, one scenario that remains intriguing is that the escaped virus was birthed by gain-of-function research scientists, overseen by elements of the Chinese Communist military. Worse, the lab was given subsidies by US health authorities, routed through third parties. Hiding all that damaging information warped government policy and media coverage.

Belatedly, a panicked China shut down all domestic travel in and out of Wuhan — but not flights abroad to Western Europe and the United States.

From the outset, the World Health Organization simply spread false talking points about the outbreak from the Chinese government, delaying a robust global response.

Former President Donald Trump's political opponents initially told Americans to shop and travel as usual — only to pivot as cases mounted and they blamed the president.

The US 2020 ban on travel from China was met with charges of racism and xenophobia from presidential candidates. Ironically, many were simply channeling racist and xenophobic China's propaganda.

Trump's Operation Warp Speed project to develop vaccinations was also pilloried. Candidates Kamala Harris and Joe Biden did their best to talk down the safety of the impending inoculations. But once in power, they projected their own prior harmful rhetoric onto so-called "anti-vaxxers."

Then they claimed credit for the initial success of the Trump vaccinations.

The Pfizer corporation had promised a major pre-election announcement about its likely rollout of a vaccine in October, just days before the 2020 election.

Then, mysteriously, Pfizer claimed the vaccine, in fact, would not be ready before Nov. 3. A few days after the election of Joe Biden, the company reversed course and announced the vaccinations would soon be available.

Various celebrities and politicos — such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton — boasted the pandemic lockdown offered the perfect crisis that must not go to waste politically. Actress Jane Fonda even crowed that COVID-19 was "God's gift to the left" in helping to end Donald Trump.

In the waning days of the 2022 campaign, Biden went so far as to blame Trump personally for all the deaths from the virus.

We are suddenly told that thousands had died "with" rather than "because" of COVID — the exact opposite of what we heard in the Trump era.

Politicizing the pandemic is a euphemism. In truth, thousands of Americans have died needlessly because of weaponized disinformation about China's culpability, vaccines, useful drugs, lockdowns, racial preferences and long-term-care facilities.

Medical practice is now pushing toward rank racism in the name of 'anti-racism'

The entire US health establishment, so deeply entwined with ultraprogressive academia, has utterly embraced the lunatic "anti-racism" approach of the trendy left.

The pretext for rationing health resources according to race is that it's a proxy for various underlying conditions. That is, for example, blacks are more likely to be obese than whites. But the correct approach is simply to prioritize scarce treatments for the obese of all races — not to put the overweight black ahead of the too-hefty white.

As for the much-quieter excuse for this practice: Even if blacks as a class today suffer from worse health than whites because of past discrimination, that has nothing to do with any particular individual, and rank racial discrimination (even in the name of fairness) remains perverse and un-American.

New York's state Health Department lists "non-white race or Hispanic/Latino ethnicity" as supposedly leading to "an increased risk of severe illness and death from COVID-19," and thus priority for scarce treatments.

Until the public and politicians start making noise about how pernicious this is, the whole country will soon be rushing down that slope.

Jan 6 — 8 Times Left-Wing Protesters Broke Into Government Buildings And Assaulted Democracy

Left-wing demonstrators have long made a habit of attacking, infiltrating, and occupying government buildings. It started long before Jan. 6, 2021, and continued long after.

Self-absorbed congressional Democrats held a group therapy session on Capitol Hill on Thursday as they work tirelessly to immortalize Jan. 6 as an annual day of doom, but the rest of us are old enough to remember a few more times when riots and protests overwhelmed government buildings with no such theatrical response.

More than a few times, actually. The 2020 summer of rage was more or less "incited" by these same top Democrats, who race-baited as if their lives depended on it, and even our vice president, who helped bail violent rioters out of jail. It featured a number of these attacks on the government (which strangely weren't called attacks on democracy at the time).

1. Interior Department Overtaken

On Oct. 14, 2021, climate activists breached the Interior Department, with demonstrators who were left outside struggling with law enforcement officers as they reportedly tried to force their way in, shouting "Go inside! Go inside!" Some activists vandalized a building, while others pinned police against a wall. The ordeal resulted in a number of injuries, according to multiple sources, with a police officer being transported to the hospital.

