American Council on Exercise Charts 'Underwhelming' Wii Fit Health Benefits

The American Council on Exercise (ACE), a leading fitness authority and training organization, has released the results of a study that tested the effectiveness of Nintendo's exercise tool and balance trainer Wii Fit. RWJ Foundation Awards $1.85 Million for Health Games Research

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) has awarded more than $1.85 million in grants dedicated to researching links between gaming and positive health behaviors. The grants, provided as a part of RWJF's Health Games Research national program, funded nine research teams located in the United States. Federal contracting company Applied Research Associates (ARA) announced plans to expand its office in Raleigh, North Carolina, to make room for the 45 staff members of serious games studio Virtual Heroes. Media Development Authority of Singapore Invests $6M in Serious Games

According to a report at The Straits Times, the Media Development Authority (MDA) of Singapore plans to invest $6 million into the development of serious game applications.
