August 24,2021 was the saddest day of our lives - the Sedoripas.....😪😥💔

Papa's younger brother died due to Covid - 19. It was so painful that he died that way and much more painful when we cannot pay our last respect to him. He needs to be buried right away 😭😭😭

We cannot contain our emotions because we never anticipated this kind of event. My heart is devastated seeing my Tiya and her children suffered. Their Family was so close knit. As in, I see them together and happy. They lived a simple life and their happiness is just based on little things and most importantly, being together. And now, this things happen... It will never be the same again.

I could recall, how we lost our Mom 20 years ago due to a lung disease. Because of her passing, We never celebrated Christmas on that same year and so with our Annual Fiesta the following year. Day by day, how I wished my Mom is still alive and be with us. But, that could never happen. Her memories will live forever.

This pandemic is no joke, it hit people left and right. Our weapons are vaccination, follow safety protocols and most importantly, our Faith in God. Prayer works, God is our salvation.

I am hoping and praying that this too will pass and no more covid variants will arise. Together, let us all pray that everything will be fine and alright and go back to normal. Let us heal as one ♥

Lake Danao - Ormoc

Ormoc City's pride - Lake Danao ♥♥♥

Lake Danao is a guitar-shaped lake on the island of Leyte in the Philippines. The lake is covering an area of 148 hectares. It is situated in the 2,193 hectares Lake Danao Natural Park, which also includes the Amandiwin mountain range.taken from Wikipedia

The lake is situated maybe around 19kms away from the city and when I was younger, our elders won't allow us to visit or swim there because of an urban legend that the lake was very deep and no one can ever measure it. also there was a big fish in the lake, as big as a Jeepney daw 😊

I was residing more or less 10kms from the lake. the transportation before was very difficult and the road was so rough. It is good now that the road is concrete as in it is so accessible and easy to go there.

Ormocanons and visitors can now enjoy Lake Danao with its floating cottages. But since it is pandemic, most of the time, the lake is close for security purposes.

Pictures shown were taken just this year when it was re opened. Our Family loves going there because of the very cold weather perfect for relaxation and bonding.

Hi Everyone!

It's been a while:) well, it was so long since I posted here.

I really have so many things to blog when I am not here and now that I am here, my mind is empty :) and I really don't know where to start.

well anyway, Vlogging is the new trend, but I kept my blog. I don't have yet the courage to create one and I prefer to write even if I am not really good at it :) and also, I don't have a content yet.

When I started blogging, I just wanted to write something even if I know it doesn't interest anyone :) I only have few followers and to be honest, I am so scared and ashamed because writing is not my forte and it needs to have guts and talent to be here.

I just wanted everyone to know and wish all of us well in this current crisis that we are facing. Keep safe and we can get through this with prayers and faith.....

STI Ormoc ~ Cebu Invasion 2016

Last January 11-13,2016, STI College Ormoc 3rd year BSIT students had their NYC ( National Youth COnvention ) and Company visit at the QUeen City of the South, Cebu City. It was a great experienced among the BSIT Students since they were able to visit big IT companies such as Accenture, Kyocera and Lexmark plus sidetrips on the big malls of Cebu as well as seen land marks and the prestigious school University of San Carlos which by the way is my alma mater :).

Life is indeed a constant change……. I've been through a lot but it is my choice, no one influenced me. I made my own decision but a long the way I am always hurt…. Many times my hubby cheated on me but being a wife, I accepted him always for I don’t know really the reason. Maybe it is because I am scared to lose me, or is it because I love him or maybe I just wanted to show the third party that “hey I am the wife, he is mine”. These maybe my reasons but I cannot figure out which is which or maybe all of the above. The last time we fight, I realized how stupid I am to stick with the person who never cared me at all. Love is no longer there so maybe I should move on and be strong enough not to accept him this time. I change my ways, before, I run after him but now I swear to use my head instead of my heart. And I think I am on the right track. I too learned to tame my mouth and emotions this time because the more I talk and explain the more I comprehend my wanting for him. Stupidity is really in me but I must learn to let go of it. I know somehow, somewhere there is someone waiting for me or maybe he is just there watching me everyday. But my top priority now is my self and my son. I must reconstruct my life and live with it. I've been hurt many times by this person and yet he never showed any changes. It keeps on getting worsen each day. I don’t deserve this, I deserve better. He is not the end of my world. Reality bites but I don’t wanna prolong my agony. People laugh at me many times but I didn’t care coz what I believe is what I do. But this time, I must learn to include in my decisions what other people might say about me. I don’t wanna be blinded anymore. Enough is enough… God is my shelter and protector. Everyday I prayed to keep me away from him. I prayed too, to stick with my decisions and do what I believe in. I know no one can ever help me with my dilemma except the one up there. This I say is the biggest challenge in my life…………….

