Please join the Friends of Sharon Art Studio, the San Francisco Recreation & Park Department, and the members of the McInerney family on Saturday, September 20th, from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Sharon Art Studio, for an evening of remembrance and renewal, celebrating the installation of two new high fire ceramics kilns. We will be dedicating the new kilns in honor of Kitty and Jim McInerney, whose humanitarian spirit and legacy gift established the Kitty Kiln Fund to ensure a thriving ceramics program at Sharon Art Studio for many years to come.

These two new kilns were funded largely in part by the Kitty Kiln Fund which is now nearly depleted. All donations and proceeds from a silent auction of unique, one-of-a-kind pieces crafted by Sharon Art Studio instructors and staff (past and present) will replenish the Kitty Kiln Fund.

Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served, and the entire event is FREE! Tickets can be reserved here. For more information, click here.

Join us on Saturday, September 20th, from 4pm-7pm at the Sharon Art Studio for a special evening of remembrance and renewal, as we celebrate the partnership between Friends of Sharon Art Studio and San Francisco Recreation & Parks and officially dedicate our new studio kilns, which were a unique gift made possible through donations made on behalf of the memory of Kitty McInerney and her connection to the Sharon Art Studio ceramics program. Light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will compliment a gathering of friends.  A silent auction, in combination with donations received from guests, will help maintain our Friends of Sharon Art Studio’s “Kitty’s Kiln Fund.” We will be dedicating our two new ceramics kilns in memory of Kitty and Jim, acknowledging their generosity and honoring their humanitarian spirit and vision of a thriving ceramics studio for years to come. Members of the McInerney family will be present to help share  memories and magic. The event is FREE!Donations are encouraged and can be made on the official Sharon Art Studio website and at the event.

Celebrate spring at our annual Eggstravaganza event on Saturday, April 19, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Sharon Meadow in Golden Gate Park.  This family-friendly event features egg hunts, carnival rides, games, live entertainment, kids activities and a heated barbecue competition between Rec and Park, SF Police and SF Fire.  $8 per person. Valet bicycle parking provided by the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. Generously supported by Kaiser Permanente and Zynga.org.
