Want to learn hacking and cybersecurity? Follow these 10 steps to kickstart on your hacking career. Hacking! The term has glamourous connotation for some while others view hackers with contempt. Hacking was mainly used in the “good old days” for getting information about systems and IT in general. Over the years it has got a negative connotation due to few hackers who are also cyber criminals.If you leave aside the cyber crime part, hacking is a very respectable field with top dollar being paid to top grade ethical hackers. Most of the tech companies hire hackers to test the strengths and weaknesses of their own system and software. These hackers know when to stop, and the positive trust they build earns them a large salary.

If you are ready to jump in and learn the art, below are a few tips that will help you get started!
Question yourself: Why do I want to learn? Hacking does not mean interrupting a website or breaking into someone’s email accounts. While cracking is malicious, hacking is about how to usefully deploy systems and involve in a specific style of programming.
Nowadays, hacking is normally used to include data breaches, system cracks and malicious attacks, but you need to ask yourself — is it really worth the risk? If you are truly interested in programming and systems, then ethical hacking could prove to be a lucrative career choice — for the right reasons.

What is hacking?

Hacking is much more than using software to brute-force a password, or hiring a botnet to launch DDoS attacks against a website for the fun of it or cracking your media streaming kit to download shows for free. It is about solving problems and finding answers, whether in the IT field or otherwise.

Choosing the correct programming language

You shouldn’t limit yourself to any particular language. But you need to learn the programming language before you start prodding around. The important factor here is interest. If you become bored, you are likely to become irritated and give up your efforts. Be it any programming language such as Python, C++, Perl or any other language, the important thing is know the basics that also gives an idea of operating systems such as Windows and Unix, as well as networking. This will help in fundamental understanding to bind everything together at a later stage.

Getting the right tools

What operating system are you using, and why? Research different tools and systems normally used by those in cybersecurity while you are learning programming or working on a project. For instance, the open-source Linux build Kali is a popular option — as it comes pre-loaded with hundreds of tools for use in the ethical hacking field.
You can run this along with other systems, such as Windows or Mac. However, using a virtual machine to run Kali on Mac can lead to problems due to Apple’s code and permissions, such as an inability to use the internal wireless adapter. It is recommended to use this situation only as a way to learn Kali and workarounds methodically.
Kali also has a Android version and since Android is ruling the landscape, it would do you a host of good if you concentrate your bug finding venture on smartphones.

Be a part of a project or sign up for a course

Most youngsters want to take up hacking but dont know where to start. As said above, most of them think hacking happens at a click of fingers but it is not so. You have to put in lot of hours to get your hacking targets right. Websites such as Coursera and Udemy are a good place to learn these basic skills, you can also sign up for a course for the same. Depending on how to learn best, taking a step-by-step course with tutorials could be the way forward, or otherwise, find a project.
Hacking, patches, improvement, and mods are all interweaved through understanding a programming language or an operating system. So take up something that interests you whether it is streamlining and creating a program, or creating a gaming mod, or fixing a security issue, or joining community competitions offered by groups such as Hackthissite.org.

The open-source community always welcomes people who have a good knowledge of computers, operating systems and programming and love to solve problems and think creatively. A great place to start is GitHub, which is not a wonderful way to meet other hackers, developers and both professionals and enthusiasts but also is a good way to polish your skills and have a hand in enhancing coding and streamlining.

Choosing it as a career

The decision is left to you. You can hack purely for the love of it and hopefully contribute to software development or projects for the good of all and research, or you could go down a path that may land you with fines and jail. ASUU SUSPENDS STRIKE

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has announced a “conditional suspension” of its strike.

The ASUU President, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, stated this at a briefing at the Nigeria Labour Congress secretariat.

Ogunyemi said the strike was suspended after the union gave the Federal Government a deadline of the end of October to fulfil its promises.

He said, “After an elaborate and extensive consultation process, the National Executive Council of ASUU has agreed to conditionally suspend the ongoing strike action.

“So, all members of ASUU are to resume work after their branch congresses on Tuesday (tomorrow), September 19. However, ASUU will not hesitate to review its position, should the government renege on its MoA, which you all witnessed today.”

The EFCC, Lagos zonal office, has arrested eight suspected Internet fraudsters. The suspects are Samsonre: Olujobi, 28 (a.k.a Mau Rice, Melinda Mcginnis); Abraham Sunday ( a.k.a. Raymond Dodson) 32; Gabriel Ayo ( a.k.a. Robert Mcintosh, Donald Great) 25.

ASUU NEC meets to consider FG offer

An emergency National Executive Council (NEC) of Academic Staff Un ion of Universities (ASUU) will meet between Monday night and Tuesday to consider the Federal Government offer.

The leadership of ASUU yesterday invited branch chairmen to Abuja for an emergency NEC meeting to discuss the outcome of its meeting with government team. If the offer is favourable, NEC will call of the four week-old strike.
ASUU had promised government team comprises of Minister of Labour and Productivity, Senator Chris Ngige and Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu that it will consult with NEC before taking a position on the on going strike based on government offer.
A member of ASUU NEC told Daily Sun that the meeting will start this evening (Mon day) till tomorrow and the leadership will present government offer to NEC members to take decision.
ASUU members nationwide embarked on an indefinite strike on Monday, August 14 accusing the Federal Government of failure to redeem the terms of agreement signed in 2009 and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) endorsed by both parties in 2012.

CYBER SECURITY: REQUIRED PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES

I’m not going to put any labels on this – like "this is good for a white hat" or "this language is great if you are in the blue team", which I know other resources tend to do.

Rather than that I’ll be focusing on the languages that I’ve found useful to know and understand from my experience, reading online and simply by listening to people’s experiences.
I’ll also try to give some good examples on books and other resources you can use to learn these languages from. The below list is in no way ranked and I think it’s important to realize that there are times when a certain language would be great and other times when it simply might not be the best tool for the job.

So rather than looking at this list as a be-all end-all resource, look at it somberly and understand that programming languages are tools in a toolbox. You could use a hammer to put a screw in a wall, but it’s not as effective as using a screwdriver.

Let’s get to it!

Pretty much every OS comes bundled with C and nearly all libraries and frameworks you will be dealing with are going to be built or partially built using C. Why? It’s a lean and efficient (when done right) language that can do basically anything from using socket-networking to do image-processing.

