10 Levels of Chilli Rush Challenge, JayaOne

Just before JayaOne #250ftLOUSANG a couple of us bloggers were invited to The Chilli Rush Chillout where we chill with chilli.

Some statements and stories on the wall.

They made some interesting short reads while your at the restaurant.

The hotness of chili.

As we were told, the Chili Rush Challenge, participants are to survive 10 levels of Spicy Chili Chicken, so here's Level 7 served on our table. About how's the spiciness level? I'll reckon you watch the video at the end of this post. As words just couldn't describe this plate of chicken. ;)

For some of us, who are chili noob, we're starting off with entry level 1 instead of the intermediate chili lovers or spicy eaters who kick start with a glass of ice lemon tea and dig in for level 5 chickens.

Great short and hot food review before 250ft Lou Sang event at JayaOne.

Planning a trip up to Cameron Highlands may take ages due to hectic schedules and heavy workloads to carry up the hill. Tea lovers may find this little intermediate shop lot located in Bangsar a great place to chill out and enjoy. The word tea attracted me so I decided to give this new place a try.

Has an unique refreshing taste, great for a sunny day.

Grilled herb chicken strips, tomatos, sautéed mushrooms, caramelised onions, mozzarella cheese and mayonnaise with salad or potatoes of the day. I had cold potatoes here, portion of the sandwich was just nice so I could try their homemade scones.

Comes with homemade strawberry jam with cream and butter. Hot from oven and tender filled with the freshly baked aroma and brillant homemade strawberry jam and cream. I loved it so much! The serving was cute as it was served in a shot glass.

They offer weekday daily set lunch menu for RM 15 per person.

I'm did not regret purchasing this wonderful deal from Groupon as I can enjoy a 3-course meal for a very reasonable price while trying out this new place, plus I received 25% off on drinks for my next visit!

Cage dogs of Hong Kong

The city life, sounds and seems glamours to many, especially as shown in movies like Sex & The City, Gossip Girls... etc. But after reading the article below as shared via an email I received, a moment ago. I couldn't imagine how they could live in such an environment in a City known as one of the Four Asian Tigers. It deeply disturb me to glance through the images, where many uses credit cards and borrow huge amount of loans just to purchase and spend on branded goods when others save and starve in hope they would survive another month, seeking shelter. Do share it around and make known to ignorant youths to be grateful for life, living under their parents roof with their own room yet complain life isn't enough of the latest gagets, as I believe this should be a wake up call to most of us and raise the awareness on how serious these cage housing/rooms are!

Hong Kong, one of the world's richest cities, is abuzz with a luxury property boom that has seen homes exchanged for record sums. But the wealth of the city has a darker side, with tens of thousands priced out of housing altogether and forced to live in the most degrading conditions. Unscrupulous landlords are charging around US$200 a month for each cage, which are packed 20 to a room, and up to three levels high.

The lower cages are more expensive because you can almost stand inside them, but the conditions are no less squalid. All this in a city with more Louis Vuitton shops than Paris.

The alternative is life on the streets.

Valentine's To Me

Some of us spend Valentines with our love ones, over fancy dinner, huge bouquet of flowers. Whereas others, spend their Valentine holding tissue box sobbing over #foreveralone on a normal Tuesday but because it's February 14.

I on the other hand, spend my Valentine's Day on Skype.

A "Royal Mail" package was delivered to my doorstep 4 days before Valentine's day. A valentine's card that complimented my taste of having fell for such an Awesome guy (Fluffy) and the other card was filled with Valentine's Voucher where I can redeem love coupons of hugs or kisses, cuddles and surprises.

Fluffy never fails to surprise me, even-though when we're miles apart. To be honest, I've never believe in this Long Distance Relationship thingy, many said it's hard to maintain a relationship over miles apart with different time zone, but if two are in love and are willing to spare a few hours a day just to stay connected, it's not as bad as how some described LDR.

The next day, I've received a package delivered to my office, this angel heart necklace is my 2nd Valentine's gift as before Fluffy leaves for UK he got me a Personalized necklace for an early V-day present. It's a big surprise to receive this necklace as it does means a lot to me, I love doodling heart with angel wings.

Surprise on the big day, Valentine's Day 33 Red Heart shaped balloons delivered to my office, brightening up my day with showers of hearts. Super shocked when I was called to the door by a colleague.

It's just so awesome to end work at 5pm receiving Love.

Being very realistic and girls please don't hate me for receiving hearts and distributing hearts to others as from my point of view, I rather everyone feeling happy and loved instead of the entire office staring at my huge red heart balloons. So almost every girl in the entire office, I gave them a red heart to keep on spreading the love of Valentine's day throughout the office. The place instantly brightens up with love as red hearts floated in the space.

