Monday, July 27th: watching baseball...

Today we enjoyed watching one of our local Chelsea teams play baseball in the World Series in Southaven, MS... It was so fun to watch them. It seems like yesterday JP's team was there! Fun memories!

Tuesday, July 28th: Paint Ball...

JP and his boys bible study group went to play paint ball! He loved playing and had a great time!

Wednesday, July 29th my lunch date

Sister was at the lake with the Grands so it was just me and this guy eating lunch at Zaxbys that day.

Thursday, July 30th: lookers are a big deal...

6th graders don't have lockers at out school... 7th grade is the first year you get one and just so you know and probably remember that is a really big deal! The school had a locker practice day! Here is JP trying out his locker skills!

Friday, July 31st: a day with my girl...

The boys were at Dad & Lad RA

camp so it was just Sis and I today... We enjoyed lunch together and did a little shopping too!

Monday, July 20th: Beach Day 5

Today was the first we actually got to enjoy the beach at our condo! No seaweed thank goodness! We enjoyed our last day at the beach!

Tonight we went and ate at Floyds which was on the beach and we took family beach pictures with my big camera! Surprisingly we ended up with a few!

Then after dinner it was on to The Track for go carts! Brylee beat Jackson on both races! Let's go ahead and say that went over like a lead balloon! JP was "so mad" and Brylee could not have been happier! Go Carts is probably one of their favorite things about the beach!

Tuesday, July 21st: Until next time white sandy beaches....

Today we were heading home from the beach... We decided to head back to Seaside on our way home and grab some pizza at Bud & Ally's pizza bar! It sure was yummy and a great place to eat on our way out!

Wednesday, July 22nd: Wet n Wild at LBC

Today our church had a Wet n Wild fun day! It was suppose to be at night but due to weather they changed the time and had it during the day too! I was super glad! It was great to just go and let the kids slide and play and hang out and talk to the other moms!

Thursday, July 23rd: The Game of Life: tonight was game night... The kids picked Life {so they could argue over who wants to be the banker} just kidding, but keeping it real! If only real life was this easy! LOL!

Friday, July 24th: DQ Date

Today I took Jackson and Brylee to Dairy Queen for lunch and they enjoyed their ice cream treat!

Saturday, July 25th: My Classroom is Complete... And so cute I might add!!!

I recruited all my little helpers today and spend 12 hours in my classroom and we pretty much finished it today! Thanks to my mom, dad, hubby, Jackson, Brylee & Connie... We are mean team!!!

This is the view from the door! I love my little Super Hero themed room! Thank you School Girl Style for making the cutest stuff ever!!!

This is the right of the room if you are looking at the board from the back of the room! Can I brag about my super cute chandelier on the far right above my kidney table... I need a better picture but it turned out super cute!!!

This is the back of the room... The curtain will actually stay pulled back on either side but right now it is hiding all the teachers stuff that was in this room before me... She is still waiting to be able to move her stuff to her new room! Those boards will actually have stuff related to learning once school starts!

My desk area... I love this too!!! I still need to add pictures to my bulletin board (black frame) and some personal items to my desk!

This room is many years of pinning ideas and being in all kind of classrooms and having a plan! I am super in love with it and I am so pleased with how it turned out!!! Vision complete!!!

Sunday, July 26th: School Supplies...

Today might as well been Christmas morning for Brylee! She was so excited about being able to get her school supplies! She loves her some school supplies... She comes by it honest!!! I was also a rebel and let her bend the rules and get some fun supplies! I know I am a teacher and I should have gotten the plain ole black marble composition books but really who wants that and so glitter fun colors it is! It said a blue binder... Well we got a blue one just not royal blue we got turquoise blue! Hey it's still blue!!! She was trilled! We also both got our first day of school outfits!!! Eeekkk! It's getting real!!! ;) Summer ends in like 1 week ( well for the teachers in our house) the students in our house have a few extra days!!!! Can I say that I

Kind of ready... We need some structure in our house!!! Sleeping until mid morning and staying up all night is not something we can handle for much longer!!! (Remind me of this in about a month on a Wedneday at 5:30am when my alarm goes off!)

Monday, July 13th: Camp Sunshine Farms: Brylee went to a camp near Vincent at Camp Sunshine Farms! She has been once before and had a great time so she was excited to go back!

Tuesday, July 14th: happy anniversary to us... 14 years on the 14th!!!!

You want to hear what fabulous romantic thing we did today to celebrate... That would be attend a Professional Development session on Unit Planning together! I know right!!! Sounds fabulous right? Don't be jealous! I even won a door prize and when they drew my name RP said... Oh good... It's your anniversary present! Ha! Lol! It's all good... I would not want it any other way!!!

Wednesday, July 15th: oops another day with no picture... But picture this...us packing and doing laundry because we leave for the beach TOMORROW!!!!

Thursday, July 16th: Destin Here We Come...