Changes in my Life!

It's been four months now since I leveled - up and my life is never been the same again...

New challenges which I enjoyed to the fullest and grateful to those people who made these things happened to me.

It made me smiles, as I recall and assessed how I am being in this new position. I feel intimated to my superiors and it makes me shiver everytime I have business with them. Our school is implementing SEP ( Speak English Policy )but when I spoke to them my tongue are tied and I cannot collect my thoughts correctly :)

Though I received good comments from our students and colleagues but I know I still have so many things to improve and change. I want to share what I have and unleash my potentials and capabilities to the highest level.

I admire our Administrator, Ms. Maricel Ngo. First of all, because of her articulateness, I feel everytime she speaks, she can get the attention of the audience. Second, for being tactful and for me that is her strongest asset. I respect her so much and I do not want to fail her expectations towards me.

I also admire, the Lucero's ( owner of STI - Ormoc ) for being simple and open minded. They are always ready and open for new ideas and very supportive.

But in every good things comes obstacles and predicaments which I anticipated.I wish everything would be fine and alright under my term as an Academic Head.I know there is no such thing as " perfect environment" but I am hopeful that whatever difficulty I am facing or we are facing it will dilapidated soon and all of us will wear our smiles to each other with no bitterness.

Thank God, we are still normal!

Hanginan!

Me with my family and in - laws decided to have a holy week adventure.So we went to "Hanginan" in Southern Leyte last April 22, 2011. It is where the shrine of St. Francisco Javier is located. Many town folks said that going to this place with your wishes,will come true. It is actually a very challenging exploration because the terrain going there is very difficult. Just imagine you are about to climb Mt. Everest in going there. The Shrine is situated at the top of the mountain and the only medium that can be use is your own feet. As I scrambled, I realized that maybe God will forgive me with all the sins I had and have done because it is really a sacrifice in going there. We started walking / climbing at around 3am and we reached the chapel / shrine after three hours.Going up is very tiring but going down is much painful because my feet were already starting to shake plus you have to exert force in going down. But as I look my 10 yr old son, he was very okay and he never felt tired or anything. Ang sarap talaga maging bata and that's what i remembered with my mom before.She always said that being young , you will never feel tired or exhausted and that's true enough.
As I pondered if I will still be doing this again next year, at first I was hesitant because until now my feet is still hurt but as I look at it, it feels good that I was able to see the goodness of life. It is not about your desire to climb but more on the sacrifice in going there. It is where you can see the true meaning of the Lenten season where Jesus Christ died on the cross for us..

A New Challege!

I was called at our Administrator's office a month ago. She informed me that our Dean / Academic Head is resigning and I am the one next to the vacant position. I was really toughed - tied and I was just smiling the whole time. Well, I am not anticipating that this new challenges in my life will come too soon because before when our Dean applied for an immigrant in Canada, she was very vocal to me that she will recommend me as her replacement. Honestly and sincerely, I am hesitant to accept this big task given to me for the reasons that I just wanted to be living in a simple life with no big responsibilities and decisions to make. But Our Admin told me that in life we must accept new challenges and opportunities. And Yes, opportunity knocks only once so here I am grabbing it and this is also my way of giving it back to STI who is so very good to me for the past six to seven years that I am in.
I know things will be different now because I am handling administrative tasks which is so new to me. But I know these people behind me will support me all the way and of course with Gods presence and guidance, i know everything will be doing well.

