Sloggi Girls Night with Chessie

Chessie is the best host, we had a great time in her slumber party, though this is my first slumber party but it's the best one ever!

Imagine, whenever there's a girls night it's the usual boring stuff like painting your nails, paints one another nails, watch chick flicks etc but Chessie Playful Peepy Sloggi Girls Night is so superb AWESOME!!!

We've got lots of candies and fluffy soft toys and fun stuff to do...read on to see what we actually did!

Half way through our Girls Night, we were told that we have a challenge to complete which was "Music Video" and Henry Golding will be our judge, it was super exciting!

Henry was running late and we gave him a surprise, we pretended that no one was at home, after a few bell rang and knocks on Cheesie door, Henry opens the door and realized it wasn't locked and we jump out all of a sudden and gave him a big surprise and he was shocked! :D

warmly welcoming him to take a seat with us and Cheesie's fans voted us to do a video from Katy Perry's California Girls!

So we got dressed up in colourful dresses!

One of our scene in the music video is to jump on bed!
Literally, we could feel the bed sank while jumping (maybe we're too heavy) and using lots of muscles from our legs! Jumping on bed is certainly not an easy task!

Here's a bar of Emergency Chocolate, my boyfie got for me. I was speechless but it's super cute! How thoughtful of him, well his heading back to UK for his last semester and incase of Love Sick... this bar of emergency chocolate will "cure" me.

Even it's description amazes me!

Really cool.

New Year eve was never my thing however after last year countdown, this would be my second year heading out, putting up some form of excitement for this new year eve.

Celebrating New Year with Amelia my virgo sista and with the boys at Sunway Lagoon Countdown Concert Party ! Thanks to Magnum tickets!

BBQ and buffet in Surf Beach Sunway Lagoon before the concert.

A unique buffet concept, stalls are lined up with chef cooking different variety of food! Hence, food served are fresh and hot from the wok!

The atmosphere wasn't pack as well just nice and easy for everyone, with picnic style benches for us to enjoy our meals.

While food is the center of attention, second place goes to mobile phones, you'll never any of us had our eyes and hands off our phones during the party.

We're hanging around the area, waiting for hours to go before clock starts to tick on midnight, where the number goes from 2011 to 2012.

Jfook is stalking someone. Apparently we realized we're pretty good stalkers ourselves as we spotted someone whom has a familiar face at the concert so we looked them up on social networks and confirmed the truth.

S.H.E was my generation, its been a long while I've never hear any S.H.E songs so that night, Ella came and it was great to see here in person! Used to go all over crazy for S.H.E.

She sang some old songs and it was great!

Her skeleton leggings are really cool! Ella even ended her performance with showing skeleton of her butt and ran off to backstage before being called back to do a countdown! So cute of her!

It's significant to end the year and start a new year with someone you truly adore and care of. As from what The New Year Eve movie displayed. I never bothered about eves much as they are just eve, but after a promise from some one whom wanna start and end the year with me, I wanted to spend that split second of crossing from 2011 to 2012 with someone I love and just being with them at the moment.

How to Create Crack Nails Effects

Recently the crack nails effect has been a trend. So I decided to try it out as well. To my surprise it's rather simple to create the effect as results are proven to be fabulous too! I'm using The Face Shop black crack nail polish for RM 25.

Normally (most of the time) I do my nails at night as being a busy lady, that's the only time I can spend some time to paint my nails while surfing the net and checking mails. With crack nail polish it's pretty awesome, making my life easier.

I would say it's best suited for the lazy or busy ones! All you have to do is just paint a layer over your usual colour and admire the magic taking effect as during the process of drying the black crack nail polish effortlessly cracking leaving a nice breakage showing the colour you painted on the first layer! It's as if you've spent a good amount of time creating or drawing the patterns on your nails!

What you need is a base coat, a colour nail polish (prefeberly bright colours) and a black crack nail polish. I'm using all the products from The Face Shop here.

After trimming your nails and buffing them, push back your cuticles. Just like how any manicure begins. You may begin.