From an Info/CyberSec perspective this language is great to learn (some, or a lot) of because it makes you understand how certain ‘basic’ things work. It also makes it easier for you to understand how a specific exploit or tool works and how you can tweak it to do morefor you.

C is used in a lot of software, but I usually see it used in embedded systems development and other low-level (where you are working close to the hardware, like network cards) programming.

Inherently most cryptographic libraries are based on C-code, so C would be a great bet if you want to get into cryptography!

Here is a great list of books from beginner to advanced. You really can’t go too wrong with StackOverflow!

C++

There is a great quote by Bjarne Stroustrup, the founder of the language (or library):

“C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot; C++ makes it harder, but when you do it blows your whole leg off.”

Basically you can think of C++ as C’s big brother on crack, meth and steroids all at the same time. It’s an absolutely fantastic language that I think everyone should at least learn some off, if only to understand just how difficult it is to work with and to appreciate the sort of people who work with it on a daily basis.

As mentioned above it’s built on the same source-code as C, with a bunch of libraries that makes C++ a lot easier to work with whilst still giving you the some of the sort of low-level access you would expect from C.

There are literally TONNES of good programs built on or using C++ for parts of it. One that pops out is nmap, a widely used tool that let’s you scan and enumerate a server.

C++ is used in many resource-constrained and performance-critical settings like on e-Commerce servers and in stock applications, so anything that needs to be quick and safe.

Here is another great article with some good examples of books if you want to learn C++. I’d stay away from the C++ primer if you are a complete beginner. I’ve got it at home but whenever I pick it up for some references whenever I am programming something I find that I feel even more confused and like I know a lot less than when I initially picked it up. It’s a fantastic book, though – you just need to have some prior knowledge of C++ or other languages.

PYTHON

God, where do I even start? I love this language.

If you are new to programming and want to pick it up as a skill, then I’d suggest starting with this language. Not only is the syntax very easy to understand (when you get past the friggin’ indentations), but it also has a seamless amount of libraries to do basically anything you would want to do.

You can do anything from multi-threaded programming to use its libraries to send TCP-packets to machines. The potential of the language is further increased by how easy it is to interface C-code into it, which combines the development speed of Python with the efficiency of C.

Python is also widely used when performing crypto- and malware-analysis. So if you want to work with that, you should have a look at Python! (I know, it’s awesome!).

In the case of learning Python I’d suggest looking up this website and use it together with the python docs. When you have a solid foundation and written one or a few medium-large programs I’d suggest getting a copy of Violent Python as it has a lot to teach. It’s mainly geared to the offensive security side of things, but if you understand how the offensive side thinks, you can use that to build defensive scripts too!

Trust me, if you don’t know this language – you should!

Bash is a great scripting language to pick up in case you are mainly on a Linux OS (or if you are using ‘Bash for Windows‘).

From my own personal perspective it’s a great tool to use when penetration testing as it usually comes bundled on most of the machines I’ve attacked, meaning I can easily send over a script that could automate processes that I need to perform (like cleaning logs).

I’d suggest people who are unfamiliar with Linux to learn some of the language as it would not only help with automating menial tasks, but also most likely will introduce you to new commands.

JAVASCRIPT

I know, some of you might be scratching your heads now, but bare with me.

You simply can’t go anywhere nowadays where you aren’t at least seeing something made in JavaScript, meaning it’s important for us to at least understand the basic fundamentals of how this language works – regardless of if we want to use it for exploits or if we need to harden our system.

It used to be that JavaScript was mainly a client-side language (meaning that it executed code on the guest system rather than on the server), but nowadays we see it both on the server and client-side of things.

This means that (depending on your mindset) there are double the amount of potential exploits or double the things that needs to be hardened.

So what do you actually do with JavaScript? We mainly see JavaScript used on our browsers or on webservers. Some common frameworks (as of 16/02 -17) are NodeJS, AngularJS, ReactJS, jQuery etc. The first (NodeJS) being a server-side framework that allows you to create APIs to transfer data from the server and the three other are mainly client-side with their own individual strengths and weaknesses.

The reason to learn this language is simple: It’s used everywhere, so knowing it is always going to be beneficial to you – regardless of what your purpose is. In addition to it being used everywhere it is also very easy to pick up, so even if you are a beginner you will easily learn how to use the language for basic things like displaying text on a webpage.

Here are some good resources to pick up the language. As the title says it’s for beginners who wish to learn the language in a short period of time.

PROPRIETARY SCRIPTING LANGUAGES

This includes all languages of various networking vendors like Cisco.

These languages would mainly benefit you if you are working with their respective hardware. Like if you were working with the Cisco IOS you would be working with TCL to automate things.

I’ve got extremely limited experience with these sort of languages, and all I really can say is that knowing these scripting languages would benefit you if you are going to be working with a certain specific type of hardware or a particular type of network and its security.

I know there are a bunch of other languages that I’ve missed (Ruby, Java etc) and I do realize many of you might disagree with me placing JavaScript in the list. But I do believe it is getting more and more important for us to at least have a basic understanding on how that language works simply because it is everywhere.

I hope this proves to be a decent list and helps some of you all out in your quest of learning about programming language’s part of Info/CyberSec.

As I mentioned earlier, look at these languages as tools in your toolbox rather than a silver-bullet.

ASUU CALLS OFF STRIKE NEXT WEEK.

ASUU’ll call off strike next week, we’ll release N53bn — FG

Meanwhile, Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, said yesterday, that the on-going strike by ASUU would be called off next week, adding that N53 billion would be released to the union.

Speaking before the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND, led by Senator Jibrin Barau APC, Kano North, the Minister disclosed that the executive arm of government had commenced plans to ensure that it honoured the agreement with ASUU.

The Minister, who noted that he had written to the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, for the money, disclosed that she had already approved the money, adding that the money would be paid on Monday when the striking lecturers would receive the cheque.

He said: “ASUU asked for N23billion to be paid, but we said the condition for getting the N23billion was for them to account for the N30billion they had taken and they were not able to account for it.

“The Minister of Finance undertook to do the audit from the ministry and we agreed that the result will be known in six months. During that six months, government undertook to be paying ASUU N1.5billion each month during the time they were waiting for this.

‘’However, their grouse was that the forensic audit promised by the Minister of Finance had not been done and the money promised not paid.

