Happy New Year Everyone! I can't believe it's already 2010, can you? It just seems like yesterday I was posting about Halloween fabrics and now it's New Years!! Wow! I really missed my blog so I'm happy to be back. I hope you all have been doing well, enjoying your lives and blogging......And of course, Etsy shopping, right???

Here is a gorgeous new collection from Amy Butler. I love all of these designs so much. I have attached some photos from the quilting section. Happy Monday everyone!! Geesh is it August Already? I am holding onto Summer with all my might, aren't you? I'm not a cold weather person and for the most part, our summer has been awesome, not too hot.....And it's wonderful to have my boys home everyday too....only 2 more weeks before all the School stuff begins, the schedules, the homework, YIKES!!! I'm not ready, I'm not ready!! o.k. onto some fun stuff for today.....I know it's just well August but if you're thinking ahead, you may have already starting thinking about your Halloween crafting projects.....I have found these fabulous Alexander Henry jewels to share with you......OH they are fabulous!! Enjoy :-)

Yummy Eclair Cake Recipe

Happy July everyone! Wow can you believe June is already gone and we are well into July? I think I blinked and school was out and I'm here! I love cool, yummy treats in the summer and this is one that I think you will love.....Not only is it delicious but oh my gosh, well it can't get much easier to make. It's also a fun treat to let your children help you make...I hope you enjoy it and are enjoying your summer:-)

INGREDIENTS

2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
3 cups milk
1 (16 ounce) package graham cracker squares
1 (16 ounce) package prepared chocolate frosting

DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, thoroughly blend the pudding mix, whipped topping, and milk.
Arrange a single layer of graham cracker squares in the bottom of a 13x9 inch baking pan. Evenly spread half of the pudding mixture over the crackers. Top with another layer of crackers and the remaining pudding mixture. Top with a final layer of graham crackers.
Spread the frosting over the whole cake up to the edges of the pan. Cover, and chill at least 4 hours before serving.

FOOTNOTE
The frosting will be easier to spread if the cake is covered and chilled for about 30 minutes before spreading. You can also add nuts to the top too.

Good Wednesday morning everyone!! Oh my gosh, I can't believe it is already June 17th......The summer is already flying by, isn't it? I have missed all of you sew much and forgive me for being totally MISSING for the past month.....And thank you sew much to several wonderful friends who have awards for me on their blogs.....I will be there soon to claim my award and thank you thank you thank you! Happy Friday to everyone.....Hope you are enjoying some fabulous spring weather like we are today and I will be in the middle of it later this afternoon with my sons! I can't believe how fast this spring break has flown by for them and need at least another week! But it will be back to school on Monday for them......Here's my newest Fabric find to share with you from the talented, Anna Maria Horner......It's called Good Folks and here is the description of this beautiful line:

Yummy Dessert Grape Salad

Happy Wednesday everyone......Wow I can't believe it's already the midweek.....My Sons are on spring break this week and I know it's flying by for them. Well at least summer is in their sights now........Hope you're having a wonderful week and some springlike weather...Ours had been a bit dreary but pretty Sunshine is back today.....

With warmer weather in mind, I thought I would share this oh so yummy Grape Salad recipe. Yes it says Salad but it's more of a covered dish supper or cookout dessert recipe. You can mix the grapes you use too, whatever you find yummy at your market....I love Aldi's grapes by King Fresh if you have one nearby. They are always delicious and so reasonably priced. Enjoy!

Ingredients

8 cups Grapes

8 ounces Sour Cream

8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened

1/2 Cup Sugar

1/2 cup Chopped Pecans

1/4 Cup Brown Sugar

Directions

De-stem and wash grapes. Mix Cream Cheese, Sour Cream, and Sugar together until smooth. Add the grapes. Then sprinkle Pecans and Brown Sugar on top!

You can also make this with low fat cream cheese and sour cream too. Some recipes also add a touch of vanilla. Pretty in a glass bowl and done in layers.

I think this is sew gorgeous! My home is mostly yellow sew this would be perfect! Love it!

I love this one! Pretty African Violets in a basket tied with a pretty grosgrain bow.....My Grandma always had the prettiest violets!

This one is sew pretty but the bird's nest is a bit more complicated to make.....

Very easy but very pretty.......whatever pretty flowers that you have or find in your market are arranged in a pretty Glass Compote! Very pretty!