I was so ready to get to the beach and start our vacation! I had the brilliant idea that we would leave at 5 am! I think RP thought I was kidding but I wasn't I was for real! I told him if we left by 5 we would be there by 9! Ha! ;) We packed the car the night before woke up and hit the road by 5!!! Here we are pulling out of the neighborhood....

It was the best idea I have ever had... The kids slept the first 2 hours, then we stopped for breakfast, and the watched a movie re last little bit! It was brilliant... Quietest and fastest ride ever!!!!

We arrived in Ft Walton a little after 9:00 AM at the hotel that Richard's parents has stayed at the night before! We let the kids swim a little bit and then we went to lunch!

We ate lunch at Dewy Destin's and it was so yummy! Probably my second favorite meal of our trip! The view was beautiful and the food was yummy too!

After lunch we headed to the condo to check in (we got to check in early... Yay) and then we headed to the beach!!! I think this chick is excited to be at the beach!!!

After a great day on the beach we headed to dinner at my favorite place... The Back Porch!!!!

We had to wait to eat but that no big deal because it on the beach... The kids played and RP and I enjoyed a beverage!!!

We also snagged a few pictures while we waited... How pretty is that water???

Richard parents went with us to the beach too!!!

We enjoyed this absolutely beautiful sun set while we ate dinner! It was by far my favorite night our food was great and our view was amazing!!!

It was an awesome first day at the beach!

Friday, July 17th: Destin Day 2...

It was time to start Destin Day 2 and head to the beach! We looked out our condo that morning and the ocean looked a little dark after going to the beach and looking there was tons of seaweed in the ocean! Boo hoo! So we loaded up and headed to the beach by The Back Porch because it did not have seaweed! I think we would have all suffered through the seaweed if it was everywhere but the water was beautiful up the road so it worth the extra time and effort it took to pack up and drive to the "clean" beach! I mean can this water get any prettier!!! It looks like something out of a magazine!

We enjoyed hanging out at the beach that day, playing in the sand, jumping waves, and swimming in the ocean! I did a bad job taking pictures of them playing in the ocean!

After our day at the beach we went back, got dressed & headed to Harbor Walk to eat at Margaritaville for dinner! I enjoyed my coconut shrimp but we did not have the best service and other did not like their meal so this was not our favorite meal of the trip needless to saw!

The clown on stilts took our groups picture!!! Ha! He said he was a "human selfie stick" ha! ;)

Jackson and Brylee love Harbor Walk because of all the fun things they have to do! They both ride the zip line and Jackson climbed the rock wall!

Harbor Walk also has tons of little shops, boats, and other fun things to walk around and look at it!

We ended our evening with ice cream!!!

Saturday, July 18th: Destin Day 3

Today the seaweed was still in the ocean at our condo so we headed back to the public beach up the road! It was beautiful and so calm today so I actually got in the ocean! I don't think when it's all "wavey" but I will float in it when it is calm!

After another great day at the beach we headed back to the condo to get dressed and head to dinner!

Tonight we went to Baytown Wharf and ate at Acme Oyster House! I love going to Baytown and walking around the shops and the kids love all the activities too!

Jackson played a golf game before dinner while we were waiting on our table!

They both tried oysters for the first time! The man at the oyster bar made them

some grilled oysters with garlic butter & cheese and game them bread to eat them with! They were both proud of them selves for actually eating them! I don't know if they actually liked them but they were sure excited that they ate them!

After dinner we enjoyed sitting outside watching Jackson and Brylee climb all over this ropes course.

Brylee is a little more cautious than Jackson but she did make it up to the top once!

Jackson the dare devil made it to the top and "walked the plank" and rang the bell!

I bet they climbed this thing for a hour! They were hot and tired when they got down! They both cooled off with a snow cone for Brylee and ice cream for JP!

Sunday, July 19th: Seaside...

Today we went to Seaside for the day! I alway like a day in the middle to give everyone a break from the beach and today was our day! We drove to Seaside and walked around the shops and enjoyed lunch at the food trucks! We all go different stuff and it was all good! It's nice to have a break from seafood and eat different stuff too. I had BBQ nachos and RP had a turkey BLT grilled cheese. They were both really good! Richard's parents got a BLT & a burger and they said their food was good too! It's always fun to enjoy Seaside!

We can't leave without ice cream!!!

After the day at Seaside we came back and enjoyed the late afternoon at the pool and then cooked in that night! We had what we called Asain, Cajujn, Southern Crusie! Steve made an Asain shrimp dish, we also had low country boil which was my favorite & then we had shrimp and grits too! Brylee loves her some cheese grits and had been wanting shrimp & grits but when you go to restaurants they have "funky things" in the dish so told her we would make her some with just cheese grits and shrimp! She loved it! It was nice to stay in and enjoy dinner at the condo & then we played Phase 10! That was the card game of the trip for sure!

