I love my boyfriend. He is sweet and generous and kind, and oh so cute! But he had to leave town and is gone over our first Valentine's day together. Here is a horrible picture of the card I made him. The inside is just a little poem I wrote to him about our wonderful and new relationship...(that's private, hehe)

I used black Bazzill Swiss Dot Cardstock for the base, Anna Griffin Glitter Chipboard Letters for the title, Anna Griffin Red Flocked Paper and White Cardstock for the scalloped heart (cut on the Cricut), edged the heart with Clearsnap Gold Smooch, and the red tulle and white button are from my stash (Just cut two notches to slip the tulle through).

What a Wild Ride!

It seems like just last week that the tree was up, the holiday carols were playing and my home smelled of my homemeade goodies. But alas, it is almost the second month of the year and so much has happened and is about to happpen! The photo to the left tells tales of alot of product coming through my teeny little apartment. Lol, my teenager has been a real sport about it all too. (Just wait until later today when I ask her to start helping me bag up 600 kits....LOL!)

I appeared on HSN promoting Purple Cows' 1060 Smart Trimmer. It was a fantastic experience, and a huge learning one at that! Everyone there was so helpful, and we all had a great time working together. Even though we "vendors" were competing for the viewer's dollar, no one was treated poorly. We all worked as a team, and since I was the newbie, all of the other vendors were so kind. Ginger from Provo Craft was promoting the Gypsy, Cuttle Bug, Cricut, YUDU, and some great accessories for those products as well. Lol, I have everything but the "Gypsy" and the "Your Story" from Provo Craft, and thought I wasn't going to purchase it, because I "wouldn't get alot of use out of it", but after the presentation on HSN, lol, I am saving my pennies for it, and fully intend on blogging it once I get my hot little hands on it! So if you haven't bought itby the time I get it, I will let you know how I like it...

Anna Griffin presented a great line that I was blessed to see, feel, and play with, WOW, she is so talented, right? I want it all, NOW! LOL.

CHA starts this week and it all begins with the Supershow for the genral consumer. If you are a Purple Cows fan, please come see us, you will not be sorry! I am teaching a class on Friday, that will know your socks off, and I believe there are a few seats left for it. It is an amazing value, and your friends will be jealous when they see the tools you get to keep from the class! We are also going to have make and takes that will make you smile. Between 2-4pm each day of the Supershow, the Diva and Duke from Diva Craft Lounge will be in our booth doing their own special make and takes as well!

Can't wait to post the pics from CHA when I get back, and here in a day or two I will post my project that I created for CHA. Very cute, and functional.

Christmas Eve...Eve...

I had to put snow on my blog. It is the only snow I am going to get here in the desert of Southern Nevada!

I am so sick...there just isn't anything to post except my fake snow...

I just wanted to thank everyone who participated in our blog hop for Purple Cows. It was great fun, and all of your comments were just great!

I am posting a little something that I created a while back. I don't have much time to create right now, since I am getting ready for a super secret work project, as well as CHA next month.

I do more than paper crafts. I sew, I cook, and bake. I love to paint, and actually have some of my pieces in a local art gallery. In case you don't know me personally, I will just let you know that I am fun, loving, kind, erratic, hairbrained, and sometimes absolutely crazy! I am blunt, and always speak my mind. I love God and my country. I love my daughter, and my crafts. People who are close to me, and really know me well, they say I am like Martha Stewart without the stick up her butt.

I will sometimes post crafting, sewing, cooking, or just stupid random stuff here. this is MY blog, just for me. hehe.

So with out further ado, here is my little something to share. This is one of those paper mache book boxes, that I painted, and altered a bit. Inside, you will find and acordian folded print out of my favorite holiday recipes. I hope this gives someone a little inspiration...

Welcome to my "Paper Thing"!

Welcome to my new blog! This is just so exciting to have my blog all set up just in time for this Udderly Mootastic, Purple Cows Holiday Blog Hop! Here is my project, and I hope you have enjoyed the "hop". Don't forget to leave a comment below to be entered in our drawing for a little Holiday gift! Please come back for more, I hope to post something at least once a week to share my "paper thing" with you!

My project is just a simple little card.

First, I cut out this ornament on my Cricut in two colors, then cut them apart to get the dual colored look.
Cut a patterned paper mat (I used Cosmo Cricket's "Jolly by Golly" Silly Chilly paper) that is 1/2" squared smaller than your card base. EX: If your card base is 5"x 7", the cut your mat to 4.5"x 6.5".
Using my Purple Cows #1050 Ultimate trimmer with the short wave blade, I cut my mat, then used my "Peace" stamp and stamped on the spot I wanted the "window" to be. Then I cut the window with a craft knife. With the mat in it's proper place (not adhered), I stamped again in the window so that it was on the actual card base. After that step, I stickled the stamped image, and set aside to dry.
I added the die cut Christmas bulb, then used a bit of craft wire and added a few seed beads for texture.
Then I mounted double sided foam tape to the back of the mat, and leave the backing on, and turned over to add Rock Candy Stickles to the very edge of the window. (Apply it thickly!)
While the Stickles was drying, I started dinner and folded the laundry.
Once everything was dry, I peeled the foam tape backing off, applied to the card base, and woohoo! A sweet and special card for someone I love! (I did do eight of them assembly line style, and without drying time it took about thirty minutes...)