I have to tell you, we are getting the craziest weather in our area.......one day it's shorts weather and then it's time for the heavy coat again! YIKES! Well hope you are enjoying yours no matter what it brings.......I just found this beautiful new fabric from Michael Miller fabrics.....It is from designer Paula Prass and it's called Flights of Fancy......I've chosen to feature the Ocean colorway as I simply love this gorgeous color palette.......Wouldn't this make a stunning quilt? Yummy Layered Salad!

Happy Weekend to everyone!! Hope you are enjoying a nice, relaxing, and downright fun weekend with your friends and family. I just had to share this Tasty Layered Salad recipe that I have used for many years....yes as you can tell from my Blog, I'm a Recipeaholic.....love them! This is a such a fun recipe to make because you can alter it based on what veggies that you and your family love......It is so good and so easy but very pretty in presentation! And the best part is you can add pretty much anything that your family loves..There are even Mexican versions to spice it up a bit! Another wonderful addition to your Easter Feast too! Enjoy:)

Basic Ingredients but you can add whatever you love!

1 medium head lettuce shredded

1 cup chopped celery

1 cup chopped green bell pepper

1-1/2 cups chopped green onion

1 cup frozen peas, thawed

1-1/2 cups mayonnaise

1 tablespoon sugar

1 cup (4-ounces) shredded cheddar cheese

8 slices crisp cooked bacon, crumbled

Directions

Layer lettuce, celery, green pepper, green onion, and peas in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise and sugar; spoon and spread over pea layer. Sprinkle with cheese and crumbled bacon. Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours to blend flavors. 8 servings.

Have you ever tried this salad? What variations do you add? We add Black Olives because my boys love them and I leave out the onions......I also add tomatoes.

Lemon Cloud Pie Recipe

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are enjoying a truly blessed and happy one and enjoying your day. We are finally enjoying some pretty Sunshine after many days of rain. But not complaining, we love getting the rain. With spring in mind, I thought it would be fun to share this yummy recipe with you all. My Mom had this recipe over Christmas and it was so delicious....I was shocked when I learned how easy it was to prepare....So if you're bringing the dessert at your Easter celebration this year, you might want to consider this yummy and very pretty treat!

Lemon Cloud Pie

Ingredients:

1 prepared 9-inch (6 oz.) shortbread crumb crust
1 can (14 oz.) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/2 cup (about 3 medium lemons) fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
Grated lemon peel or lemon slices (optional)

Directions:

BEAT sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice and peel in small mixer bowl until combined. Fold in whipped topping; pour into crust. Cover; refrigerate for 2 hours or until set. Garnish with lemon peel. NOTE: For a lower calorie and fat version of this recipe, a 6-oz. prepared reduced-fat graham cracker crust and fat-free frozen whipped topping can be substituted for the shortbread crumb crust and frozen whipped topping.

I love Robert Kaufman Fabrics sew much and this one is no exception....... The collection is called MONALUNA METRO MARKET by designer, Jennifer Moore! The designs were created with a Retro Kitchen in mind and I just love them. I posted more of them than I normally do because they are all sew fabulous and I wanted to give you a sense of how many gorgeous colorways are featured......I think these would make a fabulous apron, potholders, placemats or some wonderful kitchen towels!

Happy Monday Morning to everyone! Hope you all enjoyed a fantastic weekend and eagerly await what the new week promises.....I came across this recipe over the weekend and it sounds so yummy. I am going to try it this week for supper......Thought I would share it with my wonderful bloggedy friends! Enjoy:-)

Creamy Chicken & Pasta Bake

Ingredients

1-1/2 cups multigrain rotini pasta, uncooked
1 small bunch broccoli, cut into florets (about 3 cups)
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 cup fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
2 oz. (1/4 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA 1/3 Less Fat Cream Cheese, cubed
1 cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, divided
2 Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Directions

HEAT oven to 375ºF. Cook pasta in large saucepan as directed on package, adding broccoli for the last 3 min.

MEANWHILE, heat large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook 3 min. or until no longer pink, stirring frequently. Stir in broth; simmer 3 min. or until chicken is done. Add cream cheese; cook and stir on low heat 1 min. or until cream cheese is melted. Stir in 1/2 cup mozzarella.

DRAIN pasta and broccoli. Add to chicken mixture; mix lightly. Spoon into 8-inch sq. baking dish; cover.

BAKE 15 min. or until heated through. Sprinkle with remaining cheeses. Bake, uncovered, 3 min. or until melted. Let stand 5 min.

Special Extra
Add 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves to skillet along with the chicken.
Substitute
Substitute 2-qt. casserole dish for the square baking dish.
