Ingredients

One tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil

One small onion, finely chopped

Three cloves garlic, minced

One can (28 ounces) of whole tomatoes with juice, crushed manually

One can (14 1/2 ounces) of tomato sauce

Two sprigs basil

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper

Thinly shaved parmesan cheese for serving

Directions

Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat, but do not let it smoke. Add the onion and garlic. Cook, stirring frequently, until the onion turns translucent (5 to 7 minutes). Add wine and cook until the liquid is mostly evaporated. Add tomato juice, tomato sauce, and basil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer for 30 minutes or until slightly thickened. Add salt and pepper. Cover to keep warm. Remove from heat.

Add one teaspoon of salt to a large pot. Add half the gnocchi. When they reach the top of the pool (after approximately 2 minutes), continue cooking until they are tender, another 15 seconds. Transfer gnocchi using a slotted teaspoon to the pan with sauce. Repeat the process with the remaining gnocchi.

Gently toss gnocchi when reheating on low heat. Serve with cheese shavings.

You only need a few ingredients to make cheesy and quick-baked Gnocchi.

Our baked Gnocchi is the perfect comfort food for dreary and rainy weeknights. You only need the following:

Italian Sausage. Ground Italian sausage, usually seasoned with intense flavors such as garlic, parsley oregano, and fennel, is an essential ingredient in this recipe. You only need to brown it before baking the Gnocchi. You can use mild or spicy–whatever suits your taste.

Store-bought Gnocchi. You could undoubtedly make potato gnocchi yourself. There’s no need to make your own when so many good, store-bought options are available.

Ricotta made with whole milk. This rich, creamy cheese is made from ricotta.

Fennel seeds. Add a little more fennel seeds to this classic Italian-American pasta dish.

Buy a jar of sauce marinara. When to buy an ingredient and when to make it yourself. We say YAY to shortcuts when they allow us to have a home-cooked meal on the table instead of ordering takeout.

Mozzarella. You can use fresh or grated mozzarella cheese, whatever you prefer. Fresh mozzarella melts better than grated, but both add an outstanding savory and milky flavor.

Fresh Parsley. The addition of fresh herbs to the gnocchi recipe adds a homemade touch.

Baked Gnocchi that’s more like a “recipe.”

It’s all about simplicity when it comes to the best gnocchi recipes. This Gnocchi is one of them. We know that Gnocchi goes well with cheese and tomato sauce and that baked pasta is always a hit. We took all of that information and combined it to create this simple baked Gnocchi. It’s flexible and adaptable, so we call it a recipe. You can make it spicy by adding hot Italian sausage to a spicy sauce or milder with sweet Italian sauce and herb marinara.

After you have bought all the ingredients, you only need to put them together in a skillet. How to bake Gnocchi?

Sauté until the Italian sausage is brown, crispy, and well-cooked. The pork will bake more in the oven, but you don’t need to worry about undercooking.

Assemble. Fill up a large oven-proof pan with marinara sauce. Add Gnocchi and cooked sausage. Sprinkle salt on top. Stir to combine.

Fish Balls can be a great evening snack or a seafood starter for a party. These fish balls are crunchy on the outside and soft on the interior. […]

Fish Balls can be a great evening snack or a seafood starter for a party. These fish balls are crunchy on the outside and soft on the interior. They will satisfy your hunger. Here’s a simple recipe for Fish Balls that you can take home. This dish can be stored in the fridge for up to one week. Try this recipe for a seafood starter.

Fish Balls: Their humble origins

Many people already know that fish balls originated in China. Hong Kong is where they gained international fame. Initially, white, simple fish balls, cooked and boiled, were served with noodle soup.

To increase sales, street hawkers in Hong Kong began to fry fish balls. Street hawking has been slowly fading out in Hong Kong since then. The fish ball, however, has survived and is now a part of the culture in Hong Kong.

What to Keep in Mind

Fish balls can be made with any fish. For our version, however, we recommend using Licious cubes. You can cook them straight away because they are already cleaned, boneless and skinless.

