OutOfMemory Error during Solr index rebuilding

Sometimes we face OutOfMemory Error while rebuilding indexes for Sitecore. The heap size of Solr default is 512 MB. We can change this value by specifying the size in "solr.cmd" file.
You can find "solr.cmd" file inside the bin folder.

SitecoreRootCert do not found warning

SIF constantly throwing me below error while installing Sitecore Commerce 9.0.2.

According to warning, SitecoreRootCert is not available in cert:\LocalMachine\Root.
Open Manage Computer certificates and check SitecoreRootCert is available or not.

I checked and it was not available in that location. what I did just moved SitecoreRootCert to this location and error gone (missing SitecoreRootCert).

Switching SitecoreInstallFramewrok Versions

If We have installed multiple versions of SitecoreInstallFramework and we want to specific one for particular session.

We can force PowerShell session to use the specific SitecoreInstallFramework version.

Remove-Module -Name SitecoreInstallFramework
Import-Module -Name SitecoreInstallFramework -RequiredVersion 1.2.1

Now in current session SitecoreInstallFramework 1.2.1 will be in use.

How to delete thumbprint

Sometimes we face already exist thumbprint exception during Sitecore installation.

We can delete thumbprint using below command.

Execute below command on PowerShell window.
Get-ChildItem Cert:\LocalMachine\Root\<Thumbrpint> | Remove-Item

Disable AntiForgeryEnabled option to run Commerce API Calls

To execute Commerce API through Postman, we need to disable "AntiForgeryEnabled" in Config.json.

You can get this file on path CommerceAuthoring_InstanceName > wwwroot.

This option should always be enabled in the Production environment.

Disable SSL Certificate Verification in Postman

SSL certificate verification option prevents the postman from checking the validity of SSL certificates while making a request.
We can disable this option from File > Settings in Postman app.
Just make it off "SSL certificate verification" in Settings > General section.

Recently I was stuck in one issue where my website interaction & contact data was not reflecting in MongoDB. There are few points where you can do the fix for this.

1. Check you have added "<sc:VisitorIdentification ID="VisitorIdentification1" runat="server" />" this control or not on your layout.

2. In Sitecore.Analytics.Tracking.config file add your host name in value section.
