This Christmas day I attended mass here at my very own parish here in Dulag Binmaley, Pangasinan. During and after the mass the priest presider mentioned that the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan under Archbishop Socrates Villegas is asking the help of the Catholic Laity in Pangasinan in the construction of its very own Theology seminary.

As per the Archbishop's words it would be great if the people of Pangasinan will be able to build this Theology seminary from their own funds so that Pangasinenses can call it their own thus the theme "It is a legacy that will transcend our lifetime."

I would like to ask the help of all Pangasinenses all over the world to help in building this institution that will form young men with priestly vocation.

ALD launches Fund Drive for the Theology Seminary

9 December 2011 – Dagupan City. “We need priests because we need Christ.” Hundreds of parishioners from the different parishes of the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan listened to the homily ofArchbishop Socrates B. Villegas in a holy mass to launch the fund raising project for the construction of the theology seminary of the Archdiocese. The launching of the fund raising project was one of the three events celebrated by the whole archdiocese.

Libro na Panangaro para Seminario

The Fund Raising drive will provide for the initial fund for the construction of the Theology seminary. It will focus on the“Libro na Panangaro para Seminario”. The initial drive is also an awareness drive regarding the construction of the new Theologate. It will tap the majority of the faithful of ALL the parishes, chaplaincies, pastoral stations and schools of the Archdiocese.

Each parish/chaplaincy/pastoral station/school shall be given a common “book”, “Libro na Panangaro para Seminario”. The book will contain the names, address, amount given and signature of the donor. The book after the campaign will be placed in the cornerstone of the new building. There is no fixed amount to be donated. The book will be offered during the 16 February 2012 Eucharistic Celebration opening the Golden Jubilee celebration of ALD. The archdiocese will celebrate its golden jubilee on 16 February 2013.

It is an appeal to history and posterity: that each one with their donation shall become part of the history of the seminary. The donors will be enshrined in the cornerstone.

“It is not the amount that matters. It is the love we have for God, for the church that matters the most”, Archbishop Soc further said in his homily.

A further more widespread fund drive will follow after the initial drive, “Libro na Panangaro para Seminario”.

Why Theology Seminary?

Archbishop Soc said we need priests because we need Christ. We need the seminary to form priests who will give us Christ!

The Archbishop mentioned that 400 years after the first Augustinian friars came to Pangasinan, the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan will build the first theology seminary in Pangasinan. “We need to form priests from Pangasinan, for Pangasinan, in the culture of Pangasinan. We need to form priest with the clergy of Pangasinan, among the people of Pangasinan”.

A Legacy that will transcend our lifetime.

The Archbishop encouraged the people to share and to help build the theology seminary. “It is an opportunity given to you today to become part of the construction of the seminary. It is not always that we are given this opportunity. It is a legacy that will transcend our lifetime. We will all pass away, but the seminary will remain beyond our lifetime, forming priests of Pangasinan who will be ever ready to give Christ to you!”

Palapad, San Fabian, Pangasinan

The Archdiocese of Lingayen Dagupan has assigned a lot in Barangay Palapad, San Fabian, Pangasinan measuring twenty seven thousand square meters as the future site of the theology seminary.

A pious lady architect who has been a recipient of the papal award Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice, Architect Susana Castillo, has made the design for the future seminary. Once completed, it will be able to accommodate eighty seminarians who can also take their classes in theology within the same compound.

The Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan has already two formation houses for future priests: the Mary Help of Christians High School Seminary in Binmaley, Pangasinan and the Mary Help of Christians College Seminary in Bonuan Gueset, Dagupan City.

The Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan comprises sixteen municipalities and two cities including the capital town of the Province of Pangasinan. It has a Catholic population of one million two hundred thousand composed of thirty three parishes. There are only fifty nine diocesan priests and twelve religious priests ministering to the huge Catholic population.

As of the year 2011, there are one hundred three high school seminarians, thirty-two seminarians in philosophy and eighteen seminarians in theology. The nearest theology seminary is three hundred kilometers away from the archdiocese in Vigan City, the Immaculate Conception School of Theology.

