So, I have been making changes in my photography business a bit. I am revamping my logo (well, not that I every really had a logo) but, I did make one. Now I need to get this made so I can use it on my photos.

Along with the logo, I have totally changed all of my prices for my services and I am now offering packages for print. It is kinda scary making all of these changes, it makes me wonder if I will still have work. *crossing fingers* Some times a change 'ill do you good.

Here is the latest change I am doing with my business. I hand made these CD case holders. I was looking to change things up like I mentioned before. I think I like these. Well, at least for now I like them. Check it out - tell me what you think.

Stress and the Test

Here is the latest baby update. I just got back from the doctor with Kassee. She had a stress test on the baby this morning and everything check out A-OK with him.

The ultrasound and glucose test was a different story. Kassee is on the borderline gestational diabetic according to the glucose test. The baby is measuring in about 6 pounds. His heart is fine and he looks healthy. The baby has extra amniotic fluid around him. This is nothing to be alarmed over but it does point to diabetes. The placenta measure past full term. she will now be treated as diabetic.

With those findings the doctor now has to keep a close eye on her and the baby and make a decision:

a) is she full term and going to deliver a small baby?

b) is she 8 months and going to deliver a large baby?

The latter is what he thinks may be happening since it falls in line with her last pregnancy.

She is to do kick counts each day and she will have stress tests on the baby every Monday & Thursday. This Wednesday she will do 3 hour glucose test. Then every other Thursday she will have an ultrasound to monitor the baby. She was directed to pack her bags and go to the hospital when contracts are 5 minutes apart. And she is now considered High Risk.

So Cord could arrive anytime or any day.

.. the Phillips kids staring Mikey and Madeline and a guest appearance of Momma Megan. Oh dear Lawd, where has the time gone? I did this lovely little family back in November. Really, was it November? WOW! Time has really flown by.

We had to squeeze in the shoot one evening after school. Trying to beat the sunfall. I am happy to announce we made it, by the skin of our teeth.

I toldja Momma Megan was going to make a guest appearance. It is not that Megan wasn't in the photos. I just had tons of great shots of bro and sis. ;)

My work hosted it's annual Children's Christmas Party this past week. As, in years past it still dons tons of fun for the kiddies. Hannah was so giddy with anticipation to see the big man himself she could hardly get dressed. This year she did not have a melt down and remember her 1/2" thick envelope for Santa. *shew*

I am totally digging my new iphone. Like how cool is it that I can take a photo and post it to Flickr, Twitter, Instagram or Facebook with ONE click? Totally Cool!

When we entered the venue to jumped in line to see the jolly ole' man himself. The line was not as long as it was in years past and that was a good thing since this 7 year old could not contain herself and her special letter. I mean really - Oh My Gosh - after all it IS Santa!!!!

Funny side note here. Santa asked Hannah what she wanted for Christmas and Hannah just nodded towards the envelope he held in his hand. I said Hannah, Tell him your top 3 things you want. She nodded toward the envelope again. *head butt* Come on, Hannah this is SANTA! She would not talk to him. I have no idea what was in the 1/2" thick envelope she presented the ole' dude. *whistles* I hope HE brings her everything she asked for. *sigh*

and ...off we were to the games, food and candy! Yes, I know the focus is off. But I only had a second to grab this shot. Grrr. I so wanted those coins in focus. Oh, well you win some and you loose some. Pink & White candy cane? Whatever floats your boat, baby!

And this brings me to the part where my battery dies. Oh yes, the battery dies like 30 minutes into the festivities. Go ahead and throw stones but I did not take anything except my camera (no extra card, battery or even my purse). So, BOO!

But, let me tell you the reason my battery died. You see, I had a deal fall into my lap that I could not resist. Mike and I drove 3+ hours to pick up this

Yes, I am now the proud owner of a Nikon D300. This is the camera I eventually wanted to upgrade to. I so happens I got to upgrade way sooner than I expected. Now, Let me say that I can NOT take a single photo with this bad girl (yet)! Mike sits back rubbing his hand together and started learning how to run the D90, hince the battery run down. He has all but taken the D90 into his possession. I have another shoot before he can have her. Hannah is all about wanting to have the D40. Ha, she just asked for the Nikon J1 for Christmas. Really, girl?

