La C?mara de Comercio de A Coru?a ha puesto en marcha una plataforma pionera en Espa?a de software de gesti?n para pymes, CamerappsCoruna, una iniciativa desarrollada con la colaboraci?n del Grupo Everis.

El presidente de la C?mara de A Coru?a, Marcelo Castro-Rial, ha destacado durante la presentaci?n de la plataforma que la instituci?n ha querido crear una herramienta innovadora y segura que ayude a las empresas a ahorrar costes en un momento de especial dificultad.

"Estamos ante una transici?n a una nueva etapa de la innovaci?n empresarial impulsada, entre otras cosas, por el avance del Cloud Computing y la movilidad, que ayudar?n a sentar las bases de lo que ya se denomina Econom?a Inteligente", ha destacado Castro-Rial.

Por su parte, el gerente de Everis, Francisco Egea, ha se?alado que CamerappsCoruna "ofrece a las pymes una plataforma desde la que puedan gestionar todo su negocio, con todas las aplicaciones integradas".

Egea ha explicado que CamerappsCoruna cuenta con el cat?logo m?s completo de aplicaciones de gesti?n, m?s de 30 integradas entre s?, para que cada empresario pueda elegir exclusivamente las funcionalidades que le resulten m?s ?tiles.

De esta manera, puede configura su propia "suite", juntando las piezas que necesita.

Actualmente la plataforma cuenta con cuatro paquetes de aplicaciones: Premium, Pymes, Comercio y Profesionales, pensados para distintos perfiles de compa??as, a los que se sumar?n otros que se est?n desarrollando.

Google Inc dijo el lunes que compró Nik Software, rival de Instagram y desarrollador de la galardonada aplicación Snapseed para edita imágenes, por una suma no revelada.

Google y Facebook Inc están inmersos en una batalla por atraer a los fanáticos de las redes sociales que cada vez más se pasan a las aplicaciones móviles, como la edición de fotografías.

Si bien no es tan famosa como Instagram, disponible en forma gratuita en los dispositivos móviles de Apple, Snapseed ha ganado muchos seguidores entre los fotógrafos por su capacidad de edición de imágenes a pesar de un precio de 4,99 dólares.

Nik Software dice que Snapseed tiene más de 9 millones de usuarios, en tanto Instagram dice tener más de 100 millones.

"Queremos ayudar a nuestros usuarios a crear fotos que les encanten, y según nuestra experiencia Nik lo hace mejor que nadie", posteó en Google+ Vic Gundotra, vicepresidente senior de ingeniería.

Facebook compró este año Instagram, que desarrolló una aplicación para que los usuarios agreguen filtros y efectos a las fotos que sacan con sus teléfonos inteligentes, por la friolera de 1.000 millones de dólares.

Snapseed obtuvo en el 2011 el premio de Apple Inc "Aplicación del año para iPad" por su interfaz multitáctil de edición de fotos.

"Siempre aspiramos a compartir nuestra pasión por la fotografía con todos, y con el respaldo de Google esperamos poder ayudar a muchos millones más de personas a crear fotografías impresionantes", señaló Nik Software en su sitio en internet.

Gundotra dijo que Google+ había alcanzado más de 400 millones de usuarios esta semana y había traspasado los 100 millones de usuarios activos mensuales.

SAN RAMON, California, 19 de septiembre de 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- GENIVI Alliance, una asociación de la industria de automoción y electrónica de consumo que impulsa el desarrollo y adopción de una plataforma de referencia abierta In-vehicle Infotainment (IVI), ha anunciado hoy que su desarrollo de componentes pasará a nuevos proyectos de comunidad de fuente abierta públicos patrocinados por la Alianza.

Todo el código especificado para el cumplimiento con GENIVI está, y continuará estando, formado por componentes autorizados de fuente abierta. Hoy, el 95% de los componentes de software para el cumplimiento de GENIVI está ya adoptados o adaptados desde los proyectos de fuente abierta existentes.

Cuando la Alianza fue inicialmente capaz de encontrar un hogar en la comunidad para algunos componentes, GENIVI había desarrollado originalmente ese software "in-house". A través de estos proyectos patrocinados recientemente creados, los componentes ahora se desarrollarán en la comunidad FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software).

"Ofreciendo a GENIVI los recursos centralizados para alojar su código, podemos ayudar a incrementar la colaboración en la comunidad Linux y de fuente abierta", dijo Jim Zemlin, director ejecutivo de la Linux Foundation.

Todos los proyectos se mantendrán por GENIVI a lo largo de su vida dentro del entorno de fuente abierta. Cuando se considere beneficiosa, GENIVI también puede fusionar proyectos específicos con otros proyectos existentes de éxito en la comunidad para impulsar el desarrollo.

