How to Connect the Server and Client Computers

Many incoming email that asks How do I connect the server and the client computer? I always replied via email. So rather than have to answer by email then I post the answer here.

How to connect a client computer and a server? actually quite easy, as follows:

To use the client software is required at least 2 computers connected in LAN network :

one computer as a server (the server software installed)

one or another client (client software installed)

How to Connect the Server and Client Computers

setting the IP server with a static model such as 192.168.1.1

on the server go to C:\Program Files\SoftwareName looking dbfile folder.

sharing folders full

client clicks on the connect icon and navigate to the server database, for example: \\192.168.1.1\dbfile

select the db file that appears and click ok

client already connected

To set the user authority is only done on the server computer in a computer program then the client will read the appropriate user and password settings are included.

Additional way of connecting computers to the server and client on windows 7 and windows vista the same way but there are special ie: the server software is not installed in c:\ but in d:\ or other origins not in c:\

How to Auto ShutDown Computer with Specified Time

Do always remember to turn off the computer before bed, or just forget to look at while you are at work? This article will tell you how to shutdown your computer automatically at a time specified by you.

Turning off or shutdown computer normally by clicking the shutdown button on the start menu. But in addition to the common way, but this way we can set when we die or shutdown computer automatically with the time that we set itself.

How to Auto ShutDown Computer with Time Specified using notepad.
1. Open Notepad, Start> All Programs> Accessories> Notepad.

4. Save command on a notepad with the name timer.bat by selecting File> Save As, change the "file as type" her to "All Files". Save
5. Run timer.bat file then your computer will automatically shutdown at a specified time.
6 If you want to cancel the automatic computer shutdown, press "Windows key + R", type shutdown-a. press OK.

Ways to Connect Computer to the Internet Via LAN

Windows XP provides a setting that is very easy to do this. In just a few minutes you can use a modem that is plugged into a PC to be used by another computer or laptop to connect to the internet via LAN cable (UTP).

Ways to Connect Computer to the Internet Via LAN

Internet Connection Sharing
Perform the following steps on the computer that is the modem:
1. Start> Control Panel> Network and Internet Connections> Network Connections
2. Select the modem connection to be shared, and then click the right mouse
3. Select Properties
4. Select the Advanced tab
5. Internet Connection Sharing option, check the Allow other network users to connect trough this computers Internet connection
6. Select option Establish a dial-up connection Whenever a computer on my computer on my network Attempts to access the Internet only if you allow the computer to automatically perform a dial up.
7. Click OK, will appear warning that the IP address of the LAN card you will be set to 192.168.0.1 to remember is that the other computer must have an IP address in the range 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254 (to be included in the same segment).

LAN Settings
Setting up a connection to another computer parameters:
1. Start> Control Panel> Network Connections
2. Select the Local Area Connections, right click the mouse and choose Properties
3. Select the General tab, click Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) click properties
4. You may choose the option Obtain an IP address automatically, but it is safer if you give the IP address in the range 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254 then type 192.168.0.1 in the gateway (modem IP address to be shared)
5. Click OK, finished.

Last Step:
1 Start> Control Panel> Internet Options
2 Select the Connections tab, click the setup button
3 New Connection Wizard will appear, click next
4 Select Connect to the Internet, click next
5 Select Set up my connection manually, click next
6 Select Connect using a broadband connection that is always on. Click next
7 Click Finish.

The first part is http:
The first part shows the protocol used to access the desired document. This protocol serves to regulate the communication between the client computer to the server computer.
In this example use HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol).
The second part is //settingcomputers.blogspot.com
The second section shows the location of the machine that will be accessible and that provide the necessary documents.
The third part is /2012/06/setting-computers-to-connect-to.html
This section shows the logical pathname in settingcomputers.blogspot.com the document layout is located.

Uniting many computers with different spec and different types of OS is required, it is increasingly making efficiency a lot of things. For office maybe one of them is the use of media devices (printers, etc.) that can be used together. Disable File-Sharing Wizard Interface.