Everyone have a lovely Christmas (or what ever holiday you celebrate). If you need me... I will be huddled over in the corner reading the manual to the NEW D300. ;)

Finally, we have moved into the NEW age of the Smart Phones. I have been wanting one for sometime now but didn't want the charges to get out of our current (crappy) contract and service. My son Dean has been talking to us about switching and FINALLY our crappy contract was up so we took Dean up on his offer to go in on his company account and move on up. So, that is exactly what we did. Mike and I both got the iphone 4's. His is black and mine is white not that that matters any but, the white is way more cool looking, I'm jus' sayin'!

So, with that said and all of the photos sessions I am behind on blogging I am going to just share some of my Instagram photos. Just because I can and frankly that is all I have to to post.

Eeep! Where has the time gone? Really, I can not believe that my last post was a Halloween post! Holy Smokes Batman! I suppose you can say I have been busy. Who am I fooling I.AM.STILL.BUSY!

Here is a quick run down. I have 2 weddings that I am behind on posting. I am currently editing 3 photo shoots for family that want their photos before Thanksgiving. I have a photo shoot tonight and a big *very special* shoot on Saturday. Then every week-end I have family shoots. Oh - did I mention that I work 40 hours a week? Yeah, I have a full time job also.

My nephew and his wife (we have not met) are flying in from California, where he is stationed with the Marines. He just returned from active duty in Afghanistan and we are extremely thankful that he is home safe and sound. So - since they will be here in Indiana next week we are throwing an AFTER wedding / Jump the broom / Get together for them since none of us have met his new wife and were not there when they got married. I along with my mom and brother have been getting things in order for this shindig next week. I am going to want to take photos and.. well.. you get the picture (non pun intended) here.. When will I have time to get everything finished?

AND does anyone want to come over and help me find time to get my Christmas tree up and gifts bought? AnyOne????

I bought a Jeep Commander back in October and after I had it for 2 weeks we hit a deer. Mind you - I had not made my first payment on it. But, we hit a deer to the tune of $7,000. It is still in the shop. I want/need my Jeep. Apparently, Chrysler does not have any hoods for the commanders. Really? No hoods at all in the USA? grrr.. I am not a happy camper.

In other news Hannah had her bridge over in Girl Scouts this week. She graduated from a Daisy to a Brownie. This my friends was a big deal for these 10 girls. I am going to end this post with some photos from the bridge Over and the family turkey that Hannah had to make for school.

Cute side note here: This is Mrs. Neiwidde Hannah's teacher. Well, not just Hannah's teacher but she had 8 of the 10 girls in her class at school. The girls invited Mrs. Neiwidde to the bridge over and to their surprise she came. This photo is where all the girls ran to her right after the ceremony.

And - I do want to say.. that I never in a million years would have ever thought that I would be asking my 7 year old grand daughter HOW to do this or that on a cell phone. Yup, people - I do. And to think that that (iMac & PC) she is growing up with this knowledge. She doesn't know any different. Crazy wild, eh?

Happy Halloween - My Pretties!!!

Today marks the day after I gave birth to my oldest child - thirty-one years ago! Oh dear! Anyways - I always make sure to let her know that she is my Premature Witch! ;) I do have a couple of shots from her birthday celebration yesterday, but I have not got them up loaded yet! Yup - I am a slacker!

Also, yesterday, Hannah got to enjoy the Children's Halloween Monster Mash Bash at our Local Arie 2202 Eagles club. So, this post will be of her rockin' out her awesome Bumble Bee costume.

Back in September Hannah and I had been shopping at the Old Navy Store and Hannah found the cutest Bumble Bee Costume and fell madly in love. She wanted it so bad, so bad that,she begged her little heart out for her Mimi to buy it for her. I told her that I really didn't have the extra $30 for this Bumble Bee Costume that day, we would talk about it and then maybe later we could come back and buy it. So, on the way home we discussed the costume and she was absolutely positively certain that she really wanted to be a sweet Bumble Bee for Halloween. With that decided we went online to check out Pinterest and see if we could come up with any cool ideas and maybe make a Bumble Bee Costume.

