HTC,Äôs 10 is getting ready to land stateside with the goal of hitting a home-run for the struggling smartphone manufacturer, but that doesn,Äôt mean its 2015 offerings aren,Äôt still worthy of your consideration. This is especially true right now, as HTC is holding a Mother,Äôs Day promotion that sees the One A9 and One M9 at just $ 389 and $ 399 respectively.

The HTC One A9 is available in either an unlocked form or as the Sprint version, but with just one color choice, AI deep garnet. Considering the A9 is normally $ 499, that means you,Äôre getting $ 110 off. Turning to the HTC One M9, you,Äôll find it in pink and completely unlocked for use with the GSM carrier of your choice.

Best third party watch bands for the Moto 360 (2015)

Don’t like that plain leather band that the Moto 360 comes with? Strap on one of these!

The leather wristband that comes with the Moto 360 is a pretty standard accessory. There isn’t anything wrong with it, but it may not be the best band for every occasion.

The great thing about wristbands is you can swap them out whenever you want! When you work out in the morning, you can have a sports band; when you are having that meeting at the coffee shop you can have a leather band; and, when you’re having cocktails with friends later, you can wear a metal link band. It all comes down to your style preferences.

Important Note: Make sure you know the size of band you will need for your Moto 360! The Moto 360 2nd Gen comes in three different sizes that require three different watch band widths.

Mens 42mm case uses a 20 milimeter band.

Mens 46mm case uses a 22 milimeter band.

Womens 42mm case uses a 16 milimeter band.

With that in mind, we have rounded up some of the best third party wristbands for the Moto 360 that we could find. We divided them up into the material they’re made of, so you can focus on the type you really want.

Leather

We know that the Moto 360 already comes with a leather band, but that doesn’t mean you don’t want a different one. Whether you want a different color, a different thickness, or just one that you think looks nicer, leather bands are still worth checking out.

MOTONG genuine leather band

This leather band is a little more defined than the one that ships with the Moto 360. The stitching along the sides of the band and the two-toned wash really makes the band pop a little better when it’s on your wrist.

It only comes in the one size (17.5cm) so it could potentially feel too tight or too lose on your wrist. The good thing about leather is it’s easy enough to poke an extra hole or two to make sure you get the right fit.

See at Amazon

Hadley-Roma genuine leather strap

If you want a band that stands out a little more than the stock Moto 360 leather band, Hadley-Roma’s band has a really nice look to it. The leather is worked to look slightly worn and the stitching along the band is very contrasted to give the band a defined look.

It also comes treated with a water-resistant coating that is useful to help prevent sweat and light amounts of rain from wrecking the leather.

See at Amazon

Sport

Typically made out of silicone, sport bands are great for people who are very active. The bands are waterproof and very tear-resistant.

VIMVIP silicone sports watch band

This is a pretty typical sports band that’s made out of silicone, so you can rest assured that your sweat won’t ruin it, which makes it perfect for working out.

The band itself doesn’t look like anything special, but it does have the added bonus of having a texture inside. This means the band doesn’t move around as much and can still allow air to move in between your skin and the watch. This means less chance for any skin irritation.

See at Amazon

Rerri sports band

If you want a sports band that is plain and simple, look no further that the sports band from Rerri.

It’s a simple silicone band with a metal clasp that has no texture at all, giving you a classic, clean look. The great thing about this band is how easy it is to install. It comes with two spring metal pins and the tool to remove the pins, so it’s easy to change it out whenever you like.

See at Amazon

Metal

Metal bands are super durable and very stylish. A great way to make your Moto 360 look really high-end and polished.

GOOQ stainless steel metal band

A metal watch band doesn’t always have to mean links. GOOQ’s watch band is made from a stainless steel mesh, which gives it a neat textured look and feel. The great thing about the mesh is arm hair doesn’t get pinched inside it, which makes moving the watch around on your wrist much more comfortable.

The clasp is also made of stainless steel which makes this this whole band pretty rust-resistant. The durability of the metal will also help it from showing any wear and tear.

See at Amazon

Fitian stainless steel band

The Fitian’s metal band we’ve featured here is your more classic metal band. It’s comprised of stainless steel links and connected by two spring pins that are easy to install. This is your classic metal band that you just can’t go wrong with.

See at Amazon

MODE Bands

MODE bands were just released from Google and they get rid of the hassle of dealing with those tiny pins all the time. They might just be the easiest bands you have ever installed! This neat video on the MODE site, shows you just how simple clipping one of these to you Moto 360 actually is.

To use them all you have to do is replace the original pin that is on your Moto 360 and then add the MODE pin. From there it’s just a matter of sliding your MODE band over the pin, and locking it shut!

Hadley Roma is the only company making the MODE bands right now and they start around $50. Don’t forget, want size band you will need.

In its quest for <del> world domination </del> adequacy, Microsoft has an Android variant of Reviews their well-known Outlook email client. In fact, it’s a decent app. Among other things, it has a built-in calendar. However, unlike some other calendar clients like Microsoft-owned-Sunrise-you can not have events from places like Wunderlist in your Outlook calendar. With its latest update, though, Outlook now supports “calendar apps,” the which is just a not-that-fancy name for third-party services that it can add to your calendar. The initial rollout includes Wunderlist, Facebook, and Evernote, the which are as good of a trio as you could hope for.