Here's how to disable the interface or a simple wizard-based sharing;

Explorer My Computer.

Click on Tools and select Folder Options.

If you do not see the file menu in Vista or Windows 7, press the Alt key.

Click the View tab.

Check the Use Sharing Wizard (Vista/7) or Use Sharing Wizard (XP).

Click OK.

All computers in the same workgroup.

Because some versions of Windows have different default workgroup name, you must specify a particular name and ensure that each computer is set to the same workgroup (eg "GROUP").

Setting up computer to Workgroup on Windows 7 Windows XP Windows Vista, right-click My Computer or Computer shortcut on the desktop or the Start menu and select Properties. You will see the computer name, domain, and workgroup settings in the System window.

It would be nice if every computer has a descriptive name their own computer, and make sure not to get the same computer name on the network, if there is certain to be a conflict.

Setting the LAN on the Server and Client Network

LAN network should be set such that the desired results can be maximized. Lan network connect computers to each other and can be controlled by a single computer server. Whether or not or the resulting quality depends on how the Setting the LAN on the Server and Client Network.

Setting Server and Client

Once the computers are connected in a form of topology (eg; Star) then we are ready to make arrangements. Turn on the PC server (make sure that the server PC is connected to Internet Broadband). Broadband Internet connection to the server is done by the employees of the provider or if we want to do it yourself, we just ask for the number of broadband internet + password, IP and DNS from the provider after the application of subscription requests we receive. Open a command prompt from the start menu - programs - accessories - command prompt. Type "ping http://www.google.com" without the quotes.

If we have a server PC connected to the Internet, then we would get, such as "Reply from 72.14.203.174:..." means that the connection is successfully received. Well, now we will be setting up a new network that we're working on today.

Open a command prompt and type "ipconfig / all" press ENTER (without the quotes). Here will be visible IP address, DNS servers, and Default Gateway (NIC 1 and NIC 2 belongs speedy still empty). Write down on a piece of papyrus paper eh :) means these numbers. IP addresses are used usually are in class C.

For example, NIC 1 is filled:

IP address: 192.168.1.2

Subnet: 255.255.255.0

Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (IP Address in ADSL modem)

DNS servers: 202.134.0.15 (DNS from ISP / Speedy)

Alternative DNS: 202.134.0.10
Open Control Panel - Network connectin. Double click on the Local Area connection 2 (NIC2)
Search option Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) and click Properties. Click on the Use the following IP address and then fill in as follows:
IP address: 192.168.0.1
Once completed, click OK and then closse
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.2 (IP Address on NIC 1)
DNS servers: 202.134.0.15
Alternative DNS: 202.134.0.10
Turn on all the client computers. To make it easier, do the setup from the client computer number 1.
Open Control Panel - Network connection. Double click on the Local Area connection
Search option Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) and click Properties. Click on the Use the following IP address and then fill in as follows:
IP address: 192.168.0.2 (IP address of client 1)
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1 (IP Address on NIC 2 servers)
DNS servers: 202.134.0.15

In the previous post that NIC 1 is connected to the ADSL modem and NIC 2 is connected to the switch. NIC 2 is what we will share to the client computer.
Before synchronizing between the PC server and PC client first we fill in all the IP address of the client computer.

For client 2 and so on, follow step number 2 above. You just change the IP address to ... 3,4,5 .. etc.

Windows Safe Mode Benefits And How To Use

For most of us (computer users) may not be familiar with the term Safe Mode. This feature was provided in the Windows operating system, for various purposes. For example to check or repair damage to the windows system, remove viruses, check for damage and other drivers.

How to enable Safe Mode and anything that can be exploited when we have entered Safe Mode? What is Safe Mode? Safe mode option is an option start up windows whose primary function handle if there are problems with the system. Windows will run with minimal conditions, only the files and drivers that are important in the switch, as well as some additional software is not activated. Then when it entered safe mode, it will appear the words "Safe Mode" at the top corners of windows.

