57 Chevy Belair in HDR

I was at a wedding this past weekend and one of the guests brought his '57 Chevy Belaire! Here was a true photo op!! I took 3 bracketed photos at +1, -1, and 0 EV and 100 ISO, shutter at 1/160th as it was a tiny bit overcast. Here's the result!! I'm quite pleased with it!!

Last week I was messing with a set of bracketed photos I took while waiting for a client's set to finish processing. This morning at took another crack at the same set of photos.

Custom “Just Married” Car Magnets

I had this glorious idea to make extra large magnets for the car celebrating the “just married” scenario following a wedding! Here’s one sample I came up with… The couple’s colors are red, black, and silver and the groom is a fireman, so….

Been playing with more techniques while waiting for some processing to complete on some wedding TIFFS….

BEFORE:

I created a layered image copying the base layer into its own layer. Then applied a gaussian blur to the bottom layer. Then applied a high pass filter using linear light blending mode. this is the result! I’m very pleased with the result!!

I found while surfing, images that are HDR, which back in the day were used strictly for 3D. However it does add a depth to the photos I discovered. Here is one example of my HDR experiment… I had to compress it as a jpeg to be able to upload it… and while I can appreciate the HDR experience, photoshop does not have the capacity to render fully a true HDRI image in my opinion as it leaves too much red and blue spaces.

I will try other programs to see what results… and in time as I’m working on a set of wedding photography prints soon to be uploaded!

we just added a small 25mm lens to our repitoire mainly for black and white photojournalism type shots… we tested it out today with the duckies that come to visit us daily! This lens is perfect for capturing in Black and White!!

I’ve been playing with composites again… especially when I get a few great shots the ideas just flow!

These types are generally 10×10 or 12×12 for prints and are by far the best value. It’s also the size that generally is used in the Legend or Destiny albums!
