Sungai Ciliwung Peradaban Tertua dalam Sejarah DKI Jakarta

Tahun 2019 ini, usia Jakarta menginjak 492 tahun. Hari lahir Jakarta merujuk pada tanggal pertempuran tentara Demak pimpinan Sultan Fatahillah dengan pasukan Portugis di Pelabuhan Sunda Kelapa, tanggal 22 Juni 1527.

Fatahillah menang dalam pertempuran itu. Daerah yang berhasil dipertahankannya diberi nama baru, Jayakarta atau sekarang Jakarta.

Namun jauh sebelum pertempuran tersebut terjadi beberapa wilayah Jakarta ternyata sudah diperebutkan. Antara lain oleh kerajaan zaman Hindu-Budha juga pasca kejayaan kerajaan Mataram Islam.

Salah satu wilayah tertua awal peradaban Jakarta ialah Sungai Ciliwung. Awal peradabannya terjadi di muara sungai tersebut yang bersentuhan langsung dengan Laut Jakarta di utara.

Sejarawan sekaligus penulis buku sejarah Jakarta Jj Rizal mengatakan awal peradaban Jakarta berada di Sungai Ciliwung, sekitar 5.000 tahun yang lalu. Jakarta yang kini menuju kota megapolitan berawal dari sebuah bandar atau pelabuhan kecil di muara Sungai Ciliwung pada jaman kerajaan Hindu-Tarumanagara pada abad kelima Masehi.

"Ya, sepanjang daerah aliran Ciliwung itu tempat tertua, ditemukan banyak peninggalan pra sejarah," tuturnya saat dihubungi KompasTravel, Kamis (21/6/2018).

Sejarah Jakarta yang kini disematkan sebagai hari kelahirannya yaitu 22 Juni 1527, berdasarkan bukti otentik Prasasti Tugu, yang masih bisa dilihat di Museum Nasional.

Namun, menurutnya prasasti tersebut baru ada di masa sejarah, sedangkan banyak peninggalan di aliran Ciliwung yang sudah ada sejak zaman prasejarah.

"Ga ada prasasti di aliran Ciliwung sebab itu zaman prasejarah. Bukti yang paling banyak adalah penemuan kapak perimbas di sepanjang Ciliwung," tuturnya.

Namun jika ditelusuri, aliran Sungai Ciliwung kini sudah berbeda dengan zaman prasejarah tersebut, karena sempat adanya banyak perubahan di masa kolonial Hindia Belanda.

Tepatnya pada abad 17, dibawah Gubernur Jendral Ja Pieterszoon Coen. Dalam buku Membenahi Tata Air Jabodetabek, karya AR Soehoed, kala itu Batavia mengalami kekeringan di musim kemarau, karena beban hidrolis yang tidak dapat dipikul Sungai Ciliwung.

Alhasil, Hindia Belanda mulai membuka-tutup kanal-kanal yang ada, juga membuat sodetan-sodetan aliran, memindahkan aliran, membuat tanggul-tanggul, tetapi dengan tergesa-gesa.

3. Pantai Ngrumput Gunungkidul

4. Pantai Sedahan Gunungkidul

Pantai Sedahan berada di sebelah timur Pantai Wediombo. Jadi kalau sudah dekat dengan Wediombo, kamu akan menemukan letak pantai ini. Pantai ini sering digunakan untuk area camping dan juga memancing. Tapi untuk ke sini kamu parkirnya di Pantai Wediombo dan jalan kaki menuju Pantai Sedahan. 5. Pantai Timang Gunungkidul

Sebenarnya pantai ini tidak baru, tapi ada objek baru di Pantai Timang, yaitu jembatan gantungnya. Jembatan ini bisa menjadi langganan selfie, yang menghubungan dengan batu karang besar di tengah pantanya. Jalan di jembatan ini juga butuh keberanian, terlebih jika angin yang cukup kencang. Tapi naik jembatan ini cukup mahal, yakni kamu perlu membayar Rp 100 ribu. Lokasinya di Tepus, Gunungkidul.

6. Pantai Sanglen Gunungkidul

Pantai Sanglen juga masih sepi, lho. Lokasinya ada di barat pantai Watu Kodok, Desa Kemadang, Tanjungsari. Bentangan pasir Pantai Sanglen membuat pemandangan makin indah, bahkan kamu bisa main sepak bola, voli, atau sekadar berlarian di sini.