Wow...I thought marriage is made from heaven and all is well once you are in it but i was wrong so wrong. Ten years of marriage and everything is not doing well. I actually trying my best to put it in normal phase but it seems that time and situations wont contemplate. Crying is the only thing i can do. I don't want to talk about it with friends and family coz i am anticipating their reactions. The way I see it now, it is hopeless. I cant fight it anymore because it is like dancing "tango", it doesnt make sense if only one will be dancing and the other one is not.I mean, the situation is getting worst now when in fact we are already in our 10th year. I really don't know how to fix this mess. I prayed alot but maybe the solution of this delimma is to put an end of this never ending quarrels.
It is time to say goodbye but how can i comprehend it? millions of times, i said "no" when in fact i didnt mean it. It is killing me softly now and I dont like it. God, please give me a worry - free heart and mind, Help me see things on the brighter side. Do not lead me to temptations to create things which is not appropriate.I left it up to you lord!

Tough facts about Ormoc:

1.) The city's name is derived from ogmok, an old Visayan term for lowland or depressed plain. It is the first non-provincial city of the Philippines. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 177,524 people. Ormoc is the economic, cultural, commercial and transportation hub of western Leyte.Ormoc City is an independent component city, not subject to regulation from the Provincial Government of Leyte. 2.) Ormoc Flashflood

It was in November 5, 1991 that the killer flood killed more than eight thousand ( 8000 ) Ormocanons. Almost the entire city was being vanished by the phenomenon.But after 19 years the city is rebuilt and reshape with new infrastructure, malls and institutions.

3.)Lake Danao

Lake Danao is a guitar-shaped lake covering an area of 148 hectares in the island of Leyte, Philippines. It is a nice and perfect gateways of those tourists or locals who wants to enjoy nature and fresh water. Floating cottage and boat are available with reasonable prices.

4.) The New Ormoc City Hall

Ormoc's latest pride. The newly built City Hall with great amenities and big offices. It is located at Cogon Ormoc City. It is near in LTO and Ormoc Post Office.

5.) Lucy Torres - GOmez

The newly - elected Congresswoman of the fourth district of leyte. Lucy is well - loved by most Ormocanons because of her attitude and their families reputation.
She was in third year high school and I was in first year when I happened to see her because we both studied in SPC ( St. Peter's College ) of Ormoc. Even then she was a head turner because of her very beautiful face and super fair complexion which she was so different among us. Actually it was her and her sister Karen that were so popular in the campus because they both possessed beauties and brains.
Ormoc is so proud of Lucy because of her achievements as a TV personality and now as a politician though we are still awaiting for her plans and actions for the city and the fourth district of leyte.

Major, major and thank you thank you are now becoming an instant hit all over the Internet.

During the Miss Universe question & answer portion, Venus Raj ( Ms. Philippines) was asked by American actor William Baldwin about the biggest mistake that she made in her life & what she did to make it right...and this is her answer:

"You know what, sir, in my 22 yrs of existence, I can say that there's nothing major major problem that I've done in my life because I'm very confident with my family, with the love that they are giving to me. So thank you so much that I'm here. Thank you, thank you so much."

I wasn't able to watch the live telecast because I had classes last Tuesday morning but my colleague updates me about the status of Ms.Venus Raj. I was so blissful when I heard that she made it to the top 15 then on the magic 10. But I was a bit disappointed when I learned that Venus Raj made it to the final 5 but was only in the fourth place and she wasn't able to answer the question very well. She is almost there but nonetheless we still be proud of her because after all she made it to the Magic 5.

She is indeed very gorgeous and most us were saying she is the 3rd Ms.Universe from the Philippines. A lot of negative feedbacks surrounds the Internet but I must say she represents our country to the best of her ability and I am still proud of her.

Its been two months now that my classmates and batch mates in high school are holding a weekend get-together for the preparation of our grand reunion which will happen this September. It was my first time last weekend to attend.Twas fun but I had to leave early because the next day I had my Masteral final defense.
As I looked back my high school days, I don't have much to say because I never enjoyed it not as much as I loved my college life, for the fact that I was so KJ as in Kill - Joy, though I had lots of friends and just like me they were also KJs.I was a typical high school student and my only joy was roaming around the city and buying some stuff like foods and cutey accessories with my friends during lunch breaks. Other than that like going out every weekend, going to the beach or having a drinking session was never my agenda.Two of my close friends Iris and Joy said during our get together that they were regretful of not having any escapades during our high school days. As I remembered, everytime there was a school activities, i usually went home.High school days are supposed to be exciting and fun but I never had it. I will catch those missing moments as we are going to bond this September for our 1st grand reunion after 17 years. And I am sure, one day is not enough of recollecting our stories together.