“So, at our meeting two days ago, the agreement was to pay them all and do forensic audit on the entire N53billion.

“That was what I tried to do yesterday (Wednesday). I wrote to the Minister of Finance and she has already approved and this money will be paid. Probably, by Monday, they will be able to receive the cheque.

“We didn’t agree with ASUU on their request that TSA should be taken out. I told them that it is not possible because it is a new policy and government is not going to change it for anyone.

“Concerning their salary short fall, we said the reason springs from universities employing people without proper authority.

“For instance, a university can just decide to go and recruit 50 people without notifying IPPIS. So, what they are going to get is the money they got last month, which will not be sufficient for them. We have told them that institutions should, henceforth, stop doing that and they accepted.

“There is the issue of registration of their pension commission. I think they have one or two issues to iron out with PENCOM and I believe they will also be able to solve the problem within a week.

“The issue of renegotiation is already ongoing, which will not affect what we have said. I have already written a letter formalizing the meeting and all the agreements we had with ASUU and gave them the letter yesterday.

“From the way they received it, I think it is possible that the strike will be called off within a week maximum.”

Chairman of the Committee, Senator Jibrin Barau, commended the Minister for his efforts towards ensuring that the situation was resolved and the strike called off.

Everyone who gets married says, “I do.” No one says, “I do…until…I don’t.” Jed Diamond explains.

My wife, Carlin, and I were enjoying a wonderful dinner at the new vegan Caribbean restaurant in Willits when a friend and his wife saw us eating outside. “How’s the food here?” Henry wanted to know. “It’s great,” we told them. “It’s real, authentic, handmade, and delicious.” As we chatted they introduced us to Henry’s brother and his wife. They were in town for the wedding of

Henry’s daughter. “I just happen to have a picture,” Henry said as he scrolled through his smart phone

There was a lovely shot of his beautiful daughter in a stunning wedding gown looking up at her new husband. There is so much hope and desire in their eyes. As a marriage and family counselor who has been working with men and women for more than 40 years, I can’t help but see both sides of the future: Marriages that end and marriages that last.

Approximately 50% of first marriages end in divorce.
75-80% of men and women who have a failed first marriage will remarry, usually within five years.
However, 66% of second marriages and 73% of third marriages end in divorce.

Everyone who gets married says, “I do.” No one says, “I do…until…I don’t.” Everyone who gets married wants the “I do” to last “until death do we part,” but too often it ends before then. I know. It happened to me. Being a therapist, presumably an expert in understanding love and marriage, I thought I would beat the odds. But my first marriage lasted less than ten years and produced two great children. I followed the pattern and remarried after three years, but that marriage was short lived.
Before going for number three and facing the 73% divorce statistic, I decided I’d get to the bottom of what kills most marriages. I think I found the answer, at least one that made sense to me. I fell in love again and got married for the third time to a woman who had also been married twice before and had spent time learning how to have a marriage that lasts. All I can say is “so far, so good.” Carlin and I have been together now for 37 years. I can say we’re more in love now than ever and looking forward to another 37 years together and if there’s life after death, we hope to enjoy that together, as well.

So, what kills most marriages? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard the phrase. “I still love him/her, but I’m no longer in love with him/her anymore.” But that’s not the real killer. Falling out of love is just a symptom. The real killer is: “Stinkin’ Thinkin.’”
Let me explain. “Stinking, thinking” is a term often heard in addiction recovery circles and speaks to the way addict’s mind works in a way that often gets them in trouble. For instance, one common expression of “stinkin, thinkin,” is the thought “I’m only going to have one drink, no more.” For an alcoholic one drink is never enough. There’s a simple three step description that summarizes what happens.

The man takes a drink.
The drink takes a drink.
The drink takes the man.

When our mind is in one state of consciousness we assume it will remain there. When we take the first drink our mind is unclouded by alcohol. But once we’ve take drink #1, we are now operating from an alcohol-impaired mind-set and for an alcoholic that is deadly.
We don’t often think about love and addiction together, but there are some similarities and they can lead to the kind of stinkin’ thinkin’ that can kill a marriage. George Bernard Shaw recognized the connection when he observed:

“When two people are under the influence of the most violent, most insane, most delusive, and most transient of passions, they are required to swear that they will remain in that excited, abnormal, and exhausting condition continuously until death do them part.”

So, we now have some clues about the kind of stinkin’ thinkin’ that kills marriages:
“When I fall in love, it will be forever.” That’s a great lyric for a love song, but bad thinking for marriage.
“When I’m no longer in love, it means that all the real passion and pleasure that makes marriage worth all the stresses and strains, trials and tribulations, is over.”
“Without passion and pleasure, incompatibility sets in. We often become irritable, angry, and depressed. No one wants to be with someone they are incompatible with. It’s best to move on and find my real soul partner with someone who is a better fit for me.”
Fortunately, we can improve our thinking about love and marriage, based on new science rather than old love songs. In my book, The Enlightened Marriage, I share the things that I’ve learned that can lead to the kind of marriage that stays juicy and passionate through the years.

I help people understand the ways in which our thinking has caused us to misperceive important truths about love and marriage. Once we understand what is really going on in all 5 stages we can re-order our thinking as follows:

“Falling in love is nature’s trick to get humans to pick a mate so that our species carries on. It is short lived in Stage 1.”
“Becoming a couple in Stage 2 has less to do with making love than building a life.”

11 Signs You’re in the Wrong Relationship

Here are some questions every man in a relationship needs to ask himself.

If you have followed me at all before, you more than likely know my shifty backstory.

What you may not know is that, despite my philandering, no-good cheating ways, I’ve always been entrenched in what most would call a serious relationship. When I think back on each of these botched attempts at union, I would have said, without a doubt, “ah, yes, mate, she’s the one!”

Think back yourself. Picture all their faces. How many times have you been in love? Or better yet, how many times have you thought you were in love?

On my end, these were long term relationships, like 2 or 3 years, and, in one instance, 5 years.

I’ll spare the granular details of all these past relationships, but what I think might be worth your time to is hear about that 5 year one. My close call.

I’m guessing you’ll learn a great deal from this, just as I did, as this happened to be the exact relationship where I made a decision to figure out what was really going on with me. In the head.

I asked this question:

Joe, are you truly happy in your relationship, or are you just putting up with it?

That question was aimed to help me see myself as I really was.