Steps to get your crack nails effect...

Apply 1 layer of Base Coat, wait for it to dry about 2 minutes.
Apply 1 layer of colour nail polish and after 5 - 10 minutes* or when it's dry, apply another layer of colour nail polish to cover any spots that you may have missed and wait for it to dry completely about 15 - 20 minutes* depending on nail polish.
Apply a layer of base coat over the color nail polish, let it dry for about 5 minutes or so.
Apply the crack nail polish 1 layer will do and let the magic happens and wait for it to dry for a few minutes.
Cover with another layer of base coat nail polish.

Really simple and you can even mix colours to have a better effect of the crack nails! Recommended colours for black crack nail polish are bright bold colours like pink, purple, yellow, orange, turquoise, ocean blue etc. Just a tip, Golden brown with black crack nails gives you the leopard prints effect, which is pretty cool! There's no right or wrong how crack nails goes as it's splits randomly so just be creative and experiment!

New Year Eve to Brand New 2012

Time flies, we're in the 2nd week of 2012! Whao! Are you sticking to your new year's resolutions? or had you forgotten where you place that piece of paper consist a full to-do list for 2012?

The movie New Year Eve was in cinemas during last December 2011,a great catch. I watched it at the dot of new year eve. As New Year eve is around the corner at the end of December, this movie made it's way to touch different lives and reminding us about our past new year celebrations with the ex-es or an incident, an unfulfilled promise, the new year's resolution we left in our drawers. The movie share it's story from different individuals, in on day - new year eve. From rushing to parties, trying to fulfill the long list of new year's resolutions, finding a soul mate, meeting someone new, keeping the promise, being there for a family member...

At the stroke of midnight, it's a new beginning, new chapters, hope of looking forward a brand new year. When the clock ticks 12, things change as if magic had filled the earth sprinkle of "magical powder", it seems what happened last year didn't matter much at that second when 2011 turns 2012.

Hennessy NyX Launch Party, Vertigo Club

The first talk-of-the-town party goes to Hennessy NyX Launch Party, with many Malaysian on social networks all hype up for the first party to kick start 2012 with a secret location.

After registration, we waited to be ushered to the secret location so we mingle around the Hennessy NyX booth area while catching up with one another.

Each of us are to wear the Hennessy glove on our left hand for the usherers to usher us to the secret location, but since I've already knew the location through a source leaked out a few hours before party, since we couldn't see any usherers, the few of us walked ourselves to the club instead.

Realized my panda eyes are huge! Been busy lately with work.

So as many had guesses the obvious "secret location" a club in The Gardens, Mid Valley; the by-invitation only launch party was held at Vertigo Club.

This is me when I was just being #foreveralone and hugging the "tiang" for no apparent reason.

The party was so pack, we couldn't even get a table or move our hands, few of us bloggers just got to stick around the corner - almost squashed by other human begins. I don't feel that the party is so "exclusive" as my invitation was on media where as the two friends on my list are normal invites, so I decided not to join the media/vip section, personally I don't see a point why organisors would give us media pass and we have to leave our friends behind. End up most of us bloggers decided to stick with one another. Hence, the place got even more pack. I believe others agree as another blogger friend of mine Serge blogged about his hands couldn't even move and stuck on his chest only. Perhaps a bigger club would make this party better or invite less people?

Say cheese to a slightly tipsy me, for those who saw me hugging the "tiang", I'm not drunk I'm just feeling the #foreveralone moment!

Well after being in the club for 1.5 hours I left the party with fluffy to settle some stuff we needed to talk about and chill outside for fresh air.

The relationship status on your profile is like a tag that people will label you. single, in a relationship, it's complicated, divorced, married ...the option you choose does impact from the first impression of a stranger who stumble upon your profile.

A Khairil m Bahar flick, proud to present a Malaysia production. Social networks had changed the landscape of lifestyle and dating scene, "Relationship Status" tells the story of a number of KL-ites from all walks of life whose relationships are created, changed, and sometimes even ruined by social networking and the way we communicate in the 21st century.

