Bar Paly Takes On Bay's "Pain And Gain"

Director Michael Bay ("Transformers") has now cast supermodel/actress Bar Paly ("The Ruins") for his next feature "Pain and Gain", co-starring Tony Shaloub ("Monk"), Anthony Mackie and Rob Corddry.

Premise of the new film, based on a true story, follows bodybuilders (Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson), who get tangled up in a kidnapping and extortion scheme that goes bad.

Besides feature film roles, Paly is also noted for her voice actor work in the Rockstar video game "L.A. Noire", as 'Miss Marguerite Cansino'.

Meet 'Carrie' Before "Sex And The City"

Although pop singer, actress Miley Cyrus ("Hannah Montana") was author Candace Bushnell's first choice to play a young 'Carrie Bradshaw' in the CW TV pilot adaptation of Bushnell's "Sex and the City" prequel "The Carrie Diaries", actress AnnaSophia Robb ("Soul Surfer') has now been cast in the lead role.

"Sex and the City" writer/producer Amy B. Harris is showrunner and writer for the pilot, to be directed by Miguel Arteta ("Cedar Rapids"), following teenage 'Carrie Bradshaw', exploring her first few months in New York City and the beginning of her relationship with an older man.

The new series is being developed by "Gossip Girl" producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, for the Fall 2012 season.

The man then rises from abject poverty to riches and success by seducing Paris' most influential women.

"Bel Ami" stars Pattinson as 'Georges Duroy', a "completely amoral man", Thurman as 'Madeleine Forestier', Duroy's secret love interest and Kristin Scott Thomas as 'Madame Walter', another love interest of Duroy.

Aniston Finds Support For "Wanderlust" Nude Scene

According to reports, actress Jennifer Aniston has had her topless scene deleted from the upcoming Judd Apatow-produced feature "Wanderlust".

According to Universal "...the scene was shot a bunch of different ways, and we have the best possible version."

The original scene featured Aniston going topless in front of TV news cameras.

In "Wanderlust", directed by David Wain ("Role Models"), Aniston and Paul Rudd are a married couple who try to escape modern society by leaving their 'cushy lives' behind in New York :

"...'George' and 'Linda' are an overextended, stressed out Manhattan couple. After George is downsized out of his job, they find themselves with only one option: to move in with George’s awful brother in Atlanta.

Jenny McCarthy Making "Love In The Wild"

Actress Jenny McCarthy has agreed to host NBC's reality TV series "Love in The Wild", where singles couple up to compete in 'nature-based challenges', changing partners along the way in the hopes of finding true love.

McCarthy will film Season 2 in the Dominican Republic towards the end of February, with new episodes to air in the summer.

McCarthy previously hosted MTV's "Singled Out" and will soon host "The Jenny McCarthy Show" for VH1, described as a 'pop culture'-themed talk show, debuting later this year.

Sneak Peek actress Megan Fox ("Transformers") for Armani Beauty lipstick and powder foundation accessories.

Fox is also involved in promoting lingerie for fashion house Emporio Armani.

The black-and-white lingerie photos were shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott on location in Los Angeles, currently appearing on billboards in New York, Tokyo, Rome, Paris and Milan.

In other ads, Fox is supposed to reflect the sensuality and mystery of the 'Armani Code Woman', according to Armani stylist Linda Cantello.

"The signature red, Rouge d’Armani and Luminous Silk Foundation add smoulder to Megan Fox’s porcelain skin," said Cantello.

"The laser cool blue of her eyes is accentuated by the modern smokiness of mixing two shades of eyes to kill intense eyeshadows.

The TV pilot adapts the book "Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, The Couple Who Taught America How To Love", by author Thomas Maier.

Sneak Peek new images of actors Amanda Seyfried as 'Linda Lovelace' and James Franco as 'Hugh Hefner', on the Los Angeles set of the currently shooting bio-pic "Lovelace".

Although her fans may find it hard to swallow, Seyfried ("Mama Mia !"), stars as adult film actress 'Linda Lovelace'.

The real Linda Lovelace starred in the 1972 X-rated feature "Deep Thoat", before becoming an anti-pornography advocate.

In the film, Peter Sarsgaard plays Lovelace's husband, 'Chuck Traynor'.

Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman ("The Celluloid Closet") direct a screenplay by W. Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin, adapting the biography "The Complete Linda Lovelace," by author Eric Danville.

Producers are Avi Lerner, Heidi Jo Markel and Laura Rister.

Production started January 2012.

2012: Enter The "Dragon Lady"

In celebration of the Chinese 'Year Of The Dragon', Sneak Peek creator Milton Caniff's 'Dragon Lady' character from the classic action adventure newspaper comic strip "Terry and the Pirates".

The character was based on a real woman pirate from the South China Sea named 'Lai Choi San'.

Inspired by movie characters played by actress Anna May Wong, the 'Dragon Lady' term has since been applied to powerful Asian women.

Caniff's 'Dragon Lady', aka 'Madam Deal', debuted in in the first "Terry and The Pirates" Sunday strip story (1934), as a beautiful, yet cold seductress, who unexpectedly fell in love with 'Pat Ryan'. In the years leading up to World War II, she organized the resistance against the Japanese invasion of China.

During the 1940's, actress Agnes Moorehead played the character on radio and in the "Terry and the Pirates" film serial (1940), the part was played by Sheila Darcy.

Actor James Franco is in negotiations to star in an adaptation of the non-fiction, autobiographical book "The Game: Penetrating The Secret Society Of Pickup Artists", written by investigative reporter Neil Strauss as a chronicle of his journey and encounters in the 'seduction community'.

The film adaptation will be written and directed by David Levien and Brian Koppleman :

Rooney Mara Is Stunning As "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo"

At first glance, the street-wise, leather-jacketed computer-whiz 'Lisbeth Salander', played by Rooney Mara in director David Fincher's English-language adaptation of Swedish author Stieg Larsson's "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo", appears hostile and unapproachable.

She has a 'Gyro Gearloose' haircut, skanky complexion, goth-lined, chihuahua eyes, shaved eyebrows, facial piercings and an obviously anti-social demeanor.

But when Salander teams up with Daniel Craig's crusading dog-faced journalist 'Mikael Blomkvist' in the search for a missing girl from a prominent family, putting her survival, killer instincts on hold, her rough edges slowly soften into a sensuality as smooth and slick as Fincher's no-nonsense direction, with Rooney Mara's beauty, quite evident in some nicely shot love scenes, endearing the character with the audience.

It is this love that Salander develops for Blomkvist that makes the thriller, "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" come alive, complimented by effective performances from Christopher Plummer, Stellan Skarsgard and Robin Wright.

"...'Harriet Vanger', a scion of one of Sweden’s wealthiest families disappeared over forty years ago. All these years later, her aged uncle (Plummer) continues to seek the truth.