A man’s mind can play tricks on him. Convince him that where he’s at is where he wants to be, especially if it isn’t. You could be like, yup, I’m happy, but because you said this inside your head, and not out loud, it loses the power to make or break reality.

Because, well, we’re as manly as a Viking warlord, and the captain of our own ship, we seldom question the first thing that comes to mind with any question, let alone relationship stuff.

When I answered this question out loud, hearing made it easier to hear the deception in my voice when I answered yes, and then, by comparison, hearing the truth reverberate when I said something different, louder.

Try it. Read the question again and say your answers out loud, so you can hear your own voice. It’ll seem dumb at first, like talking to yourself in the mirror. You’ll feel like a positive psychology nutjob. Ignore that.

Not convinced? Then supersize the question. Add some torque to it so you can really feel the implications of where you’re at: Can you see yourself marrying your current partner and being with her for the long term, raising a family, and growing old together, knowing she’ll be the only woman you’ll have sex with the rest of your life?

I hesitated. And hesitated and mumbled something along the lines of, “I don’t see myself having children or even being tied down to anyone.”

To be honest, I still had my father’s beliefs and negative patterns running when it came to trusting and settling down with one woman, but the “I don’t see myself having children” part I’m not sure.

Maybe it was a fear of how I didn’t know, from experience, how to be a good father (I didn’t necessarily have the best role model). Or it might have just been that I didn’t think the girl I was with at the time had the qualities, characteristics, and ability to be the mother and wife I would want around if I did have children and a family.

I was asked those questions about 3 years into my 5-year relationship. The clues were always there, but, for whatever reason, I wasn’t aware of them. I had convinced myself everything was “normal” and as it should be.

I’ve come up with 11 Signs You’re in the Wrong Relationship.

If these are to be helpful in any way, you must, of course, accept that you are the only person responsible for your relationship and, as such, you are the only person who can get you out.

Sure, blame it on the girlfriend. Or the moon. Or Trump.

Need more of a kick? If you are in an unhappy relationship, you are leaving money on the table in your Personal Training Business and, slowly but surely, wiping you clean of all the characteristics that would make you a proper Fit Man.

So when you read the 11 Signs, have the courage to see yourself as you really are, so that you can find out what is wrong and how you can correct it. And something must be at least a wee bit off with your current ways, or you wouldn’t still be reading this.

As you read the list, hold up a mirror carefully and really see how many of these you use.

1. You rarely initiate sex but easily fantasize about other women (past sexual encounters).

To anyone else, your partner would be seen as sexually attractive, but she is not getting your mojo working anymore. Often, you talk yourself out of this truth when other people pay her compliments. It’s a lame reason to stay with her, but at this point, you’re hanging on to anything you can.

1.1 On occasions you are more than fantasizing about women.

Hate the player and hate the game. You are out there, stringing other girls along, having one night stands, texting, sexting, meeting for coffee, anything. Your radar is always on, searching for something new or better.

2. A lads night out or a romantic night in with the missus?

A night out with the lads every time. The lads aren’t really that important to you. But you’ll do anything to avoid spending a night in with her.

3. You are quick to justify why you haven’t married or had children yet.

You know the real reasons why you haven’t, but have somehow created convincing stories as to why you haven’t.

If I had the money I would…

We’re not yet ready…

My business is still growing…

We can’t afford our own house yet to bring up a family…

We will… one day …

Etc.

4. You check their phone.

This shows how much distance actually exists in your relationship. And if I’m honest, I only ever felt the need to check my partners phone was when it was me who was up to something. Really, I was looking for “evidence” on her phone to justify leaving her. This is what cheats and cowards do.

5. I feel bad or sad for my partner.

The hero. If I leave, who will take care of her?

When I said this to my coach, he shot me down straight away with this reply:

You didn’t feel bad when you were texting that other girl, and what about the other night when you got in a 6am after being with that girl from the strip club? Feel bad my ass.

It was guilt more than anything. Guilt of over promising, and under delivering.

6. I can’t imagine my partner with another trainer (man).

If you are still only in a relationship because you can’t bare the thought of her being with someone else, than you totally don’t have your shit together.

7. You threaten to leave a lot.

Man, if someone kept doing this you’d think they leave you right? It doesn’t happen, do you know why? Because your partner is just as defective as you are. She must be if she chose you in this weakest ass version of you.

8. You have your own plans and dream which are separate from her.

You have no desire to share your dreams and plans. If anything, she is seen as an extra burden.

9. You are emotionally and verbally abusive.

You act out. You misbehave. You argue and argue, where before you wouldn’t have. This is a sign that you lack respect and love for your partner.

10. Financially dependant on her.

She helps pay the bills each month. She helps you out in times of need, and you don’t know how you will survive without her. This is dumb. Man up. Make more money. Or spend less. Remove the excuse, and see the truth.

11. My relationship is OK in comparison to others…

On occasion, you try your best to convince yourself that she is the right one. Because there are so many other relationships which are way worse than yours.

That’s just the thing. You might feel that you have it good but you are comparing yourself to the wrong relationship and men.

So, again, are you truly happy in your relationship?

Though this post may seem jaded, I am forever grateful to my ex’s because they taught me a lot about myself and, more importantly, what I was actually looking for in a partner and, ultimately, myself.

It was no easy ride. I had a lot of the baggage to deal with.

It is a standard misconception, particularly among men, the vagina needs to be scent-free. The reality is, a scent that is distinctive for every girl is emitted by the female reproductive organ.
This scent that is original is a mix of the beneficial bacteria that flourish in your vagina, the food you take in, your degree of hygiene, and the way much you sweat.
On the flip side, using a lot of soaps and scents to get your woman parts smell fine can in fact undermine their

ASUU AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MEETING ENDS IN DEADLOCK

ABUJA-A meeting held Thursday, in Abuja, between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, to resolve the ongoing industrial action by the latter, just ended without agreement. But both the government, represented by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige and his education counterpart, Adamu Adamu and ASUU.

representatives, led by its president, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, agreed to reconvene within a week, to continue the negotiations. The meeting which was held at the conference room of the Minister of Labour and Employment ended after much deliberation on issues that led to the industrial dispute. Briefing newsmen shortly after the meeting, both sides said there was tremendous progress following offers made by government and position of the union on the new offers. But both the representatives of government and ASUU refused to disclose the offers just as ASUU President said he was taking the deliberations and offers by government to members with a view to responding appropriately to them within one week.