7. Pantai Mbirit Gunungkidul

Terakhir ada Pantai Mbirit yang berada di Krambilsawit, Saptosari, Gunungkidul. Pantai juga menjadi lokasi favorit para millennials untuk selfie dengan batu-batu karang yang mempercantik tempat ini. Rencana Pasuruan Tarik Karcis Wisatawan Bromo untuk Tambah Retribusi Wisata

Retribusi tempat wisata yang masuk menjadi pendapatan asli daerah (PAD) di Kabupaten Pasuruan masih minim. Hal ini membuat Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwasata (Disbudpar) Kabupaten Pasuruan bakal menambah 1 lagi retribusi tempat wisata. Rencana akhir tahun ini mulai ditambah untuk titik lokasi masuk ke Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru (TNBTS) yang melalui Kabupaten Pasuruan.

Rencana penarikan retribusi untuk wisatawan Bromo via Tosari, Kabupaten Pasuruan, ditargetkan mulai berlaku akhir tahun ini. Setidaknya akan ada 2 pos sebagai pintu masuk sebelum memasuki kawasan TNBTS. Nantinya retribusi baru ini akan ditaruh di 2 titik yaitu di Ngadiwono, Tosari yang masuk dari arah Malang. Dan pos satunya berada di Desa Baledono, Tosari.

Agung Maryono, Kepala Disbudpar melalui Budi Shoreanto, Kabid Industri Pariwisata mengatakan bahwa selama ini retribusi dari tempat wisata memang masih sangat terbatas. Pemkab hanya mendapat dari pemandian Banyubiru dan Danau Ranu Grati. “Dari 2 lokasi wisata itupun retribusi memang tidak terlalu besar. Pertahun rata-rata kenaikannya juga sangat minim,” ungkapnya.

Budi mengatakan bahwa penambahan 2 pos ini adalah untuk menambah PAD kabupaten Pasuruan dari tiket masuk tempat wisata. Selama ini wisatawan yang masuk ke TNBTS memang belum dikenakan tiket masuk saat memasuki kawasan Kabupaten Pasuruan.

“Sehingga jika pos sudah siap dan ada penarikan karcis masuk. Nantinya wisatawan akan dikenakan retribusi dan hal ini pun juga sudah sepengetahuan dari pengelola TNBTS sendiri,” ungkapnya.

Ditambahkan Lismudayat, Kepala Bidang Pemasaran Pariwisata Disbudpar mengatakan bahwa penambahan restribusi wisata ini sesuai dengan Perbup 31 tahun 2017 mengenai petunjuk pelaksanaaan perda no 10/2010 tentang retribusi tempat rekreasi dan olah raga.

“Perbupnya baru keluarga Agustus lalu, dan targetnya paling lambat awal tahun depan retribusi baru ini sudah bisa beroperasi,” ungkapnya.

Lismudayat mengatakan bahwa untuk karcis masuk per orang wisatawan lokal dikenakan Rp 5 ribu dan wisatawan mancanegara sebesar Rp 10 ribu. Dijelaskan bahwa kawasan Tosari adalah kawasan wisata budaya Tengger yang mempunyai kekhasan.

“Selain ritual dan upacara rutin setiap tahunnya oleh masyarakat tengger, budaya sehari-hari, kegiatan ritual inilah yang menjadikan Tosari sebagai tempat wisata dan bisa dikenakan retribusi masuk,” ungkapnya kepada .

Saat ini Disbudpar masih melakukan sosialisasi, persiapan pembuatan pos dan personil di 2 pos Tosari diatas. Targetkan awal tahun 2018 mendatang retribusi ini bisa sudah beroperasi.

Tren Kunjungan Wisata Gresik Naik Wisata Bawean Harus Digarap Profesional

Kunjungan wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara di sejumlah obyek iwisata di Kabupaten Gresik cenderung mengalami kenaikan dari tahun ke tahun. Kendati masih didominasi wisata religi Makam Sunan Giri dan Maulana Malik Ibrahim, destinasi Bawean mulai ada harapan untuk dikembangkan lagi.

