Recently I had the honor of location scouting and managing locations for the international award winning photographer Michael Schnable for a BASF global campaign.

Recently I received a call for an upcoming Avon project, being considered to shoot in the San Francisco area. These are a few of the production stills I photographed while managing the project. I had a great time location scouting for “Romance” in the streets of San Francisco and the surrounding hills. When the ads are published I will blog about them here. Stay tuned!

Recently I had the joy of working with Rob Howard on a job for Chase. Production was handled by Planet Pre Pro, location scout and management were handled by yours truly. Other than working with Rob, one of the other joys was to find a hospital we could use for our photo shoot in San Francisco.
The client really wanted to use a modern hospital facility, it was no easy task to find such a location in a short period of time. Fortunately I had just the connection for a hospital that unfortunately no longer allowed filming. I put my thinking cap on and came up with a plan. We ended up photographing at the hospital that no one else is allowed to use. I am working on a plan to allow more filming at this location in the near future. I recently stumbled upon this road in the forest near San Francisco, while location scouting for Avon Cosmetics. They did not need a forest but maybe you do. Click on the picture to see more views.

It has been a little more than a year since these photos were taken by Christopher Wilson. I have seen more and more of these little Fiat’s on the street ever since. They are great for parking on the streets of San Francisco. I recently found myself location scouting in San Francisco inside a grand home in Pacific Heights.  Four flights of stairs with a room full of life on each floor. For now I am posting the staircase. More of the grand home to come soon. Click on the image to see my walk “down” the staircase.

This past Summer I had the pleasure of location scouting in San Francisco for the Oxelo Skateboard folks.

A few facts I learned -

Recently SF Locations scouted and managed locations for Fiat in the streets of san francisco

A film friendly pre war industrial building  location near san francisco – amazing natural light and plenty of space and power if you want to bring your own light.

These are the first four locations for San Francisco locations’ (sflocations) homepage slideshow. As you can see the streets of San Francisco location was scouted for a Volvo project.  The vista location of downtown San Francisco was for a Toyota project. The other two locations are in-house scouting experiences adding great film friendly locations to the sflocations library.