1. Make friends with successful people and occasionally buy them gifts and surprise them with lunch because successful people always give and hardly get, so when you give them, they value the gift a lot.

2. Get a mentor and follow his instructions and respect the relationship. Never beg your mentor for money or disrespect his or her privacy.

3. Make new positive friends as often as possible and ensure you keep the communication line open. Create a network of friends and not just connections.

5. Show kindness to everyone. Some small boys today will be big boys tomorrow. The biggest dog in the neighbourhood was once a puppy. Keep the information/secret to yourself.

6. Always plan ahead and be proactive. He that plans the future works less in the future.

7. Listen to speeches and messages from great teachers, both religious and educational.

8. Attend seminars and trainings on any area you need to improve yourself - Train the trainer, personal development, public speaking, sales etc.

9. Have the habit of keeping a pen and a writing pad handy because ideas come in the form of flashes. The smallest pen is bigger and better than the biggest brain.

10. Make sure at every point in time you are reading a book. If you spend 20 minutes reading daily, for 52 weeks you would have consumed 1,000,000 words.

11.Stay away from television as much as possible. You can watch educational channels. Men with big TV sit in front of them to watch men with big libraries.

12 Put control over your mouth; never say evil of any man; what you are not certain of should not be said. Say good of all men.

13. Always show appreciation for any good deed you received.

14. Always help someone in need.

15. Live a debt free life. What you can’t pay cash for is not your size.

16. Give out loans that you can part with as gift, so that you don’t destroy your business and relationship.

17. Create legitimate multiple sources of income.

18. Save at least 10 percent of your income.

19. Invest a portion of your income, and be patient to see it grow. If what you have in your hands is not good to be called a harvest then it’s a seed; sow it.

20. Keep a good financial record of all income and expenses, so you won’t ask later “where did my money go”

21. Be involved in community service- Control traffic, free lesson class for students etc.

In a society where commitment seems to be a thing of the past, what qualities do men look for in a women they want to marry?

She is family oriented.
Before I get heat from people who say that not everyone is close to their family and that doesn’t make them a bad person or whatever – that goes without saying. Let’s keep in mind that I speak from my own perspective and to me, a woman who values both her and my family is important when considering a long term future. I’m sure most men who someday want a family of their own would agree with me.
She is kindhearted.

I’m not quite sure how to explain this one. I feel like just the word ‘kindhearted’ in itself gets the point across.
A woman who is thoughtful. Loving. Caring. Who does small things for you for no other reason that she loves you (as you do for her). A woman who, when she smiles at you, gives you no choice but to smile back. A woman who radiates warmth from her heart. That is a woman a man would want to marry.

She is intellectually challenging.
There is no denying that someone’s looks are what initially draws us to them. It’s difficult to spot a great personality from across the room. Many a fling was built on physical attraction alone, but how long can it last?

To clarify the point, think of consistency as the opposite of volatility. If someone is unpredictable and volatile, it’s difficult to know how they will be acting towards you on a certain day, and that gets old no matter how aesthetically pleasing she is.

I am all about giving in relationships. I believe seeing your significant other happy should also make you happy – but it is important to understand that it goes both ways.

This is often an extension of the family-oriented point in the beginning, because many times our value system comes from our upbringing. The things we find important (or not), the things we believe in strongly (or not), the way we treat others, and ourselves. It doesn’t matter how attracted you are to someone or even how well you get along, if your values don’t align, you will always be clashing in the long term.

Physical attractiveness.
Sorry, but it has to be said. The good news is, every man is attracted to a different type of woman and has his own personal tastes. Meaning, I am in no way suggesting a woman has to fit a certain image of ‘beauty’ in order to be considered ‘wife material.’ But, as is true for both men and women, there needs to be a physical attraction between two partners to kick off a relationship, which also plays an important part in holding it together.

She is friendly and sociable.
I know, at least for me, I enjoy being social and I love having my girlfriend by my side. So, naturally, we will find ourselves together out at events or even just bumping into people at a restaurant or bar. No man wants to be worried about the attitude his girlfriend or wife is going to give to the friend he is trying to introduce her to. He doesn’t want her to turn up her nose or be short with them – it is important that as his teammate in life, she is his teammate in all areas of life.
Of course, needless to say, he should possess the same qualities and extend the same courtesy to her friends, family, coworkers, and anyone else in her life he gets introduced to.

She has a sense of humor.
We know how important it is to women for the man in their life to have a generally good sense of humor, but I’d argue it’s equally as important in the other direction as well. Particularly if a man has a great sense of humor, it will be lost on a woman who is too dry or stiff. Furthermore, it could cause tension if he is often funny and joking, and she is always serious and becomes annoyed with his lighter personality.
It is important for a couple to be able to be playful and joke around with each other. It helps lighten the mood, makes extended periods of time together more fun, and laughing together never gets old.
She In a society where commitment seems to be a thing of the past, what qualities do men look for in a women they want to marry?

She is family oriented.
Before I get heat from people who say that not everyone is close to their family and that doesn’t make them a bad person or whatever – that goes without saying. Let’s keep in mind that I speak from my own perspective and to me, a woman who values both her and my family is important when considering a long term future. I’m sure most men who someday want a family of their own would agree with me.

She is kindhearted.
I’m not quite sure how to explain this one. I feel like just the word ‘kindhearted’ in itself gets the point across. is loving and affectionate.
This is more of a bonus point. It may not need to be said, because a few of the points above just direct back to someone being loving in general, anyway. But, I think it’s important to state just the same.
For me, affection is important. Holding hands, hugs, just being physically close together. It symbolizes a connection. It’s a warm, loving feeling, and I would have a hard time building a long-term relationship with a woman who shrugs off your arm when you put it around her or always feels ‘separate’ from me.
Needless to say, every man likely has a different ‘checklist’ for what he is looking for in the woman that he would consider potentially making his wife someday, but my instinct tells me one would be hard-pressed to find a guy who didn’t agree with the points listed here.

OZUBULU MASSACRE: THE HIDDEN TRUTH REVEALED

Following different versions of false news peddled by the Nigerian media and most regrettably, respected individuals, to narrate the very unfortunate incident that happened at St Philips Catholic Church, Amakwa Ozubulu, Biafra Writers, in our culture has dug out the details of this event and how it deteriorated to the August 6 massacre.

