It seems like everyone is on the case of blog commenting, and more and more people dislike it every time you see a blog post

It seems like everyone is on the case of blog commenting, and more and more people dislike it every time you see a blog post about it. There are a lot of blogs that have become no follow with their comment URL’s etc. and people rarely see any benefit whatsoever for their link adding on comments. Here are a few ways to buck the trends, and use blog comments as a real source of traffic

Use blog comments to link to your Reddit posts
Reddit gets tons of worthwhile traffic. You can see massive surges of traffic in a very short space of time, and by including a link to your Reddit post (which links to your website), you are looking at channelling lots of traffic in the long run

Link to your Youtube videos
Youtube is a major player when it comes to multimedia online, and they are everywhere. You can capitalise on this fact by adding Youtube links to comments, which WILL get clicks, and eventually traffic to your site

Link to your Social items
If you have bookmarked your website, or if you have written a short piece about it on Digg, then you should consider linking the blog comments to them. Whilst people tend to ignore links to people’s sites on blog comments, they very rarely overlook the big names like Digg or Propeller for example

Link to your Facebook profile
Whilst this is just a recent tactic, linking your Facebook profile on blog comments is quite possible. You can state that you saw a pretty good link on a Facebook profile, and as with the big names above, they will be clicking through to Facebook to see who is getting the publicity,

Structuring your blog post correctly is a good idea, and it is very apparent that Google likes to see this happening with your H1, H2

Structuring your blog post correctly is a good idea, and it is very apparent that Google likes to see this happening with your H1, H2 and H3 tags. It is often recommended that you include your keyword in bold, include it in your H1, H2 and H3 tags, and always in your blog title. What most people forget, is that you need inbound links on your page, together with a outbound links that are present on the same page as the rest of your SEO. By structuring a page in this way, Google sees the site as an authority, that is not adverse to allowing some traffic to exit on external links. This builds your trustrank with Google, and coupled with the other vital SEO steps, you can see your page ranking pretty quickly.

One of the main recommendations for a webpage, is that you keep your keyword density at around 3% to 4%. This enables the search engines to see that you are relevant to the search terms people are entering into their search bars, and that you know what you are talking about. Having a high keyword density will often work against you. The days are gone now when a person could keyword stuff a page, in the same font colour as the background, and get away with a page one ranking for absoloute rubbish content.

The on page SEO you develop for your pages will be crucial to your overall site’s success in the searches. You will begin ranking for long tail search terms first, and then the keywords and keyphrases will get shorter and shorter, as Google lends more weight to your ranking profile. After around three weeks, you will see the result of any on page SEO, as long as you have been building constant, steady off-page links to your site.

If you never sat and thought about the most important factor of SEO on a page, then allow this article to help. The first thing

If you never sat and thought about the most important factor of SEO on a page, then allow this article to help. The first thing you see on Google search results, is a big list of blue links point to websites, and each one of those links speak to possible visitors. So you should make every effort to perfect the art of title-craft.

Numbers and grab words

Many people will forget a lot of SEO rules, but titles truly are make or break for an article and it’s home. The main thing you should concentrate on, is being different from other titles. This has been done two-fold in the article you are reading now. Instead of the number two being written as “two”, it has been done as a number. This is due to humans picking out numbers better than letters in a block of text. We are used to seeing ordered lists, number 1, 2, 3 etc. and we learn from an early age to look for patterns like this. Our brains hunt for numbers whilst we are unaware of it.

As well as a number being used in the title, you will see that there is an element of humour in there, by suggesting your titles suck. Of course, no harm is meant by this, and the title is seriously ambiguous. However, the sentence works to grab the reader, and the second effect is complete.

Keep it compact

When a reader sees your title, they will often be looking for the shortcut that takes them from search to result. You need to tell them that your article is short, compact, and has everything they need (including solving their problem – whatever it may be). This is why lists are important. If you tell people there are just two ways to fix their titles, they are interested. This is how you can ensure they don’t click the back button once they see a big block of text. They just want short and punchy results.

If you have had problems finding a good product, do not worry, you are not alone. When you first enter the internet marketing arena, there’s a plethora of options. On Clickbank, it would take many months for you to go through each one, and try to decide the best one for you, and your knowledge. In actual fact, Frank Kern’s cousin, Trey Smith performed a very cool experiment where he tried 12,000 products on Clickbank, and found 54 were profitable. Further products turned out to be profitable later one… but that number could strike fear into the heart of the new marketer. In fact, what you don’t know, is Trey used PPV (Pay Per View) traffic, which can often be awesome at sending traffic to offers – but can also fall flat on it’s face. If you used Adwords for 12,000 Clickbank products, what could happen (aside from you bankrupting yourself overnight)? All you need to do is find the right product, and use ONE traffic source, until you are comfortable in other traffic generating methods. If you use Youtube to site methods, then this can work fine. So can Adwords, forum traffic, and many other ways… but what product do you choose?

