Glamour Doll Eye Shadows!

Hey everyone! So a few days ago these arrived for me in the mail, kindly sent by http://glamourdolleyes.com/ so that I could do a couple of tutorials! :) I decided I wanted to do a little blog review, because I have already got a review on my YouTube channel (from ages ago) as well as some swatches.

I would link to each color but the site is temporarily down - eyeshadows aren't listed. It will be back and running ASAP though :)

This color is called Ahoy Sailor! :) I did a tutorial using this and a couple of the others. I'll put a pic at the end, it will be up on my YouTube channel in maybe a week. This color is THE best blue ever. Its so vivid, its crazy. Looks amazing on my skin - I can only imagine how freaking good this would look on a dark skinned girl! Gorgeous. Matte.

This is 'Tattooed'. An amazing vivid purple. It has tiny little silvery purply shimmers in it, sooo pretty and looks amazing foiled.

This one is called Sterling Glitz. Its a whitish silver glitter! I love me some glitter and this looks amazing on its own packed over a base such as LASplash liner and shadow sealer, and also over top of eyeshadows to add some sparkle :)

This one is called Techno, its a aqua/green glitter and is AMAZING. I love this one! Tutorial coming soon :)

This color here is a muted green called Big Brother which is super similar in color to MAC Pastorale pigment which is one of my favs.

Annnd this one here is called Skin of a Killer which is a more finely milled glitter/sparkle color similar to Sterling Glitz. I layered them both once and it looks awesome!

Sleek Haul & Swatches

The Au Naturale Palette!

As you can see, some colors have better payoff than others, but overall this palette contains some awesome neutral shades! These swatches are without a base too, sooooo pretty good :)

The Oh So Special Palette - one of my favs! Many of the shades seem to be super unique.

The ACID Palette! So bright and pigmented - I dunno how they made the colors so vivid and fleuro! So cool :)

Lifes a Peach swatch - comes off a perfect peachy pink shade once blended onto the cheek!

Face Contour Kit in Light - Havent tried this one yet, but heard amazing things! We shall see :)

These Pout Polishes are AMAZING! I got Powder Pink and Peach Perfection. So pretty, moisturising, and taste awesome too!

Cloud Nine Pout Paint :) Excited to mix this with my OCC Lip Tars.

And two lipsticks in Baby Doll & Mulberry! Love them both :)

New Shoes - Jeffery Campbells & Hannahs

Heyaaa! If you watch my Vlog channel, where I do follow me around slash day in the life videos, you know I have bought a couple of pairs of shoes this week! I love them so much, I wanted to do a blog post to show you the details. I'm wearing my JC's right now as I type :D

First pair I got from Hannahs. $99.00, but it was buy one get half off, and the three of us (bridesmaids) paid together and divided by three to make it fair. I think these are in the sale section, so if you want them go now! Especially while they have this good deal - there were lots of CUTE pairs <3

Annnd they look 5x better on than in these photos! They are super flattering and a super nice neutral nude pink color.

Here are my JC's! They are the Mariel style, in the black floral. I took some close ups of the print so you can see. I love these! SO comfy, so high, and believe it or not - they go with so many different clothing items and outfits.

I got these for like $70 (can't remember exactly and cbf going to my room atm) and they RRP for $200 ish at Shoe Connection. I was NOT going to pay over $130 for them, and at the moment they are $180 at Shoe Connection on sale.

These were from a random shoe clearance liquidation site next door to Wildpair in Palmerston North. Enjoy the eye-candy :D

NYX Matte Lipstick Swatches & Comparisons

I know I did a video already on these lipsticks, but I wanted to photograph the colors and some other colors that are comparable, or just other shades to show comparison. I did lip swatches and also swatches on my hand, because I know sometimes its hard to tell what its going to look like just from a color swatch.

Nars Angelika Blush vs. Elf Fushia Fusion DUPE

The other day I received my ELF order, and saw that my new ELF blush in the shade Fushia Fusion is super similar to my Nars Angelika blush, which has been a favorite of mine this month. Here are some pictures, and at the end i'll tell you my verdict on how close they are, and what one I like more.

Above and below are photos of my face with no blush. Only wearing foundation and a tiny amount of Bourjois bronzer.