WISATA Bawean bakal mengalahkan Bromo dan Malang, jika Pemerintah Kabupaten Gresik menangani secara profesional. Salahsatunya melibatkan investor swasta untuk menjadikan Bawean sebagai destinasi andalan pariwisata Gresik.

Berdasarkan data yang berhasil dihimpun, sejak tahun 2011 jumlah kunjungan wisatawan di Gresik terus meningkat. Pada tahun 2015 lalu jumlah kunjungan wisatawan di Gresik sebanyak 3.107.378 orang. Sedangkan tahun 2016, jumlah kunjungan wisatawan di Gresik mengalami kenaikan hingga 3.659.000 orang.

Dari jumlah tersebut jumlah wisatawan mancanegara mencapai 4.974 orang. Sedangkan untuk wisatawan domestic jumlahnya mencapai 3.258.126 orang. Jumlah ini meningkat sebanyak 5 persen.

Kepala Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan (Disparbud) Kabupaten Gresik Migfar Syukur mengatakan tahun ini jumlah kunjungan wisatawan juga dipastikan mengalami peningkatan. Namun, pihaknya belum bisa memastikan berapa jumlah totalnya. “Nanti akhir tahun baru bisa diketahui jumlah pastinya. Yang pasti mengalami kenaikan,” ujarnya, kemarin.

Menurut dia, dari puluhan destinasi wisata yang ada di Kabupaten Gresik dua makam wali masih menjadi destinasi unggulan. Sebab, setiap bulannya Makam Sunan Giri dan Makam Maulana Malik Ibrahim dikunjungi ratusan ribu orang. “Masih menjadi primadona wisata untuk dua makam tersebut, untuk Bawean memang naik tetapi belum signifikan,” ungkap dia.

Sementara itu, Ketua Komisi II DPRD Gresik M Subki mengatakan wisatawan Bawean bakal sulit berkembang jika transportasi tidak ditingkatkan. Selain itu, pihaknya juga meminta agar anggaran pembangunan sarana dan prasarana bisa ditingkat. “Yang jelas memang masih banyak kekurangan,” katanya.

Ditambahkan, saat ini pihaknya bakal fokus membenahi transportasi menuju Bawean terlebih dahulu. Termasuk mengupayakan agar pesawat untuk tujuan Bawean bisa lebih ditingkatkan. “Kami sudah berkomunikasi dengan beberapa perusahaan penerbangan dan mereka siap untuk menambah pesawat dengan jumlah penumpang 26 orang,” terangnya.

New Generation of Chinese Drones Equipped With Anti-Tank Missiles Unveiled

Chinese drone-maker Tengoen unveiled a new series of armed reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at the 14th China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning, Guangxi Province, China.

The UAVs include two fixed-wing models and two vertical take-off and landing models (VTOLs). One platform that was demonstrated is the TB001 "Twin-Tailed Scorpion," which Tengoen claims is the first and only Chinese-made twin-engine, twin-boom unmanned aerial system (UAS) ever.

The TB001 is 33 feet long and has a wingspan of twice that. It can fly for 35 hours and travel over 3,700 miles in that time. It is optimized for satellite control as well as an electro-optical targeting sensor. It can also be equipped with armaments, such as small missile launchers, for a total of 220 pounds of ordnance. A mock-up at the UAV show depicted the TB001 equipped with eight anti-tank Norinco Blue Arrow missiles, each weighing 100 pounds.

Also showcased was the TA001, a single pusher-engine UAV meant to carry lighter ordnance. It was about half the size of the TB001.

These UAVs were at a showcase of developments by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), the state-owned corporation that is the primary contractor for the Chinese space program.

China lags behind other major military powers such as the US and Russia in drone warfare, and has been exploring their options for catching up. One technology they are interested in exploring are drone swarms, where hundreds or even thousands of cheap drones coordinated by artificial intelligence swarm enemy targets such as fighter jets.

"Swarming is currently considered to be one of the most promising areas of defence technology development in the world," said Vasily Kashin, an expert on China's military at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, to Today Online in August. "The Chinese are prioritizing it."

Momen liburan terutama liburan lebaran disamping ada kegiatan bersilaturahmi dengan para tetangga, kerabat dan handai taulan, momen lebaran biasanya juga dimanfaatkan untuk berwisata bersama keluarga.