Often, you will see a product appear out of nowhere, and become mega popular overnight. By the time you jump on it, the super-Gurus out there are already taking up the top 10 on Google. So if you want to get ahead, you need to be informed when a product is going to be released, rather than seeing it go live and panicking.

All you need to do is look for JV (joint venture) notification websites. These let marketers know that a product is going to be released, and JV’s are available. One site which will help, is JV Notify. You can get great info here as to when big marketers are releasing their new products, and it can give you a vital heads up when it comes to picking great products.

There is no crime in pretending to be someone else. Everybody in the industry who writes regularly will no doubt have a pen name or pseudonym, and they will use it to explore other markets, ask questions or simply stay anonymous. This is by far the best thing about the internet – the anonymity. People will often forget that you do not have to limit to just asking questions on a forum or writing articles. You can actually create a whole new person with a real presence online.

To use this type of marketing to your best advantage, all you need is a blog, and a product – preferably your own product. If you are creating your own product, and are marketing it using this method, include a chapter in the end of the book that tells the buyer or reader to start a journal blog. When you list this product for sale, or first begin marketing it, you should create the blog, and post real photographs. Of course, it would be better to use pictures of a family member or a friend you can trust. After you have done this, ensure all your pseudo accounts with internet marketing forums and blogs etc. get the link to the blog in their profile signature, and that you inform people on said blogs/forums that you are following a method that you hope will earn you a great income, and will be updating every day. People interested in your product who are on the fence will follow the blog closely and subscribe. This is a great thing.

Once the blog is up, set about listing accounts that have a zero balance, like Adsense or Clickbank, or whatever way you are using to monetize. These will need to be accounts set up in your friend or family member’s name, or a secondary account if allowed. The names will always be blurred on the accounts anyway, so it does not matter.

The only thing that does matter is your honesty and integrity, so do not fake any results in this process. Simply post every single day with what you have done in the method you are using, and what has happened in your accounts. Try not to give away any major details.

Remember you suggested that each buyer start their own blog like the above? Well, once people have seen one person doing so, they will no doubt do the same. It is important to note that the site you create MUST have an affiliate link or buy link, so you can earn from it! Also, if it is your own ebook -, get yourself an affiliate account so that others can sell your product. The people creating blogs and journals will then be making you money with their own personal experience.

Created by internet marketing specialist Michael Campbell, Jigglingtheweb.com provides a free and simple method to getting your websites ranked very quickly, or at least indexed. To get the search engine spiders to crawl your website, and start to rank it based on popularity and relevancy, you must give it a nudge in the right direction, and make sure the search engines know your web page has been updated in the first place.

Jiggling the web is a concept that is reproduced in many manuals and ebooks, and it is a very simple procedure that anyone can learn, coming complete with a set of advanced tricks that you can learn at your own pace. To start with, it is much easier if you have WordPress, as most of the tips and tricks are available as plugins.

Once you are ready to start posting some content to your website, simply take a snippet of this text, and post it on social sites like Digg, Propeller and Reddit. These sites are all about news and events. They are constantly updated in Google’s cache. Once these go live, you need to bookmark them using StumbleUpoon, Mr.Wong, Google Bookmarks etc. Less is more. You only need to use up to four of the top bookmarking sites. It’s also a little academic getting a bookmarking tool to do it, as you can be done in just a few minutes yourself. Once you have done the above, it is time to ping the RSS feed using a reliable service like Pingomatic. You only need to ping a couple, as Google will pick the rest up naturally.

Surprisingly, it is not much more difficult than that. This will ensure you are getting indexed very quickly. So if you have a blog that keeps up to date with hot topics or news, your site will be among the fastest that are indexed, bringing great rankings.

Continuing with our rundown of the best SEO plugins for WordPress, we have the following:-

Headspace 2

Headspace 2 is by far one of the most powerful plugins on the market, and is – unbelievably – 100% free. This plugin will allow a blogger to control the meta information and take care of lots of SEO jobs right there in the plugin settings, globally across the site. When you want an all in one solution, this plugin delivers, by giving you the opportunity to edit tags, titles for the post and page, and descriptions – which can be a serious asset in the search engine rankings.

SEO Post Links

SEO Post Links is a very overlooked plugin, because it is not a fancy bells and whistles plugin. It sits quite happily making your post slugs (the last part of the URL that you see in the address bar) search engine friendly. Unlike other plugins, it does not just take out all the small words like a, in, on etc. – it takes out all the words which are not on your keyword list. So if your website’s keywords were dog bedding, bedding for dogs, large dog beds etc. and you posted an article with the title “Where to find large dog beds online”, the URL would not appear like this to Google and friends. They would only see www.yourdomain.com/large-dog-beds.