It's a good watch, thumbs up for a Malaysian movie, though some scene were shaky from the camera. I really love this movie, sometimes we may not realized the impact of relationship status we placed on our social networking sites, the things we shared, the status we post when things crossed our minds, the pictures we post, things tagged by our friends etc, all these makes a different and gives a first impression when someone views your profile, or a friend on your Facebook constantly stayed tuned to your updates.

Christmas Served Steaming Hot

Last Christmas eve we decided to do an impromptu gathering - since we found eachother alone on Christmas eve we decided to meet up at Tokyo Street, Pavilion for Japaness Steamboat Buffet. A table specially for us (L-R: Ah Keinn, Edwin and Momo) all of us Rotaractors had one another to spend the eve together.

Grumbling stomaches for a late dinner due to Bukit Bintang crazy traffic on Christmas eve, we were attracted to Suki-Ya Japanese Buffet, filled with long queu and Eat-All-You-Can label over it, got us excited and were willing to wait despite the long queue. Unlimited refill of meat from Chicken, Beef and lamb.

The guys are doing the "cooking" instead of us girls. :)
Eat like a Princess!

The great thing about buffet is when your mad hungry, you get to eat all you want without boundaries or limits. So we did exactly just that. Unlimited refill of Green Tea, Meat, vegetables and ice creams! Plus had a few sushi while waiting for our pot to cook the meat.

We had raw egg and dip our meat into it, tasted so well just like the Udon noodles with egg from Marufuku. Unique taste!

Alyson aka MoMo gets excited with ice cream, with the hungry stomach when waiting for our steamboat she had ice cream with jelly as appetizer! Eating like a lady boss!

After our 32 box of meat refills, 4 person and we had 32 boxes of meat almost there or more. We grab our own ice-cream.

And the BIG surprise happens!

My boyfie is actually coming back from UK study break right on Christmas eve around 9ish at night while I was in KL earlier in the evening for a Christmas Story presentation performances by my church earlier, hence, meeting in Pavilion with the rest instead. Boyfie aka fluffy (most of you would know I call him fluffy) got alittle pissed I wasn't spending time with him for Christmas eve and I thought I'l just drive all the way to spend time with him before midnight then anyways we didn't plan anything together but then my friend & my guardian angel Momo secretly planned with fluffy and he pops up after I got my ice cream and it just turns all the drama backstage. :)

Just glad to see him and I miss him so much! His been in UK for a few months for studies, finally his back and within a month leaving again.

Started from our late dinner around 9pm, we left when the shop is about to close. Walk around the empty Pavilion inside, while we saw crowds outside pavilion even before 11pm, waiting for Christmas countdown - crazy place outside in the streets.

Upon looking at the crowds outside and the traffic outside, we've decided to stay till the late while all the congestion subsides, we watched Mission Impossible 4. This is my first time spending an eve in the Cinemas, well nobody shouted Merry Christmas when the movie starts at 11.55pm though!

Look at how crazy and merry it is outside, while we had some coffee at Espressmente Illy, chair-less. Literally we're standing to have our coffee in a cafe! It's a full house!

This is what's left at the streets of Bukit Bintang. Amazed at the amount of rubbish humans can generate over a 2 hour period for a Christmas Eve, I presume, New Year eve would be worst - so I avoided being in KL for New Year.

I feel that it's a waste land in the heart of KL. Seriously, you guys just throw all the stuff on the floor like a boss! Some Malaysians, you just amaze me with your Tidak Apa attitude (ignorane) on the mess you caused. 4 words to say - dumping like a boss!

Watched MI4 on Christmas Eve in Pavilion after our Steamy hot Japaness Buffet Steamboat session, it's my first time on any holiday eve celebrating it in a Cinema - avoiding all the havoc outside filled with foam and sprays and smelly sweat from random strangers!

Mission Impossible needs no introduction, moreover it's Tom Curise, a great movie filmed in Dubai, Prague, Moscow, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Vancouver; literally your traveling around the world while watching MI4 itself. The most amazing place would be the world tallest building - Burj Khalifa in Dubai, it's beautiful standing tall, shimmering and sleek.