Aloysius Ikegwuonu, presently a drug baron in South Africa, was born in 1981 to the family of Chief Ikegwuonu, Amakwa

Ozubulu. He grew up in a very poor home and often helped his mother who trades at Orie Akpu market, Off Ugwu Orie Bus Stop, Amakwa Ozubulu.

'Aloyee' as fondly called by his friends in his early youth stage, first came to limelight in 1999 when he became the senior prefect of Comprehensive Secondary School, C.S.S., (formerly College of Basic Studies, C.B.S.) Egbema Ozubulu; a school founded by Reverend Father Nwabaju Izuchi, a United States based Catholic priest.

Right after his secondary school studies which he finished after his May/June WASSCE examination in the year 2000, he traveled out to South Africa on March 2001 where he became a multi millionaire within his first four (4) months of his stay there. He came back nine (9) months later (December 2001) and splashed his money around. This was the first major drug deal advert in Ozubulu, a land formerly known for the bravery of her indigenes, tranquility and high moral standards. (This seed Aloyee planted did not take time to bear fruits.)

With this, Aloyee attracted many friends to himself especially his school mates at C.S.S.. They indicated interest to serve him and do whatever he wants them to do as long as they will end up as 'successful' as he is and as quick as he made it. There was an exodus of Ozubulu youths to South Africa between the years 2004-2007. With these many people around him, Aloyee who had adopted the name 'Bishop' in South Africa needed someone he could trust better. He went for his best friend in the aforementioned secondary school, Ginika Nwoke.

Ginika, alias Giniyee, hailed from Mbaise in Imo State; he is an orphan and the only child of his parents. He grew up with his uncle, Ite Ego (a butcher at Orie Akpu market, Ugwu Orie Ozubulu) all through his childhood and adolescent age. He gained admission to study Psychology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in the year 2001 and was living at an unpainted two storey building, a lodge for students, about 100 meters from Unizik temporary site junction. Due to pressure from Bishop, he abandoned his university education just after his 200 level. Giniyee's room mate at the University was Nonso Ewulu, alias Ajagara Igwe, who studied Political Science in the same university 2001-2005. Ajagara Igwe was also Giniyee and Bishop's classmate at C.S.S. Ozubulu.

Bishop's notorious act began with his own mother. He allegedly sacrificed his mother (who had rejected his ill wealth) to occult group. This allegation seemed more truthful when he refused to raised a stone at his mother's grave. Bishop leveled his father's home with an interlocking tiles months after his mother's death and till today, you cannot identify his mother's grave in his father's compound.

To douse this rumor, Bishop engaged in an aggressive philanthropic aid. He renovated most churches at Ozubulu (particularly St Michael's Catholic Church, Amakwa Ozubulu) the Igwe's palace and instituted a charity foundation. He also penetrated the state government, donates to the state police and the local vigilante groups.

These events were happening so fast, Bishop was audacious, intimidating and energetic. His friends that traveled to South Africa had started complaining about him: his intimidation and oppression; killings had started; it has become the survival of the fittest, the jungle of beasts. More than six (6) people had died, all from Anambra State in some misunderstanding between Bishop's group of drug cartel and many more groups of drug cartel in South Africa. Even at this stage, no one took any information about Bishop so seriously. Life went on and on and on.

The peak of this crisis was in a clash between Bishop and his best friend, Giniyee. Bishop claimed he handed Giniyee a package (hard drug) to deliver to a buyer buy ended up with some cooked up stories with the intention of duping him. Giniyee denied this, but stated that Bishop's enemy ambushed him at the point of delivery (in what seemed more like a set up) and made away with the package -a package worth hundred of millions of naira.

It got so heated that it was reported to the Igwe of Ozubulu who summoned the two with their families and pleaded for all to exercise patience till the truth be revealed. Bishop rejected Igwe's verdict and swore that "isi ga ada" (meaning that 'head must fall') within some months if his money is not remitted back to him.

Few months later, the stunning news broke out, September 2015, Ginika Nwoke was shot died in the city of South Africa, the only child, an orphan with a wife and a little girl was killed. An Igbo adage says that "ihe mee onye ara, i mara na onwere mmadu" (meaning that when something happens to a mad man, you will know he has people). Mbaise indigenes made it clear that the only thing that will suffice them is a revenge, Bishop must be killed or a total war against Bishop and his kindred.

Situation started to deteriorate; between October 2015 and March 2017, Ozubulu youths were gunned down on monthly basis in South Africa. The owner of Vacarmata (located around Michael Junction, Egbema Ozubulu) Mr Obinna Ebuzeme, Mrs Nchedo (Nkwado's wife) and many others, especially the alumni of C.S.S. have been killed.

Since then, Bishop attends occasions with over 50 security personnels, very intimidating entourage, but Mbaise indigenes had not given up. In this latest event, he came back July 2017, he is still being tracked. Investigations revealed that he was to be gunned down on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at St Philips Catholic Church, Amakwa Ozubulu, a church he built himself, from the foundation to the roof. Mysteriously, he got the news and escaped from Amakwa at mid night (Saturday, August 5, 2017).

The killers invaded his church still assuming he was there, opened fire and killed more than a dozen people. To prove it was targeted and purposed to get at Bishop, Bishop's father ran away the church building with a bullet shot but the killers chased after him and shot him severally to ensure he dies.

OBIANO'S ROLE

Bishop is a very good friend to Willie Obiano, the governor of Anambra State, so we are not surprised that Anambra State forwarded their report in less than two (2) hours. Yes, it's a drug war as they disclosed but we must disclose it here that Obiano has tactically exempted Bishop from the whole story. From intelligence, Anambra state government is about to frame an innocent young lad up (also an Amakwa indigene). We must speak against this and Bishop must face the wrath of the law.

OUR STAND

We should all take responsibility. Rather than caution Bishop and reject his wealth, he was celebrated and most regrettably, by churches and the government.

Just last year, he invited the murderer-in-chief of Anambra State, Willie Obiano (Governor of Anambra State), the Bishop of Nnewi Diocese and other traditional rulers to celebrate his 35th year birthday; all in a bid to cover up for his atrocities.

Having taken responsibility, we also believe that Igwe Ozubulu should have done better. This matter tarried for too long. It does not take a lot to set up a peace committee between Ozubulu and Mbaise. With this recent massacre, the death toll on Bishop's case has risen to over 40 people from 2015 till date.