I am super excited to see my old friends and classmates during this event. So, to all my co - SPCians batch '93 we will see each other this September and kindly bring your own story to tell. Goodluck to us and Ciao..................

Water!

I am sure most of us can relate to my sentiments about "WATER".

Its been three m0nths now that i am bursting with anger, antagonism and frustration regarding the water supply in our place.
Water is a basic necessity and I don't know why our supplier cannot understand these feelings or maybe they are just ignoring us.
Our water supplier is "seven stars", the name derived from the seven barangays that they are supplying. This water sources was donated by foreigners who had a special mission here in Ormoc. When I was younger, we really enjoyed the water they provided us but after 15 years,the services deteriorated. They said, it is because the water level is not anymore enough to supply their consumers. And even advised us to pray for the rainy season to come.But hey, rains pours everyday and the supply has not gotten back to its normal condition.
I have lots of concern regarding this matter, and these are:
1.) They ( 7 stars ) should provide us proper dissemination of information regarding the status of our water supply.
2.) Barangay officials in our place should act on these because this is a serious issue that need their full attention and action.
3.) Seven ( 7 ) Stars should come up with a solution because people in our place are so annoyed and this might lead to a big catastrophic hitch.
I even tweeted Richard Gomez via Twitter since Lucy is our new Congressman to help us in our problem regarding this matter. But up to now I did not received any message from them.
I am really hopeless, sometimes I am thinking of calling HotFm to air our grievances so that people involved will do something about it. If you made it public, maybe they'll act on it.
I am so disturb with this dilemma since I am a working mom. I am suppose to rest in the evening because for the entire day I was working but what happened now is I have to sleep at 9pm then wake up at 3am for that damn f**k water.
I tried calling their attention like I went to our barangay officials session and asked them to help us regarding this issue but until this day we did not received any action. I really don't know what to do now.I am hopeless, exhausted and grrrrrrrrrrrrrr..............................................????????????

My Dilemma...is it really mine???

Question:" Is it our responsibility to take care of our elders as they grow old?" I received a very demanding text message from the wife of my Uncle two days ago, asking me to finance his hospitalization. I read it over and over again coz i might read it the wrong way but the message is very clear. I wanted to help the best way i could but not to the extent that I am obligated. We were raised by my parents to live independently so that we can stand in our own. she was so mean as if I am really responsible for it. My "Tiyo Manoy" as we fondly calls him is the older brother of my Mother. Whenever he went home here in Ormoc, he stayed at our house even before my mom was still alive. He got married when he was 52, the same year that i was married too. He saw his lady love when he was in Cebu at my Aunts place. Among the nieces and nephews I am the oldest that's why i am the most responsible ( as she thought ). But I have also responsibilities and needs to attend to. If they wanted support, i extend some aid. I guess his wife cannot asked helped with his siblings because just recently my two aunties were hospitalized because of high - blood pressures and these are all in serious conditions. My Tiyo Moloy is diagnosed with "diabetes" and he has to take medicines everyday plus the fact that he got a big family to take care of. On my part, I am in the state of financial crisis and I am taking it slowly so that i wont feel depressed or stressed. My only sister, who is in Cebu right now needs my help badly but I cannot extend my helping hand even if I wanted to. I would like to stress out that, I will help as much as I can but don't demand me of something that I am not capable of doing and that i am not responsible also. Maybe at this moment, the wife of my uncle is angry with me and the entire family because she might feel helpless but i hope she understand that it is a big tasks. In time that i am already capable of helping them, of course I will and I would.