And above and below is with blush.

This side (above photo) is Nars Angelika,

And this side (above) is Elf Fushia Fusion.

On the face, they look practically the same. Same shimmer, same pink, apart from one difference. The Elf blush is a tiny bit baby pinker - think MAC Well Dressed. Angelika is a more powerful and bright color, but that difference is tiny. If you want this pretty pink effect, either one will do. And I do not find the shimmer to be over bearing at all, either :)

I applied each blush with a different, clean brush each time to make sure the color was 100% pure.

I prefer Nars packaging, even though it gets even dirtier then Elfs one. The mirror is bigger, the glue appears to be stronger, the packaging is sturdier, and the label on the back is bigger, clearer, easier to read. The only bonus to the Elf is that you can see the color through the top of the lid.

You can see here what I mean by Elf's being a bit more pinker/lighter/pastel/milky. Ever so slightly, as if a tiny bit of MACs Well Dressed was blended in with Nars Angelika.

Overall they are so similar that I would have to say I prefer Nars Angelika. Thats because I prefer the packaging and the texture of the blush, it blends better and has slightly better pigmentation than the Elf one. But, for the price, if you want this color go for the Elf one. I probably would have if I had known, and didn't already have the Nars one. :)

Feather Extensions

I got sent these from a subscriber! Can you believe it? How lovely. She emailed me and let me know that she loved my videos and found them helpful, and wanted to send me a thank-you gift. I was just so happy :) Gotta love sweet people like this!

She let me pick a pack, so I chose the ones names 'Puppy Love'. Now, lemme say, she didn't even ask me for anything in return of sending these to me, it was all out of the kindness of her heart! But I just had to share, and I knew I would get questions anyways :)

She said that they are pretty long so would look nice in my hair, which... they totally do :) I have them in right now, pics will be at the bottom.

Cute packaging!! This is the actual envelope it came in.

These are actually micro-beaded extensions, meaning they are semi permanant. I was already familiar with this process since I have had extensions before. I had micro ring ones when I was a blonde :D

Its simple really, all you need are a pair of pliers to squash the ring, there are additional instructions on how to apply them on her site.

I love them! My fav's are the really pale pinkish ones. The brown ones blend into my hair but add a cool striped effect. And then the purple ones are just super fun :D

Bettyshoe Goodies

This morning the two things arrived that Bettyshoe sent me! I was super excited. Well, my excitement level was a 5/10. The story goes like this. I start ripping open the box, see the bag, see the shoes, start screaming OMG I LOVE THESE, excitement level was then 10/10. Richy laughed at me. Boys don't understand the joy in clothes/shoes/makeup/etc do they?!

You drunk?! No, thats just my low shutter speed and shaky arms at 7.30am. OOPS :)

They are twice as gorgeous in person that in the photos on the website, and they look cute on there!

They have a Suede feel (Synthetic) and feel soooo soft. Both inside and outside. I wore them all day before writing this and so far so good as far as comfyness. The angle your foot is on is not too severe so they are easy to walk in too! Mine are in a size 7, slightly too big, but they came with free heel grips which make them perfecto! Even got free squishy thingies too. :D

You will see these in an Outfit of the Day soon enough! OBSESSED! And they come in a cool clear show box too! Great for storage and protection, and they look cool too :)

And I got this bag! ITS SO CUTE! I swear i'm not getting paid or anything, i'm just excited LOL. Its smaller then my other bag which is awesome cause I always carry too much, so now I have to keep my essentials only. Don't get me wrong, its still a great size, just not a 'carry my life in here' bag. Do ya wanna see a whats in my bag video?

NYC Blushable Creme Sticks

I went on Ebay the other day to look for some NYC Creme Sticks. I remember ages ago everyone and their dog raved about these, and I only just thought about looking on Ebay for them (LOL dumbass).

I found two. I went on Ebay, typed in NYC Creme Stick, hit "lowest price & shipping" and purchased the cheapies ;)

I got the colors "Plaza Pink" and "Pink Flash". Both are fantastic spring shades. I love to wear cream products on my cheeks in the warmer months, so these will be perfect, along with my new NARS Multiple in Orgasm (which I love).

Here are some pictures and swatches! I'll get on to the review after these.