Blessing of patronal statues

The blessing of the statues of the patron saints of the different parishes of the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan took place before the eucharistic celebration. The slight drizzle could not hold back the enthusiasm of the parishioners from the different parishes to witness the blessing of the statues of their patron saints. The statues were put on the perimeter fence of the St John Cathedral. The Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan has 36 parishes, chaplainces and pastoral stations.

Launching of Archbishop Soc’s Book

After the mass, the book of Archbishop Soc entitled “Stewards of Jesus” was launched. The book is a collection of homilies, talks and conferences he has given since he arrived in the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan in 2009. The Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan has embarked on a Stewardship Program since then involving the different parishes, chaplainces, pastoral stations and schools of the archdiocese. Archbishop Soc has consistently been giving stewardship talks to groups of lay leaders who were formed to become the “School of Lay Leaders”. These lay leaders have been attending lectures and conferences given by Archbishop Soc himself since 2010.

Archbishop Soc personally signed the books bought after the mass. The sale of the books will go to the construction of the theology seminary.

Target Cost: PhP 50 Million

The Archdiocese is raising the seed funds necessary for the start of the seminary construction project from the Catholic lay faithful and clergy of the Archdiocese of Lingayen Dagupan. There is a remarkable enthusiasm among of the Catholic faithful with regard to the project. The fund drive hopes to raise five million pesos (PhP5M) from the Catholic faithful as the initial fund for the project. Obviously and understandably, this seed money will not be enough. The fund drive will need to raise fifty million pesos (PhP50M) for the completion of the project. Archbishop Soc said, “Every donation no matter how small is a gift for the future of the Church. “

To kick off the fund drive, the clergy of the Archdiocese led by the Archbishop were the first to sign the “Libro na Panangaro para Seminario”. TheOlupan na Laiko na Arkidiosis na Lingayen-Dagupan (ONLA) facilitated the initial signing and collection of donations after the mass.

I hope I don't disappoint you on this because this is my personal story just recently and also like any other moment that we as humans will encounter when given choices.

As everybody knows today is Black Friday in America and nearly all stores are on sale since midnight. Well yesterday while waiting for the Thanksgiving dinner at my brother-in-law's parents house one of his nephews(who is by the way the same age as I am) told us that there is a sale laptop at Kmart. With the specs we noted that its a good price deal at $47.000 and I look at Kmart's catalog for the Black Friday at another think caught my eye. Its a Nikon D3000.

So I told my beloved Krissy and she asked how much would it be in pesos and I told her it would be around 20,000.00 pesos and there was silence in the other side of line. I called out to her and she said she fainted with the price(just to exaggerate a little). Then I came back to m sense.

Yes I can buy a SLR camera even better than Nikon D3000 like the Canon Rebel t3i but if I do so what would I sacrifice? Yup I can easily have back $470.00 in a month but the thing is right now it is just a dream or to make it precise it is a want.

Friend the story above is my story of self-control and a story of sacrifice as well.

Me, my beloved Krissy, and a bunch of friends organized a one day feeding program in partnership with Tulay sa Pag-unlad Inc. (http://tspi.org/)

Tulay sa Pag-unlad Inc. is a gospel-driven, microfinance NGO, whose mission is to provide individuals and communities the opportunities to experience fullness of life through small and micro-enterprise development. They provide the poor with opportunities to lead self-sufficient, responsible and dignified lives, through a broad range of microfinance services for micro and small enterprise development.

Information of the feeding program are below:

Who will benefit: 70 kids and families

Target date: December 11,2011 Sunday

Our initial plan was to distribute some school supplies and rice in the streets of Quezon City but due to the busy schedules my beloved Krissy contacted Tulay sa Pagunlad Inc. and they have this feeding program. Also initially the plan was for a simple feeding for kids with a Jollibee meal and some school supplies but the organizer humbly ask if we can cover also the parents that will accompany their kids.

With the budget we have(we ask 70 volunteers from our friends who will shoulder 100 pesos for the kid and another 100 for themselves) the additional parent might not be covered. And so with your kind heart we would like to ask your help.

I know I might have fooled you with my story above but I hope you do understand.

That is why I am foregoing my dream of a SLR camera to serve a better cause. I know it might hurt since you are making a sacrifice and that a small and one time feeding program might not make that big impact in these children's lives but how about you would it make a difference in your life if you donated to a cause and made a small child happy even for a day?

