Hola amigos!

Long time since I last commented! :P

This skype app for the iPhone looks amazing! Shame I dropped my iPhone in the toilet :( Oh well, Its being repaired right about now, over in england in a phone shop near where i used to live there (I couldn't find any repair shops here in Spain where I live).

I liked using fring for skype too, but I hated that you had to go on msn and AIM and any other services you use at the same time, and that the only way to JUST use skype was by deleting your other accounts off Fring.

Keep up the good work guys & girls!

I think a very important problem with the water sensor is the possibility of a false positive result, i.e., color change of the water sensor NOT being caused by direct contact with water. In humid geographical areas, the water sensor can definitely change color due to a very high relative humidity. It would be unfair for the warranty to be invalid under such situation, since it is definitely not caused by the owner's misuse. Apple should look into the matter seriously and figure out a more reliable way to minimize the probability of false positive results.

Vas Market and Its scope:-
India is a country which has high potential in Vas business.Operator has so far achieved a little except into ring tone/ring back tone/wall paper.Mobile market can segmented in to two major Area.

Mobile as a Voice medium:India has still huge customer base to be targeted in Semi urban/ rural market where the Vas scope is very focused in the direction of ring tone/ring back tone/wall paper and local hummer.

Mobile as Voice & Data:This is the very nascent market as Internet on phone still needs to be improved both as a service and plan. The beauty is that this segment is though nascent but it has high purchase capability and very much professional in approach. For any business in Vas part to click needs to have some real excitement, further ease in use and must have capability to be available while on move.I mean people has little time to share with new service in life unless it really give some amazing value in life or it solve my need instantly with ease.Further this is not enough as Vas player, you have to work on the business module and acceptance level as Indian subcontinent people always believe in why should I be first? let other to be taken then i'll try.To kill this is the bottle neck of any Vas service to click. It is not enough as a business case as Vas application is really Complex equation you have to work on many areas as such,Age Group/Work Group/region etc.But if you are over coming such hurdle then you are really a king and then you have just to play with Price structure/ some new innovation and time to time Brand knock is required.Say for example Nokia has decided to come OVI as complete Vas Solution by passing Operators is really a bold step. They have come with such thought as they do have good Brand Value and good number of trusted customer base. With OVI initiative nokia is looking to counter Google globally. In Indian context they are looking for changing environment especially in metros towards service oriented handset market. With such initiative they look both into their handset segment to click and to get early test of Indian mobile Mix group (Voice + application user group). It is a good move but it is not so easy to cater as application are some how available in Internet and with free mode and further google, Yahoo etc are now providing most of the application available into your mobile now a days and further it is adding some new features as well.Nokia has edge over others due to their handset as a physical entity to get feel of new service available.

Operator and vas:-There an huge number of Vas company in India whose application are being offered by Vas in present scenario but none of them is clicking in market reason is that it is not being properly positioned and educated to end user.

New Strategy:-The operator has to work with Vas partner to position any application as per its requirement based on target group.

Conclusion: In the Vas market opportunity Operator has huge potential customer base with high purchasing power.

Hey all

Just for everyone's general information, in case there are others like who want to know the difference between Sennheiser CX-300, CX-400 and CX-500 models:

There is NO technological difference, no difference in sound quality between the three models.

The only difference is a few bells and whistles (like an in-line volume control, a crappy leather pouch, and some extra buds in the CX-500) which aren't worth the whopping difference in price.
Trust me on this. I got this information from someone working at Sennheiser. He HIMSELF recommended that I save my money and buy the CX-300.

Just for everyone’s general information, in case there are others like who want to know the difference between Sennheiser CX-300, CX-400 and CX-500 models:

There is NO technological difference, no difference in sound quality between the three models.

The only difference is a few bells and whistles (like an in-line volume control, a crappy leather pouch, and some extra buds in the CX-500) which aren’t worth the whopping difference in price.
Trust me on this. I got this information from someone working at Sennheiser. He HIMSELF recommended that I save my money and buy the CX-300.

Yeah that's what I wondering. There's a HUGE difference in price. In fact, the CX500 is almost double the price of the CX300 )I'm buying it in India). Seems criminal if I end up spending double the money just for the aesthetic differences which incidentally aren't all that different either!!

HI Malay!

I am not sure, because I have not tested the Shennheiser CX300, sorry! :D. Sometimes Brands makes the same base models with minimum differences like aesthetic aspects, probably CX300 & CX500 are the same.

Greetings :D

Hey,

I plan to purchase a Sennheiser canalphone from the CX range for my iPod Classic. Can you tell me the difference between CX300 and CX500 in terms of sound quality? The Sennheiser site says the same thing for all of them, and I can't make out which to buy, especially since CX500 is way more expensive than CX300. Thanks.

Hi ADB,

Thanks for your nice response. I am glad you've travelled round the world but that has nothing to do with my comment.

This is a corporate blog and the English level in some posts gives a really poor image of the company to customers. I wouldn't open a corporate blog in Spanish for an English-based company provided my Spanish level is poor.

Anyway if that is what you like, that's great. I only hope your customers don't judge your work for this blog, that would otherwise be great as a personal blog.

Regards,

Scott.