IMF is shut down when it's implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear their organization's name. Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team are racing against time to track down a dangerous terrorist Hendricks, who has gained access to Russian nuclear launch codes and is planning a strike on the United States. After the Kremlin disaster - IMF was accused of bombing it and had forced the President to invoke Ghost Protocol, which IMF is disavowed, and will be offered no help or backup in any form. Ethan and his team decided to go on to stop Hendricks all the way to Dubai, and from there to Mumbai, time is ticking till the last minute.

A great movie, filled with non-stop action. Just had to post up a photo of this pretty turquoise dress (it's not green, it's turquoise! - there's a difference that guys would not have understand) worn in a house party in Mumbai.

Raspberry Urbanears from London, UK

I've had headphones, but this would be the most awesome-licious one I've own.

On being random during my exam, I was looking through some websites after looking at Beats by Dr. Dre which was what I consider as over priced, I'm not saying it's lousy, I just don't appreciate it as how some of you do and It doesn't makes sense that a headphones would cost more than 1.6K Ringgit! The sound and quality do not convenience me neither, or the design.

After looking through Apple store, I've stumble upon Urbanears. Seen them displayed in my university Mac Store in other colours but my eyes and my ears just instantly fell in love with this pair of Raspberry Plattan Urbanears.

The colour of a mixture between pink and purple just strikes and melts me. It matches my iPad cover and blackberry bunny cover as well, simply because, I love the colour, hence the combo.

Since, Urbanears are available mostly in UK or through worldwide delivery (except Malaysia), Fluffy decided to get me this as my Christmas pressent! It wasn't easy for him to hunt down a pair of these as it was out of stock from Urbanears themselves however fluffy got it somewhere in the streets of London instead - I presume he went to do some Raspberry Urbanears hunting in the local stores. The sound coming out ain't too bad, for me it's quite good clear and sharp while noise reduction to almost zero from the environment around me once I've put on the headphone.

I love music and it keeps most of us going, no matter what mood your having, music is always there with you! True, no? Excited and loving it my Raspberry (yet to found a suitable name to call it though, besides Raspberry). Happily welcoming my new toy!

London Starbucks Tumblr

My first London Starbucks 12oz Tumblr, it's just so useful to keep the coffee warm in office!

Enjoying my coffee, hot cocoa and green tea while staring at the computer for long hours, special credits to Fluffy for getting me the lovely tumblr from UK!

I especially like the cover as it's just slip proof, when you almost pour your coffee after taking a few sips it won't spill or get stuck on the cover like other tumblr does as it's slightly narrow downwards creating a curve, pure genius Starbucks! In addition, the bottom part is rubber hence, it's sort of stick on the table! No worries on spilling over any drinks. Placing it in my handbag is convenient as it doesn't drip or leak, perhaps only because it's new. Would see how long the cover would last as it's pretty tight now.

PS: Now wondering, how would other cities design looks like... Am looking forward to get a Paris one, would it be Eiffel Tower?

Friday after Ten

After started my internship, it's been the second week now, feeling slightly lack of holiday bubbly mood, I called out a few friends to chill over on last Friday. Initially we're suppose to gather in Sky Bar but it's sort of late and after work so we headed to Royal Oak instead, just a 5 minutes drive from my office.

You'll spot me here sometimes mostly on weekdays, Royal Oak in JayaOne. Got to know this place months ago when I was in JayaOne for meeting and we had a few drinks after the meeting here. It's a small little place, located in the middle of PJ and best of all it's surrounded with all the pretty good food outlets of JayaOne.

While waiting for two more friends to arrive, we order first, Heineken of course!
The lamp effect shining onto Heineken looks nice.

There are busy talking or gossiping ... while Jayren is happily smiling.

Pints of Heineken, it's sad that they don't sell any Heineken towers or bottles. But it's not gonna ruin our mood to come out and chill as this has been the second location we changed to.