Again we humbly ask for your help.

It is a sad truth that our beloved Philippines has so many out of school children. You can find these children in the streets of Metro Manila begging, wiping shoes in jeepneys, peddling cigarettes and candies, doing hard labor and other sorts of things instead of going to school.

Every street child wants to be out of such miserable situation and they could attain such if these youths have a chance of attaining education. Its a dream they may not be able to say out loud in our faces but you can find that desire to learn deep in their hearts. This is Their Dream.

My friend Jerry Villeta recounts how some of the street kids would go to his place to clean the creek and ask a small amount of money for them to go to school. Each of those kids needs 34 pesos each day for their transportation expense to go to school.

My beloved Krissy once had an experience about a street kid sitting in the back entrance of a jeepney. It was late already and this kid is still awake when he should be sleeping. My Krissy gave her 50 pesos hoping that this kid would get a decent dinner but didn't get any reply from the kid. When it was time for the jeepney to leave the kid step down and said "Tenk you po!!!" My beloved realized that these kid's main aim is survival.

Most of the time we brush off these kids thinking they might be a "syndikato" that is why we advice not to give them money but instead food. But again these kids as I said have dreams. What if with our small donation we can give these street children a chance at life?

This is Our Dream. A helping hand for these less fortunate to survive and be someone in the future.

One plan is a feeding program this coming December and another is "adopt a poor boy/girl program."

On our own we cannot do anything about the problem but with your help we can do something about it.

The travel time is about 6.5 hours to reach Boac. From the jump-off, volunteers will have to carry the school sets and trek through mountainous trails to reach the school. The trek will depend on the individual pace of each volunteer. This will require some level of fitness on the volunteer. Each volunteer is expected to carry at least two school sets, more if they can.

During the distribution, volunteers will be given assignments to facilitate the distribution to the kids. Volunteers have the option of sleeping inside classrooms or to bring their own tents. They will be expected to cook their dinner and breakfast with their assigned groups. It's on a first-come first-serve basis, when the slots are full, succeeding volunteers will still be accepted but on wait-list.

HANDBAGS OF HOPE

Handbags for Hope is the brainchild of TV newscaster Connie Sison. While doing a segment on Gawad Kalinga, she interviewed GK champion Dylan Wilk, a British guy who left his rich lifestyle in England to come to the Philippines and help the poor. It was Dylan's life changing testimonial that planted the idea in Connie's head.

Dylan was in the top 10 richest men list (under 30) in England when he met a Filipina who said that she could have built two homes back in the Philippines with the cost of her airline ticket. He was intrigued. "What houses are these that cost the price of a handbag? Who are these people living in handbags?" Dylan said amazed. This statement lingered on Connie’s mind.

Connie was a fan of designer handbags and she knew other women who were fond of it too. She knew how it felt to give in and purchase a finely crafted, functional leather piece. And sometimes these purses just sit inside the closet temporarily forgotten until the next spring cleaning. These ladies find it difficult to part with their prized possession.

She was always reminded of it on her way to work. Connie saw many families living as squatters on the road. Upon reflection, she thought she would give up one of her handbags to help build a home for a family. Until she decided to do something about it and Handbags for Hope was born.

She started to reach out to Anna Meloto-Wilk (wife of Dylan), Eena Meloto who worked for Gawad Kalinga and Oman Tanchingco who heads an advertising and events agency.

The team squeezed in time to meet amidst their busy schedules. People who heard about it willingly offered their services for free to help the cause. It was Connie's goal to give 100 percent of the profit to the poor. This opened many hearts. All of them became partners of Handbags for Hope.

Connie rallied women to join the cause and take part in bringing hope to many poor families in Metro Manila. What started as a humble project made waves in Twitter, Facebook and in the news. And from an initial collection of 20 bags, she now has over 80 bags. All are in good condition and the worth of each purse has increased because they are given by their owners because of their love for their fellowmen.

On November 27, at 6:00 pm, the doors of The Grove by Rockwell in Pasig will be open to women who want to help build hope for the poor families. Handbag prices range from P1500 to P80,000. Sharon Cuneta’s Hermes bag will be auctioned off.