2. President Moved to Bunker After White House Fence Breach

In June 2020, then-President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and their son Barron were reportedly rushed to a secure bunker when a group of protesters breached temporary barricades that had been set up around the White House complex.

3. Wisconsin Capitol Overwhelmed

In 2011, thousands of people opposed to Republican Gov. Scott Walker filled the Wisconsin state Capitol, screaming in opposition to the governor's budget repair bill.

4. Portland Federal Courthouse Overtaken by Violence

The federal courthouse in Portland has been a repeated target of violent Antifa rioters. In July 2020, a mob began setting fires inside the fence protecting the courthouse, shaking the fence, launching projectiles over it, and even trying to take it down. Several people even breached it, with rioters launching projectiles and flashing lasers at the federal police officers who responded.

5. Democracy Halted at the Texas Capitol

In July 2013, an unruly mob of pro-abortion demonstrators interfered with the democratic process when thousands of them occupied the Texas Capitol and screamed at the top of their lungs, "grinding the Senate to a halt" with the noise.

6. SCOTUS Police Lines Breached, Senate Overwhelmed by Anti-Kavanaugh Activists

During the dustup over now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh's nomination and confirmation to the Supreme Court, which was radically amplified thanks to the Christine Blasey Ford circus, demonstrators forced their way past law enforcement, breaching police lines at both the Senate and the Supreme Court, where they stormed the steps and beat on the doors.

7. Senate Bombed by Left-Wing Terrorists

Linda Evans and Susan Rosenberg, two left-wing extremists, along with five others planted a bomb outside the Senate chamber inside the U.S. Capitol, where it detonated and caused $1 million in damage in 1983.

Every year, people resolve to do things that are better for their health — quitting alcohol, processed food, toxic relationships. I have come to the realization that my relationship with YouTube is dysfunctional.

Sure, I can get millions of views. But why should I allow anonymous "fact-checkers" to censor my fully sourced, fact-based content? They don't want to challenge or debate me with opposing views, they just want my silence.

So today, I announce that I will begin an exodus from Big Tech. I will no longer post videos on YouTube unless it is to criticize them or announce that viewers can see my content on rumble.com.

Why begin with YouTube? Because they're the worst censors.

A hallmark of the scientific method is to challenge and disprove a hypothesis. Yet we have abandoned science and rational debate for an almost religious adherence to the edicts of government bureaucrats like Anthony Fauci. To challenge the data is to be a "denier" or "conspiracist" who must be silenced.

The gall to delete constitutionally protected speech! It is indeed ironic that the censors likely think of themselves as progressive but their actions are more suggestive of the diktats of the Medieval church. Think about it. In the U.S. in 2021, you are being told there are ideas or opinions that are too "dangerous" for you to see. It is "disinformation" they admonish, so if you want to stay on their platforms you must conform to their approved opinions.

Matt Taibbi captures this illiberal desire to censor: "The traditional liberal approach to the search for truth, which stresses skepticism and free-flowing debate, is giving way to a reactionary movement that Plato himself would have loved, one that believes knowledge is too dangerous for the rabble and must be tightly regulated by a priesthood of 'experts.'"

Of course, Big Tech has the legal right to censor content. I've never argued otherwise. While obnoxious, arrogant, and closed-minded, the CEO of Twitter is correct: The first amendment applies to the government, not to private business.

But just because private censorship of speech is allowable under the law, that doesn't make that censorship any less despicable or illiberal. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram are the new town square, and opposing viewpoints are being silenced by the BigTech gatekeepers.

Those of us who believe that truth comes from disputation and that the marketplace of ideas is a prerequisite for innovation should shun the close-minded censors of Big Tech and take our ideas elsewhere.

Zuckerbucks Shouldn’t Pay for Elections

More than a year after 2020 elections, we're still getting information about the huge private money that underwrote official government voting efforts in 49 states. Much is still unknown, but lawmakers already know enough to ban this practice.

A nonprofit called the Center for Technology and Civic Life, or CTCL, funded by Mark Zuckerberg, says it gave $350 million to nearly 2,500 election departments in the course of the 2020 campaign. Last month it posted its 990 tax form for the period, with 199 pages listing grants to support the "safe administration" of voting amid Covid-19. Some conservatives see this largess of "Zuckerbucks" as a clever plot to help Democrats win.

