• Site Point Forums - A great forum one which I read weekly, full of excellent information not only for Internet marketing but all aspects of the Internet.
• Webmaster Forums - Another great Internet Marketing forum worth looking at.
• Submit Express Forums - A small yet useful forum to take a look at.
• Site Owners Forum - Take a look at this place, a great resource for site owners.
• Small Business Forums - A good resource for anyone related to Business both online and offline it also features a good SEO section.
• SEO Refugee - An up and coming forum with a good member count, not the most active yet a good range of members.
• Business Forum - Focusing more on business as a whole, instead of just Internet marketing this forum has a large range of information.

21 Internet Marketing Forums to Browse

Google’s new tool belt as they like to call it offers all sorts of functions as I discussed here however one function that I want to talk about in a little more depth is the ability to see keywords related to your initial search word and the ability to click through to other relevant keywords and have the search results appear for these too.

The search option allows you to search for related keywords and delve in as deep as you can do to find other keywords which are generally smaller, less competitive keywords ideal for those who are performing keyword research looking for that golden keyword.

Now of course I don’t think this is going to revolutionise the keyword research process however it does have an appeal. The simple yet effective spider diagram aesthetics and the automatic search function when clicking on a relevant keyword does make things much easier.

Google’s new Wonder Wheel for Keyword Research

The seventh part of the Bullet Proof Blogging series takes a look at a range of useful websites that you have to register on in order to maximise your success being an Internet Marketer. The article will go through a range of different websites from social media sites to website statisitic websites and SEO websites.

