Spongebob

We made a Spongebob Valentine Box this year. It turned out pretty good. It was a big hit with all the kids at school. It got me thinking that you could easily use this as a pinata. Spongebob is living on a shelf in my sons room right now. He hold secret treasures inside....rocks, army guys, notes from ~~girls~~, oh wait as my son would say, "They weren't from girls Mom, they were just from some friends that are girls." :)

Teacher Appreciation Poster

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up soon and the PTA asked a room mom to make a poster for the teachers door. I volunteered. (sometimes my mom brain wonders why I volunteer when I am stressing or rushing to complete the project, but when it is complete, I realize why I do volunteer. The finished project is always worth all the hard work!)

The theme for Teacher Appreciation Week is "I Spy." They wanted our posters to be based off that theme if possible. After days of thinking and thinking and then some stressing and then a little more thinking....me and the head room mom/my good friend Becca came up with this idea. I think it turned out FANTASTIC!

I made a picture of every child in the class. I looked at the class picture and decided that it would be easier if everyone just had a smiley face and then I would make their hair look like it did in the picture. All the kids turned out great and my son was able to find himself and name all the kids in his class on the poster without looking at the class picture. Yay!

Then I made a magnifying glass and made a "magnified" picture of his teacher. We thought the saying, "We spy with our little eyes a GREAT teacher!" was a perfect saying for the theme and those kids sure do have a GREAT teacher. I just printed the words off on my computer. The fonts are Cooper Black and Snap. I was thinking that this would make a cute card too, minus all the little kids faces. Just a face of the person the card is for and the magnifying glass. Yummy Chicken Pot Pie

Here is a simple and yummy recipe that can be made quick and the best part is that the whole fam will like it!

Easy Chicken Pot Pie1lb. boneless skinless chicken breast

1/4 cup Italian dressing

4 oz. cream cheese, cubed

2 TBSP. Flour

1/2 chicken broth

1 pkg (10 oz.) frozen, mixed veggies, thawed

1 refrigerated pie crust

Cook chicken in Italian dressing in large skillet on medium heat for 2 minutes (chicken should be almost cooked through). Add cream cheese, cook and stir until melted. Add flour, mix well. Add broth and veggies; simmer 5 mins. Add more chicken broth if mixture is too thick.Pour mixture into deep dish 1o" pie pan. Arrange pie crust over filling; flute edges. Cut 4 slits in crust to allow steam to escape. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

Good Wednesday Morning to y'all! We added a new family member to our circus this weekend. I thought I would introduce him to everyone.

He is a three year old Golden Retriever.

He is fitting right in with our little fam and our kids and the hubby are OBSESSED with him!

The cuteness is ridiculous right?!

I know, he is a keeper.

I Heart Spray Paint.

Because the hubs and I, are really trying to stay on a budget and be as thrifty and frugal as possible...I have turned to spray paint to help me with some accessories for my master bedroom redo. I went thrifting and found some horrid vases and of course got the eye roll from many who passed my cart thinking, "What in the sam are you going to do with those?" Think outside the box peeps!!

The weather actually warmed up a little and we didn't have hurricane winds, so I ran outside and spray painted to my hearts desire. Man, once you start spray painting, you just want to spray paint everything in sight. It is an addicition.

Aren't they lovely???

Oh and on a side note, do you see that lovely flower watercolor all framed up on my dresser. My dad painted that when he was a kid. Oh, I how I love it.
I am obsessed with this color. I think I bought every can at walmart last month. You can't EVER have enough spray paint.
Load up on all different types of vases that you can find. All mine are glass or ceramic. Oh yes, you can spray paint glass. You can spray praint pretty much anything. That is why I Heart spray Paint!
I used Krylon primer in gray and white on the vases first and then applied my spray paint colors which were:
Glossy White, Bauhaus Gold and Gray
Here is a before of this beaut. A not so lovely shade of purple...scroll down to see its after pic.
And here is the before picture of a few more gems.
All four of these cost me a whoppin' $2.25.
(I don't have befores of everything, because I am a slacker when it comes to before pics.)

Then I found this big ol' clay pot at the thrift store for $5.00. What will I do with it, well spray paint it of course.
Now check them out. All they needed was a little spray paint.