How to Go into Safe Mode One way that can be used in almost all Windows systems including Windows Vista is by pressing the F8 key while Windows is booting (or when the computer starts up and display information Memory / hardware). After that will perform some computer boot options menu, as follows:

Some explanation of Windows Advanced Options Menu. In addition to the menu to select Safe mode, there are many other menus that can be selected. Here are some explanations menus are:

Safe Mode, this option means that Windows will run using only minimal files and drivers as well as software-software.

Safe Mode with Networking, this option like safe mode coupled with the drivers so that we can utilize Network (Networking)

Safe Mode with Command Prompt, the same as safe mode except that the program Command Prompt / MS-DOS Prompt (cmd.exe) will be activated immediately (instead of explorer)

Enable Boot Logging, windows will create a file Ntbtlog.txt, when start-ups and start-up information will be stored in the file. This file is usually stored in the root system, such as drive C:

Enable VGA Mode. Windows will run with a minimum display modes such as 640 × 800 × 480 or 600. Usually used to check for damage or error [driver] VGA (graphic display windows).

Last Known Good Configuration, run the Windows registry using the information that was saved when the last shutdown. Use if we are wrong to change the system configuration, or when windows fails to enter into the main display.

Some of the benefits of Safe Mode:

Uninstall previous software causes the computer hangs, error and so on. Sometimes after a certain program installed windows problem, so if it can not be uninstalled through normal mode using Safe Mode.

Disabling an application or a particular program. To facilitate the entry into Safe Mode, can use application that can be obtained free Autoruns from SysInternals. This technique can also be used to check the computer loading slow. If no Autoruns, can type MSCONFIG in the Run menu to run the System Configuration Utility, if it is performed is selected via the Startup tab.

Examine the problems with the graphics display windows (VGA). When the display windows problem, can be checked by selecting "Enable VGA Mode", if successful, and did not see the problem, possible problems in the VGA driver.

Deleting files / viruses that can not be through normal mode. Some antivirus can still run in safe mode, and can be tried scan through safe mode. Sometimes the virus is not running in safe mode, although many also who can walk / ing even in Safe Mode.

Safe Mode is a standard feature of Windows and sometimes quite useful for some problems like the above, although sometimes are like a virus could also be active in this mode, so use the safe mode is not enough.

Create a Bootable Windows UBCD4Win CD

One of the bootable CD is very useful is the UBCD4Win (UBCD / Ultimate Boot CD for Windows), because by this we use a bootable CD to fix various problems with the computer, ranging from data recovery, the operating system to eradicate the virus. But perhaps some still struggling how to create a bootable CD.

UBCD4Win does not provide download an ISO file that can direct burning to CD, but its just the installer and make our own. That's because the ISO file contains the system files of Windows XP, and it will be deemed to violate Microsoft's copyright. Therefore, to make it to be done by the owner of the Windows XP CD itself. Here are the steps to create a Bootable CD:

Previously, download the latest installer to make a bootable CD from the UBCD4Win site. Size is quite large (about 245 MB), so be sure to download with download manager. When finished downloading, then run the file. Here I use the UBCD4Win version 3:20 (UBCD4WinV320.exe). Next follow the steps below UBCD4Win Installation:

Run (install) file UBCD4WinV320.exe/li>
Verification window will appear the file hash (MD5). If your computer is connected to the Internet, can be selected Yes, otherwise click No.

Furthermore, if successful verification, the installation process will take place, wait until the completion.

Once completed, will perform "Integrity Check for UBCD4Win" click OK.

Click Next in the window "Information", then will check if there is a patch file (fixes in this version), if you want (Have internet connection) just click Yes. Or it could be ignored by clicking No.