• Google Analytics - If your a statistic addict then this is a must have. If you are a blogger or know that you could grow your success with useful information about your website and visitors then Google analytics is a must have.
• Google Webmaster Tools - So let’s get the Google websites  out of the way. Google webmaster tools is like an angel for us Internet marketers. This selection of tools can help keep track of your link building campaign, keyword rankings and more in depth analysis such as your crawl rate and geographical location for your website.
• Ping.fm - If your interested in boosting traffic to your website through social media websites then by using Ping.fm you can. The initial stage of registering to Ping.fm and the websites surrounding Ping.fm is a little repetitive however after this has been done, the world is your oyster so to speak. You will be registered to 20 upwards social media websites which with one click of a button on Ping.fm will be pinged with an update which I assume you will add your websites URL too.
• Niche Junky - A new affiliate marketing website built by my good friend at Niche Choppers Forum. Niche Junky is a Clickbank statistics tool which tracks day to day recordings of products from Clickbank (an Affiliate marketing website). This website is aesthetically pleasing and very useful for anyone in the affiliate marketing realm.
• Twitter - Although I don’t use this daily myself, if you have the time and want to grow your social network then Twitter is definitely the way forward or at least the hype at the moment. With Twitter you can network with thousands of people interested in the same things as yourself. If your a blogger or depend on networking for clients (perhaps freelance writer) then using Twitter can boost your success rate.
• Register to at least one Internet Marketing Forum - Now I decided not to link to just the one forum because obviously there are a few to pick from however these are some of the  top picks. Firstly there is Digital Point, great for beginners of Internet marketing however if your a little more advanced you may get annoyed by the constant nooblet questions which become very repetitive. Secondly Warrior Forums a little more advanced and I think the general member is more experienced than at Digital Point. Both of these forums have the same type of catergories and you can find the same type of information from both of these forums. Thirdly if your more interested in Affiliate marketing then Niche Choppers is definitely the top pick. Niche Choppers has everything that the other two forums incorporate but targets a more affiliate marketer type of audience.
• Free Traffic System - If you want to boost your search engine rankings and increase your traffic then building backlinks is one of the best ways to do so. With the free traffic system you can boost the amount of links you have by submitting an article to 30 other blogs and article directories in a matter of minutes.
• Ezine Articles - If your interested in free advertising and you can churn out articles in a matter of minutes then Article marketing may be the way forward for you. Sign up to Ezine articles and promote your website through a relevant article.
• Sphinn an Internet Marketers dream. If you know your articles are quality and that everyone should read them then maximise your publicity by submitting these articles to Sphinn a social media site for Internet Marketing.
• Register to several other Social media websites such as Stumbleupon, Digg, Delicious and Reddit. Target your readers through other social media networks and lure them in to your website by advertising the latest articles or use incentives.
• Google Adsense - A great way of making money blogging when you first start however after you reach a certain level you may opt for a more professional looking pay per click program or even opt to start using different tactics such as affiliate marketing.
• Clickbank - Once your blog has become established you may find it more effective to use Clickbank and other relevant affiliate marketing websites such as Commission junction to monetize your blog.
• Aweber - An essential part of establishing any blog means that you should start collecting an E-mail list from day one. A great effective E-mail newsletter program is Aweber, the most popular E-mail marketing program on the Internet.
• Feedburner - Offering slightly more restricted features if you don’t fancy paying $19.99 a month upwards to collect E-mail subscribers then use Google’s Feedburner. Free and easy to use, if you already have Aweber implement them both in to your Blog.
• Sign up for a Keyword Research account, such as Wordze or Wordtracker. Having one of these accounts will make your keyword research much more effective and less time consuming.
• TubeMogul - If Video Marketing is your thing then perhaps try out Tube Mogul, this allows you to easily submit your video to several of the top Video broadcasting websites, such as Youtube and Metacafe.
• Paid Article Marketing - If you have some money to invest in to an Article Submission software then you may want to try UAW, Article Marketer or Article Automation. In the next month or two I will be using each of these services and posting my feedback, I am currently using UAW and recommend this.
• SEO Software - If your looking for relevant traffic that will convert then search engine optimisation maybe your best option. You have several options when it comes to SEO software and they all offer good features, you can take a look at this post  for more detail on SEO software.
• Yahoo Answers - If you want to promote your website then Yahoo answers is a pretty good place to do so. Obviously it depends on what your website is relevant to but if your trying to sell a health product or you help people out on your website then this maybe the perfect place for you.
• Onlywire - Bookmarking submission tool. If you want to index your pages quickly, build links quickly then this maybe a good option for you. Onlywire allows you to social bookmark a website from the click of a button or five, still its worth taking a look at.
• Reel SEO - If your looking for SEO information but you don’t want to read it, perhaps you want to chill out in bed instead then check out Reel SEO a great resource for Internet marketing videos.

Google has introduced their new search options known as the tool belt to all Google search engine users, you will be able to play with these new features by looking to the top left of the search results page when using the search engine.

What are the Tool Belts uses?

• Slice and dice results to generate more relevant, more personal results.
• The ability to view more information regarding each result such as images.

This is all apart of Google’s focus on making the Google search engine more personalised.

Google’s new search options enables you to see specific results relevant to a specific time using the timeline feature. You can also look for certain types of results such as reviews of products, videos and forum discussions regarding your keyword search. Overall the Google toolbelt enables users to make their search more personalised and more relevant. The tool belt is useful for several type of people whether you are looking for reviews, reports or information for assignments or entertainment through videos.

The effects of the Google Toolbelt on SEO?

It is difficult to say exactly what the effects of the new toolbelt are going to be on search engine optimisation however I can safely say that Google traffic is going to become a little more diverse now with these new options available.

I believe search engine optimisation is going to become far more complex and it is now even more obvious that Google is trying to become more diverse with the options available to its users with the push of Video and more imagery.

I think if you want to help increase your reputation within the Google search engine then you are going to have to “get with the times” so to speak. In Google’s case this means add more video, images and content to your website and give users more options.

Overall it is obvious that Google is planning big things for their search engine and they are focusing more on relevant, personalised results which means less spam and less scam, exactly what Google wants.