Spring Wreath

I whipped up a cute spring wreath for one of my besties for her birthday. It was easy to make and barely took any time. My kind of project! I started with a simple wood frame and then hot glued moss onto the front, sides and the inside rim. The moss was purchased at the good old Dollar Store.
I glued on some grapevine down in the corner.
Then I made three flowers. I cut a piece of felt in a circle and ripped strips of fabric and glued the fabric in a circle while I twisted it. I used muslin, burlap and cotton material.
Easy Peasy.
I think it looks fabulous!

Painting & Light Fixtures

I got the urge to paint last week. While the hubs was at work and the baby napped, I painted the living room wall red. It is Behr, Red Pepper from Home Depot.

3 coats later, I was loving it.

Earlier in the week, the hubs installed some track lighting for me. He is so handy and I know he secretly enjoys all the honey do projects I give him. ;)

I heart it. I love red and I love my new track lighting.

Red is such a bold color, that is why I decided to only paint the largest wall in the room. Plus, it is the focal point of the room, with the large pictures on it.

I think it turned out great....now to find curtains for the gigantic window.

Ree's Favorite Meatloaf and mine too!

This is by far the best meatloaf I have ever eaten. It has cheese and bacon in it. Enough said.

My family loved it. My babes didn't say much because they were too busy consuming this delicious dish.

The Dino

I wasn't going to post this beauty or should I say scary Dino Valentine Box, but I thought that it could be used for not only Valentines, but for Birthdays or just for play.

My son came home from school and said they were going to have a competition at school to see who has the "coolest" Valentine box. Of course, my idea..."Sweet a shoebox with a slit cut out of the top." I wish the son and I thought the same way. When it comes to my boy it is "Go big or Go Home." He looked at me and said, "I want to make a Dinosaur."

My mom brain said, "Uh Oh. Here we goooooo!"

This is what we ended up with, I think it ROCKS!

Best part, it only cost me $2.00 buckaroos! The head of the Dino and the bottom jaw, were purchased at the Dollar Store.
Here it is in the making. I raided our recycle bin and then my hot glue gun got to work.

We did paper mache on the body with newspaper. Then we spray painted it.
My son did a lot of the work, except the hot gluing part.
You put the valentines in the Dino's mouth and they slide down it's throat into the belly.
It was a HUGE hit with the kids at school!
The Dino and his Alligator buddy. I thought the Alligator was a clever idea too, all of the items to make it were also purchased at the Dollar Store.
Our Dino is still roaming around from room to room at our house. My monster baby keeps feeding it sucker sticks, crackers and socks. Yummy.

President's Day Craft For Kids

Happy Presidents Day!!

My kids are out of school and all morning I have heard, "I'm bored. Lets make a craft." "Can we make a craft?" "When can we do a craft."

After 1 hour of that, I decided to make a craft. :)

Last week when I was cleaning out a bunch of boxes, I came across a folder full of artwork that my hubby had made when he was little. Thanks Mom-in-law for saving a few of J's treasures.

In the folder was this craft:

Do you remember weaving in Elementary School?! I do and I loved it. I pulled it out and showed my babes and they were so excited to make one of their own. They couldn't believe that their dad had made this craft, my daughter said, "That has to be like a 100 years old." Ha Ha! Sorry Hubby, they think you are an old fart. My son said, "Wow dad was a really good weaver." Kids are hilarious!
One side has the silhouette of George Washington and the other side is Abraham Lincoln.
This craft only requires:
Paper
Glue
Scissors
First you are going to measure 1 inch lines down the bottom of your paper. I then lined the pencil marks I made after measuring up with my paper cutter and cut slits. DO NOT cut all the way to the bottom, see picture below.

It should look like this after you cut it. Thanks Blondie for being my paper model.

Then you are going to cut white paper into 1 inch pieces.

Then get weavin'.

This was my babes favorite part. They raced to see who would finish first.

I traced the silhouette of Abe and George from my husbands childhood masterpieces. I am sure you can find some pics on the internet or freehand it.

Cut out the head.

Then glue onto your weaved paper.

Repeat the process with your other President head.

Then you have this:

Blondie chose to make hers a little "girlie" those are her words and use patterned paper.

I think they turned out super cute.

I am going to punch a hole at the top and run some ribbon or yarn through it and hang it up, so you will be able to see both presidents on either side.

Valentines Gifts...I know I know...Valentines is Over.

I know I am LATE on the Valentine Bandwagon, but I still wanted to post what my little ones gave some of their loved ones for Love Day. We have been battling colds and then my computer went on the fritz and so that is why we are just barely posting these.

They were simple, but so cute!

