Week 04 of 2009 Erotica Releases

This week in (January 19 - 25, 2009) brings us nine erotica titles - six candy colored anthologies from Xcite and some darker, more subtle covers of “Harper Perennial Forbidden Classics” reprints of classic erotica titles like “The Way of a Man with a Maid”. The Week in Reviews - Week 2 of 2009

Once again, we here at Shameless Reading have been tagging the reviews of romance and more at some of the more popular romance blogs out there, including Dear Author, The Good, The Bad and the Unread, and others. If you’ve got a review blog (or site) that:

puts out an average of 3 or more reviews a week

focuses primarily on romance or erotica (mixed blogs with some genre romance reviews are also welcome.)

contains some print book reviews (blogs that exclusively review ebooks will possibly be welcomed at later dates, but we’re focusing on print books at this time)

and your reviews have some sort of critical component. For this purpose, we prefer blogs that give ratings or grades, and that at least occasionally offer ratings of less than B or 4 stars.

If your blog meets these qualifications, please let us know in the comments, and we’d love to add you to our tagging activities. We haven’t fully tagged all of the reviews with genre and rating yet, but that’s in the works.

The Week in Releases - Week 2 of 2009

The second week of January 2009 (the fifth through the eleventh) brought us plenty of romance, romance-related and erotic releases from familiar authors. Anya Bast and Joey W. Hill bring us two witch related books with A Witch’s Beauty and Witch Heart, respectively. Lynn Viehl’s Darkyn series wraps up with the delightfully (or not, depending on your point of view) pink covered Stay the Night. Black Lace brings us The New Rakes, featuring the lead singer of a “hot, dirty, electro music” band as well as a sexy vampire erotica anthology, Lust at First Bite. Also in the world of anthologies, Zane brings us a second lesbian erotica themed Purple Panties anthology, Missionary No More, and those in search of Gay or Lesbian romance get two short erotic story anthologies from Cleis Press, featuring the best of 2009 in each of those categories.