ADVICE

From report, this notorious Bishop has stepped on many toes. This particular attack might not necessarily had come from Mbaise people. Many groups are chasing after Bishop. Hence, we advice Ozubulu elders to ostracize Bishop indefinitely till this matter is resolved.

Churches, the state government and individuals should dissociate themselves from Bishop to discourage our younger generation from desperation for wealth. Any bill board with his image at Ozubulu and environs should be taken down immediately.

We also entreat Ozubulu and Mbaise elders to set up a reconciliation committee. Ginika Nwoke's family must be approached with all humility, sincerity and respect; not because we believed Ginika's testimony but because we want peace to return to Amakwa Ozubulu for the sake of the innocent ones and Igbo tribe at large.

There is no amount of killings that will bring back the dead, rather, will provoke each other towards more killings. Therefore, any other group that feels aggrieved towards Bishop's action should be directed to Igwe Ozubulu for more and more reconciliations.

CONCLUSION

If you do not believe this piece, if you are more interested in believing that Fulani herdsmen left every other church just to attack Bishop's church, we don't take your imagination out. We advice you go down to Amakwa Ozubulu and spend good time to make more investigations. All humans have to eat food for growth and maintenance of a healthy body, but we humans have different requirements as infants, children (kids), teenagers, young adults, adults, and seniors. For example, infants may require feeding every four hours until they gradually age and begin to take in more solid foods. Eventually they develop into the more normal pattern of eating three times per day as young kids. However, as most parents know, kids, teenagers, and young adults often snack between meals. Snacking is often not limited to these age groups because adults and seniors often do the same.

Tips:

Eat three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner); it is important to remember that dinner does not have to be the largest meal.
The bulk of food consumption should consist of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk products.
Choose lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts (with emphasis on beans and nuts).
Choose foods that are low in saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt (sodium), and added sugars; look at the labels because the first listed items on the labels comprise the highest concentrations of ingredients.
Control portion sizes; eat the smallest portion that can satisfy hunger and then stop eating.
Snacks are OK in moderation and should consist of items like fruit, whole grains, or nuts to satisfy hunger and not cause excessive weight gain.
Avoid sodas and sugar-enhanced drinks because of the excessive calories in the sodas and sugar drinks; diet drinks may not be a good choice as they make some people hungrier and increase food consumption.
Avoid eating a large meal before sleeping to decrease gastroesophageal reflux and weight gain.
If a person is angry or depressed, eating will not solve these situations and may make the underlying problems worse.
Avoid rewarding children with sugary snacks; such a pattern may become a lifelong habit for people.
Avoid heavy meals in the summer months, especially during hot days.
A vegetarian lifestyle has been promoted for a healthy lifestyle and weight loss; vegetarians should check with their physicians to be sure they are getting enough vitamins, minerals, and iron in their food.
Cooking foods (above 165 F) destroys most harmful bacteria and other pathogens; if you choose to eat uncooked foods like fruits or vegetables, they should be thoroughly washed with running treated (safe to drink) tap water right before eating.
Avoid eating raw or undercooked meats of any type.

Tips for special situations:

People with diabetes should use the above tips and monitor their glucose levels as directed; try to keep the daily blood glucose levels as close to normal as possible.
People with unusual work schedules (night shifts, college students, military) should try to adhere to a breakfast, lunch, and dinner routine with minimal snacking.
People who prepare food should avoid using grease or frying foods in grease.
People trying to lose weight (body fat) should avoid all fatty and sugary foods and eat mainly vegetables, fruits, and nuts and markedly reduce his/her intake of meat and dairy products.
Seek medical advice early if you cannot control your weight, food intake, or if you have diabetes and cannot control your blood glucose levels

Learn how physical attraction works. Underlying all the emotion, thoughts, and hopes about love is

our basic biochemistry. We are hard-wired to love! Attraction is based in brain chemistry. A group of neurotransmitters called monoamines (dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin) creates the feeling we experience as attraction.

Dopamine is one of your brain’s “feel-good” chemicals (it’s where the term “dope” comes from). It’s also involved in your brain’s motivation and reward systems. When you meet someone you’re attracted to, dopamine starts sending feel-good chemical “rewards” to your system.

Norepinephrine, sometimes known as noradrenaline (but not the same thing as adrenalin), delivers messages to your central nervous system.Norepinephrine is responsible for your ability to “block out” information that isn’t as interesting as the smart partner in front of you.

Serotonin regulates a lot of functions in your body, including sexual behavior and body temperature. When you are very attracted to someone, serotonin decreases your body temperature, which makes your skin slightly more able to conduct electricity. This is the reason that love can literally make your skin tingle.

In fact, experts say that attraction stimulates the same chemicals in the brain that addiction does, such as dopamine and oxytocin. If a girl isn’t attracted to you, it’s nothing to do with you: it’s all down to the chemicals in each person’s brain.

A researcher at Rutgers University suggests that it takes less than one second for the brain to decide whether it considers someone to be attractive or not.

You may be able to overcome or cope with this split-second first impression, or you may not.

If not, don’t take it personally: people are not able to manage spontaneous impulses and what is judged may not have anything to do negatively with you. For instance, some women are drawn to men which are high risk-takers, some are more attracted to those who seem more cautious. There is nothing wrong with being either.

Understanding how attraction works may seem to take some of the mystery and magic from this human emotion. However, what it does make clear is that love and attraction is a fundamental part of how we are hard-wired. And it is on a level that is not heavily rational. And sometimes the chemistry literally is right or wrong.

Take care of you. Women are generally attracted to men or women who demonstrate that they are able to care for themselves. This includes good grooming, and an overall healthy look. Keeping your body feeling and looking strong and healthy, is a big evolutionary sign of your “reproductive fitness” — basically, a sign that your genes are strong and healthy too.

Keeping yourself well-groomed and healthy suggests self-confidence and a healthy respect for yourself, which most people find attractive.

This does not mean you have to go overboard and become a marathoner or a bodybuilder. You may, however, want to consider join a gym or an ultimate Frisbee team to feel healthy and more confident about yourself, and thus be more attractive. Be the best version of yourself and be true to yourself, and remember that you do not have to be the best looking to be good looking.