Cupids Arrows. Found this cute idea at Poppies at Play.
Then we painted some cute Dollar Store flowerpots and glued a strip of Valentine Paper around the rim. We cut out paper hearts and the kids wrote a little message and then we taped some suckers to the back of the hearts and stuck them in some styrofoam that we had put in the pot.
We glued on some green paper leaves on the sucker sticks. I cut out a circle of brown felt and put it on top so you couldn't see the very attractive green styrofoam.

These were a big hit with the ladies. My kids love doing projects like this...because it involves painting. These would be cute for teacher gifts and make tulips instead of hearts or mothers day or birthdays. Simple but Cute.

A Yummy Treat

Sorry for the absence, sorry for the broken promises, just plain old sorry.

I have been a blog slacker....a really big blog slacker.

We have colds and my littlest babe is glued to my hip. I am hoping I will drop a good five to ten pounds since I have been lugging her around for 4 days straight, she is a little chubster.

I will TRY to do better, cross my heart.

I did decided to make some yummy treats for Family Night on Monday.

We made, "The best sugar cookies" ever. That is what my babes call them, I will agree, they are so tasty!

I may or may not have eaten four or five.

They are soooo good, they may even be better than chocolate, I said may, I didn't fully say they were better. But, they are close.

Whip up a batch, you won't be disappointed

Best Sugar Cookie Recipe

1 cup margarine

2 cups sugar

1 cup sour cream

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

4 1/2 cups flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

4 tsp baking powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Cream margarine and sugar together. Then add eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Blend well.

Mix in dry ingredients.

Cover and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.

Roll out and cut/form in desired shapes.

Bake for 10-15 minutes.

Enjoy!

Cub Scout: Blue & Gold Banquet

This past weekend was C-R-A-Z-Y Crazy. Super Busy. I did accomplish a few things on my list of stuff to do over the weekend, I will post a few tomorrow.

The main thing I was doing was getting ready for our Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet which was this past Tuesday. Holy Moly, it was lots of work, but very fun.

The hubs is Cub Master and I am Assistant Cub Master.

Our theme for our Blue and Gold Banquet was, "Happy Birthday Cub Scouting."

We served Spaghetti, rolls, salads and cupcakes. Simple and the best part is that we didn't break the bank.

Here are a few pics of the shin dig.

I spent $12 bucks on paper and made this "Happy Birthday" Banner and a few other banners to hang around the room. I also made little flags to go on the cupcakes.
I heart cupcakes. All 160 of them.

I made the cupcake stand. The above one is a clear plate from the Dollar Store and then I took a flower pot, flipped it over, glued the plate on top and then glued on a few strips of paper to the pot and there you have it.

The big cupcake stand is a big food storage can I had. I just covered the can with paper and glued a Dollar Store plate to the top. Super Easy.

The cub scouts made the centerpieces and then we just added some balloons to the tables.

This table had soap carvings for the centerpiece. So creative. All the boys did a great job on the centerpieces.

It turned out to be a really fun night!

Lasagna Toss

Here is a goodie, courtesy of my good friend Tara. I trust her recipes, I have known her since she was five. :)

It is simple, quick and so tasty. My kids LOVED it, so that is always a plus!

Lasagna Toss

1 package large shell macaroni or penne pasta

1 lb. ground beef

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 3/4 cup spaghetti sauce

1 cup cottage cheese mixed with 1 egg & 1 TBSP Parsley

2 cups shredded mozzarella

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a large skillet, brown hamburger with onion, drain the excess fat. Stir spaghetti sauce into meat and simmer 10 minutes or until heated through.

While the sauce and meat are simmering, cook your noodles.

When noodles are done, combine meat/sauce mixture with noodles and mix thoroughly.

In a 2 quart casserole dish ( I used a 9x13 dish) layer meat/sauce/noodle mixture, then cottage cheese/egg/parsley mixture, another layer of meat/sauce/noodle mixture and then top with shredded Mozzarella cheese.

Cover with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

Then Enjoy the oh so yummy goodness!

Lets Make Some Finials

Awhile back, I made these finials for cheap. I decided it was due time for me to whip up a few more. I decided to clean out my craft closet and see what kind of hidden goodies/junk were in there before I went and bought anything.

I found all this stuff in my closet. I hoard craft stuff, I admit it. I buy and then I forget I even have it. It is an addiction. But, hey because of my craft hoarding problem, I had all the stuff I needed to make these finials right away, with out leaving the house. Yay!