Ever remember the movie where young Trevor McKinney(played by Haley Joel Osment) made a concept where in we can achieve an Utopian society when each helps three persons but these three can't pay him back but instead has to pay it forward to another three persons and that such should be something that will truly have a big impact on that person's life.

At the present moment it seems such won't work because people seem not to care. Everyday we hear bad news from one place to another. And such has made us indifferent to our neighbor or countryman or any person. But that shouldn't be the case. It may be impossible but if we make small steps it would make a difference.

It has always been my dream to help out in building houses just as what Gawad Kalinga is doing today. I have been fortunate enough to passed my CPA Board Exam and have a work that supports my needs. I remember one time my conversations with my sister that I just wanted to have a simple life; but our life as a Delos Angeles back in our barangay where people look up to you makes me uneasy. It makes me uneasy because people think we are great clan or something but in reality we are just anyone else... that is why my desire to simplicity led me to my desire to help those who needed help. It is unfortunate that I never had that chance thus I share my talent as a blogger to spread the word where help is needed most and whatever extra I have I share...

My friends and I decided to help out and through Fr. Sam Salazar, OFM we have started this donation drive to help our brothers and sisters there in Isabela.

As per Krissy's computation we need to raise the following amount for the following needs( Fr. Sam told us that they don't accept monetary donations but in kind so the group decided to purchase these needs with your donations and bring them to Isabela which according to Fr. Sam will take about 12 hours travel from Manila)

Christmas is coming and the people of Isabela will be spending their Christmas without their homes and with an empty stomach. The children wont received any gifts from Santa Claus not because because they are bad rather their will be no gifts from their parents(Santa Claus in real life) because their livelihood is gone.

The village was founded by Maria Angeles (Lita) Peypoch Fullerton in 1989. Her vision focused on a home environment in caring for Physically and Mentally Challenged Children within a family setting.The traditional institutional setting was something that she felt was not beneficial to the growth and development of such special children with demanding needs.

He Cares Foundation was established by Joe and Ardis Sola with the aim to help the poor street children of the Philippines.

There mission is to be a channel of God’s blessing to the poor especially the street children.

Their ultimate vision is to bring street children into a personal Relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and To get them off the streets and enable them to live healthy, safe, normal lives and become happy and productive individuals of our society.

Donate

Share your financial resources with the street children of the Philippines. Support He Cares Foundation with a donation. Any amount you give, large or small, will make a real difference to a street child in need.

You may choose to make a donation for a specific purpose, or you may choose to donate to our general fund, to cover the most pressing needs. If you are celebrating a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary, you may want to consider asking for a donation for He Cares Foundation in lieu of gifts.

You may donate in dollars or pesos.

Donate Supplies

Donate food, clothes, books, toys, shoes and bags or share whatever you can. If you have contacts with supermarkets, restaurants, bakeshops, or manufacturers of food, drugs, toiletries or other supplies, you can help us by soliciting and coordinating donations of their products. Even products which are nearing the expiry date are gladly accepted.

Sponsor a Child

You may want to sponsor a child and cover the cost of his/her education. The costs vary according to the educational level of the child: elementary, high school, college or vocational course, but you can sponsor a child for as little as $1 a day. If you are a teacher, you may want to encourage your class to support a poor child to go to school. Your class can together sponsor a child. You may also gather a group of friends, co-workers or family members to sponsor a child.

Share your time and skills with the street children. Anyone can volunteer. You don't have to be a professional social worker, or teacher, but you have to have a heart that is open and willing to help the children.

You can be a tutor, teach the children and their families livelihood skills, or help in the feeding program or in the other activities in the Center. Come and join us! We will find something for you to do (and we are open to suggestions!).

I know sometimes you would say I have nothing extra to give to donations or I have no time to lend a hand to others. Do you love kids?

And do you wonder how come so many kids are in the streets of Metro Manila or any other place in the Philippines straying and begging in the streets? Probably you would think that there parents hated them and abandoned them, or their parents could have died and no one is there to take care of them, or simply some evil organization kidnapped them and put them in the streets to beg.

If you want to help them why not help Tahanan ng Pagmamahal.

Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children's Home Inc. is a a duly registered non-stock, non-profit organization under the securities and Exchange Commission, currently having 5 directors and 10 trustees is now also opening it's doors for membership. With the aim of building a big family of people serving the Lord by serving children, reaching out by registering as part of the organization is a big help.

I got a message from Bo Sanchez's newsletter about their need for a new place for the ever growing number of children. The message is below if interested please do help them:

PS3. Our Orphans Need A New Home. Our present Tahanan ng Pagmamahal orphanage has now too many kids. We need to branch out. We’re looking for a new home for our orphans.

If you have a house you’re not using, or a house we can rent at very friendly prices around Metro Manila, tell us about it!

Here are the facilities we require for the orphanage:

- Preferably in Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Quezon City, or Sta. Mesa area. (If your house is outside these areas, tell us about it anyway. We’ll consider...)

- 3 Bedrooms, 2 Toilet/Bath

- Frontyard or Backyard—so kids can play

- Single detached house (not apartment/townhouse) because neighbors might complain that a noisy orphanage is beside them.

On May 10, 2009, Maia Foundation will organize the distribution of free slippers to the poor children, 7 years old and below, from the Parish of the Holy Spirit. These children, who line up with their parents to avail for the inexpensive NFA rice, can be seen walking and travelling without slippers, a basic necessity for all especially for children who are always unmindful of the paths they are walking on. In one particular barangay school, children entering the campuses are seen without slippers going to classes.

Each pair of rubber slippers cost roughly 20 Php and we aim to distribute 500 pairs.

From Above, Through Us, To Them

Last Sunday, May 10, the Tsinelas Project of Maia Foundation and the parish of Holy Spirit went smoothly as organized. Poor children whose parents are NFA rice buyers lined up to receive their new pair of rubber slippers after the celebration of the Sunday mass by our parish priest Rev. Fr. Mike Paez. And because of the kind generosity of those who supported this project, we were able to add a light merienda snack of tetra-packed juice and enseimada bread to the delight of each child as well.

Prior to this day, we were able to distribute nearly 200 tsinelas claim stubs representing nearly 250 children beneficiaries within the 2 week preparations. On that day, about 75% of those claims stubs were handed over while the remaining 25% are still allowed to claim their tsinelas when their parents purchase their weekly NFA rice subsidy. Any unclaimed slippers will be distributed to other poor children living near the abandoned railroad tracks of Malolos.

A Time To Remember

To our everdearest Maia,

Kumusta ka na anak?

I would have wanted to talk to you in simple, even baby language until I realized that you are now an angel in Heaven. This simply means that for the past year, you have been growing in great wisdom and knowledge more than I can ever gain in my entire lifetime so I might as well converse to you as an adult. Having said that, I hope you understand me, on the contrary, if ever I sounded shallow and incoherent in our letter for you.

Time does fly or does it?

Well, I guess it all depends on which side I am speaking of. Because from where we are now, it has only been a year.

But from where you are looking down, time is unheard of since eternity need not be measured.

An hour there could be a hypothetical million years here on earth.

Speaking of “time”, did you know already that when I was in high-school we were assigned to research and report about one particular Old Testament book and our priest-instructor assigned to me – Qoheleth or Ecclesiastes as we commonly know. And from reading and reporting that book, one paragraph that really stayed, henceforward, in my mind was that of Chapter 3 verses 1 to 8.

It read,

There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens.

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot the plant.

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build.

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

A time to scatter stones, and a time to gather them; a time to embrace, and a time to be far from embraces.

A time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away.

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to be silent, and a time to speak.

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

For the past year, these verses were closely true in our hearts.

For there was a time when time itself was on our side.

Our family was complete.

Your mommy, Kuya Zek, you and I.

We were so happy then that time seemed to have stood still and that we could run out of hard disk and DVD-Rs to record our memorable moments. Each step of the way, you and kuya Zek find something interesting to muse and wonder abou which your mommy and I are simply more than willing to explain. Everyday is discovery day for all of us.