Meanwhile, on that ride home from Old Navy Hannah has conjured up, in her little mind, that her Papaw Mike could build her a Bumble Bee Costume. {snicker} We set out and combed Pinterest and really didn't find anything we even liked for Papaw Mike ~~make~~ build. Miss Hannah was pretty bummed out for a few weeks. Until, Papaw Mike came to the rescue and ~~built~~ ran to the nearest *Halloween Store and BOUGHT her the cutest Bumble Bee Outfit evah! Well, Papaw Mike and I thought it was the cutest Bumble Bee Outfit..EVAH!!

Little did we know that .....

**Miss ~~spoiled~~ Hannah doesn't think the costume that Papaw Mike got her, in the photos below, is nearly as cute as the Old Navy Bumble Bee Costume that she HAD to have. I beg your pardon! See for your self.

And - a few from the Eagle's Monster Mash Bash yesterday. My friend Davette brought in a cotton candy machine hence the multitude of cotton candy shots.

P.S. How does one make a Bumble Bee face on a 7 year old?

I am alive! I have just been super dooper busy. Here are a few photos that show a tiny bit of what I have been busy doing these days. Now, let's play catch up! A few photo shoots each.week.end! I am not complaining at all, the culling and editing over the gad million zillion photos that I take does require quite a bit of time. This is from my very first every photo shoot (family) that I ever did. Gosh, I love these guys sooo sooo much. Oh - just a funny thought. I prolly should go back and post a few shots from that very 1st (family) photo shoot. hehehehe and My Hannah had to be in some of the shots. Can you tell she is smitten with Sean? Thank You, Deena for letting her hone in on some of your family shots! But Hannah & Kendra can sure rock the camera like no other! Sean-y no wonder my grand daughter loves you! You rock the camera also, boy! Then I bought a new car. A Jeep Commander to be exact! Love! I have been wanting one since they came out. So I got the title for Jeep to get new tags - but the title name with my Commanders VIN # was for a Cherokee. So, yeah can you say uhhh oohhh? *sigh* Oh how I love BMV drama. I think BMV employees must have a prerequisite with Bitch to get a job there. OH MY! After the 'Mander's arrival to our family. There was this shoot. Oh! What! Fun! Brynn is such a ~~ham~~ cutie! AND- then this much awaited right to passage took place. Please excuse the blurry photos. It was hard to get a clear focus on a squirmy & excited 7 year old. Look how proud she is on this! Really she has been trying for 6-8 months to get that sucker out. The roots were so long. But, it made its way out - finally! Oh, I must not forget that work has been kickin' my chicken - with no mercy. Man, I know the full moon has passed but, geeze Louise the work has not slowed down one tiny bit. Plus, I wont even mention all the person at home crap that seems to have started steaming. Oh drama let me count the way I love you - NOT! Let us not forget in the middle of all of the memory making going ons. .. My son and I had to put our dearly loved Princess Pug to sleep. Oh, it was such a hard time. Hard hard hard. Then throw in some family drama. Oh, such fun times! R.I.P Princess, Prenny, Prenilita, baby girl! I miss you so...... Meanwhile I/we (Mike & I) continue to snap memories for many families to enjoy for years to come. Like, Janice & Donnie's nuptials. This is a small snippet of photos from their very special day. We got so many great photos we are still in edit mode! ;) Nerves setting in, Janice? And the following week-end after Janice & Donnie's wedding we were given the pleasure of capturing Sam & Jaime's wedding down in Vevay Indiana - such a lovely little town. ... has been waiting for a very long time for this day. FINALLY - after months and months and months of trying .. Hannah's first tooth has finally vacated her mouth, with the determination of her Aunt Erin, there was nuttin' to it but to do it! That is just what they did. Oh, the childhood joys of loosing a first tooth. Do I spy a few freckles popping up on the princess's nose? Oh, yes, I am aware this is very blurry but, we need to document this moment in history. mmm - yeah, this is a little bit gross but look how happy that child is! She preformed all kinds of happy dances after the extraction. This photo does not display the sheer joy this girl experienced. I think she was really tired of me trying to get that 'ittle bitty teeny tiny tooth in focus along with the toothless smile. OH! Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy! was displayed all over the Indiana last night! PS I really do not like hot blogger will not hold the spaces I put in my posts. Now, all the lines just run together. grrr.. annoying to say the least!