As far as packaging goes I feel like it is SO ugly. I gave it 2/5 because it works. What I mean by that... Its pretty easy to apply, as it is in a stick form and you can apply it directly to the face, however you need to be careful you do not apply too much, as i'll elaborate on soon.

Pigmentation is excellent. I gave it 5/5 because I can't fault it. It gives off a huge amount of color with one small swipe on the skin, even more than on the paper you can see here. I will show you swatches on the skin below.

Blendability is awesome. I gave it 4/5 which is pretty darn good. Because of the texture, 4/5 also, it just blends so nicely into the skin. The texture is almost kind of silicon feeling. Its just super soft and not chunky or thick at all. You just need to be careful, as said in packaging, if you apply it right from the tube. Because its so pigmented, it is so easy to apply a bunch too much. You can use a brush directly onto the stick and apply it that way to minimize the risk of adding far too much. A little goes a LONG way.

Longevity is excellent too! Even swatching it alone on my hand, it stays there most of the day, even after a few washes of my hands! Thats why it earnt a 5/5. On my cheeks, at least, it lasts all day. Especially when used with a blush or setting powder on top. Thumbs up from me! :)

More Accessories!

It seems that bling is my guilty pleasure. Only once have I spent full price on an item from there, and even then the thing I bought was only $7.99

I think they were having a sale in general, can't remember how it went, they always have things reduced or buy one get one, buy two get one.. etc, etc.

I got three things the other day & thought I'd share since these are in stock still. I was a good blogger and even kept them in their packaging, nice and new :D

Here's what I got :)

This cute cross ring :) It looks like a double finger ring from the top, but its really a single finger one... Which I like. It means its more comfortable to wear IMO. Super cute! There was also a cross like this with chunkier diamantes, but I thought this one was cuter.

This ring is TOO cute! I had to have it :) It has the prettiest design on it. I love the embedded crystals!

These look familiar? I have these in pink too... I LOVE THEM! I saw them in black and needed them ASAP. ;)

Ebay Accessory Haul

Hey everyone :)

Some of the jewelry I ordered off Ebay came in today! I thought I would share some pics with you guys, and I'll probably show these in a video a bit later on :)

All of this stuff was really cheap from a store called Hellopy2011

One of the things I was disappointed in, I'll show you as I go.

This ring is supposed to be a replica of the YSL ring that was out a while ago, I think it was about $3USD. Its super cute, but a tiny size. I have slim fingers (size S usually at Bling/Equip/Diva) and find this hard to get off. I wear it on my ring finger.

Some days I feel like wearing tons of rings at once. This ring is small and pretty and delicate looking, with tiny little pearl looking bumps over it. It just looks really feminine, and not to mention super cute with my pink nail polish right now.

I felt obliged to buy this little camera ring, because I love photography haha. Its pretty cute, quite cheap looking (not like any of this stuff looks expensive but you get what I mean) and a bit rough around the edges. Not sure how often I will wear this, but it'll probably look pretty cute on a casual dress day.

These earrings are also a bit rough but cute none the less. They look nice in contrast with my dark hair, and big flower/floral earrings like this are a must for me during the warmer months. They look super cute with a messy bun or pony tail when you want to look put together without really trying.

I don't know what came over me that made me want to buy this ring LOL but its so cute. Its a little black rhinestoned skull with a pink bow. It looks quite grunge-glam and would look cute with pink nails and a simple outfit.

I'm pretty gutted about this necklace. It looked a LOT bigger in the photo on the Ebay shop. Suppose it serves me right for not checking the measurements. Its so tiny and delicate I feel like it will break as soon as I put it on. Its kinda cute, but the chain is an awkward small length and look how fragile it looks!

This last one I think is so cool :D Its an octopus, with an antique gold finish. Cute with a simple white tee, shorts and a fedora for spring. It is pretty long, I really like this one.

Maybelline NY Age Rewind Concealer Review

I wanted to do a review on Maybelline New York's "Instant Age Rewind" Concealer.
Apparently it is discontinued but I got it from http://www.snatchadeal.co.nz/

Color: I have the shade fair, and it is nearly too light for me. It would suit mac shades 10-15, im about a 15-20 and its only just wearable. If you have light/medium skin go for the next shade up, and if you have medium skin go for the darkest. There is not a good match for dark skin. The concealer is a sort of salmon color, great for dark circles.