Maklum, kapan lagi bisa kumpul bersama-sama. Mumpung liburan cuti lebaran yang cukup panjang, maka banyak yang memboyong keluarga besarnya ke tempat-tempat wisata inspiratif terdekat di kota masing-masing. Namun suasana lebaran sangat berbeda dengan hari biasa karena membuat tempat-tempat wisata tersebut menjadi penuh sesak oleh para pengunjung.

Untuk mengantisipasi kejadian yang tidak diinginkan, perlunya memperhatikan beberapa hal ketika berwisata bersama keluarga. Antara lain:

1. Membawa makanan sendiri.

Lebih baik kita menyiapkan bekal makanan dari rumah. Kita tidak bisa membeli makanan secara leluasa di tempat wisata. Dalam suasana lebaran, sulit untuk mendapatkankan makanan. Pertama, kita harus antri lama sedangkan perut sudah kelaparan. Kedua, harga makanan naik menjadi berlipat-lipat, jauh lebih mahal dari harga biasanya. Ketiga, jumlah makanan dan pedagangnya sangat terbatas. Dan keempat, makanan tersebut tidak bisa dijamin higienis. jadi, untuk amannya, kita membawa makanan sendiri.

2. Membawa tikar dan peralatan piknik.

Di kawasan wisata tidak banyak tempat yang bisa membuat orang duduk-duduk istirahat sekeluarga. Jumlah tempat yang bisa diduduki atau kursi taman sangat terbatas, padahal kita tak mungkin jalan kaki terus. Memang ada yang menyewakan tikar, tapi tarifnya lumayan. Kalau bisa hemat uang mengapa tidak? Apalagi tikar-tikar yang disewakan dalam keadaan kurang baik dan kotor. Kita bisa bercengkerama dan menikmati bekal makanan di atas tikar yang dibawa dari rumah.

3. Awasi anak-anak.

Orang tua seringkali lengah untuk menjaga anak-anaknya karena asyik melihat obyek wisata. padahal pengunjung begitu banyak, anak-anak dengan mudah dapat tersesat dan hilang di antara kerumunan. Awasi anak-anak dengan baik, jangan sampai lepas dari pandangan. Ada baiknya jika mereka dilatih untuk menghafal nama orang tua, berikut alamat tempat tinggal. Jika terjadi sesuatu, mereka bisa mengatakan kepada petugas yang menemukan agar menghubungi kedua orangtua. 4. Jaga kebersihan.

Ini salah satu hal yang paling memprihatinkan. Banyak orang yang dengan seenaknya membuang sampah sembarangan. Mereka malas mengumpulkan sampah dan memasukkannya ke tong sampah yang tersebar di seluruh area wisata. Perilaku ini menggambarkan kepribadian orang yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Biasakan berdisiplin membuang sampah ke tempatnya, kita harus memilihara lingkungan alam dengan baik.

5. Gunakan kendaraan yang fleksibel.

Ada beberapa tempat wisata yang lebih mudah menggunakan kereta, ada juga yang dengan bus way, ada juga yang dengan angkutan biasa. Pilih yang paling fleksibel ke tempat tersebut agar tidak terjebak dalam arus lalu lintas yang berkepanjangan. Kalau memang hendak menggunakan kendaraan pribadi, carilah jalan alternatif yang lebih menyenangkan.

6. Sesuaikan dengan anggaran yang ada.

Kalau budget pas-pasan, jangan berwisata ke tempat-tempat yang mahal. Cari saja lokasi wisata yang murah meriah. Yang penting adalah kegembiraan bersama keluarga. Wisata murah yang mengandung unsur edukasi untuk anak-anak lebih baik. Misalnya TMII atau kebun binatang Ragunan.

7. Jangan lupa berdoa sebelum berangkat.

Selama dalam perjalanan dan di tempat wisata selalu berhati-hati. Dengan demikian kita bisa kembali ke rumah dengan selamat.

Japanese Hotel to Plant Books Denying Nanking Massacre in Rooms During Olympics

A Japanese hotel executive who has authored books denying the 1937 Nanking Massacre, in which hundreds of thousands of Chinese people were murdered and raped, is refusing to remove his works from his hotels while hosting athletes for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo

Toshio Motoya is the chief executive of the APA Group, a real estate and hotel development company based in Tokyo. He has placed his books in all of the company’s hotels, which number more than 400.