UBCD4Win then the installation process will be completed, it can be directly executed UBCD4WinBuilder, which would then be used to create ISO image file. Creating an ISO Image file

ISO file is a file that can later be directly on burning to CD, and produce a bootable CD. After UBCD4WinBuilder run then follow these steps

When first run License window will appear. Just click "I Agree"

In Window UBCD4Win PE builder, browse or search for a path CD / DVD-ROM that contains the Windows XP CD.

Then click or select menu Builder Build> Build (F7), wait for the installation process (retrieve system files from the Windows XP CD to complete).

When finished, select the menu Builder> Build ISO/CD (F5), wait until the completion.

UBCD4WinBuilder.iso file will be generated, which can then be burning to CD

May be shown some error, when previously I create an ISO file with UBCD4Win version 3:13 3 errors appear, but after burning my results, it could walk. in this version appears 2 errors, which displays a message that 2 files windows does not exist. Maybe something like this because of differences in versions of Windows. Ignore it if an error occurs, provided that the ISO file is successfully created, then the next be tested on a CD. Important Windows Command Prompt Should Be Known

Command Prompt for most computer users probably are not used anymore. Maybe even some new computer users never know what the command prompt. Although rarely used, but until Windows 7, Command Prompt still included, this indicates that this feature is still very important.

Command prompt commands provided start from Windows 9x till Windows 7 also increasing rapidly, ranging from simple to complex commands for administrators to address and analyze the various problems. Here are some basic commands command prompt that we should know as it is quite useful.

To run a command prompt, get through the start menu (All Programs) > Accessories and select Command Prompt. In addition it could be a faster way through the menu in the start menu RUN type CMD and press enter.

DIR

This command to display the list of files and directories in the folder location that is accessible at the command prompt. To display hidden files and folders, or add the parameter /A after the DIR command. Make sure there is a space before the slash, for example:

DIR/A

To determine the parameters or other options, please type DIR/?
CD or chdir

This command is useful to move the directory. CD and chdir have almost the same features, only to chdir we can write down the location of the folder or file exists two spaces without quotation marks. Here are some examples of commands and functions:

CD D:\ to switch to drive D:
CD .. to move to the directory above
CD\ or CD/ to move to the root directory (for windows 7/Vista). For example at the command prompt in C:\Users\I>, to move to C:, you can type CD .. 2 times. More simply we can just type in the CD/

In addition to such uses, we can also use the autocomplete feature the name of the file or folder. After typing in a CD and then follow the spacing and the specific letters, we can press the Tab key (can be many times) to get the auto complete feature name of the folder or file.

IPCONFIG

Very beneficial in terms of Internet or network connection. By typing the command IPCONFIG then press enter, it will display the IP address of our computers with some additional information such as Gateway, SubnetMask and others. For more information you can type IPCONFIG/ALL.

Additional /ALL is an option or parameter. Besides /ALL, there are several other parameters is quite useful. For the complete parameter list, please type in IPCONFIG /?

PING

Often when the internet or network can not connect. To test the Internet connection or network, we can use the PING command and follow the website name or IP address of the destination. For example as follows:

PING www.google.com
PING 74.125.235.51

If the results Reply from ...., Then the network or internet connection can be said to be OK, but if the display appears Request time out, there are several possibilities, such as no connection, cable or network problems or the addressee does not exist or was not found and others.

attrib

Viruses or worms that attack computer usually hide files or folders on your computer or flash. If this happens, we can use the attrib command to display the file (including to hide the files). The following command will list all files and folders in folders that are being accessed at the command prompt.

Attrib*.*-S-H-R/S/D

Some Additional Tips

All the command prompt commands usually include many parameters that can be used. To find out what the parameters are provided, add a space and /? after the command you want known. eg attrib /?, PING /?. Each added parameter, before a slash (/) do not forget to add space.

