V On ABC: Statue Of Jesus Falls And Shatters When The Aliens Arrive

If you are watching the premiere episode of "V" on ABC tonight, there is one key moment of symbolism that you will want to watch for. You can see it in the short video preview of V that is posted below. When the aliens make their appearance, there is a shot inside of a church where a statue of Jesus topples over and shatters on the church floor.

What does that scene mean?

It is meant to convey that when "they" arrive, the Christian faith will be shown to be a fraud and will be shattered forever.

But would that be true?

If aliens came to earth and made open contact with humanity, would that dramatically alter your worldview?

Would your view about religion instantly change?

For many Americans it probably would radically change the way that they view reality.

One poll found that about 60 percent of Americans believe that extraterrestrial life exists on other planets. Of those who believe extraterrestrial life exists, most agreed that they would be "excited and hopeful" upon learning of the confirmation of extraterrestrial life. That sounds like many of the people in V who are overwhelmed with excitement when the Visitors arrive.

But would contact dramatically change how Americans view religion?

Another recent survey had Americans respond to this statement: "Official confirmation of the discovery of a civilization of intelligent beings living on another planet would so undercut my beliefs that my beliefs would face a crisis."

Over 80% of "religious Americans" responded to that statement with "Disagree" or "Strongly Disagree".

But what if the aliens said that they had seeded this planet with life and had watched over our evolution?

What if the aliens claimed that they started all the religions on earth but that those religions had become corrupted?

What if the aliens said that they were here to help bring peace to the earth and guide us in the next step of our spiritual evolution?

Would disclosures such as those rock the world of religious believers?

Does all of this sound like a bunch of nonsense?

Perhaps we should take all of this a bit more seriously.

In fact, many of those who claim to "channel" aliens are already receiving similar messages to those above.

Amazing Video: A Baby Gets Run Over By A Subway Train And Yet Survives

What did we all do before YouTube? There are some videos we may have never gotten to see without the Internet. The video posted below is one example of that. This video from the U.K. shows a baby stroller falling off the platform into the path of a speeding subway train. Amazingly, the baby survived without major injury. This just shows the importance of watching your kid every single moment. Thankfully the baby survived this ordeal or this video would be too horrible to share. It is simply mindblowing that the poor child was able to survive getting run over by a subway train like this.....

The first doses of the H1N1 swine flu vaccine are arriving at clinics and hospitals across the United States, and large numbers of Americans are eagerly lining up to take the vaccine. However, what most Americans do not realize is that these early batches of the H1N1 swine flu vaccine are all of the nasal spray variety that contain live swine flu. So, when you take the H1N1 FluMist vaccine, you are letting them spray live swine flu right up your nose.

If you are trying to avoid the swine flu do you really think that it is a good idea to have live swine flu injected up your nose?

But the much more frightening thing is that millions of Americans will have live swine flu injected into their nasal passages over the coming weeks, and they will instantly become carriers of the deadly disease. Whenever they sneeze or whenever they exhale they risk spreading the swine flu to others.

The reality is that anyone who takes the FluMist vaccine can spread the disease for up to 21 days.

In case you doubt this, just read FluMist’s own package insert: "FluMist® recipients should avoid close contact with immunocompromised individuals for at least 21 days."

So will the live swine flu in the FluMist nasal spray vaccine cause a massive outbreak of the swine flu in the weeks ahead? Only time will tell.

But let's hope not. Let's hope that the swine flu doesn't hit the world like a sledgehammer in the coming months.

But one thing is certain.

Even The History Channel Is Talking About Chemtrails

Can anyone still deny the existence of chemtrails when even the History Channel is talking about them? While once they were considered to be the imagination of "loony conspiracy theorists", the reality is that chemtrails are being increasingly acknowledged in the mainstream media.

In the History Channel piece posted below, there is even speculation that chemtrails are connected to weather modification and HAARP. Ultimately the History Channel piece does not claim to have any definitive answers about what these things are (and neither do we), but the fact that they are devoting national television time to chemtrails is very surprising.

But honestly, how can anyone deny that chemtrailing is happening? After all, what are we supposed to think when we look up into the sky and see long, white streaks that stay up there for hours upon hours? That simply does NOT happen with normal contrails. Are We Living In The Last Days?

Are we living during the times that the Scriptures refer to as "the last days"? The truth is that is what most serious Christian scholars believe. Movie Review Of G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra

Would you like my review of G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra?

I will give it to you in two words.....

Absolutely awesome!

This was the best movie that I have seen this year.

Seriously.

Now, before I went to see the movie last night, I noticed that the reviews for the film kind of fell into two categories.

Number one, people who actually followed G.I. Joe or people who actually like action films loved it.