In his most recent work, "The Real History of Japan: Japan Pride," he alleges that the "so-called Nanking Massacre story" is "fabricated" and instead blames the Chinese army for killing its own people.

The Nanking Massacre or the Rape of Nanking occurred during the Sino-Japanese War, when over a six-week period in late 1937 the Imperial Japanese Army brutally killed hundreds of thousands of people in the city of Nanking, then the capital of nationalist China. Between 20,000 and 80,000 women were sexually assaulted during the rampage.

China, which claims 300,000 people died in Nanking at the hands of the Japanese between December 1937 and January 1938, is incensed at Japanese conservatives who lowball the death toll or or claim the massacre never took place at all.

In "The Real History of Japan," which is printed in both Japanese and English, Motoya writes, "The Japanese army merely exposed and put to death the plainclothes soldiers (guerrillas) who abandoned their uniforms, stole the garments of regular citizens, and were hiding in the refugee zone with weapons and ammunition," according to the Asia Times.

Threats of boycott and Chinese protests forced the APA Group to temporarily remove the books from its hotels on the island of Hokkaido earlier this year when the island hosted athletes for a sporting competition.

At an event marking his book’s publication on Friday, Motoya said, "Would I remove the books during the Olympics just because they’re the Tokyo Olympics? That’s really stupid," adding, "Is there something strange about putting my books in my hotels? From the start, I have no intention of removing them for that reason."

He also denied that his books were removed from the Hokkaido hotels over their content, instead claiming a contractual stipulation required that “nothing with information” could be in the hotel rooms.

Motoya has come under fire for his views before, most recently in February when he was quoted in an APA magazine distributed in Canadian hotels as saying "Jewish people control American information, finance, and laws, and they benefit greatly from globalization because they move their massive profits to tax havens so they don’t have to pay any taxes. Many Jewish people support the Democratic Party."

The article’s subtitle was "An American counteroffensive against Jewish globalism."

After an outcry by Jewish groups in Canada, Motoya released a statement saying, "It is very unfortunate that my writings gave you an erroneous impression that I hold anti-Semitic beliefs."

An international team of researchers have announced their discovery of four galaxies that produce stars at a rate hundreds of times quicker than a typical galaxy. These systems, called “starburst galaxies,” may explain the mystery of supermassive galaxies that formed shortly after the Big Bang.

These starburst galaxies produce stars at a rate of 100 solar masses every year. By comparison, the Milky Way produces an estimated four solar masses each year. This would be odd enough on its own, but the hyperactives have another strange quality: they're all old. Each of the starbursts came into existence less than a billion years after the Big Bang.

This could make starburst galaxies a major clue to one of astronomy's biggest mysteries: how could supermassive galaxies and black holes form in the early universe? Big things take time to form, but in a cosmic blink of an eye, these enormous objects appeared in the universe.

But if whatever is causing the starburst galaxies to grow so quickly was also present in the early universe, it may have been the cause of the rapid onset of massive galaxies. Giving credence to this theory is that the majority of starbursts discovered before were very far away from Earth, which means they were more prevalent in the early universe.

Nothing is set in stone, however. "Whether or not the fast-growing galaxies we discovered are indeed precursors of the massive galaxies first seen a few years back will require more work to see how common they actually are," said study contributor Eduardo Bañados from the Carnegie Institute in Pasadena, California.

The scientists discovered the galaxies by accident, while they were studying star formation by looking at quasars – supermassive black holes surrounded by accretion disks of matter. "We were looking for something different: for star formation activity in the host galaxies of quasars," said study lead Roberto Decarli, with the the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy (MPIA), in a statement.

"But what we found, in four separate cases, were neighboring galaxies that were forming stars at a furious pace, producing a hundred solar masses' worth of new stars per year."

Most starburst galaxies detected until now were in the process of merging with other neighboring galaxies, but this wasn't the case for the four discovered by Decarli's team. Instead, they believe the quasars at the centers of these galaxies to be the cause of their hyperactivity.

"Very likely it is not a coincidence to find these productive galaxies close to bright quasars. Quasars are thought to form in regions of the universe where the large-scale density of matter is much higher than average. Those same conditions should also be conducive to galaxies forming new stars at a greatly increased rate," said MPIA member and co-author Fabian Walter in the statement.
