Why Ya'll Killing Nigga's?

2014-10-18T19:23:00.000-07:00

Abstract

There have been several shootings and killings of unarmed black men and women in America today by police and private citizens who all for the most part say their actions were justified under the law. From state to state, there appears to be loopholes in these justifiable homicide laws that allow people to get away with murder, or misconduct under “stand your ground laws.” This matter needs immediate attention and action to change the verbiage, providing a clearer meaning of the law(s). Today in black communities, across the nation frustration levels and tensions are increasingly on the up rise. These communities and their leaders are angry and fed up with government officials and law enforcement agencies, because the number of young black men being killed by police officers and ordinary citizens are increasing from state to state. City leaders and top police administrators have failed to mend broken relationships and the trust of their communities. Are legislators who write “stand your ground laws” making a statement to say it’s alright to shoot and kill black people? These types of open ended loopholes in the law(s) that inadvertently say it’s ok to shoot and kill black people under the disguise of “imminent danger” must be corrected. The purpose of this research paper is to bring to light that better and clearer verbiage is needed to define the terms “stand your ground” and” imminent danger” or eliminate these types of laws altogether. We must put an end to Americans killing Americans.

Keywords: loopholes, stand your ground, imminent danger, fear, legally occupied, retreating.

Not Just an Ordinary Day

2013-03-11T01:45:00.002-07:00

Today was an ordinary day just like all the rest of my days except I found myself cleaning my home ever more so than before and the funny thing about it is that I didn't know why! I guess I was in that kind of mood and by it being Sunday, I had been playing gospel music all day long and then... read more

Who Is It

2013-02-20T07:58:00.002-08:00

Well people keep asking me where did my inspiration come from to write the song Who Is It. I continue to asnwer them by saying God and only God! Who else would take a man who has had many up and downs, pick him up, dust him off and set his feet on a path to righteousness? If you are a radio station and love good music, the check out Shameland his latest release.

The Release of" Who Is It"

2013-01-04T22:01:00.000-08:00

It's been a long time coming but it was well worth the wait! To be able to announce the release of my first single "Who Is It" had me so excited I just want to jump and shout and that's exactly what I did! Who would have thought a small town boy like me could pull it off! We surveyed over 2,000, people and asked them to listen to the track and believe it or not, 98% of those folks sent us back a resounding YES, YES, YES, send it to the people!

I said yes, and reported back to the SHAMEL RECORDS..., LLC team and told them " I think we may have something here." The team began to put together marketing schemes and stopped the presses on other projects to spend time on promoting the single. This is a very good song my friends and we are trusting in God that the words in the song may turn a sinner away from the error of his/her way and save a soul from death and cover the multitude of sins (Nelson, 1985, The Open Bible, James, Ch.4: 20).

I just wanted to give a big shout out to God and my lord and savior Jesus for seeing me through the rough times and making them smooth and to all of my friends and family, thanks for the support.

You can purchase the song by just clicking on the hyperlink, http://www.shamelrecords.com So in the meantime and between time, I'll holla!

Black Bald Man

2012-02-05T22:59:00.000-08:00

Every time you look around, there goes another black man with his hair shaved down to his skull. I don't know why so many of us are shaving off our hair! Are we ashamed of the texture of our hair? Is it to nappy or hard to comb? Have we become so conditioned to the worlds perspective (militant) about long haired black men, (that weve forgot about the kid in us and (the Afro) that we crumble under pressure and shave it off instead of dealing with the stereotypes? Well, I have something to say to black men.

What's Hot

2011-10-18T05:41:00.000-07:00

Linda D thats who! Linda D was in Studio October 7 through the 16th. She is the first signed Artist at SHAMEL RECORDS... She blew us away with her powerful vocals and soulful sound, said Top Record Executives. The project entitled, "God Will" is underway and great emphasis have been placed on moving ahead to market the project.

She is truly a great talent and we plan to take the industry by storm with Miss D. Bar none, she is simply the best!! We rank her at the top with all other well known female artist and I am willing to go out on a limb and state that "Linda D she is far better than most of the top female artist who are selling units and have made it on BB Top Ten, today.

The Plan is to build up her fan base and to this we will use innovative marketing schemes and simply put, get her heard to allow her powerful voice and soulful overtones to do the rest, the people will fan up after this, I am sure of it. We all love to hear good music and singing and she has the complete package. You don't want to miss hearing Linda D. Hear her at http://www.reverbnation.com/label/shamelrecords

Kill them ALL- RIP Troy A. Davis

2011-09-21T22:13:00.000-07:00

Kill them ALL, that seems to be the way we operate in this mean world today. Who has the right to take another man's life. Remember, Jesus was put to death by the government. Judas lied on him for 30 pieces of silver. Government was wrong about Him but the people wanted blood but little did they know death could not hold his spirit, for in 3 days He arose from the dead.

We are suppose to be a Christian Nation and living under Grace not the law of Moses (an eye for an eye). Why do we, "men" always try to live this thing, called life, without God? Why do our justice system continue to make decisions without the principles of God's word?

May God for give us all for being silent Troy A. Davis http://www.cbsnews.com/i/tim/2011/09/19/troy_davis_AP090624048956_fullwidth_620x350.jpg for not speaking up for you and those who are helpless and not able to speak up for themselves. Isn't this the Christian thing to do? God teaches us through his word that we should be speaking us loud and clear.

Kill them ALL, I say no, No, NO! Vengeance is mine thus say the Lord.

My prayer: Forgive me oh Lord for my weak since of faith and love for mankind, my neighbor and awaken my spirit so that I may become more obedient to your word, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Random Thoughts

2011-08-14T02:13:00.000-07:00

This is just a simple song, so I 'm not going to keep you long, hoping we may find out now if our faith is strong in Christ Jesus, yes, the Living Water is He. I am living in God's favor for this is true and as far as His blessings, yes, count them in too. Do you slip and fall like I do? Well getting back up is the thing to do for there is only one who is righteous and He is not of this world but He created the Heavens and the Earth.

My Father's sprit is so HOLY the flesh cannot bare His presence, the eyes cannot look upon Him, the ears that hear causes men to tremble and stand as dead men. He sent his Son Jesus, some call the Son of Man, I love to call Him Savior because He died for you and me, a living sacrifice that is why He came so the world through Him may be saved.

His life was a ransom paid for our sins and at the end of the age He will return again. If you haven't you heard then let it be known that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and coming again, coming again, coming again, do you believe, is your faith strong?

MLP aka Shamel

Dear Momma,

If you don't sit down!

I trust that this letter finds you and finds you well? I just thought I'd drop you a few lines to tell you thank you for never leaving us and to let you know that I Love you and miss you so very much. The relentless sacrifices you made while raising us and keeping our family (8 kids) together was absolutely nothing short of a miracle. Most of your life was spent seeing to it that we had a roof over our heads, food to eat, clothes on our backs and keeping us all clean.

The quality of your idea Makes A Difference

2011-07-17T23:48:00.000-07:00

One thing that I always remembered from my days as an Arizona State Government Official, was to let ideas compete not people. This way you will by no means take things personally and it will allow you to remain professional. Instead of wasting time competing with one another, more time will be spent on being creative and innovative, allowing best ideas to prevail.
