Built by bill (75) it is entirely bespoke and the focal point of our garden. it is built on decking supported by poles on a steep bank. It houses a fridge, tv, sofa/bed, tools storage, and is compact, but is a little extention of our house. Visitors, especially our grandchildren, love our small magical garden and its shed. It was bills last big project befor illness made it too difficult to start anything new, but he still gets out gardening and is always adding more finishing touches. we know its too late to enter the comp, but would love to share it with more people as we love our shed, and its great to see passion in other people too! thanks ann and bill.

I wanted place to store my summer tools, and I've always wanted my own Hobbit Hole. Tada! It's just big enough for my mower and tools with shelves and hangers inside, but I like the illusion of a cozy little house. How did we build it? My boyfriend Paul made this shed and I just think it's beautiful! It isn't very big but it has a strong presence - understated yet beautifully made. It was inspired by the apple crates that fill the orchards at picking time, see pic. It has two windows - one is openable and looks out over the apple trees beyond the garden. Sadly I don't think the bicycles appreciate this particular feature..

At least 80% of this fabulous creation was salvaged and recycled from two old sheds and a summer house, also stuff from local freecycle ads. It utilises natural light as the roof is a salvaged conservatory roof. As the family has grown and we needed more space I found my obsession with drumming has been squeezed out of the house, so I decided to build myself a drum studio in the garden (as far away from the neighbours as possible). It's divided up so the drumkit has it's own secure little sound-damped room and the rest of it's the workshop - and I've got a telly!.

The Buffalo Lounge owned by Cristian McDermott

The Buffalo lounge is hidden discretly at the bottom of my garden (just like the poddington peas). It consists of a pub pool table, darts board, fully stocked bar ( incl beer on tap!) The outside is fully decked and has a table chairs aswell as a BBQ just in case the sun ever puts his hat on!. It's decorated with all my favourite stuff such as my Marathon shirt and signed footie shirt plus various bits and bobs stolen on nights of drunken debauchery. Point of note, left handed drinking only and no girls allowed, well apart from Sheryly Cole and Sarah Beany that is. Come down and see for yourself, Many thanks, Cristian McDermott ( Grand buffalo ).