Consistency: Pretty thin but great build-able coverage. It is not thick and does not cake up or sink into fine lines. It is super moisturising and brightening.

There is 11ml in this container, it is going to last a very long time. You only need the tiniest dot to cover both undereyes. I like to use my finger or a fluffy brush to blend it in.

This concealer is fantastic and I really recommend it. It got a rating of 3.9 out of 5 on makeupalley, but personally I would give it a 4.5. I love it as much as my MAC select coverup. Grab it if you can find it off ebay, trademe, or some other site. Love it! :)

Shoe Heaven

I just placed an order on LuLus.com for four pairs of shoes! I know, I said I woudn't be shopping for ages as it is my birthday soon (want to save money for a shopping trip in Wellington) but I really wanted a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Litas for my birthday. I didn't wanna splash out and pay a few hundred for them so I found this pair on LuLus for only $45 USD!! The exchange rate is SUPER good right now for USD to NZD so I thought it could be an early birthday present to myself :)

As you can see, they aren't identical to Litas, but are super similar in style. I have been swooning over these for ages, and will look amazing for the rest of winter, and any weather where I need to wear jeans or tights/leggings.

There was a catch. Shipping to New Zealand was a flat rate cost of $45 also! But, its a fixed rate, which meant in MY mind, I needed to make the shipping worth it by buying lots more -_-

My mind works in mysterious ways! LOL

I also got the GLITTER pair! *dies*

They are freaking amazing. I don't know how I'm going to style them yet, but I figured if I don't end up wearing them I will just sell them on trademe.co.nz and win my money back lol :) $45 again.

Also got this pair of wedges, SO CUTE *dies again*

These will be cute for any season, and I love the wooden heel. They just look so super chic! Hopefully my feet fit sit in them nicely, as I often have a problem with these style shoes slipping from my heel. They were only $34! Bargain.

And last but not least, I got this pair also! Super cute for casual with a pair of skinny jeans.

$36! Hopefully they will be comfy as they don't have a platform, but I got all the boot shoes in a half size bigger so I could put gel inserts in.

Can't wait for this stuff to arrive! Might just include it in a birthday haul when I do that :)

Small Hamilton Haul

Went up to Hamilton with my Mum this week, and decided to do a small haul post, just because this stuff is in stores now and you still might be able to pick up some deals :)

I got, from Equip, these three bracelet things. I actually have no idea what they are for real but I wrap them around my wrists and they look pretty :) I got black, beige and pink. Nail tutorial coming soon on my YouTube channel soon by the way :)

$1 moisturiser from Postie. Its super good and great for your handbag :) I have gone through like 10 of these :)

I got this tan to try out, it was $10

These are from Glassons, reduced to $7 but it was buy one, get one.

And I got this handbag from Glassons also. Couldnt get a decent photo of it but... It was $40 and its beautiful :)

Hey everyone. I'm desperately going to try and start blogging regularly again, hopefully I can keep it up for at least a few weeks while I'm not at university. I'm sitting in my Mums car in Te Awamutu while she's in a store, have my camera on me, and my t-stick... so here are some current loves of mine that I bought along in my travel makeup bag :)

Basically I have been loving, and wearing everyday, NYX India Black Label Lipstick, MAC Well Dressed Blush (Orrrr Pink Swoon, which is similar) and two colors from the infamous Urban Decay Naked Palette.

Pink Swoon and Well Dressed are super similar, and both give a youthful, radiant, pink glow to my cheeks. It freshens up my complexion perfectly and I cannot go without theseeeeee! Absolute love.

I don't even know what to say about India. It has been featured in many of my latest videos, one of them being my favorite lipsticks. Its such a fresh pink toned coral peach. I'm terrible at trying to explain this color but you need to try it out, I swear it is so amazing. Favorite thing ever, along with MACs Playing Koi which I cant find. DOH.

And for my Naked Palette, my everyday eye look has been consisting of Virgin and Hustle. Hustle is a deep brown shade, it almost has purple tones in it similar to MACs Satin Taupe, and compliments my greeny brown eyes perfectly. Virgin is an amazing ivory champagne color, I would love to know if you can buy this color alone? I predict hitting pan in no time. I wear Virgin all over the lid, with Hustle in the crease.