One thing I'm not sharing with others, would be Fluffy's heart. ;) And I'm really glad his so understand and wouldn't get mad I distributed the hearts out to others.

These are chocolates, which was tagged along with the red hearts balloons, ladybug and bee, they are just so adorable.

PS: All my Valentine's gifts are from Groupon.my which is so AWESOME! I feel the Fluffy boyfriend is so supportive of my work and it's a huge saving on all these gifts! I dislike guys that buys me expensive gifts as I believe "True love can never be bought", so I'm really happy! He truly understands me. :)

1. Is it cute when guys kiss you on your forehead?
It's cute in a way, I rather feel warm & pampered like a little kid when a guy kisses my forehead.

2. A big poofy dress or a short party dress?
Short party dress.

3. Are diamonds a girl's best friend?
Depends how you put it. But my best friend is my macbook and Blackberry or iphone.

4. Is your hair up or down today?
It's in a pigtails now. ;)

Nope never. My hair is super straight and I wish I had a tad bit of sexy wavy hair instead.

Dior.

Yes, most of the time. I do it myself and this week it's sapphire blue.

Flats but at times I'll prefer Heels over flats.

Do you consider eyeshadow as make up? I don't use foundation but only eyeshadow and sometimes blusher.

Tesco, as my country does not have the two.

Certainly! All the time!

Yes I have two of them.

Silver over Gold but some days I'll prefer Gold over Silver.

There are cute and sometimes comfy. So yeah, I love to wear them.

Totally, my office had a pajamas party and I wore a cute short and top to work, while the entire office looks like we had just woke up and walk to office.

Yeah, during high school a guy is really into hiphop stuff so I dressed in hiphop and I do love it but later on I just got lazy and continued on with my own style of lossing the belts and chains hanging from trousers.

30. What makeup could you not live without? Dark brown eyeshadow.

31. Do you fall in love easily?
Nope.

32. Do you have cramps?
Occasionally...well most of the time.

JayaOne recently organized a 250feet long LouSang event in the heart of Petaling Jaya! We Malaysian's are excited for LouSang every Chinese New Year, but have you participated in a LouSang that's as long as 250 feet? Proudly admits, I have!

with Chris Tock again, for another round of LouSang since #LouSangtwtup 2012.

A vibrant place JayaOne is, they hit it off not just uniting Malaysians from all walks of life together for LouSang, the 250ftLouSang ceremony includes traditional chinese performances of the 24-Season Drums and Chinese Traditional Instruments.

Indeed a great way to remind all of us about Chinese Traditional performance of drums, I hadn't seen such amazing performance of 24-season drums for quite some time since my primary years.

After the speculator Traditional Chinese performance, I couldn't resist not to take video of the lion dance and share it with you guys who wasn't at the 250ftLouSang to enjoy, turns out it's a really amazing performance especially on their footworks and they are very skilled with a touch of humor entertaining the crowds.

Catch the mandarin oranges from the Lions means you'll receive "gold" as the Lions tosses mandarin oranges to the vips.

During the 3rd day of Chinese New Year it was my dad's birthday so after work we met at The Gardens Mid Valley over a simple dinner to celebrate with him. Surprisingly The Han Room located just behind LV in The Gardens is quite a popular place as it was a full house!

We ordered a set for each person which comes in a few courses. It was pretty good!

Journey 2 The Mysterious Island

It's a journey where only some believed there's a path ahead, whereas many did not and say it's insane.

Just like the movie, I feel under the category of making-it-on-time just for the movie in Pavilion GSC and making my way to #lousangtwtup in Ritz Carlton afterwards - with only 2 hours before the event, I watched Journey 2.

The story is about Sean Anderson who received a radio frequency message from his grandpa from a mysterious island and partners with his mom's boyfriend on a mission to find his grandfather, who is thought to be missing on a mythical island. Upon discovering the mysterious island, they soon find themselves trap as the island is about to sink deep into the waters, they race towards time to exit the island.

When lost city, Alantis, Gulliver Travels and some classic stories told became real. It's a great watch with a plus point that The Rock Dwayne Johnson and Vanessa Hudgens in the movie - sit back and enjoy the adventure!

The 3rd annual #LouSangTwtUp event is back, connecting twitter users together over Chinese New Year in a fancy 5 star Ritz Carlton hotel and enjoy the Malaysian chinese tradition of Lou Sang.

Arriving right on the dot as just 2 hours ago I was in Pavilion GSC watching Journey 2 The Mysterious Island.

Vivis 300Mah Universal Device Charger

My blackberry will survive and will not die from now onwards due to out of battery at the end of the day with my Vivis device charger from Groupon Malaysia by Power Cellular it feeds my blackberry. Collected this from Low Yat and it's been great, 300MaH capacity and I can charge my blackberry for more than 3 times (when it reaches 50% battery) I can even not charge the device charger for 3 days If daily I only use once to charge my blackberry. Which is pretty cool and convenient.