You can choose from a wide variety of fish cubes – Yellowfin Tuna Cubes and Indian Salmon Cubes, to name just a few. You can choose from our fresh fish and seafood selection if you are not concerned about the bones.

Must-Have Dipping Sauce

You can give the fishballs an Indian touch by pairing them with mint and coriander chutney. If you want to stay traditional, a sweet-and-sour sauce will do. You can buy it at your local supermarket if you’re going to avoid making one yourself. Try the classic vinegar, onion, chili, and salt combination. This is a simple recipe that works well.

Stores

As mentioned, you can keep fish balls in the refrigerator for up to one week. Be sure to cool them completely before storing them. If they are slimy or smell fishy, they have gone wrong.

The only ingredients required for the authentic Italian Zabaglione recipe are egg yolks, sugar, and wine (usually Marsala). Zabaglione is relatively easy to make. All you need are very fresh eggs and some whisking skills!

Zabaglione, also called Zabaione and Zabajone, is an ancient Italian dessert.

The cookies are served in small cups and seasonal fruits or fresh fruit. This could be done as a healthy snack or dessert on a cold winter’s evening.

In Italy, they usually serve Zabaglione on top of slices of Panettone or Pandoro during Christmas. It is a delicious and unique dessert.

This Italian custard can be enjoyed cold or hot, depending on your preference and the season.

Today, Zabaglione and Pastry Cream are essential ingredients in the Italian pastry tradition. They are used to make refined desserts.

The origins of this recipe are simple and homey. It comes from Italian grandmothers and mothers who would beat egg yolks and sugar together in a cup to get a foamy cream. Due to its high nutritional value, this Italian egg yolk and granulated sugar preparation were used to treat indigent or convalescent husbands/children.

Ingredients

NOTE: Mothers and grandmothers have developed the Zabaglione recipe over many years. You can think about Zabaglione as a family recipe. Everyone has their version.

Ingredients (sugar and egg yolks, Marsala) are roughly the same amount. Italian grandmothers would weigh the egg yolk and then add the same amount of Marsala and sugar. We would say ” Ad occhio.”

Sometimes, they even used a half eggshell to measure. For example, if you serve four people, the recipe would be four yolks of egg, four sugar eggshells, and 4 Marsala eggshells. The Zabaione recipe is the exception to the rule of pastry tradition that demands the same respect as the dosages.

Let’s look at the quantities that are ideal for this recipe.

Five tablespoons of sugar granulated (75g/ 2,64 ounces).

Egg yolks of approximately 75 g (2,64 ounces) (depending on the size of your eggs).

Marsala wine, five tablespoons (75 ml/ 2,5 fluid ounces).

Tools for making Zabaglione

Let’s see which ones. First, you need a good a

Electric hand mixers are used by many, contrary to tradition. They make it easier, but you must be careful to keep the eggs from the correct point or too quickly. It would help to spend more time with a hand-held whisk but have better control once you reach the desired thickness.

Also, you will need a Copper Mixing Bowl or a Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl. These bowls, made from steel or copper, could be more heat conductive. The bain-marie is used to heat eggs but not cook them.

Directions

Step 1)-Begin separating the yolks and whites. Add the sugar to the egg yolks and place them in a stainless steel or copper bowl. Meanwhile, place a small saucepan with water on low heat.

Step 2 – Mix the eggs and sugar using an electric or hand-held whisk. Be very careful. Continue whisking the yolks and sugar together until the sugar dissolves and the cream thickens.

Step 3 At this stage, place the bowl over the saucepan of hot water. Continue to beat the cream egg with the whisk.

Step 4 After 3-4 minutes, add the Marsala slowly. Whip everything until you reach a fluffy, full-bodied consistency. This will take approximately 10 minutes.

Step 5 – Place the Zabaglione bowl over a bowl containing ice cubes. Gently mix for a few minutes. This way, it cools quickly and remains a creamy puffy dessert.

Storage

Zabaglione tastes great if eaten immediately.

You can store it in the refrigerator for up to two days. It would help if you whisked Zabaglione again for another minute before using it. The Marsala settles at the bottom of the dish after a couple of hours and separates the egg.

Chicken Tempura
