“Alireza M ,a 37 -year- old Iranian man was found alive a day after he was hanged . Amnesty International has urged Iran to stop his second execution.
The 37-year-old man, identified only as “Alireza M”, was initially ‘put to death’ at the regime’s Bojnourd prison in the north east of the country last Wednesday for possessing a kilo of crystal meth.
After hanging for twelve minutes he was declared dead by doctors. However, when his family went to collect his body from the prison morgue the next day they discovered he was still breathing.

“We found him alive again, which made his two daughters very happy,” an unnamed family member told Iranian state media.
The condemned man is now being nursed back to health in preparation for a repeat of the execution. “The verdict was the death sentence, and it will be carried out once the man gets well again,” an official said .Amnesty International is against this.

A homeless man approached officers at 6pm who were standing outside a TJ Maxx store in Boston, and handed them a black backpack which he had found.
The bag contained loads of cash and travelers cheques which was equivalent to the amount of $42,000. There was $2,400 in cash and the rest ($39,500) in American travelers cheques.

Roughly an hour after the man returned the lost backpack police received a call from the Best Buy store just round the corner. The store owner explained he had a customer who said he has lost a black backpack which contained “a large sum of money.”

A giant man was spotted by another driver and he just had to take a photo as it looked unbelievably real.

In the US a driver who pulled up behind this truck couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw what appears to be a giant form of a human led in the back of this truck.

There have been many speculation as to what this is or what it is used for. The best one which is thought to be the real reason is that it is being used in a budget movie as one of the characters. It is understood that the amazing sculpture of a human is being transported to film studios where it will be brought to life in a movie.

It is an incredibly detailed sculpture and amazed people as the giant was driven down the road. Hopefully we will see him again soon in a cinema.

She is just one month old, but as you read this, Zainab Nakawungu Babirye, is being prepared for an operation that could end with her uterus being removed.

If that happens, she will never be a mother. According to initial information from Masaka, Zainab could be the victim of a rivalry between her mother, Lydia Namaganda and her callous stepmother, a one Namuwonge, over their husband Ali Kulumba.

Kulumba told The Observer on Saturday that Namuwonge had pushed several pieces of razor blades into the baby’s vagina, at their home in Kirinda-Nyendo, Masaka, on Thursday, for unknown reasons.

Sounding sad, Kulumba said the two women had been quarrelling over him for some time now. However, Kulumba did not take the threats seriously until Namuwonge’s latest actions on Thursday evening.

“I had left her home with her siblings when she [Namuwonge] returned and stealthily moved into the house up to where the baby had been laid to sleep,” Namaganda told us on Saturday. “She cut her several times on the limbs and inserted the razor blades in her vagina.”

By Saturday, doctors at Masaka hospital had recovered four pieces of razor blade and x-ray images showed that some more blades were still stuck in the uterus.

“I’m waiting for Monday to get the way forward from the doctors but they have told me that an operation to remove the uterus is likely,” Namaganda added.

After the deed, Namuwonge was arrested on Friday evening and taken to Nyendo police station where she was first charged with assault but had her charge sheet amended to causing bodily harm when the police learnt of the extent of the baby condition.

Violence spread on Thursday, with government buildings set afire near the pyramids, policemen gunned down and scores of Christian churches attacked. As turmoil engulfed the country, the Interior Ministry authorized the use of deadly force against protesters targeting police and state institutions.

The Muslim Brotherhood, trying to regroup after the assault on their encampments and the arrest of many of their leaders, called for a mass rally on Friday in a challenge to the government's declaration of a month-long state of emergency and a dusk-to-dawn curfew.

At least 638 people were confirmed killed and nearly 4,000 wounded in the violence sparked when riot police backed by armored vehicles, snipers and bulldozers smashed the two sit-ins in Cairo where Morsi's supporters had been camped out for six weeks to demand his reinstatement. It was the deadliest day by far since the 2011 popular uprising that overthrew autocratic ruler Hosni Mubarak and plunged the country into more than two years of instability.

Also on Thursday, The United Nations Security Council called on both the Egyptian government and the Muslim Brotherhood to exercise "maximum restraint" and end the violence spreading across the country. Council members called for national reconciliation.

Kabaka Ronald Mutebi II was crowed as the 36th, King of Buganda after a long time abolition of Kingdoms by the former President of Uganda, Dr. Apollo Milton Obote as me being a Maganda, this is the most precious day in the history of our kingdom.
This year’s celebrations are to be held in Lubiri Palace in Mengo, Rubaga Division in Kampala on August 3, 2013. Last year’s celebrations were held at Sentema, in Wakiso.
Kabaka Mutebi was enthroned on July 31, 1993, at the official coronation site Nagalabi, Budo. The historical day in Buganda was attended by President Yoweri Museveni as the chief guest and many dignitaries to grace the function.May we continue to celebrate more years to come

Police Fire Brigade deputy chief, Hassan Kihada identified the dead as Steven Mayanja a 55-year- old, a business man in St Balikudembe Market and a 3-year-old William Katende.

According to Kihanda, the fire was caused by a candle wax left un-attended to.

The tragedy befalls at a time as Ugandans are mourning the death of 35 people who perished in a fuel fire at Namugongoona, a Kampala suburb on Saturday evening.

Three more fire victims have died at the National Referral Hospital Mulago, Police Spokesperson, Judith Nabakooba has said.

President Yoweri Museveni Monday announced a contribution of sh5m for each family of the victims of the Saturday night tragedy.