Election 2010

I was not able to post the lists of candidates for the local position in our city, Ormoc.And i don't have also the intention of posting the winners since at this moment I do not know who are the winners except for the Congressman and Mayor.I was so busy dealing with a lot of things and that includes,my Masteral,non - teaching and teaching duties here in STI. But.........
I would like to write about the experienced i had during the election day.Because I am sure each one of us has its own story to tell.
I went to my precinct at exactly 7am for the reason that i wanted to vote early but when i went to the area, there was already a huge number of people waiting to vote.I did not know what were the system, I mean the process should be taken for this new automated election but thank to my neighbors who taught me what to do.I wrote my name on the small piece of paper together with the precinct number then I submitted it to the person in charge. But it took me almost three hours to vote since the PCOS machine's back up memory card was defective. The Smartmatic technician who happens to be my student was confused on what to do because the people including the BEI depended on her but thank God through innovation via cellphone, communication was quick among the Smartmatic personnel, it was decided as per instruction of the Smartmatic Supervisor of our area to detached the memory card from the PCOS machine so that the election will push through.
Fast forward, i was able to vote around 9:30am.Almost everyone claimed the election process was unsatisfactory because the PCOS machine cannot cater 500 voters for one day but in terms of the results it was better compared to the old system since a day after the election, result is already finished especially in the local positions.
Hmmm, my assessment with the new automated election is "satisfactory" . There are things that need to improve. And I know the Comelec will work on this for the next coming elections. But nevertheles, I commend Comelec for a job done for this 2010 elections.

You might be wondering who graduated? Of course, its me! Yes, i made it. I completed my Masteral with the degree in Information Technology or MIT at ADFC ( Asian Development Foundation College ) in Tacloban City last March 23, 2010 under the CHED scholarhip program. I was a scholar courtesy of my sending institution STI through the effort of our administrator Ms. Maricel R. Ngo. She was the one who encouraged and enrolled me in the CHED program that is why I owed it to her, also I am grateful to Atty. Lucero, our President for approving my scholarship and to our academic head, Ms. Leni Garvilles for always been supportive to me ever since she is in that position ( college dean )she never fails to bring the best for me.
The journey was never that easy for I almost gave up because I was not certain if my delivering institution got a full recognization of the said program from CHED and what comes in my mind was, the time and effort i spent will all be put to waste.But thank God, after a year CHED called and informed me if I am still interested with the scholarship.
It is a grand achievement and I am forever be grateful to all the people who made it possible for me to complete the said course.

Last Sunday February 14 was the last elimination night for the 5th season of starstruck before the final judgment which will be on February 21 at the Araneta Coliseum. I am a fan of the show since way back then the 1st season. Last night was nerve wracking because among the six left one will be eliminated and i was so thrilled because i want Diva Montelaba of Cebu to fill the 5th spot. My husband who were also watching wanted Diva and he said if the Cebuana can't make it he will emailed GMA and told them that, that's the reason why GMA is not that strong in the Visayas Region(But our family is a full - pledge KAPUSO). As the last name to be called among Nina Kodaka and Diva,We are really praying for Diva to win since she is very talented and for a fact that she is a Bisaya. Here are the complete lists of the final 5:Sarah Lahbati, Rocco Nacino, Enzo Pineda, and Diva Montelava. They are going to fight at two titles, Ultimate Male and Female Survivors.

Ormoc Candidates for 2010 elections!

By chance one of my student before viewed my blog and he asked me that he was searching for Ormoc's candidates of this 2010 elections but unfortunately he found none.
As of today, there are streamers / tarpaulins that are hanging around the city. Aside from the incumbent officials, there are 2 seats of parties showing their interests in this years elections and according to many, it is going to be a tough one since Richard Gomez is running for a congressional post here.
I am living 10 kilometers away from the city and every time i went home, i could see Richards streamer in every house. and it seems that he got an edge over the other candidates.
According to rumors, there are three ( 3 ) candidates for Congressman and two ( 2 ) candidates for mayor here in Ormoc. Of course, it is not yet official since Comelec allows the candidate to campaign only starting February 9, 2010.

So, by that time I'm going to posts here in my blog the official candidates for Ormoc's local posts this 2010 elections.

Kris Aquino - new controversy!