This is my first purchase from my internship salary so it's sort of a reward for myself from my 1st month working with Groupon Malaysia. :)

It comes with 9 adapter / plugs which suits most mobile phones and a cable thats flexible in length whereby you can adjust it accordingly and hassle free with it's rolling function to avoid having it tking up all the space in my handbag. Plus it's battery indicator feature tracks battery life so I will be notify when I should charge the device charger. On button just to power up and once you remove the cable it will auto power off within 30 minutes which is great especially for lazy people like me, who just unplug the cable and it does it magic of turning off the power.

Did I mention, it has a flashlight function too! For ladies, in case of really dark places you can use it to shine and light up your way!

Shii Teck's Farewell at Reminisce 舊相好

Shii Teck will be working in Singapore and we had a simple farewell dinner together before he leaves at Reminisce, Mid Valley. It's a unique restaurant bringing back the childhood memories, a place to reminisce.

Do you still remember these?

Well I had their fried rice, to be honest their food are average. But a great place to chill in Mid Valley beside the ordinary type of english cafe.

We've watched the premier screening of Underworld Awakening. It's not bad, though I wasn't a fan of Underworld and this was only my second time watching underworld movie. Love the action and effects was certainly mind blowing.

Joshua even enjoys a bottle of beer in cinema! First time for me to see anyone enjoying a beer in a cinema while enjoying their movie.

Plus, TGV Cinemas had a fully revamp of their outlet in Sunway Pyramid. Do check it out :)

I've been looking for a personalized necklace for some time now, been looking at online shops for them but because most of their "blog layout" is sort of unprofessional, I've never purchased any.

Groupon was having this personalized necklace promotion from JoreDior, I simply hinted by sharing on Facebook and was still hesitating to get one... Fluffy bought it for me as a Valentine's gift.

We didn't get to spend Valentine's day together as Fluffy is flying back to UK for his final semester (his on a plane as we speak now), so he pre-booked this necklace for me - a very personalized necklace with my name on it.

Sloggi Girls Night with Chessie

Chessie is the best host, we had a great time in her slumber party, though this is my first slumber party but it's the best one ever!

Imagine, whenever there's a girls night it's the usual boring stuff like painting your nails, paints one another nails, watch chick flicks etc but Chessie Playful Peepy Sloggi Girls Night is so superb AWESOME!!!

We've got lots of candies and fluffy soft toys and fun stuff to do...read on to see what we actually did!

Half way through our Girls Night, we were told that we have a challenge to complete which was "Music Video" and Henry Golding will be our judge, it was super exciting!

Henry was running late and we gave him a surprise, we pretended that no one was at home, after a few bell rang and knocks on Cheesie door, Henry opens the door and realized it wasn't locked and we jump out all of a sudden and gave him a big surprise and he was shocked! :D

warmly welcoming him to take a seat with us and Cheesie's fans voted us to do a video from Katy Perry's California Girls!

So we got dressed up in colourful dresses!

One of our scene in the music video is to jump on bed!
Literally, we could feel the bed sank while jumping (maybe we're too heavy) and using lots of muscles from our legs! Jumping on bed is certainly not an easy task!

Here's a bar of Emergency Chocolate, my boyfie got for me. I was speechless but it's super cute! How thoughtful of him, well his heading back to UK for his last semester and incase of Love Sick... this bar of emergency chocolate will "cure" me.

Magnum Countdown Concert Party, Sunway Lagoon

New Year eve was never my thing however after last year countdown, this would be my second year heading out, putting up some form of excitement for this new year eve.

Celebrating New Year with Amelia my virgo sista and with the boys at Sunway Lagoon Countdown Concert Party ! Thanks to Magnum tickets!

BBQ and buffet in Surf Beach Sunway Lagoon before the concert.

A unique buffet concept, stalls are lined up with chef cooking different variety of food! Hence, food served are fresh and hot from the wok!

The atmosphere wasn't pack as well just nice and easy for everyone, with picnic style benches for us to enjoy our meals.

While food is the center of attention, second place goes to mobile phones, you'll never any of us had our eyes and hands off our phones during the party.

We're hanging around the area, waiting for hours to go before clock starts to tick on midnight, where the number goes from 2011 to 2012.

S.H.E was my generation, its been a long while I've never hear any S.H.E songs so that night, Ella came and it was great to see here in person! Used to go all over crazy for S.H.E.

She sang some old songs and it was great!

Her skeleton leggings are really cool! Ella even ended her performance with showing skeleton of her butt and ran off to backstage before being called back to do a countdown! So cute of her!