I have a ton of candlesticks, I am definitely a candlestick hoarder. I do recall buying the wood pieces at Home Depot a while ago. They are for stair banisters and stuff like that. The faux metal finial thingy is from the Dollar Store.

I painted them and glued them together with E6000. Then I gave them a light sanding on the edges and applied some dark espresson Stain.
Here they are all finished enjoying their new home on my fireplace mantle.

The mantle is still a work in progress. It is a pain to decorate because of that big black thing that my hubs calls his best friend aka the tv. It is my worst enemy.

Now that I am looking at this picture, I am wondering if I should paint all the finials black or should I keep them the multicolors?

My sweet Mother-in-Law, Karen had these fabulous old doorknobs. I heart them. She was so nice to give them to me.

The hubs and I whipped up this project this weekend.

Here she is in all her glory.

We had this cabinet door already painted black and just waiting to be used in a project.
The hubs just screwed the doorknob face plates onto the door and then he had to use a washer and bolt to attach the doorknobs.
I think it turned out fancy.

Best part, everything we used was given to us for FREE! Now we have a stylin' new place to hang our coats.

Master Bedroom Mirror

Happy Monday to y'all. I am hoping your day is going better than mine.

My ears heard lots of, "NO!" this morning. Our van aka the lemon is making another weird noise, I am just hoping it is punking me and nothing is really wrong with the piece of you know what. I sat at the DMV for a bit this morning, ya'll know how super fun that is and then the hubs informed me he may have broken his hand playing bball. SAWEET!

It MUST be Monday right?

On a hap hap Happier note, we finished the mirror for our master bedroom.

One more step to getting the room done.

Ya wanna know what we did, well keep on scrollin' down and I'll tell ya.

I bought 8 black mirrors from Ikea for $2.99 a piece.
Then I got my man helpers (aka hubby & my first born) to attach all the mirrors together using metal plates and screws.

NOW IT LOOKS LIKE THIS!

By attaching all the mirrors together it looks like one large mirror. Loooove it.

Of course, you can hang each mirror separately and it would look great too.

Chair Redo!

I bought this chair at D.I. (Our local thrift store) for a whopping $10 bucks!

When I brought it home, my hubby was not to impressed. I don't know why, this chair is a beaut! Okay, so not really it is hideous.

I decided to take the padding and foam off the top part of the chair....ten hours later it came off. Okay so really it wasn't that long, but seriously whoever had the chair before me really liked glue and staples, ALOT.

The hubs told me to give up, NEVER. I knew this hideous piece of wood and foam had potential! All it needed was some black spray paint and fabric.

See, what did I tell ya?! She is a beaut now! Even the hubs likes it. I put it in the corner of my bedroom and I am Love Love Lovin' it.

All I did was spray paint the frame and covered the seat with some new fabric. Super simple! My kind of project!

The Big Clean

Have you ever seen the show Hoarders?? The other night me and the hubs watched a few episodes. I was speechless by the end of the show and I started looking around my house thinking, "Oh my gosh do I hoard things???" Of course, I am NOT EVEN CLOSE to being a hoarder. But, I got to thinking that I really could declutter my life. The next morning, I decided to tear apart my house and clean every nook and cranny. I am still cleaning.

NOTE: This is NOT my home, this is a picture from the tv show. AAAHHHH!
Hoarding, Clutter, Mess....I think I may be having some anxiety just thinking about the show as I type this.
So far, I have made one trip to the thrift store. It consisted of lots of garbage bags and boxes full of stuff. It was clothes, toys, decorations...if it hadn't been used in the past year, it went bye bye.
It feels great to get rid of the clutter and you will be surprised how much stuff you really have once you start cleaning.
January is a great month to get motivated to clean clean clean. Start the new year off right, with a clean and decluttered home!

Lil' Monsters

I made my kids and their cousin these Lil' Monsters for Christmas.

They LOVED them. Even if the two little ones don't look like they do. I think they were sick of me taking a gazillion pictures of them. I didn't have a pattern. I just winged it. They are crazy and a little goofy. But, that is what makes them fun and unique.

Here is the boy one.
And here is the girl one. My daughter knew I was making these, so she picked everything out on her monster. She is pretty fancy with those big lips and colored nails.
The front of the dolls are a flannel material. The back is felt. Their eyes, mouth, hands and hair are all felt. Then I used embroidery thread for the stitching on the arm, leg and the side of the body.

We made a matching pillow for Carter my nephew. He loved it!

The Lil' Monsters and pillow were simple to make and the kids have had a lot of fun with them.