Benjamine is here as well! The entire night we just chill with our Heineken and lots of chitchats, though we both work in the same industry so during working hours his with my company's competitor. However, after office hours we're just bloggers and friends who likes to hang out over events or food hunting sessions.

It's a full house in Royal Oak, so we just tuck ourselves sitting at the bar.

Good Morning there, it's a Christmas Morning! I've always wonder when I was a kid, if Malaysia would snow... I'll jump out of bed, run downstair to the Christmas tree and open my pressent while looking out the window at snow before getting a hot cup of Chocolate top with marshmallows.... mmmhhh that would be an awesome Christmas morning! *nope, it hadn't happened, well the run down stairs for presents and hot cooca part is done, as for the snowing part - it hasn't happen* on another note, probably that's one of the reason why I finally decided to make my Blog snow this year!

It's been a wonderful Christmas eve yesterday spending quality time with a few friends and avoiding the crowds and noises from Christmas countdowns - I'll only join in the hype for New Year eve's countdown, not on Christmas.

After the first round of cocktail dress fashion walk I've laid my eyes on a few which I really like, they are Brazil, Peru, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines; including Malaysia and Panama of course.
So, who are your favorites here?

In the spirit of Christmas, Poh Kong's charity event "A Gift of Love" was incorporated during the Miss Poh Kong Glamour where 60 orphans from Desa Amal Jireh Orphanage were presented with gifts - from the Christmas wish-list written earlier by each individual orphans and were hung on a Christmas tree at the Poh Kong Roadshow in 1 Utama, where shoppers and Poh Kong customers helped fulfill the orphans dreams.

The winner, Miss Poh Kong Glamour 2011 goes to Ms. Panama, 21-years old,
Carolina Del Carmen Brid Cerrud, crown by Dato Eddie Choon, Managing Director of Poh Kong. Ms. Carolina will be taking home jewelleries worth RM10,000.

With such beauty, poise and product presentation, she stood out among 55 contestants wearing Poh Kong jewelleries. Miss Panama is a student who loves playing basketball and volleyball. She is currently a model and she aspires to host a television talk show one day.

Let It Snow

Christmas is just around the corner, in just 6 days time. I've been wanting to "make-my-blog" snow since in Malaysia my Christmas has been snow-less. This year, I've decided to do it. I hope you guys are not annoyed at the snow as I really like it.

The idea of having my blog snowing also came from my boyfie fluffy in UK now as he experienced some snow and then it stopped the next day, some parts of UK had started snowing but his place in London. The Snowing-mood has also started with Google "Let It Snow"...

Which the page with the search will snow and it gets frozen too after a few seconds.

Wait for it, after 30 seconds, you are required to Defrost your screen! This got many excited as google "Let It Snow" started spreading like wildfire over social medias as people asking friends to try out.

First Week Internship with Groupon Malaysia

It's my first week interning with Groupon Malaysia. Making myself comfy and cozy in the office and lots of random fun stuff happens during working hours :)

I'm with a team of very dynamic and passionate Grouplets for Groupon and the experience for just one week feels like I've been there for a month. Everything is very fast pace and I don't mind even working after working hours at times as many others does that to as emails were even sent out by groups of people at late night, you won't get the lonely feeling as we're working as a team.

It's Christmas Time and Christmas decos are up in the office plus, I've got my Christmas present from Groupon! It's an Intern Mug very thoughtful :)

In the office, You will have a Secret Santa for everyone and they will drop you notes and sweet stuff secretly so you've gotta guess who's your secret santa or wait till it's reveal during the Christmas Party on last friday! So my Sexy Secret Santa gave me Starbucks goodies , knowing I love coffee and Starbucks, to keep me warm and fuzzy in the office! She's very sweet :)

Cafe Barbera is currently my addiction of quality brew coffee with a selection of coffee offered at a nice chilling environment in their latest outlet in Sunway Pyramid. It's name is no stranger to some of you, when Cafe Barbera first open I've tried their opening promotion coffee (link) where I discover a new place to get great coffee besides the handful few I'm frequent at.

Brief history of the Barbera Coffee