It's significant to end the year and start a new year with someone you truly adore and care of. As from what The New Year Eve movie displayed. I never bothered about eves much as they are just eve, but after a promise from some one whom wanna start and end the year with me, I wanted to spend that split second of crossing from 2011 to 2012 with someone I love and just being with them at the moment.

How to Create Crack Nails Effects

Recently the crack nails effect has been a trend. So I decided to try it out as well. To my surprise it's rather simple to create the effect as results are proven to be fabulous too! I'm using The Face Shop black crack nail polish for RM 25.

Normally (most of the time) I do my nails at night as being a busy lady, that's the only time I can spend some time to paint my nails while surfing the net and checking mails. With crack nail polish it's pretty awesome, making my life easier.

I would say it's best suited for the lazy or busy ones! All you have to do is just paint a layer over your usual colour and admire the magic taking effect as during the process of drying the black crack nail polish effortlessly cracking leaving a nice breakage showing the colour you painted on the first layer! It's as if you've spent a good amount of time creating or drawing the patterns on your nails!

What you need is a base coat, a colour nail polish (prefeberly bright colours) and a black crack nail polish. I'm using all the products from The Face Shop here.

After trimming your nails and buffing them, push back your cuticles. Just like how any manicure begins. You may begin.

Steps to get your crack nails effect...

Apply 1 layer of Base Coat, wait for it to dry about 2 minutes.
Apply 1 layer of colour nail polish and after 5 - 10 minutes* or when it's dry, apply another layer of colour nail polish to cover any spots that you may have missed and wait for it to dry completely about 15 - 20 minutes* depending on nail polish.
Apply a layer of base coat over the color nail polish, let it dry for about 5 minutes or so.
Apply the crack nail polish 1 layer will do and let the magic happens and wait for it to dry for a few minutes.
Cover with another layer of base coat nail polish.

Really simple and you can even mix colours to have a better effect of the crack nails! Recommended colours for black crack nail polish are bright bold colours like pink, purple, yellow, orange, turquoise, ocean blue etc. Just a tip, Golden brown with black crack nails gives you the leopard prints effect, which is pretty cool! There's no right or wrong how crack nails goes as it's splits randomly so just be creative and experiment!

New Year Eve to Brand New 2012

Time flies, we're in the 2nd week of 2012! Whao! Are you sticking to your new year's resolutions? or had you forgotten where you place that piece of paper consist a full to-do list for 2012?

The movie New Year Eve was in cinemas during last December 2011,a great catch. I watched it at the dot of new year eve. As New Year eve is around the corner at the end of December, this movie made it's way to touch different lives and reminding us about our past new year celebrations with the ex-es or an incident, an unfulfilled promise, the new year's resolution we left in our drawers. The movie share it's story from different individuals, in on day - new year eve. From rushing to parties, trying to fulfill the long list of new year's resolutions, finding a soul mate, meeting someone new, keeping the promise, being there for a family member...

At the stroke of midnight, it's a new beginning, new chapters, hope of looking forward a brand new year. When the clock ticks 12, things change as if magic had filled the earth sprinkle of "magical powder", it seems what happened last year didn't matter much at that second when 2011 turns 2012.

Hennessy NyX Launch Party, Vertigo Club

The first talk-of-the-town party goes to Hennessy NyX Launch Party, with many Malaysian on social networks all hype up for the first party to kick start 2012 with a secret location.

After registration, we waited to be ushered to the secret location so we mingle around the Hennessy NyX booth area while catching up with one another.

Each of us are to wear the Hennessy glove on our left hand for the usherers to usher us to the secret location, but since I've already knew the location through a source leaked out a few hours before party, since we couldn't see any usherers, the few of us walked ourselves to the club instead.

Realized my panda eyes are huge! Been busy lately with work.

So as many had guesses the obvious "secret location" a club in The Gardens, Mid Valley; the by-invitation only launch party was held at Vertigo Club.

This is me when I was just being #foreveralone and hugging the "tiang" for no apparent reason.

The party was so pack, we couldn't even get a table or move our hands, few of us bloggers just got to stick around the corner - almost squashed by other human begins. I don't feel that the party is so "exclusive" as my invitation was on media where as the two friends on my list are normal invites, so I decided not to join the media/vip section, personally I don't see a point why organisors would give us media pass and we have to leave our friends behind. End up most of us bloggers decided to stick with one another. Hence, the place got even more pack. I believe others agree as another blogger friend of mine Serge blogged about his hands couldn't even move and stuck on his chest only. Perhaps a bigger club would make this party better or invite less people?

Say cheese to a slightly tipsy me, for those who saw me hugging the "tiang", I'm not drunk I'm just feeling the #foreveralone moment!

Well after being in the club for 1.5 hours I left the party with fluffy to settle some stuff we needed to talk about and chill outside for fresh air.