This contribution is to the families of both the people who died and those who were injured.

Announcing the contribution on behalf of the President, the minister for Presidency, Frank Tumwebaze said the State House comptroller has been directed to get in touch with affected families and make all the necessary administrative arrangements with the support of the police.

"It is very unfortunate and this could have been avoided," said Tumwebaze, flanked by the Kampala metropolitan Police commander, Felix Kaweesi, and Sarah Kagingo, the communications director at State House.

"This money is not compensation. It is a form of sympathy to the families that lost their beloved ones and those that got injured," Kagingo emphasized.

"We are aware that some victims who sustained injuries were rushed to other hospitals. But if they come to us, we shall help them as well," Kaweesi said.

He added police will assist the government in identifying and providing accurate information of those the contribution was directed to.

Approaching a man at a bar, Seyi Kolade had only one thing on her mind as she chatted with the stranger - sex. Within hours the pair were in bed together and she was delighted at how her evening had panned out.
And this was not a chance encounter, for Seyi was a sex addict and it was what she did almost every day for 13 years. Last night she said: “Sex addiction took hold of my life.”
Seyi, 35, was just 17 when she became dependent on sleeping with men. By 19 she'd had 40 partners and she says she has bedded a shocking total of 370 men.
Her dangerous addiction led her to a life of destruction - catching sexually transmitted infections, being evicted from her home and having two terminations.

By the age of 30, Seyi had hit rock bottom and needed help. Today, after attending numerous sex addiction meetings and 12-step programmes, Seyi has been celibate for four years and is helping others like her.
She explains says: “Sex addiction is something people associate with men, but it took hold of my life for more than 13 years.
“It was a craving and a fear of how I’d feel if I couldn’t get it.
“Once I did, it was a huge relief, like a weight was lifted.
“It’s like any addiction. It made me selfish, self-destructive and depressed but it was a cycle I couldn’t escape.”
She adds: “I lost my virginity when I was 13 with my first boyfriend.
“I was shocked when I fell pregnant. I gave birth when I was 14. It was a very difficult time.”
Social services arranged a nanny to look after her daughter, Sarah, from six weeks old.
Being a young mum scarred Seyi’s childhood. She says: “I moved out of home when I was 16 with Sarah and lived in a mother and baby unit. I felt terribly lonely. I craved affection, I was miserable.”

Moving into a housing association home at 17, Seyi met then-boyfriend Paul, 31. It was now that she began to use sex to replace her feelings of loneliness.

She says: “When I started having sex with my boyfriend I thought it was the answer and would stop me feeling so lonely. But it wasn’t enough.”
Going to bars, Seyi, from Birmingham, cheated on Paul at least once a week with strangers or men she would meet regularly.
She says: “I needed sex and afterwards it was a relief. When I couldn’t have sex my confidence would plummet, I felt ugly and went into a spiral of upset and frustration, feeling unworthy and needing another fix as soon as possible.”

Seyi fell pregnant at 17 with son, Andrew. She says: “I told Paul it was his although there was some doubt in my mind. After I gave birth I tried to stay faithful. I wanted sex with him four to five times a day, but the attention from him wasn’t enough.
“When the pent-up sexual frustration became too much, I’d go elsewhere and get validation through sex.

“I cheated on him three times in six months, then fell pregnant again.”
Devastated and unable to look after another child, Seyi made the decision to have her baby terminated.

She says: “It wasn’t fair on the child to have them. I didn’t know whose baby it was so I didn’t tell Paul. I wanted our relationship to work but we split up when I was 19.”
Seyi’s heartbreak made her sex addiction go wild. She says: “The only cure for my loneliness was sex. I had five guys I could meet with for sex when I wanted and was also sleeping with strangers. I’d go to bars and easily pick one up.

Being good in bed made me feel worthy.”
By 22 Seyi had caught chlamydia twice. Going out almost every night while her children were looked after by friends and family, all she could think about was sex.

She says: “Between the ages of 22 to 30, life was a blur, my addiction had taken over.
“I was sleeping with five to six men, or meeting strangers for sex at bars weekly. I fell pregnant again at 26. I felt I had no choice but to have a termination. I got drunk and had sex After the procedure.

“I don’t know how I managed to keep my job as a management consultant. I took lots of sick days when I craved sex and couldn’t face the office. I even slept with a colleague.
“I was evicted for not paying rent when I was 29 and had to send my children to live with my family.”
While staying with a friend Seyi saw the documentary The Secret, about the laws of attraction. She says: “I knew I had a problem but never stopped to think about being a sex addict. I realised I needed help.”
After quitting her job to concentrate on her recovery Seyi, then 31, went to an addiction meeting.

She says: “There were six others there and when I listened to their stories it cured my nerves. I didn’t stop craving sex straight away but cut down slowly.” Since August 2009 she has been celibate.

She says: “I’m so proud of myself. I’ve craved sex but the programme lets me know the trigger signs.

“I don’t plan on having sex any time soon. If the right guy comes along and I feel I’m in a stable, loving relationship, I’d feel safe to do it. I have my children back living with me and feel I’m no longer a sex addict. “I’d hate to think where my life would be now if I hadn’t sought help.”
Despite her recovery, Seyi lives with the guilt of her addiction. She says: “I could have passed on STIs, I had two terminations and my kids didn’t have the attention they deserved.

“I’ve now trained as an inspirational speaker and happiness advocate. At workshops and seminars I can help others understand what sex addiction is, where it comes from and recovery.
“Being celibate has given me my life back. I want to help others do the same.”