I always salute those wives who fight what is best for their marriage. And I beg to disagree to those people who said that wives that are "professionals" and have "names" should not react violently or awkwardly towards any situation involving marital issues like their husbands "other women". Maybe what they're trying to point out is not to do any scandalous behavior like what Kris Aquino is into now. I do believe that she did not confronted Mayen Austria violently and based on what Kris narrated on television she was there at Mayens house to asked her not to call or text her husband because its really not appropriate for a single lady calling someones husband to seek advises.
My point here is, I will exactly do the same as what Kris did because why she calls my husband in the first place to asked advises where in he is not a guidance councilor or a psychiatrist. Well actually,i caught up with the same situation before and like what i said with my previous posts( manny pacquiao) I let my husband "other woman" feels Im her worst nightmare. I saw her last New year and last January 4 I confronted her not to see my husband ever again or else I will tell her husband about their affair because until now her husband is clueless. But Im sure they dont have an affair now since the girl lives far away here in Ormoc.
To Kris Aquino - fight what is right for your marriage and if you feel your marriage is worth fighting or saving for , go ahead. I know your mom and dad are just there watching you, ask help from them because theyre nearer to God in heaven.

Hi everyone! How was your new year? I hope you had a wonderful time with your family and friends same as mine.............................
Another year has passed and we are moving on to another chapter of our lives. I am hoping this year will be a better year for me, as i am about to finish my masters degree( MIT ). I am also praying and wishing a healthy me this year of the tiger and my married life will be stronger as we are about to celebrate our 10th year marriage with all the ups and downs before and though we tried to tame a little but each day is scary because i don't know what might happen.
I always include " World Peace" in my prayers for our children and our childrens children.

Manny " Pacman" Pacquiao did it again this time with Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico. Manny is holding seven records for the different divisions in boxing. He is a true " pound for pound" king.

It was a long fight though i did not watched it because am not really a boxing fanatic but i saw the delayed videos on TV. Well again he bring honor to our country and all the filipinos are really happy of this another victorous event he gave us.

But i was a bit disappointed of the speculations going around regarding manny's involvement with a particular movie star. As a wife i can relate to what Jinky went through at this point in time. It is very painful to see your husband involve with another woman. It seems that the entire world is crashing on you.

It doesnt mean that if the husband cheated its because you are not a good wife. Though there are many factors why a husband cheats and one of these is the " Peer factor" but back to Manny I think women are just after of what he has right now. These women are greed for money, fame and exposure.
To Jinky, fight what is right and dont let the " Pambansang Kabit" won the fight because as a wife we should fight back for the sake of our family specially for the children.

Grabeh naman talaga ang mga kabitis these days hindi na nahiya as in they let the entire world knew that they are kabits.Hahhaha, I remembered mine, I really kicked the ass of my husband's "Other Woman" so hangang ngayon she never showed up because i made her feel im her worst nightmare.

My stand here is if you are married be loyal to your partner if you feel there is something wrong or missing patch things up. Communication is the best weapon in a relationship. Now, if man can't help it to be involve with other woman then ako i want my husband to choose between the two of us kasi ayoko nang sharing and ayokong ipagsiksikan ang sarili ko sa isang lalaki na hindi makontento sa isa. Though talagang super sakit when you experienced this kind of delimma.

I salute those husband or partners who never cheat on their wives. Kung sino man kayo, kong may ganito pa ba ngayon sana magparami kayo para lahat masaya.

Today my in - laws are heading off to Cebu bound for Australia for three months. As we send them off to the pier, the entire family was crying including the little ones as if they understood everything. Three months is longer but somewhat shorter because we all know time flies fast. My sister in law brought her mom and dad to the "land down under" as tourists. They will have connecting flights from Cebu to Singapore and from Singapore to Melbourne Australia. It will be a long flight, it takes about 10 hours but I know my in laws gonna enjoy it and excited to land.
As of the siblings here including my hubby, they gonna miss their parents for they are very dependent on them specially to their mom.
Parting time is very hard but after three months tears will dried up and change into smiles, giggles and excitement as they heed home with all the pasalobongs and beautiful stories they have in the foreign land.

Well, it seems that it is not a good day for me today because first, i went to my sis in law birthday party at lunch time and i saw some faces which makes my day stormy. Then my husband skip from his work to join the drinking session there. Next, as I went to my work our accountant called me and informed me that i should accomplished my grades today else my salary will be hold and be available in the next payday.Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, i don't know what to say because even if i accomplished the grades i still have to submit my liquidation for the medicines i requested two months ago and that is the most hopeless one because i cannot anymore produce the recceipt my RCY students gave me.
I am disappointed with my self of what is happening today but life's like that i should take it as a scene that eventually gone tomorrow as i wake up.