Lexi's Horse Scarf

My children do gift exchanges with their cousins each year. My son got his cousin Lexi, he was really excited about it. These two get along great and have so much fun when they are together. He really wanted to make her something and so he decided he wanted to give her a scarf and since she loves horses, we decided to sew a felt horse onto the scarf.

We think it turned out pretty cute!

We were out shopping and my son found this red scarf and just knew it was perfect for Lexi. I was going to make one, but he was set on buying this one, so we did.

I found a silhouette picture of a horse on the internet. I printed it and cut it out.

I then cut the picture out of felt.

I sewed it on by hand, using embroidery thread.

Tied up with a ribbon and ready to be gift wrapped!

We hope Lexi likes it!

Christmas Gift Ideas: For the Girls

"All I Want For Christmas....."
Day 3
This evening I am going to share with you some gift ideas for the girls...I will be focusing on toys for kids 4-7 years of age. This is a great age, the little girls still love dolls and princesses and they love to dress up!
All these products I am sharing with you have been played with, watched and read by a princess that is in this age category. (Note: This review is my own personal opinion. No company or person has asked me to review or comment regarding these products. I am doing this review on my own accord.)

Let's Start with Games:

Hot Potato is an all around fun game. You push the potato and it makes music and you have to toss it back and forth before the music stops. The music gets faster and faster right before it stops. You don't want to have the potato when the music stops. My extended family played this once, seriously the adults were laughing hysterically.
What kid doesn't love Memory? It is such a classic game and now the Memory Game comes in all different characters from My Little Pony to Spongebob.

My daughter would play Candyland over and over again each and every day if I let her. She loves this game. It is easy to play and kids never get bored of it.

A Movie Review:

Every Princess with LOVE this movie. It has the classic Princess story of a beautiful Princess trying to find her Prince Charming. The soundtrack is fabulous too!

Flushed Away is hilarious and creative. It has a great story and keeps kids laughing. Kids and Adults will like this movie.

This movie is watched at our home during Christmas time and throughout the rest of the year. The princesses in our house LOVE it. It is a great gift for any child that is a Barbie lover and teaches kids to be kind and giving.

We Love Books:

We received this book as a gift from one of my good friends. My kids can't get enough of it. It is creative and funny. The illustrations are one of a kind. My kids favorite story is "Funky Snowman."

Alice the Fairy is a book every family should own. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Alice is hilarious telling us all about how she is a fairy and the silly things she does. My kids laugh every time we read it.

This is one of my daughters favorite books. She laughs every time we read it. She thinks it is hilarious that the little four year old in the book thinks she is so grown up. It is a keeper.

And how could we forget Pinkalicious and then there is Purplicious and now there is Goldalicious. These books are fantastic. Every Princess needs them!

Video Games:

Wii Carnival Games is a game the whole family will love, but is easy and fun for the little ones to play too.

Toys:

Fisher Price My First Dollhouse is fantastic for the little girls. Hours and hours of entertainment. You have the option to buy more furniture for the home and more people, like a big sister and a grandma.

Play Doh. Every kid loves it. Every parent dislikes it. But, it lets kids be creative and use their imagination...which is a great thing!

The Fisher Price Medical Kit. My kids love this. We always have some kind of stuffed animal or doll hospital going on in our house.

This has probably been one of the best gifts my daughter has ever received. She LOVES this Disney Princess Hair Accessory Tote. Every doll, Barbie and friend she plays with gets a makeover. The blowdryer makes noise too, which is her favorite.

The Leapfrog Leapster is such a great gift. They learn their letters, numbers, shapes and patterns. They can do art and play games. These are great for long road trips in the car too!

Barbie. Any little Princess would love anything Barbie. But, this Barbie pool is a fun gift. It does require some adult supervision, since you don't want water everywhere. But the little ones love it and the big dog paddles in the water and the diving board flips up and makes the puppies jump off. Lots of fun!

Pillow Pets are huge right now. I can see why too, they are cute and very soft. They have several different animals to choose from too.

Every Princess needs dress up clothes. The bin of dress up clothes in our home gets played with daily, they are definitely worth the money. Polly Pockets. Yes they are tiny. Yes there are a million different outfits for them. Yes I suck polly pockets shoes up in the vacuum daily, but the girls love them. They put them in their coat pockets, in their little purses. Take them to church to play with. For some reason, anything that small is just fun and cute.

