Please be very aware that the collection of general books has shifted tremendously over the Summer session. The most affected are the 700s, 800s, and 900s. Some 900s are now shelved on the 3rd floor. We now have 3 special copies of the Fall 2011 Schedule of Classes at the Circulation Desk. These are Library-Use-Only and must be used at the desk unless the patron checks it out with a Student ID (1 hour). These copies are not for sale at the bookstore, so we must remember to remind patrons that the online version is available.

I've replaced the big, black, falling apart plastic boxes for the dry-erase markers. They now look like this: In each box is: 1 green marker 1 blue marker 1 black marker 1 eraser 1 small bottle of cleaner Please be sure that all contents are returned when the students bring back the box.

Bookdrop AND Audio-Visual Drop!! Our new drop is located just West of Bonnie Avenue at the student drop-off. It has drops for both books and audiovisual materials, though telecourse and reserve items should still be brought to the front desk.

Thanks to Dan, we can now see the daily calculations of late fees once a book is overdue without having to wait for it to be returned.  This will appears as “Accrued Fine” under a patron account in “Patron Fines/Fees” (the $ sign).  Every day the amount will increase until the book is returned (not including days the Library is closed). There is now a Flip MinoHD Video Camera available for a 3-day check out at the Circ Desk. The camera is checked out with a tripod. It can only be borrowed by current PCC students, faculty, and staff and cannot be renewed. Overdue fines for the item are $1.00 per hour.