Top 30 Internet Marketing Articles of April

This is the first of many articles to come in the new Affiliate marketing section of my Internet marketing blog and I thought I would start with the basics for those who are not familiar with what affiliate marketing is.

Affiliate marketing is an internet marketing process where by a person will promote and advertise a certain product or service in order for them to make a sale which they will then be paid a commission for. The affiliate markerter will be paid a commission per product that they sell and depending on whether this is done directly with the company or through an affiliate marketing company such as Clickbank they will then receive this commission.

What is Commission?

Commission is a monetary reward that companies give to sellers or advertisers of their product or service. As affiliate marketing is mainly an internet based process you will generally find that many affiliate products will offer a 50-70% commission on each product that they sell, this is definitely the case with Clickbank.

However other companies such as Amazon associates offer a much lower commission currently about 2.5%-5% however they not only offer commission on the product that you have directed them to but also for any other products they purchase whilst making that transaction.

The Four Core Players of Affiliate Marketing

Publisher

The publisher is the person or company who have created the product that you have chose to promote. These are the people who ask for affiliate marketers and are the ones who set the commission price and deal with the customer after you have successfully directed the customer to their sales page. If you ever need help with promoting a product or if you have a problem with a product I definitely advise you to contact the publisher of the product promptly as they are generally quite helpful. If your interested in promoting a product and you want to review the product first it is always a good idea to ask the publisher for a review copy, not all publishers offer a review copy however its always worth a try.

Network

The network is the company/website which advertises the affiliate products to potential affiliate marketers an example of this is Clickbank as I have mentioned previously.

Clickbank offer free registeration to affiliates and allow you to browse through the thousands of products available to promote. If you find a product you want to promote then you are given a unique html link for you to then promote with, you can track your progress through Clickbanks own tracking system.

Another example of a network is Commission Junction I have used them several times however never been as successfull as I have been with Clickbank.

Affiliate

The Affiliate is the person who decides to promote the publisher’s product after browsing on the network website to find a product that they are interested in. The affiliate can also be referred to as the merchant however they both promote and advertise products for a commission.

Consumer

As you probably know the consumer is the person who purchased the product the affiliate decided to promote. The consumer/customer will purchase the product through the  affiliate’s website using their unique link and then the affiliate will receive a commission from the network and the publisher.

Affiliate marketing is pay for performance, where the publisher only pays for the performance that their affiliates create through their marketing techniques.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Following on from my previous article where I talked about blogging for money and why I said it was a bad idea I thought I would try and find out why you decided to start blogging. In the previous article I also talked about why I started blogging and I would like to touch up on that subject again here.

Why do I blog?

I started blogging to learn about Internet marketing as I believe that there is no better way to learn about a subject than to involve it in to your everyday life. In this case I started a blog on Internet marketing (this one) and started to learn about Internet marketing for two reasons. One so I could write posts and educate others on what Internet marketing is and how you can do it and the second being so I could promote my blog and build my blog in to a large well established blog.

However I reached a certain point in my blogging career where I had learnt a large percentage of the information available on Internet marketing and found myself not learning as much but instead teaching others. Looking back it was kind of obvious that this would happen at one stage considering the amount of information I would digest each day.

So now the reasons why I blog have changed.

Although I don’t blog to learn about Internet marketing any more I do blog to teach others about Internet marketing and I would say that was my main focus when blogging currently. However other reasons for blogging have also become clear. I do try and make an income from blogging however as I have mentioned before this can be much more difficult than one first considers. I also have strict boundaries on what I promote on this blog and how I promote on this blog because I don’t want you, my readers to think that I am just writing articles to make money rather than to actually teach you how to promote your websites more effectively. Another reason I blog is to network, to be able to communicate with other bloggers and Internet marketers so that I can learn from them and hopefully they can learn from me.

Enough about me though, I am very keen to know more about the reasons why my readers decided to blog. Please comment below and tell me and everyone else why you started to blog and whether your reasons for blogging have changed over the duration from when you first started blogging.