Of the three, I only use Wunderlist, so on the right-hand side you have a look at how Reviews those rendering tasks in the calendar. Much like they do on Sunrise, they Appear as all-day events. When you are finished, they get a little check mark next to them, but stay on the calendar for posterity’s sake.

Another aspect of the update that is unrelated to the calendar is the support for the .eml file attachments. If you do not know what Reviews those are, they’re email files, best known as a default file type Introduced by Outlook (for desktops). I’m not sure how many people are out there emailing emails, but if you’re one of Reviews those special people, you’re in luck.

SpaceX is all like “Hey everyone, check this out!”

We’ve seen some cool things done with 360-degree video already. We’ve even captured a couple of things ourselves. Collectively, early adopters are learning what to do with these relatively new cameras, and that includes a look at when to put the tech away. It’s fascinating stuff, especially if you’re looking at things through Google Cardboard, but it’s not always clear what video you should choose to introduce new people to this technology.

And then the folks at SpaceX posted this to Facebook.

The only thing cooler than seeing a rocket that just delivered payload into space successfully land on a human-free droneship is watching it happen as though you were standing on the deck. The ability to see this in 360-degree video format makes it so much more compelling, and should absolutely be the kind of thing you show your friends when they don’t quite get why this is so cool.

It’s always fun when the newest flagships Reviews their start seeing prices drop, but this deal on a brand new 32GB Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is not just a price drop it’s a steal. At $ 629, it’s a full $ 150 less than the price you’d pay to T-Mobile or the like. You can get it a little cheaper on Amazon, at $ 752, but this deal is still over $ 120 better than that.

Even better, this is not some fly-by-night seller that you have to worry about. It’s Newegg, of selling electronics legitimate fame. There are a few things to note about this listing, though.

First, it’s the G935F models, meaning it’s the international edition. That does mean it’s unlocked, but Also that it will only work on GSM carriers (sorry Sprint and Verizon). You’re getting an Exynos SoC Also rather than the Qualcomm hardware you get in the US variants. At the time of writing, only black and gold are available.

Best of all, shipping is free to US buyers. The exact location where they are shipping from Newegg is not Disclosed-says they have warehouses all over the country, so they may choose wherever is closest to you.

Reviews These probably will not last long, so get buying.

At the beginning of this year, Fairphone Launched code.fairphone.com and Began publishing source code for Reviews their in-development operating system. Tech-savvy users were Able to run this code on their Fairphone 2 devices, but more casual users were kind of left out of the loop. Now the company has put together a version of Reviews their Android-based operating system that anyone can download and install .

See also: Fairphone 2 impressions: an environmentally friendly, modular smartphone 12

For Reviews those not in the know, Fairphone is a company that is attempting to create socially responsible smartphones . The idea is to create products built entirely by people earning a fair and livable wage. They are careful to avoid any involvement with child labor and never purchase materials from entities that would use the proceeds to fund illegal armies. One of the ways the company aims to stay competitive is by making Reviews their completely modular devices. That way, instead of upgrading to a new device every couple of years, Fairphone 2 owners can simply upgrade components once they Become outmoded or broken.

The device has a fairly steep price tag of $ 583 for what are Essentially mid-range specs. The 5-inch Full HD LCD display is pretty nice, and it runs Lollipop out of the box. 2GB of RAM power the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, and for internal storage, you start with 32GB with the option to expand via microSD. It’s not a stunning piece of tech razzle-dazzle, but the point with this handset is not to woo with specs. For DIY enthusiasts concerned about the Human Suffering that goes into creating Reviews These wonders of technology, the Fairphone 2 is a match made in heaven. The company estimates that the modular nature of the device means it can last you as long as half a decade.

More possibilities with Android

The range of Apple devices running iOS – iPhones, iPads and iPods Touches – has hardly changed since the first release of the iPhone 2G. Of course there have been improvements, but the designs have Remained basically the same. This simplicity pleases a lot of people and is perhaps one of the most-cited reasons for users to reject Android, the which can seem overly-complicated. But it simply is not that black-and-white.

For a newcomer from iOS-land, adjusting to the Android interface MIGHT seem scary. But fret not – you’ll quickly intervening Realize that functionality is basically the same, only with much more freedom to manage photos, music, videos and any type of file. How is this so? You’re free from the shackles of iTunes and other file synchronization chains.

Applications

Today, both the App Store and Google Play Store have a wide variety of applications, with only one or another app remaining unique to only one of the platforms.

This is another great advantage of migrating to Android, Because the number of free apps is Generally higher in Google than the App Store. Free apps are not always the best quality, of course, but Also bear in mind that Google itself Provides a Google app roomates Gives Rewards credits when you answer surveys.

Often you’ll be Able to download free movie rental offers, free albums and good deals from the Play Store. The downside is that paid apps purchased from the Apple store usually can not be ported to Android.

Google ecosystem

There are many iPhone owners out there who adapt to Google’s ecosystem in a kind of weird , crutched way. Sure, they use services such as YouTube, Gmail and Google Maps even though they have an iPhone.

Google, an app for every need. / © Google

The truth is that adapting can be kind of hard. But Google offers a wider range of services than Apple, with features like unlimited backup of photos in Google Photos, more free storage on Google Drive than in iCloud data synchronization with Google Chrome, etc.

Well, as you can see from this analysis, the transition can be difficult,, but the result should Ultimately be very satisfactory. It opens endless possibilities that Apple can not offer with iPhones and iPads.

Have you migrated across the platforms of Google and Apple? Tell us what was the most difficult, aspects were.
