Samsung to launch 3D television in August

The World of entertainment is switching towards the 3D revolution, as in my earlier post about 3D revolution, depicts the fact that how people are generous about the 3D technology. Samsung is in a lead to launch the first 3D television globally in the first week of August. Apart from being a 3D TV, if also offers a unique feature of a touchscreen remote, which will enable the user to watch all channels on the remote itself.

The Expected price of Television would be Rs 440,000 for a Samsung Series 9000 in 55 inch model.

The world's slimmest 3D TV is set to debut in India which is Samsung series 9000 of 55 inch that is going to come at a price of Rs 440,000.

Ravinder Zutshi, deputy managing director , Samsung India, said

It is also the only company in India that has come out with a 3D range across the wide range of LCDs, the Plasma's and LED's televisions. There is an implementation of another technology known for converting the 2D stream to the 3D.

iPhone 4: Skype with multitasking support now available!

Skype well known for voice over internet calls, with superior call quality rate has a new update in the iPhone stream. Now Skype also supports multi tasking capabiliities of iOS. i.e you dont have to keep the application open all the time just so that you dont want to miss the calls.

Since its just few weeks, iOs launched to the multitasking masses and today, the dream of always on skype becomes a reality. Skype really steped up to the situation and updated its application support to iOS capabilities. Incoming call while the app isn't in view? you'll see a prompt.

You can also move-into another application while on a call? Its no problem now, The skype call will continue.

As per the speculations that skype planning to start charging for skype-to-skype calls made over 3G. Now you dont have to worry, they dropped that idea, but the skype to non skype calls will be the same. hence regardless of any network you are using skype users will be able to have their conversations.

Google Images Update : Its all about images now!

The Search giant Google has a new update in Images domain. Since its launch in 2001, its turned out to be a one and only stop for all the image search. As Google is pretty good at organizing these types of information, but consider all the things you can’t express with words, it helps you.

Coming to the number of images indexed by Google, here’s some info:

In 2001 around 250 million
In 2005 around 1 billion
In 2010(Today) around 10 billion

Google apart from being fast at indexing the images, applied its techniques to make the search even more faster. This also makes the service invincible.

Google is now rolling out its updates in coming few days to match the scope and beauty of this fast growing visual web, with its powerful technology behind the images.

Here’s what’s new in this refreshed design of Google Images:

Dense tiled layout designed to make it easy to look at lots of images at once. We want to get the app out of the way so you can find what you’re really looking for.
Instant scrolling between pages, without letting you get lost in the images. You can now get up to 1,000 images, all in one scrolling page. And we’ll show small, unobtrusive page numbers so you don’t lose track of where you are.
Larger thumbnail previews on the results page, designed for modern browsers and high-res screens.
A hover pane that appears when you mouse over a given thumbnail image, giving you a larger preview, more info about the image and other image-specific features such as “Similar images.”
Once you click on an image, you’re taken to a new landing page that displays a large image in context, with the website it’s hosted on visible right behind it. Click anywhere outside the image, and you’re right in the original page where you can learn more about the source and context.
Optimized keyboard navigation for faster scrolling through many pages, taking advantage of standard web keyboard shortcuts such as Page Up / Page Down. It’s all about getting you to the info you need quickly, so you can get on with actually building that tree house or buying those flowers.

There’s another announcement which Google had to make, a new ad format called Image search Ads. These ads will appear only on Google Images, and they let you include a thumbnail image alongside your lines of text. you can observe this changes rolling out in most of Google’s local interfaces and worldwide over the next few days.

Xbox 360 Arcade : 4Gb internal storage for $199

Get ready to try out the new Xbox 360 hot deal, The Hard drive less Xbox 360 Arcade will soon be replaced with a $199 SKU that comes with 4GB of flash Storage. All this comes out on August 3. If you are waiting for the Kinect deal which is not bundled with the original 360, then unfortunately you have to wait till november to have this bundle with Xbox.

LG Unveils its First 3D Netbook : LG Xnote R590

As one of my previous post about the 3D revolution predicts the expansion of 3D technology, here a cool news LG has recently launched its first 3D notebook called the LG R590. Its a notebook with a 15.6 inch screen, powered by Intel iCore 7 processor, a Nvidia GeForce GT335M graphics card, SRS Tru-Surround HD, optional Blu-ray drive and the and TriDef software which does 2D video to 3D conversion in real time.

Though the announcement has been done in Korea market the impact will be critical. With Laptop manufacturers injecting the latest technology and specifications like iCore with Nvidia graphics its hard to believe such innovations. if you want to have a 3D experience you have to use polarized glasses rather than the shutter glasses.

Procedures For Provisional Certificate,Original Degree,Corrections in Memos,Re-Counting for B.tech Graduates

Procedure to apply for Provisional Certificate

1. Collect application from the Examination cell

2. Get the certification for the award of class by senior faculty member by producing all
original marks memos.

3. Enclose a DD for Rs. 200/- drawn in favour of Registrar, JNTU, Hyderabad Payable at
Hyderabad.

4. The completed application is to be handed over to the examination cell, for forwarding the
same to JNTU. Postal charges Rs.25/- is to be paid( Postal charges Depends on the respective colleges).

5. It may take two to three weeks for getting PC from JNTU through college.

Note:
Any student (B.Tech/B.Pharm) who failed in one theory subject or two theory subjects can also get his / her Consolidated Marks Memo and Provisional Certificate along with the other students (After the deceleration of 4-2 results u can apply for CMM & PC) by submitting the enclosed Undertaking to the University through the concerned Principal.

Procedure to apply for Original Degree & Migration Certificate

1. The procedure to get Original Degree will be announced by JNTU along with the announcement of convocation of that batch. Student may browse JNTU web site: www.jntu.ac.in2. Students have to apply to JNTU, Kukatpally, after paying the required fee at the University. The application & fee details are available at JNTU, Kukatpally, or in web site.