If we want results we write commands that can be stored in a text, each end of the command can we add a ">" and follow the file name. For example the following command:

IPCONFIG/all> D:\results_cmd_config.txt

Then the result will not appear on the command prompt, but stored in the file "result_in_config.txt" in drive D:. If the folder or file name contains spaces, then should we give two quotes at the beginning and end. For example as follows:

IPCONFIG/all> "D:\results cmd config.txt"

To clean the display screen, use the CLS command. When finished, click the button to exit other than the X corner, we can also type the command EXIT. Maryfi is a software router for Windows 7 that can share a wireless Internet connection. Using the same procedure with adhoc wireless features in Windows 7 and Windows Vista.

This article about the RAM, before this blog discuss about the amount of RAM memory required by Windows 7, for the time it's about knowing the use of CPU and RAM used and displayed on the taskbar in windows 7. RAM with capacity in the amount of 1 Gb few years back you could say a very big, what about now? much lower level of the new laptop has 1GB of RAM is minimal and sometimes even more. For those of you who want to upgrade to use Windows 7, might want to know how much RAM is needed to be able to run Windows 7?

Or as follows:

* 1GB of RAM minimum for Windows 7 32-bit versions.
* 2GB of RAM minimum for Windows 7 64-bit version.

Windows 7 can actually run on a small RAM, but do not expect you to run Windows 7 with the smooth if you are under 1 GB of RAM.

Maximum RAM that can be used on windows 7 version 32 and 64 bit, you can see in the picture below.

From the picture above you can see that windows 7 64 bit version can use a large more reach 192 GB of RAM, so far compared to 32-bit version of Windows 7.

There are times when computer users experience problems with Windows or the system. Sometimes it appears a serious problem that causes the computer can not boot or system files corrupted due to virus windows. If this happens there are usually two options: Re-Install or Repair Windows Installation.

10. Once found, it is selected (select) Windows XP is in want and press the R button to to repair the windows XP Installation.

11. Wait until the request is complete until the computer restarts.
12. After the restart, and a menu appears Press any key to boot from CD then do not press any button. Follow the continuing process of repair to completion.

Once completed and the computer restarts, the Windows XP Installation has been successfully improved, and programs / existing applications, hardware drivers and the data will still be there and run normally, without the need to install again. Except for applications that change the windows system files like Vista Transformation Pack and the like. If you use an application like this it is necessary to reinstall.

How To Using the Windows 7 Magnifier Program Features

Since Microsoft first time come with a utility to enlarge the screen, as a utility "Ease of Access" is to help people with vision problems see the screen better, but now the utility has been enhanced, almost everyone can get some benefit from a nice little utility, but for those who use laptops will benefit more from all.

The reason is because of the way many people use laptops. If you are like many others, and use your laptop in bed when you lie down on your pillow, you will probably find a screen Winds up to a little further than you want, making it difficult to read small text.

To run this program, both find it and run it from your Accessories folder, under Ease of Access, or faster, by typing in the Magnifier in the Search box.

And when you click the Magnifier you will immediately get the option as below:

Magnifier, has three sections, zoom-in and zoom-out buttons that are used to increase or decrease the zoom (+ and - buttons), Views menu, which allows you to change the way Magnifier works when zooming, and finally, icons Option, which allows you to set or change certain options are now available with Magnifier.

Zoom in and out fairly easy button, to zoom, click the "+" to zoom out, click the "-". You should be aware that the enlarged area appears to move closer or farther away.

Below the scroll bar is a great choice color inverter that did just that, reversing the colors on the areas that are enlarged, in case that might help make reading easier for you.

Below is a list of color choices inversion three choices: Follow the mouse pointer; Follow the mouse pointer; Follow the keyboard focus and Have Magnifier follow the text insertion point. The third option allows you to change the focus of control when an item has been enlarged.

In the next command if you want to delete the boot menu and you can rebuild the boot menu from scratch, you can do with the following command.

Bcdedit / ekspor c: \ BCD_Backup
c:>
cd boot
BCD attrib-s-h-r
ren c: \ boot \ BCD bcd.old
BootRec / RebuildBcd

It is mainly aimed at securing the system from damage caused by accidental user. But sometimes it can interfere with the installation of a simple program or some other simple tasks.
