Hi Shannon,
just returned after 2 months touring and had assumed that Pursuit had been ignored by new music reviewers as is a common experience. Then I came across what you wrote. Thanks and appreciated that you took the trouble.

What you wrote about the acoustics is interesting. I actually cut the PA out completely on at least 10 occasions. And from where we were, the difference was quite dramatic, but then I imagine in other spots the result was other.

As you point out, riding a bike around the track would also have been a great way to hear the event.

I'm going to blog the Australian Music Centre site about the socio-political aspects of the piece.

all best things,
Jon

Tis the season for closing and renewal. Sevcom, aus_emusic etc...

Actually the only bummer about closing aus_emusic is that the messages are gone. There were some interesting discussion threads on the list which pop up in the googleverse. Would be good if Yahoo et you shut the list without deleting the messages.

Agreed that email is a massive chore these days... I reckon my life would actually be better off without it. That said, I remember when i used to start the day with 1.5 hours of reading and responding to my email lists. Those were the days!! I remember i had a lot less other email to deal with tho'!

Tis the season for closing and renewal. Sevcom, aus_emusic etc…

Actually the only bummer about closing aus_emusic is that the messages are gone. There were some interesting discussion threads on the list which pop up in the googleverse. Would be good if Yahoo et you shut the list without deleting the messages.

Agreed that email is a massive chore these days… I reckon my life would actually be better off without it. That said, I remember when i used to start the day with 1.5 hours of reading and responding to my email lists. Those were the days!! I remember i had a lot less other email to deal with tho’!

Thanks Pz, I hope you like some of them. I'd have liked to add descriptions to each of them, but that'd take even more time which I don't have. Maybe I'll update it later, as I'm continually adding & removing feeds.

Have you tried Pernicious Anemia which is a B12 Deficiency which I was found to have after having two very sore and painful hands. I now have regular B12 injections and that cleared up the problem straight away thank goodness

Yeah I know that's why spammers do it, just that this example is so sublimely surreal, like Lautréamont or something.

What I don't understand, and maybe you can explain, is why so much spam these days doesn't seem to be selling anything (or phishing) and doesn't include any links. It's just a one-way transmission of nonsense. A dadaist internet intervention?

I also want to know why, given that everyone hates spam, it impairs productivity, profits, etc. don't the governments of the world use their resources (such as echelon?) to do more to eliminate it?

Oh god ... not the south american cheese wheel that flies into a rage!!!

Actually these things are designed to defeat bayesian spam filters by overwhelming them with cut and pasted content (sometimes you'll find slabs of famous literature and stuff like that).