I did a swap with my twitter friend Stacey! http://twitter.com/#!/FineMessInside

She lives in Northern Ireland and when she heard I wanted to sell my MAC Lady Gaga Lipstick she asked if I would be interested in a swap, and obviously I totally was :)

She got me some really nice things and so much more then I expected! :)

I'm looking forward to playing around with these, I have only tried out one thing so far since I was in a hurry yesterday and today to do my makeup.

First, she sent me this adorable card :) I love ladybugs and its so cute <3

She got me these cute bangle thingies, the black one has a Pandora style bead on it :)

Some glitter dust, its black and soooo pretty, I'll be wearing this on a night out some time

Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara, I have been wanting to try this for such a long time!! (And I'll admit its mainly cause of the packaging :D haha)

Three Stila glosses, the white one is SO pretty! I wore it today and yesterday, its like clear with silver shimmer. The coral one is called "fetching" and the pink one is called "smashing". The white ones label came off so I'm not sure of the name.

This quad is SO pretty! I wanna do a look with this. Its called '6-EYES'

A Playboy Duo :) I love the Playboy Bunny symbol, its cute haha. This is super pigmented and called 'Starry Eyed'

A BYS palette, shade 08 Moonlit Shores, and again, beautiful colors :)

I'm looking forward to trying this, its called Collection 2000 Love Your Lips Gloss, it has SPF 20 and the shade is 3 Passion. Its like a fleuro pink :)

This reddish lipstick, Vital Radiance brand and shade Classic Coral

Two lippies, Left one is called Carribean and the right one is Excellent. I tried on Excellent and its a pretty watermelon pink color, and makes your lips look super juicy :) the brand is 'Astor Shine Deluxe'

And a bronzer :) i'm looking forward to trying this out. Its by Royal, and it doesn't state a shade name. Its a nice baked brown shade and I think it will look good on me while I have my fake tanner on :)

Mini MAC Haul

Sooo, my YT friend Ginelle lives near a MAC counter, and that is 3 hours away from where I live (we don't have one in my city) so she offered to pick me up some things and send them up to me! I gave her the money and she went and got these things for me right away, she's so super sweet and totally gorgeous, so defo check out her YouTube beauty channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/beautyandstuff17

The first things I got were two lipsticks from the Quite Cute collection :)

I was so super excited to get these, and I adore them both! Totally recommend them :)

You will have to excuse my focus, using a brand new camera (Canon EOS 60D) and its got like no charge on it and I was in a rush LOL

So Playing Koi is like a peachy toned nude color, which is totally me :)

and St Germain is a barbie pink! Kind of blue toned but not too much. I love it :)

Excuse my lips, was swatching and wiping them lots and my lips are SUPER dry right now since the weather is changing so much and getting windy and cold :(

Annnnnd, Lip Liners!! My first time trying MAC lipliners and already they are sooo much better than any I own. These ones actually glide on really nice and are pigmented.

Again, gross lips. The liners aren't amazingly creamy that they moisturise of course, but they do glide on really well. My lips are being put through hell right now doing all of these swatches lol :\

They do show imperfections as you can see, but with a gloss or lippie on top, they look great! As can be seen in my Lipstick Swatches (I used In Synch)

The liners retail for about $36NZD, and the lippies $40NZD

It all came packaged amazingly! Safe, secure and most importantly (lol) CUTE! A nice touch :)

It also came via Courier Tracked, meaning it shouldn't go lost, which is nice.

There are many different pairs, some the same as this and some similar. Some pieces she makes are one offs. You can also request custom made pieces. They are all beautiful :)

The earrings on. Feel super sturdy and are super shiny and quite light weight also. Not cheap feeling light weight, but not heavy. Hair up for a casual look...

....Or hair down with these earrings for a glamourous and classy look.

Love these! Peek-a-boo style, super pretty, especially when they shine against the light.

And the necklace is super versatile!! I love it even as a bracelet. Its quite edgy and again, it is not super heavy. The chain itself is quite flat, making it super comfy to wear.