CTCL "consistently gave bigger grants and more money per capita to counties that voted for Biden, " says an analysis by the Capital Research Center. Its tally for Georgia, to pick one state, shows average grants of $1.41 per head in Trump areas and $5.33 in Biden ones. A conservative group in Wisconsin suggests that extra voter outreach funded by CTCL could have boosted Mr. Biden's turnout there by something like 8,000 votes. It isn't hard to see why they're concerned.

There are good questions about how CTCL spent money, and if Republicans take the House this year, maybe they'll ask. Yet even under the purest motives, private election funding is inappropriate and sows distrust. This is evident in Green Bay, Wis., which received $1,245,706, plus nonfinancial help from CTCL partners.

One was Michael Spitzer-Rubenstein, a fellow with the National Vote at Home Institute, who became awfully cozy in Green Bay. In one email he offered assistance with follow-up on rejected mail votes, saying "curing ballots might be something we could take off your plate."

Other emails show him helping to plan the layout and staffing of the ballot-counting center. On Election Day he was inside that room, at one point with a tag marked "City Employee."

Among the "advisory services" that CTCL made available to Green Bay, one consultant was from the Brennan Center, a highly ideological outfit that supports Democratic legal and election causes. What if conservatives underwrote "voter outreach" by town clerks, while sending in experts from the Heritage Foundation?

This isn't how elections should be run, especially in the current era of partisan mistrust.

New York on life-saving COVID treatments: white people need not apply

"Monoclonal Antibody Treatments Save Lives," announced the New York City Department of Health in an October 26 public notice. The policy then states that anyone who is non-white — regardless of age, health or underlying medical conditions — is automatically deemed to have met the requirement that one must have "a medical condition or other factors that increase their risk for severe illness" in order to receive this treatment ("Non-white race or Hispanic/Latino ethnicity should be considered a risk factor.").

The rationale for using race to determine who is and is not eligible for life-saving COVID treatments is dubious in the extreme, to put it generously. The priority scheme directs that race be used as a critical metric: "non-white race or Hispanic/Latino ethnicity should be considered a risk factor, as longstanding systemic health and social inequities have contributed to an increased risk of severe illness and death from COVID-19."

To justify this race-based priority scheme, the New York State memos rely on and cite two separate documents from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

Back in May, a federal appeals court struck down the Biden administration's racial preferences embedded in its COVID relief fund for small businesses, noting the unconstitutional irrationality and inequality of treating similarly situated citizens differently based on their race.

The Conformity Crackup of 2021

The year 2021 that ends this week wasn't the return to normalcy that President Biden promised, but it was invaluable in one respect. This was the year when the conformity that characterizes American politics and media was exposed for its mistakes as never before.

By conformity we mean the progressive political and media consensus that forms quickly around an issue and then reinforces itself no matter the competing arguments or new information. This isn't a conspiracy in any formal sense; there are no organized calls or Zoom meetings.

This is about a shared set of political values and preferences that leads people to reach the same conclusions about an event. The reporters and commentators of the major progressive media—the Washington Post, Bloomberg, the Financial Times, the New York Times, the Atlantic, and more—all then reinforce what they now like to call the "narrative" of a story.

Politicians and the press feed the narrative with leaks and the stories they pursue—or, as important, what they don't pursue. Disagreement is rare to nonexistent because the cost can be ostracism or lost careers.

Recall how James Bennet lost his job as New York Times opinion editor for running an op-ed by GOP Sen. Tom Cotton on using the military to control urban riots. Mr. Bennet thought he was merely exposing readers to a different point of view. He was banished for challenging the progressive narrative after George Floyd's murder.

Only when it is exposed over time as false does the conformity break, and typically only if there are negative political consequences for Democrats. The saving grace is that sometimes reality is impossible to ignore, and 2021 was the year this happened on some of the biggest events of our time. It's worth recounting a few examples to see how the dominant consensus was wrong about so much for so long.