Whilst a lot has been written about the lesser scsore given to reciprocal links in the SERPs, nobody can deny that it adds weight to your site. This plugin has a very clever little page set just for webmasters who would like to add their link on your site. Instead of leaving it at that, it then requests that the webmaster provide a reciprocal link on their website, linking back to yours. Once they provide the reciprocal link, their link goes live.

There are many great SEO plugins for WordPress, which will save you time, and also ensure your site gets ranked for the keywords you are chasing. If you worry about duplicate content, ALT tags, H1 tags and your titles, then you need to arm your blog with some SEO plugins that will help you do your job quicker and smoother.

SEO Friendly Images – Images do not just form the foundations of a good blog post, they are capable of delivering visitors to your page without you having to do hardly anything for SEO. SEO Friendly Images enables you to create a post with images that have correct ALT and Title tags, which are the essence of image SEO.

Sitemap Generator – Publishing a blog without a Sitemap is a little like going to work without your shoes on. It isn’t right, and will eventually have you cursing. Sitemaps form the basis of a blog or website, and allow humans and robots alike to crawl your pages with ease. This plugin allows you to have more than just the title of a blog post appear in the sitemap, as you can customize at will what should appear, in terms of permalinks and descriptions etc.

Automatic SEO Links – If you have certain keywords or words that you are forever linking internally or externally, then this plugin will help tremendously. Once you set up your keywords, the plugin will automatically set the link for you, and make it no-follow or do-follow as you require. If you have a tendency to repeat the keyword in a post, but only want the link referenced once – then you will love this plugin, as this is a key feature.

Google XML Sitemaps – No blog should be without Google’s XML Sitemap, and Google will be only too happy to feast on it once it arrives to spider your site, along with other popular search engines.

Unless you have been fast asleep, or extremely busy, then you will know all about Google Instant. This is the latest in Google’s recently released tools, and has pretty much taken the world by storm overnight. Everybody searches the internet differently, using search engines, but Google Instant could actually ensure everyone searches the same way – quicker, easier, and more accurately.

Google Instant will display results according to the words and letters you type into the search box. Every letter you type displays a different set of results – instantly (hence the name, of course). Whilst this means you can get a lot done in a day of searching the web, and people will be finding things on the internet much easier using suggested search terms (rather than typing in what they would have typed), it does mean that SEO may have changed for the marketers out there.

Google’s Sergey Brin said on stage that SEO would remain unchanged;

Q: Impact on SEO?
A: Basically it stays the same. It’s still the same results, it’s just adapting to behavior.

However, let us take the perfect example of a blogger setting up a website with the specific intention of sending traffic to a product on Amazon. The marketer finds some great keywords for a Samsung plasma TV, that have 1000 searches a month, and the commission will of course be excellent. The search term is “Samsung plasma PD45748”. Normally, this would seem like the perfect keyword, and the website would only need one sale to be profitable. In those 1000 people, most will use Google Instant, typing “Samsung plasma PD45748” and getting results flashing up below them for “cheapest Samsung plasma pd45…” etc. This means your competition is not just websites in the rankings – it is Google itself. As long as we all move with the changes, and start looking at the way Google is presenting this data, then we will be fine. We will still be able to pick a keyword, and check that it will get clicks on the top 10. The difference is, we will have to look at what Google Instant suggests as well.

Adwords can be a very good friend to a niche blogger, as long as it is used sparingly and carefully. The main problem people associate Adwords with high costs, and too much trial and error. The simple truth of the matter is that Adwords CAN be expensive for just about anyone starting out. Unless you have been in the PPC game for a while, and you have actually found the pitfalls, then you are going to make a few mistakes. Unfortunately, Google never leaves any mistake without penalty, and if you have very poor performing ads, then you will certainly see your PPC costs increase, and if your quality score is low – then this is a further contributing factor.
Some methods are so simple, they are annoying. It is annoying that you never thought of it before you read it, really. The easiest way to get a high quality score and to reduce your PPC costs with Adwords, is to have two accounts. The reason for this is quite simple, because you can use one account for testing out all your campaigns until they bear fruit. All the while, you quality score may have been diminishing, but it will be worth it. Once you start getting a high CTR then you can drop that ad, and move it to your other account. What will happen here, is your ad will be performing great right from the beginning. The second account will never have any ads that have low quality scores. Your CTR will be great and so your average CTR across your ads will be fantastic. It’s at this point that your costs for these ads will come down.
To get two accounts, you can just open an adwords account in your partner’s, parent’s or sibling’s name, or anyone else you trust, so it is not very hard to implement this little trick. Google will never care about this exploit, because they are taking money from you for a quality service to their end users.