Number two, movie critics who want every movie to be another "Atonement" mostly hated it.

So I went and watched the movie myself.

And I absolutely loved it.

What I appreciated the most is that it stayed true to so much of the G.I. Joe mythology from the 1980s.

Instead of trying to "reinvent" the franchise as so many other remakes of established properties have done (such as the "new Battlestar Galactica" abomination), this film respected the 1980s version of G.I. Joe and took it seriously.

And that is what I was truly hoping for. A movie that really took G.I. Joe seriously.

But not only that, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was much better than I was anticipating.

The action scenes were absolutely jaw dropping and the story moved along at a brisk pace. The writers squeezed a huge amount into two hours that seemed to fly by all too quickly. There was tons of eye candy and almost constant fight scenes, but there was also enough of a story that even my wife loved the film (and she is not an action film fan at all).

Some of the noteworthy performances in the film include the following.....

Sienna Miller truly stole every scene that she was in. This has got to be the best performance I have ever seen her give. As the Baroness, she was a stylish, yet convincing villain.

Channing Tatum was also outstanding as the lead G.I. Joe character Duke. I even appreciated that the producers put a scar on his cheek as a reference to the original G.I. Joe action figures from the 1960s which always had a scar on their cheeks. A solid performance by Tatum in the film definitely.

Byung-hun Lee was quite captivating as Storm Shadow. Hopefully we will see more of him in future films.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje was impressive in a supporting role as Heavy Duty. Perhaps he will get an even bigger role in the next film.

Rachel Nichols as Scarlett was good, but she got a bit overemotional in the second half of the film. Although that could be considered a slight flaw in the writing.

When I heard that Marlon Wayans was going to portray Ripcord in the movie, I honestly thought that it would be a complete disaster. But, he was not bad.

Some of the other acting was hit and miss, but with Sienna Miller and Channing Tatum delivering such powerhouse performances, and with the interweaving story lines and amazing action scenes providing constant thrills, there is no way that you cannot call the G.I. Joe movie a smashing success.

After so many other disappointments at the movies this summer, it was great to go see a film that radically surpassed all expectations.

As a fan of G.I. Joe from the 1980s, I heartily endorse this film. Everyone should go and see it. Personally, I can't wait for a sequel. Not only has this film breathed new life into G.I. Joe, but it has set a new bar for the action film genre.

Go see G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, and go see it now. It is an extraordinary film by any measure, and it is certainly the BEST movie that you will see this summer.

African Pygmies Are Being Eaten Out Of Existence

The indigenous pygmies of the Democratic Republic of the Congo are literally being eaten out of existence. Anti-government rebel groups that hide in the jungle, particularly the Movement for the Liberation of Congo, consider the pygmies to be just animals and they hunt them for food.

Cannibalism is alive and well in 2009.

Seriously.

You see, there is a virulent form of racism against pygmies throughout much of Africa. Many Africans consider the pygmies to be directly related to monkeys, and most of the time they are treated little better than animals. In some areas of Africa, pygmies are actually openly owned as slaves.

In Congo in particular the pygmies are systematically being wiped out. They are caught in the middle of a brutal civil war, and apparently both sides in the conflict consider them to be "subhuman" and as noted above, the anti-government rebels regularly eat them.

Others actually believe that their flesh can confer magical powers, and so they are sometimes killed for that reason as well.

Due to all of the mistreatment and cannibalism, many tribes of pygmies have completely gone out of existence, and others are threatened with total extinction.

Michael Jackson Is Dead!

Michael Jackson is dead.

We repeat: Michael Jackson, the King Of Pop, is dead at age 50 according to reports on TMZ, The Los Angeles Times and CNN.

Jackson reportedly suffered cardiac arrest and collapsed at his home in west Los Angeles Thursday morning.

According to TMZ, when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they were never able to get a pulse back.

TMZ is also reporting that Jackson was already dead when paramedics arrived. Once paramedics got Jackson to UCLA Medical Center, hospital staff tried to resuscitate him but they were unable to.

At UCLA Medical Center, every entrance to the emergency room was completely blocked by security guards. Even hospital staff were not permitted to enter the area where Michael Jackson was lying. A few people reportedly stood inside the waiting area, some of them crying.

Michael Jackson is survived by his three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

Michael Jackson's fans around the world will miss him deeply.

This is certainly a reminder to all of us that this life is not going to last forever.

We spend so much time chasing so many foolish things, but perhaps a time like this will remind us all of what is really important in life.

They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offenses, for I will save them from all their sinful backsliding, and I will cleanse them. So has this happened yet?

Of course not.

So that means that this amazing prophecy is still yet to be fulfilled.

Either it will happen or God is a liar - and we all know that God is not a liar.

Ephraim and Judah will be reunited once again.