• The Wuhan Virology Lab origin theory of Covid-19. In the early days of the pandemic, even raising this as a possibility was taboo. Sen. Cotton was vilified for doing so. The Lancet, a supposedly open-minded scientific journal, published a letter in February 2020 "to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin."

This year we learned that the Lancet letter was part of a coordinated effort to quash the lab theory. We learned about the conflicts of interest of Anthony Fauci and others who provided funding for the Wuhan lab. Eventually even the press noticed that China had blocked an honest inquiry, and that no evidence for a natural origin has emerged.

• Lockdowns stop Covid-19. There was no fiercer consensus in the early days of the virus than the belief that locking down the economy to stop the virus was an unadulterated social good. We felt the consensus wrath when we raised doubts, in an editorial on March 20, 2020, about the harm that lockdowns would do to the economy and public health.

Two years later we now know that lockdowns at most delay the virus spread. The damage in lost education for children, lost livelihoods for workers and employers, and damage to mental health is obvious for all to see. Even Randi Weingarten, the teachers union chief who did so much to keep schools closed, now claims she wanted to keep them open all along.

• The supply side of the economy doesn't matter. The Keynesian consensus, which dominates the U.S. and European media, has long held that the demand for goods and services drives the economy. The ability or incentive to supply those goods is largely ignored or dismissed. Spurring demand was the theory behind the trillions of dollars in spending by Congress and easy money from the Federal Reserve.

All that money did spur demand. But the Keynesians ignored the disincentives to increase supply from paying people not to work and restricting work with lockdowns and mandates. The result was the surging inflation that caught nearly all of them by surprise. Their demand-side models never saw it coming.

• The Steele dossier and Russia collusion narrative. In 2019 the Mueller report exposed the lack of evidence for the claims that Donald Trump and the Kremlin were in cahoots. This year the indictments by special counsel John Durham have revealed how Democrats and the press worked together to promote the dossier that was based on disinformation.

Yet for four years nearly everyone in the dominant media bought the collusion narrative. One or two of the gullible have apologized, but most want everyone to forget what they wrote or said at the time.

• Vilifying police won't affect crime. The fast-congealing consensus after George Floyd's murder was that most police were racist, as was most of American society, and violent protests against this were justified—even admirable. Woe to anyone who pointed out that the victims of these riots and crime were mostly poor and minority communities.

Police funding was cut and bail laws eased in many cities. Eighteen months later we see the result in rising crime rates and a soaring murder count. A political backlash now has even many Democrats claiming they really do want more funding for police.

We could go on—who can forget the knee-jerk solidarity with fabulist Jussie Smollett? But you get the idea. The reason so many Americans don't trust the media is because they've learned from hard experience that the consensus they are told is unassailable truth will often turn out to be false.

The airbrushed feet of clay — Desmond Tutu antisemitism coverup

The revelations that have surfaced in a small number of outlets about the profound antisemitism of Archbishop Desmond Tutu have come as an unpleasant shock for a number of people who have read them. For many have had absolutely no knowledge of this whatsoever.

It's not merely that Tutu demonised Israel with libellous falsehoods. Worse still, he explicitly and repeatedly demonised the Jewish people. His occasional claims that he identified with the Jews and his acknowledgement that they had been allies in the great fight against South African apartheid generally morphed into his grotesque and incomprehensible accusation that the Jews of Israel had done to the Palestinian Arabs what the apartheid regime had done to the black population of South Africa.

He has attacked the "Jewish" – not Israeli – "lobby" as too "powerful" and "scary." He has invoked classic anti-Semitic stereotypes and tropes about Jewish "arrogance", "power" and "money." He has characterized Jews a "peculiar people," and has accused "the Jews" of causing many of the world's problems. He once even accused the Jewish state of acting in an "unChristian" manner.

And yet, after his death CNN called him "the voice of justice;" the Associated Press said he was a "moral conscience;" the UN Secretary-General António Guterres said he was "a towering global figure for peace and inspiration to generations across the world;" the Economist said he was "the best kind of troublemaker;" and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, called him "a healer and apostle of peace".

Even in death, his bigotry against Jews must be recounted and considered in any honest reckoning of his decidedly mixed legacy, and in any decision whether to honor him with statues or other forms of canonization, especially at a time of increasing antisemitism throughout the world.