But time can only withhold for long the unseen and abrupt change that was ordained to our family. And with it came the most intense heartbreak your mother and I could ever feel. We prayed, pleaded and wailed for time to slow down so we can bring you to the hospital yet every second was like an hour and those few minutes that passed were like forever to reach. As I sat inside the taxi, embracing you tightly as I cried, I was hoping against all hope that our expected miracle was going to happen, that against all odds, you will come out just fine from that critical situation.

In the end, we still lost you and we were ushered into a new time – to mourn and grieve.

Yes, it has been a year and I just wanted to let you know once again that we, your mom, kuya Zek and I, miss you so much. That goes to say not just today but every single day. Your kuya Zek, out of the blue and thinking that Heaven is just a car-drive away, always pops up his idea of visiting you. He misses playing, sleeping, eating, running, watching TV and praying with you. Oh, do you remember the times when he annoys you? I bet you understand now that most of those time, he just wanted to swing back your attention to him whenever you started to play on your own. You were always his best buddy.

Reasonably so, your mommy hurts more deeply and more often among us. Eight months inside her and close to two years of enjoying your presence is really a short time for someone who loves you unconditionally. She sometimes still feel that she could have done more to avert what happened so I have to remind her often as well that, in life and death, only the Lord’s will matters. We can only seek the meaning and purpose of it. We can only trust Him despite the absence of full understanding. Please keep on praying for her in this regard.

As for me, you will always be my little, smart, cute, gifted, talented, sweet and lovable girl. I am pretty sure that you now know the times I stared at your sleep while daydreaming of how you will grow up to be a very beautiful and pious woman. I used to think about my future plans how to handle your growing years, your schooling days, your adolescence and pimple-boy-crushes teenage years, your university days, your dating years, and up to your wedding ceremony (Yup, I made this personal deadline of direct guidance on you because I also believe that after marriage, you have to be on your own in all your decision making. Well unless, of course, you or your future husband would come to me for advice which is technically not under the “paternal intrusion” category of your married life). Now, the sad reality is, I need to put them all into a secluded and dusty corner of my heart called “cherished dreams that can’t happen anymore” in order for me to keep my focus in loving your mother and kuya Zek while getting inspiration from the other corner where “the ways the Lord has always wanted our family to go forth” is located. Our Maia Outreach Programs is one of those fruits that we promise to take care of. Please always pray for us also in this regard.

As it is now, time beckons us to keep moving on with occasional sadness yet full of hope and loving graces. Your mommy, kuya Zek and I are all looking forward to meeting and being with you one day in Heaven. That final reunion is the one thing that time can never ever take away from us.

Shelter welcomes unwed mothers, abandoned babies

MANILA, Philippines – Hospitals saddled with abandoned newly born babies in their nurseries can now call Grace to be Born Ministry in Pasig through Rey Ortega at 0927-501-0605 or Myrna Ortega at 0917-803-9139. The shelter on 53 Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue in Kapasigan, Pasig, was blessed last May 8 by Father Roy Rosales, parish priest of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral.

Unwed pregnant women also now have a place to take refuge – with no questions asked, no deposit required for board and lodging. They are just asked not to abort.

This shelter was made possible by the couple Basti and Betty Roxas Chua, who owns the building and were giving the place for use rent-free. The couple spent P2 million to renovate the place and build rooms. This setting up of the shelter is a dream come true for Rey Ortega and Bo Sanchez of the Light of Jesus Community. Betty and Basti Roxas Chua founded Rosary for Life Philippines that opposes abortion by praying all four Mysteries of the Holy Rosary for one hour a week.

How it came about

Mr. and Mrs. Roxas Chua came to know about the need for the shelter when Rey Ortega acted as proxy for Bo Sanchez as guest speaker during the third Wednesday Mass of the Rosary for Life last November. Rey cited statistics revealing that there are at least 300,000 abortions in the Philippines in a year. Then, he mentioned the need for a shelter for unwed mothers and their babies who will be taken care of by volunteer ob-gyne and pedia doctors.

The following day, Betty Chua called Rey to lunch and discussed with him the possibilities of putting up a shelter. Rey, by the way, also runs the Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home (an orphanage), so he has experience dealing with the problem of abandoned babies.

Last January, the Chuas met with Sanchez and Ortega, and they decided to put up the shelter.