3. The Degree certificate will be sent to the student address by JNTU.

4. Students need not contact their respective College for these certificates.

Procedure for Recounting

1. Fee for Recounting Rs. 100.00 per subject.

2. Fee is to be paid at examination cell in cash along with application. (application cost Rs.5/-)

3. Student has to produce Xerox copy of result for which he is applying. If it is based on result in net, the same is to be downloaded and handed over to the examination cell while applying.

4. No recounting for Lab Marks

Procedure to correct Names in Marks lists

1. Fee of Rs. 50/- per Mark List is to be paid by DD drawn in favour of Registrar, JNTU, Hyderabad Payable at Hyderabad.

2. Student has to apply through Examination cell along with Xerox copy of SSC Marks memo, and Original copies of marks lists on which correction is to be made.

3. Postal charges Rs.25/- is to be paid by student (Depends on the respective colleges).

Split Second Veloctiy: Racing game is fun again

Starting up Split/Second is a bit like taking a wonderful stroll down memory lane, back to a simpler time when racing games were about sliding around corners to impress your girlfriend, or driving as fast as possible through traffic without smashing yourself into next Wednesday. As they demonstrated with Pure, developers Black Rock know exactly how to tap into the core of the gamer-gene; in this case, taking a load of sexy sports cars, sticking them in some of the most beautiful environments to date, and making them speed around at maximum velocity. Oh, and have everything blow up. Split/Second’s fictional city is an urban paradise, built from the ground up for a new type of reality TV show. Each of the eleven or so intertwining courses are littered with an abundance of hazards, traps and things that go boom. Build up your so-called power-play gauge by drifting, jumping and drafting behind opponents and you’ll soon be able to use the rigged track to your advantage, taking out rivals with all manner of incredible explosions. Build the gauge up to the maximum level and huge areas of the track can be destroyed, taking out multiple drivers and creating a whole new route on which to race. Condensing it into a single paragraph doesn’t really do it any justice. The power-plays in Split/Second are like nothing you’ll have experienced in any other game, let alone a racing game. Black Rock have treated Split/Second like a homage to the most exciting driving sequences from the greatest action blockbusters, with every set piece giving a little nod to all the Hollywood greats. More than that, they’ve taken these influences and they’ve pushed them to an entirely new level. From sliding beneath a collapsing extension bridge, to leaping from a destroyed ferry to the deck of an aircraft carrier, each new race-changing power-play seems to top the last, eventually building in an awesome crescendo of mayhem and destruction. But as thrilling as each of the power-plays are, it’s the way in which they’re used that make Split/Second brilliant. Power-plays both large and small can only be triggered for opponents in front of you, so holding back and timing each one (which are in set positions throughout the track) will mean the difference between taking out a single rival, and obliterating the lot of them. It also throws up the dilemma of whether you should keep building the power-play gauge for a bigger impact, or simply spaff all your level 1 attacks as quickly as possible. The mechanic changes further as you pull into first place, becoming a frantic game of ‘dodge everything’ as your pursuers attempt to make your life a living hell. Despite the initial impression that Split/Second would be all style and no substance, there’s a great deal of depth beneath its highly-polished surface. The thirty or so cars that are unlocked through the season each have varying stats which completely change the way you race. Trucks are slow but rarely get thrown out by explosions or the aftershock of certain power-plays. Tuners go super-fast but are prone to crashing, and muscle cars drift like crazy, but lack acceleration. The key to winning each event in Split/Second is identifying which type of car is built for the cause, as choosing wrongly will often lead to failure. I say ‘each event’ because alongside the standard race and elimination challenges that you’ll find in most racers, Split/Second features a handful of other race modes that just wouldn’t work elsewhere. ‘Detonator’ is a solo one-lap run against the clock with the entirety of the course’s power-plays all detonating on your approach. The result is an absolute spectacle of chaos, as you speed through an onslaught of fire and debris. ‘Survival’ is a continuous loop in which you overtake articulated lorries that dump explosive barrels to slow you down, requiring speed and agility to smoothly weave between the rapidly spawning obstacles. The most interesting are Air Strike and Air Revenge, solo challenges in which you race around the rack avoiding missiles from an attack helicopter, and build up power-plays in the latter to get your… well, revenge. Each one provides just enough change to the general concept to keep the game feeling fresh, requiring a shift in strategy and technique depending on the mode. They also highlight the importance of each vehicle type, as often the cars used for race and elimination will be prove to be pretty useless at sharply dodging missiles and barrels. They also focus even more on the arcade aspect, introducing multiplier combos for flawless driving, which can be bettered over and over again in quick-play. It would be unfair to demand a decent online multiplayer mode from a game that already offers so much in terms of a single player experience, but Split/Second does it regardless. Up to eight players can compete in either race, elimination or survival matches earning credits to unlock new cars as they win more races. The one downfall is that the online car selection is limited to vehicles unlocked in the single player season (meaning idiots who purchase the ‘unlock all’ DLC will have the advantage) but providing you go online post-completion, the multiplayer boasts some of the most exhilarating races the game has to offer. It’s very difficult to find fault with Split/Second. Though initially it tends to be a bit on the easy side and learning when and where to use which power-plays is a case of trial and error, it’s not long before the game escalates into a nail-bitingly intense experience. Its presentation as a high-octane American TV show adds a great deal of charm to the formula, with special mention for the announcer who appears to be channelling a cross between Duff Man and Sheriff John Bunnell. Amongst an industry hell-bent on providing ‘gritty realism’, Split/Second is a welcome break from reality. Finally, the racing game is fun again. source : darkzero.co.uk