Christmas Gift Ideas: For the Boys

Today I am going to share with you some gift ideas for the boys...I am going to focus on toys for kids 7-10 years of age. I think this is such a fun age! The kids are so creative, imaginative and they are always on the go!
All these products I am sharing with you have been played with, watched and read by a cute kid that is in this age category.

Let's start with Games! Our family loves games and not just video games, we love the classic board games. Here are a few we recommend.

Lego Creationary is a new game that Lego has come out with. If you have a Lego fan in your home, this is the game to get! It gives kids the opportunity to be creative, imaginative and show off their Lego building skills!

Ned's Head is probably one of my kids favorite games. As a parent I think it is strange, but in a kids eyes it is hilarious! My kids laugh and laugh at this game. You are given cards with pictures on them and you have to put your hand into Ned's head and feel around to try to find what was on the picture. Believe me, there are some interesting things in Ned's Head!

The game Zingo is a twist from the classic Bingo game. This game is fun for younger kids too. Kids can set this up and play it without an adults help. It helps kids with their reading and matching skills. This one is fun for the whole family!
I couldn't leave out Operation. My kids still love this game after playing it over and over again. There is just something about the noise the game makes when your tweezers accidentally hit the side. My kids laugh every time, but they are always determined to get the pieces out no matter how many time they have to try.

Now onto a few video games....

Just Dance for the Wii has been around for a while, but Wii recently came out with Just Dance 2 and Just Dance Kids. My kids LOVE Just Dance! Not only is it a blast to dance around and rock out to the music, it is good exercise. I highly recommend this game for kids and adults too!

Super Mario Brothers Wii is a blast. It keeps kids entertained and who doesn't enjoy Mario and Luigi, they are a classic! (my husband plays this game more than the kids!)

Move Time!

Diary of a Wimpy kid is F-U-N-N-Y, funny! When we watched it for the first time, I think me and my husband laughed harder than the kids. Funny characters and kid and adult humor, make this show hilarious!

Watch out though, you may get the "cheese touch!"

Hotel for Dogs is an all around good show. It has a great story, humor and if your kids love dogs, buy it! My kids never get sick of this movie!

1. Dragons 2. The underdog triumphs 3. Funny 4. Dragons (did I say that already)

Seriously, kids will like this movie just for the dragons, but believe me it is a goodie that that whole family will enjoy!

A Good Read.

There are so many good books out there. But here are a few of our favorites.

See Inside Your Body is by Usborne books. It is a very well written book to let kids learn and explore about the human body.

One reason I like this book is we have had a few family members have surgery and believe it or not this book came in really handy when we were explaining to our kids why Papa had to have heart surgery.

CLASSIC. We Love Indian in the Cupboard. This book is the trilogy and it is a keeper. What a fabulous book, my son loved every minute of it!

Dinosaurumpus. Is funny, witty and catchy. Kids love this book and believe me you will be in the grocery store or car and all of a sudden your kids will start singing, "Shake Shake Shudder near the Sludgy Old Swamp..."

There is a reason Diary of a Wimpy Kid is The #1 New York Times Bestseller. They are funny and creative and the book is a novel in cartoons. It is every kids dream!

Toys Toys Toys

There were so many toys are out there, I didn't even know where to start, so I narrowed it down to a few. The prices vary from not to pricey, to I really want to spend some cash on this kid.

The Nerf Basketball. It clips onto a door and gives your kids an opportunity to throw a ball in the house. Enough said. Oh and your husband will enjoy it too!

The Plasma Ball. I know this one is a little out of the ordinary, but these things are cool! Kids love them and amazingly they are not to pricey.

Lego Hero Factory. You can build them big or small. You can interchange the pieces from other characters. Again, if your kid loves Lego's, these make a great gift.

The Electric Razor Scooter. This is my most expensive gift listed. This scooter is fun and easy for kids to ride. It charges by being plugged in. This scooter is a hit with kids!

The light saber. I don't know who will like it more your child or your husband. Usually I am not a huge fan of swords, but kids LOVE these and believe me there have been some pretty intense saber fights in my backyard. The kids love to get into character when playing with these and believe me when I say they get really good at making the light saber swooshing sound.

If your kid likes rocks, they will love this. My son thinks this is the coolest thing ever. An adult definitely needs to help with the many different steps you have to go through to get your rocks polished. But in the end, the kids are amazed and proud of the things they can make with their polished rocks...key chains, rings and necklaces.

Any kid would love to receive some Spy Gear. There are so many different items to choose from from the Spy Decoy Listener to the Decoding Pen and there are even Night Vision Goggles.
