The zombies are at your door. You have to defend yourself and it starts NOW. What will you grab? Do you have a shotgun handy? How is your store of ammunition? I seriously doubt that you’ll be able to stroll down to your local GunMart and purchase ammo when the undead are raining terror and death across your city/town. Unless you have a nearly unlimited supply of shells, a shotgun might not be the very best solution.

So maybe you’ll reach for something else. Perhaps a baseball bat. Great in theory but in practice, maybe no so much. A few good whacks on some thick skull and you’re liable to be standing amongst the horde with nothing but a pile of toothpicks. And somehow I don’t think zombies are really too concerned about the bits of you that they have stuck between their front teeth…

You could always grab the butcher knife but unless you’ve recently honed that thing to a razor edge, sawing and hacking at the neck of a zombie bent on enjoying you for their afternoon repase might not get you the desired results. It will satisfy the zombie, but that’s not what this is about.

Something bad has happened in the garden. The once happy garden gnomes have been infected by a strange virus which has turned them into flesh eating monsters. There are only a few survivors left who are desperately trying to stay alive.

Oh. Yes.

My intrepid brother-in-law turned me on to these most awesome and supremely fabulous hand-painted bowling balls. Never mind that I don’t actually bowl. That’s just a minor detail that is neither here nor there. The only valid point is that these. are. awesome.

I want one. No.. I want them all. An entire family of zombies to be proudly displayed at the foot of my bed on my long dresser. Staring at me night after night with their fixed, dead stares. I’m getting joyous chills just considering this prospect.

I could terrify children everywhere. I would carry one with me wherever I went. Grasped firmly in hand and I stride purposefully through shopping malls and the local Chucke E. Cheese. Because let’s be honest, if there ever was a perfect place to let loose terrifying zombie head bowling balls, it’s in that hell on earth. And people thought the Zombie Apocalypse would be bad.

But I digress. These balls make me WANT to take up bowling. Just so I can see the look of horror and shock on the faces of those around me.

Walking Dead inspired Messenger Bag

StrangelandOutfitter on etsy is home to many strange and curious items. In addition to the bag above, they have several other Walking Dead and Zombie inspired bags and products.

Basically, things that every self-respecting zombie warrior and actual zombie need to complete their oh so groovy ensemble. While the items above were definitely worth mentioning and have landed on my wish-list, the real winner in this shop is the bag at the top. That one is on my MUST BUY list. I can already see the reaction I’ll get from my family and the fellow nerds in the coffee shop when I walk in with this killer little number hanging from my shoulder.

Nothing like letting folks know right off the bat that you mean business and that you’re prepared to do battle. The bloody handprint on the bag speaks for itself. Touch it… and well, you get the idea.

My black MacBook has indicated that traveling in this bag is agreeable. Now to find the funds to make it my very own!