Groom yourself for success. Your physical appearance and presence is the biggest first impression. It is also usually the strongest. You can have a great online profile and interaction, but if you finally meet the girl in real life and you reek of body odor and wear unflattering clothing, that will make a stronger impression than any online chat room.

Control odors. Women in most industrialized societies are put off by strong body odors. Someone who does not bathe regularly, does not use antiperspirant, or wears clothes that stink, will be unsuccessful.

Take care of your body. It is entirely possible to find love if one is imperfect: obese, have eczema, balding...whatever. However, doing your best to maximize your appearance will both directly look more attractive and make you feel more confident.

Wear attractive clothing. Every society has a sense of what sort of clothing is attractive, and puts forth social signals of virility, confidence, and masculinity. If your clothing is unattractive, off-putting, or really odd, that sends a signal that there may be something wrong with the wearer.

Consider body language signals. Body language can be either conscious (like winking at someone) or subconscious (like your lips reddening or pupils dilating). People convey a variety of messages through body language, including the language of attraction. Most body language signs relevant to physical attraction communicate a few basic messages:

I am available: Lack of a likely partner, and looks confident and emotionally balanced.

I am interested: When a person says hi, a friendly and possibly flirty conversation strikes up.

I am harmless: There is no aggressive or "strange" behavior.

I am fertile: An overall healthy, youthful, energetic appearance.

I am approachable: Body language appears to be open and relaxed.

Look for open body language. Body language cues that say “I’m available” and “I’m approachable” suggest that the other person is in a state of mind that is receptive to your advances. Look for things such as:

Smiling

Making eye contact with you

Looking up (instead of staying absorbed with a phone, etc.)

Standing or sitting with the arms and legs relaxed and uncrossed

Keeping her feet pointed toward you if you’re having a conversation

Glancing at you from a distance, looking away for a time, then looking at you--not staring.

Look for signs of attraction. Some body language is unconscious and happens when we are attracted to someone. Others are more conscious behaviors. Looking for these cues can help you figure out if your tender feeling for the girl is reciprocal.

Flushed or reddened cheeks

Reddened lips or lips that appear to get plumper

Dilated pupils.

The person moves a “block” from out of your way--such as shifting a bag that had been in between you.

A suddenly racing heart or more rapid breathing

Licking her lips.

Subtly echoing your body language. For instance, if you shift your weight from one side to the other, she does something similar a few moments later.

Momentary touches. For example, light, brief touch on your arm, wrist, or knee.

Remember: none of these behaviors will definitively mean she is attracted to you. While they are good signs, do not jump to conclusions. The girl with rosy cheeks and dilated pupils who moves her purse for you on the bus may just be a courteous and easily flushed girl who just came back from the eye doctor!

Never assume her sexuality. You may come off as rude and ruin chances of befriending her.

Pay attention to the way she is smiling. A genuine smile from a woman may be a signal that she wants to make herself more attractive to you. (It may also just be a sign that she’s friendly, so make sure to check out her other body language cues as well.) Watch to see what facial muscles she uses when she smiles to get a sense of whether it’s real or not.

Genuine smiles, also called duchenne smiles, use the muscles around the eyes as well as the mouth. Fake smiles usually only move the muscles around the mouth, and these smiles may look tight or empty. There’s a reason Tyra Banks is always telling models to “smile with your eyes.”

Signal your own attraction. Once you’ve determined whether you have a shot or not, you can do a few things with your own body language to tell the girl you’re interested in her.

Make eye contact with her and smile.

Get a little closer to her. Maybe move to a closer table in the coffee shop, or go grab a napkin while she is at the condiment station. This can help her pick up on your pheromones, which help signal attraction.

Tilt your head if you are talking to her or looking at her. Head-tilting is a sign of interest.

Try an opening gambit. Also known as a “pickup line,” an opening gambit is how you initiate a conversation. Despite the general creepiness of the pickup artist community, you don’t have to be a 'creepster' to use an opening gambit. Studies suggest that there are three types:

The direct opener. These are honest and get straight to the point, like “I think you’re really cute” or “I’m kind of shy, but I’d love to chat with you.” In general, men tend to prefer to receive these openers when others initiate conversations with them.

The innocuous opener. These get a conversation going but don’t go straight for a target, like “What do you think of this place?” or “Do you come here often?” In general, women tend to prefer these openers when others initiate conversations with them.

The cute/flippant opener. These involve humor, but are often cheesy or even nasty, such as “Do you like your eggs scrambled or fertilized?” Sometimes these work to "break the ice" but you also risk coming off as sleazy, desperate, or weird. Both men and women in general rank these as the least attractive option.

How to Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle

Being healthy should be part of your overall lifestyle, not just a New Year’s resolution. Living a healthy lifestyle can help prevent chronic diseases and long-term illnesses. Feeling good about yourself and taking care of your health are important for your self-esteem and self-image. Maintain a healthy lifestyle by doing what is right for your body.

STEP 1

Maintain a healthy weight. Determine whether you are overweight by checking your body mass index. If you are overweight, it can lead to a higher risk of chronic disease such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stroke and certain cancers.
STEP 2

Stick with healthy food from each food group. This means staying away from food high in saturated fats, sodium and added sugars. Eat more whole grains, lean proteins such as chicken or legumes and beans, low-fat or non-fat dairy, and increase your fruits and vegetables.

STEP 3

Visit your doctor for an annual physical exam. Depending on your age, certain lab tests and screenings, such as mammograms, colonoscopies and heart tests, are necessary. Stay up to date on your health screenings to identify whether there are medical problems to address.

STEP 4

Make sure your relationships are positive and healthy ones. Surround yourself with people who support you and who you feel good around. Your partner in life, friends and others who are in your life should respect you. If you find yourself in an unhealthy relationship, take steps to improve it or move on.
STEP 5

Engage in physical activity for at least 30 minutes every day. Take an exercise class, join the gym or just take a brisk walk outside. Making the time for physical activity is a necessity and not a luxury.
STEP 6

Know when and how to de-stress. Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. Make sure that you have positive ways of dealing with stressors in your life. This might be exercising, meditating, yoga or just doing deep-breathing exercises. If stress becomes so severe that it is interfering with your sleep or ability to cope, talk to your doctor or a counselor.
STEP 7

Do not smoke. Smoking can cause preventable diseases such as lung cancer and other cancers. Stay away from secondhand smoke, since this can also be hazardous to your health.