Adicionalmente, la Alianza también patrocinará nuevos proyectos de "incubation" para el software IVI de automoción en la comunidad de fuente abierta. La seguridad del popular navegador de Microsoft qued? ayer de nuevo comprometida. La multinacional se vio obligada el lunes por la noche a advertir a sus usuarios de un nuevo agujero en su producto que hace vulnerables a los ordenadores a los ataques de hackers. La compa??a, capitaneada por Steve Ballmer, inst? a los clientes a descargar un software de seguridad para reducir el riesgo de la infecci?n, ya que el problema afecta a cientos de millones de usuarios. Concretamente, la vulnerabilidad detectada pone en peligro al 32% de usuarios de internet en todo el mundo, seg?n datos de la firma de medici?n StatCounter.

"Somos conscientes del ataque que afecta potencialmente a algunas versiones de Internet Explorer... Hemos confirmado que la versi?n 10 no se ve afectada", explic? Microsoft, que recomend? a los clientes descargarse un software de seguridad para reducir el riesgo de contaminaci?n de este malware, que es utilizado para robar datos o tomar el control remoto del ordenador.

El gigante de Redmond insisti? en que van a seguir investigando el problema y que tomar?n todas las medidas adicionales necesarias. 18 de setiembre se esta realizando los festejos mundiales del Día del Software Libre.

En dicho evento se busca difundir el software libre, abordándolo desde charlas de expertos hasta experiencias reales de usuarios comunes. También se intenta “evangelizar” a autoridades gubernamentales, instituciones educativas y empresas para que se animen a dar el salto hacia tecnologías libres.

El evento se desarrollará el mismo día en todo el mundo y en muchas ciudades; en Argentina, hasta ahora, hay 14 ciudades confirmadas, entre las cuales podemos encontrar a Rosario, la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Neuquén, Córdoba, San Miguel de Tucumán, entre otras. Si se animan a ir , encontraran muchas charlas informativas y participativas donde podrán interiorizarse más en la temática del software libre.

BYRON Bay sex shop owner Stephen Keen has accused Woolworths of discrimination after he says his car, which advertises his business, was banned from their supermarket carpark in Mullumbimby

But Woolworths claims their only objection to Mr Keen was that he was leaving his vehicle for too long in their carpark.

Mr Keen from Krystal Adult World says he was shocked to receive a phone call from a Brisbane-based Woolworths employee on Tuesday advising his vehicle was not welcome in their Mullumbimby carpark and threatening to call the police if he didn't comply.

The Woolies employee claimed they had received complaints from the public about his car.

Although she did not explain the nature of the objections, Mr Keen assumed it was because he advertises his adult business on the side of his car.

Mr Keen said he was being discriminated against despite running a legal business.

"I thought someone was playing a prank on me," Mr Keen said.

"I've done nothing wrong. "What do I have to do, put a cover over my vehicle before I go in there?"

Mr Keen admitted that after shopping at the supermarket, he sometimes left his car for hours in the carpark for safekeeping while he conducted business elsewhere in the town.

"But there's no sign against it," he said.

However, Woolies spokesman Benedict Brook, while acknowledging there was no signage against lengthy stays, said their staff member had only requested that Mr Keen use their carpark for "a more reasonable amount of time".

"In this instance, our store staff had noticed a vehicle parked repeatedly for long periods of time, sometimes for up to 10 hours a day," Mr Brook said.

"We treated this person as we would any customer found to have parked for extended periods of time on multiple occasions."

Las marcas de calzado Stuart Weitzman y Marc New York presentarán sus campañas llenas de "50 Sombras" en los números de septiembre de las revistas de moda; la primera con zapatillas negras y botas altas tipo Anastasia Steele llamadas "50/50", no por los exitosos libros de sadomasoquismo, sino porque tienen partes iguales de cuero y piel sintética.

"Stuart siempre ha sabido que la gente piensa en zapatos, sueña con zapatos. Desean zapatos las 24 horas del día todos los días", comentó Susan Duffy, vicepresidenta de mercadeo de Weitzman. "Es casi como 50 sombras de Grey. La gente quiere 50 pares de zapatos, es una aventura amorosa".

EMI Music también cayó rendida. El sello discográfico lanzará Fifty Shades of Grey: The Classical Album el próximo mes. Maxey and Grounds of Wisbech are advertising the two storey former Little Chef restaurant for use as a shop or possible conversion back to a restaurant.

Grounds and Maxey partner John Maxey said his firm had been instructed by the owner Tony Ibrahim to find a tenant.

“We were instructed at the end of last month and details are now available,” said Mr Maxey.

The 240 square metre unit is being offered on a negotiable lease for £15,000 a year.

Four years ago district councillor Phil Wait resigned his seat on Fenland District Council following planning approval.

Councillor Robert Scrimshaw, a local farmer, then won the seat in a by election, arguing at the time that it was not for councils to make moral judgements.

“They can only act within the law,” he said at the time. “I can fully appreciate the concerns local residents have about the Guyhirn adult shop but I also realise in today’s economic climate encouragement should be given to a new business venture in a building which had been unoccupied for some time and was beginning to look quite shabby.”

He also attacked Phil Wait for resigning noting that it was “usual to stay around and fight your corner.”