Seriously, every time I shoot this family I have the best time. They really make my job pretty easy. We have so much fun every time we get together and even for photo shoots. ;) They are always up for ANYTHING! Thanks so much Deena for a fantabulous shoot. I love you guys! Really, for realz I do!!! This time around Matt and his daughter Jolie were there for some photos. I don't think they were to afraid of me and my wacky ideas! Be sure to pay extra close attention to the photos of the extended family on the rock stairs. Matt made them for his work. Pretty neat-o if I do say so myself. Summer needed some photos for Carter's Great Great Grandma (I think it) who was coming to visit in a few weeks. This day was a great day to shoot outside. The air was very Fall-ish, very breezy and for once the sun was (finally) not trying to scorch us to death. Mmmm I love me some Fall weather! Enjoy you some Summer and Carter photos. Carter wanted to blow the bubbles. The more Summer continued to try to blow bubbles the louder and harder Carter screamed. I had to go with the flow and grab a shot of his fit he was throwing. I am sure momma can use it as blackmail or perhaps save it for some entertain for his girlfriends... ?.. lol Ha! After Summer attempted multiple times to produce some bubbles, to no avail, she handed the bubble over to Carter since he was throwing such a brat fit. And and and .. this photo is the result of his attempt at blowing bubbles. Really ? Oh and did I mention how windy it was outside? Yeah! Oh the joys of parenting and photography! ;)

The Grand Pug

So, this is my dog Princess. Let me correct that, this is my son Dean's dog. He got her his Freshman year of college and kept her in his fraternity house with him for all 4 years. Then he went back to get his Masters and could not have the dog that that college so Prinny (Princess) came to live with her grandma has been with me for about 8 years now.

Dean and I argue over just how old our girl really is. I say she is 12 years old and he insists that she is 10. I suppose that is neither here nor there at this point. In dog years - regardless she is an old girl.

Early this past summer Princess started dragging her hind legs and was have a hard time walking and it has continued to progress and worsen. After many trips to the vet she was diagnosed with Hip Displasia.

After a few shots and some oral steriod therapy, Prinny was walking better. Don't get me wrong - Princess was NOT walking NORMAL , but she was walking better and she was able to move around and function. However, after the steriods ran out she slowly declined and started scooting with her butt on the floor.

So, back to the vet we went, only to find out that the Oral Steriod Therapy was over. We thought that the therapy would be over a course of a few months or even for ever. Sadly, we found out that the Oral Steriod Therapy was only for the 3 weeks that she took it.

Now, 1 week later she can not move around at all. I have to get her out of her bed and put her in front of her food and water. Then she gets carried back to her bed. I have her bed all covered in plastic with puppy training pads so that she can remain as comfy as she can be and the pads can be changed easily.

My niece Paula Ann bought Princess this St. Francis Patron of the animals charm to wear.

.. and that is just what they did. My step daughter Erin and her fiance were joined in marriage way back on August 13, 2011. (See how far behind I am?) The day called for thunderstorms....darn it! :( With the weather being iffy there had to be back up plans in place (well for me anyways). But, the day dawned a beautiful balmy sunny 95 degree. So, no back up plans where needed. Yay! Here are a few of my favorites from the day! Congratulations Erin & Nick! The cute flowergirls and ringbearer - Oh so cool-lee-o!

DOUBLE the pleasure and DOUBLE the fun!

Oh man! To say we have been busy is just an understatement. Last week end my Step Daughter was married and the follow morning I did a DOUBLE senior photo shoot for Mike's Cousin and his niece. I think both girls had a great time doing the shoot. It took extra long because they traded clothes - in the back seat of a car. Over all I think everything turned out nicely.

I have finally finished up editing their photos and have their CD's ready to be mailed out tonight.

It is hard to believe that today my little grand daughter turned 7 years old! Really? Where did the time go?

Not only did Hannah turn seven years old today she also started her first day of 2nd grade. Oh yeah there was one very excited girl in our house bright and early this morning.

I know I am such a mean Mimi, I only let her open ONE gift before school.

I wonder if you can tell, by looking at this picture, what Hannah's favorite store is? Actually, her entire outfit she has on is from that favorite store, everything except her shoes.
