No! But I'ts been a busy periode in my life. Mostly, I've made a lot of paintings, (nice excuse for not blogging.. ;-) but now it's about time to share with you, some of the picture's I've made.
I have been reading other peoples blogs, though. Always wonderful to see, what you creative people have made. Makes me happy and inspired! But here goes: I'm experimenting with acrylic/collage on wood. I like the hard surface better, than canvas:

This is so much fun, working with. I've started another painting in this style, quite big. (100 X 100 centimeters - don't know what that is in inches... ) It's for a painting contest; very exciting.

A curved lady

Last week, I had a wonderful time making this curved, sexy lady.. :o)

A friend of mine, said: You're such a little, skinny woman - how come you wanna draw/paint big women, now? Well, the reason is so obvious, in my opinion. I find that women with round shapes are far more sexy, and often have an erotic charisma. The progress in drawing them, is very challenging, so that's what I love working with, at the moment. I've made several sketches for the next, curved ladies. It'll be quite fun!

Princesses for a princess..

Right after Christmas, some very good friends og mine, had a little baby girl. I promised to make some wall-decor for her room, and ended up with these princesses. It was a funny projekt to make, but well, the backgrounds are a bit sloppy - I knooow ;-)
But considering my loss of creative inspiration and motivation, I'm okay satisfied with the result. -And best of all; so is her parents :-)

I'm not bloggin' that much these days - but I'm following what all of you talented and creative people are uploading. And I absolutely love it and enjoys it. Keep safe, folks <3

First attempt to acrylic

Hope you all had a warm and lovely Christmas, with friends and family. I had - nice and quiet. We certainly had a white Christmas in Denmark - actually it snows, right now. Outside my window there's about 40-50 cm of snow. Allready looking forward to the summer..

I've been working on a painting, lately. For a long time, I had this canvas which i did'nt knew what to do with.. So I decided to make my first acrylic painting, ever. What a challenge! Acrylic is a bit difficult, but very interesting. I'm going to buy some more canvas, 'cause this is fun!
Still got a lot to learn, using acryl.. But I'm trying and learning :o)

I used acrylic, goldleaf, designpaper and beads. Measures 100x100 cm

A witch?

No, not me. (-even though SOME people would say I am.. lol)

My strange mood, these days, made me want to make a picture with a kind of creepy image.
I think she turned out okay. Just got tired of making happy faces all the time..

I used crayons, watercolor, napkins and decoupage glue. The hand look a bit awkward, but I'm always practicing hands.. It annoys me sometimes when I see people draw beautiful, very detailed faces. No offense, but still.. The hands people draw - if they even bother too- often looks like skin-colored mitts. Practice, practice! That's the only way :o)

Well, next project is already on my mind. I have this canvas just standing in a corner. Measures 100x100 cm. I'ts about time to splatter it with some nice acrylics, buttery decoupage glue and images. Yummy <3
That'll be fun, I think.

Making collages

It's still very cold, and very white outside. Chances for a white Christmas must be very high!

I found this little survivor on my patio. She is a perfect illustration of how my life has been the last couple of month's, so I really love this snapshot! But she'll make it to spring. -With a new, even more beautiful flower ;o)

Well, it wasn't roses I wanted to write about today, but crafting! (-Of course)

A couple a days ago, I found a blog and a website, which really stunned me. Sometimes you find art that is awesome, cute, beautiful - you name it. But sometimes, you discover art, that blows you away, gives you the chills and almost makes you cry in joy and respect. (-Sounds a bit weird, but I'm sure that other crafters knows exactly what I mean.. :o)

The artist who caused this emotional reaction in me, is the talented mrs. Ingrid Dijkers.

Her work is such great source of inspiration, her fabulous art journals and how she makes them is just fantastic..

I have so many ideas, at the moment. So many projects I want to do. But I try to keep focus on one project at a time. Collages has been on my mind for a while, and watching Ingrid's art journals, made me had a go for it! I don't want to copy her style, but as you can see, I'm quite inspired by her..

Todays craft

It's sooo cold outside.. But Maggie and Molly don't mind. They really love all this snow; see?

Well, staying inside, is a nice excuse for making some crafty stuff.. Made these candlelightholders out of some used milkcontainers, earlier. (Recycling and re-using things for crafts, is someway often on my mind. I'm not that ecologic, just think it's fun!!)

This year for Christmas, I've decided to make my own Christmas cards for my loved ones.
The fascination of recycling is is still my passion, so I've found a big pile of free postcards, that has been hidden away for many years now. With some gold leaf, glittering glue, a drawing - the cards have turned out to be very personal.. But I don't have in mind to make 20 or something!
Started out with at pencil sketch..

Gave her life with crayons, added a bit of shadows and so.. You know.

And finally, "messed" her up with glue, glitter, goldleaf, etc.

("God Jul" Means "Merry Christmas" in Danish)

Made another one (-and another, and another.. But they're not dry yet!)

Well, in a couple of days, these cards are arriving to my beloved family. Giving them a smile and a warm Christmas thought, is just as joyful as it is to make them..

Nothing beats a day like this. To make creative stuff, just give me the peace and relaxation I need so much, these days.

I have finally stepped out of the stone age...

...and started blogging. That was about time!

For a long time, I've watched and read a lot of other blogs. Mainly from other creative folks, like myself.

I think this a great way to share with other people with creative interests, what I do. But the best part, though, is to find inspiration and the joy of watching what other crafters do.

Working with mixed-media, is quite new to me.. But I absolutely love it! For many years, I've either been drawing, OR painting OR making jewelry, collages, crocheting... But now i feel that I have found out, what's most dear to me: Making collages with watercolor/acrylic/drawing and different kind of papercuts from magazines, design paper etc.

As soon I'm getting famliar with this blogging-thing, I will upload photos with some of the stuff I make.

Right now, it's time for a hot cup of tea... It's so cold outside right now - Denmark is all frozen, and covered with beautiful snow. Brrr!

By the way: The picture is watercolor/acrylic and decoupage, on canvas. Measures 30x30 cm.