Week 27: July 6th through July 12th

Monday, July 6th: Brylee heads to GA Camp for the week!!! Today we dropped Brylee off at GA church camp! I got her all registered, unpacked, made her bed, and kissed her good bye for the week!

She went with some of her friends from church!

I don't know who should get a medal for surviving the girls or the moms!!! ;)

Tuesday, July 7th: More Classroom Work:

I had planned to work on my classroom a ton this week since both of the kids were off at "camp"! I knew I would be able to work without interruptions! Today I hung up my alphabet! Let me just say this about sent this OCD lady into a tail spin... And the screen is not level above the board so that made it challenging too! Needless to say I got them up... It only took me 2 hours!

Wednesday, July 8th: A Picture is worth 1,000 words!

The camp Brylee was at had a Facebook page and they would load pictures from the week each night! I would look at the pictures each night and get so excited when I would see a picture of Brylee! This is just the mid week pick me up I needed! I think the hardest part is not being able to talk to them so seeing pictures of what they are doing makes it better!

Thursday, July 9th: Girls Day! I met Katy today at the Ross Bridge Pool and we enjoyed some much needed girl time! We hang out by the pool, enjoyed an adult beverage, lunch and uninterrupted conversation!

Friday, July 10th: I survived... Time to get my sissy girlfriend from Camp!!!!

I was so excited to get to camp and see Brylee and hear all about the fun she had that week! This was the first time I saw her and clearly you can tell she is not interested in me! LOL!

They were all coming into the worship center to share songs they learned this week!

After the closing ceremony we got to go get the stuff and pick them up!!! She had a great week at camp and I was so proud of her for being brave and staying all week!

One of the first things she said to me when we got to the car was "mom I am so hot and so thirsty... I want a big ole cup of sweet tea"! Well, I had her a big ole cup of sprite and promised her some tea! She was so funny telling me that she "had to drink plain ole water all week with every meal"... Side note she is not a fan of plain water! We ran to get some lunch and she got her a big ole cup of sweet tea... This is her "awe sweet tea I have missed you face"!!!

She had a great time at camp and had lots of fun stories to tell and did lots of fun activities! She even said she wanted to go back next year! So proud of you sissy!

Saturday, July 11th: Tubing on the Lake...

No your eyes are not doing tricks on you that is really me and GoGo on the tube!

This is how that all went down: the kids dared GoGo to get on the tube and ride it and her response was right after your mom does it! Well I took the challenge and we both got on the tube and rode!!!

Then the kids begged me to ride with them and so I did! I even gave the go a head for G-Daddy to give it some gas and "yank us around a little"!!! Lordy have mercy... I should have known G-Daddy would find the biggest wave in the lake and we went way up on the air! It was fun but I am old! Ha! ;) But I remained the princess of the tube and did not fall off! ;) It was a fun once in a life time thing and I got some major cool mom points too!

Sunday, July 12th: oops no picture...

Brylee and I went to a baby shower & we ate dinner with GoGo and Grandaddy but for some reason I forgot to take a picture!!! Just pretend! Ha! Lol!

Monday, June 29th: My little helpers

Today was the first day I went to start working on my classroom! I put my helpers to work... We had lots of cleaning to do! ;)

Tuesday, June 30th: Day 2 in my Classroom:

Brylee went home with Granny and Pap Pap to the lake for a few days so that gave me some time to work in my room! I did lots of cleaning in the room and cleaning out and I just had to get one bulletin board up so I could at least feel like I was accomplishing something!

Wednesday, July 1st: My Ice Cream Date: Jackson was a trooper and ran some errands with me so I treated him to a blizzard!

Thursday, July 2nd: Headed to the Lake!!

We headed to the lake today to beat the "holiday rush" and get the boat and enjoy some time on the lake before all the crazies got out on the water. We were also missing our Sissy Girl who had been at the lake since Monday!

Friday, July 3rd: Holiday Fun with Friends

Today we went and met our friends The Franklins out on the lake. Jackson, Anthony and Cole enjoyed tubbing and Ray found them a rope swing to go off of a few times too! The cousins all enjoyed tubing as well!

Saturday, July 4th: Happy 4th of July

We took our traditional boat picture in our patriotic bathing suits!!! We have been doing these pictures for about 10 years!!!

Sunday, July 5th: Gearing up for Camp!

Richard, Brylee & I left the lake shortly after lunch to head home to get sister ready for camp! Jackson stayed at the lake for Camp Granny-PapPap!!! We had to pick up a few last minutes things and get her all packed for camp! We also let her pick where she wanted to go eat. She had to get her GoGo and G-Daddy fix as well so we all went to dinner at Olive Garden! Spoiling Sissy before she leaves us for a week!!!

Monday, June 22nd: Chimney Rock Fun!!!

Jackson and Brylee have wanted to see and jump off Chimney Rock as long as I can remember. But, it is pretty far by boat from RP's parents house so we have never been over there. Well, Grandaddy's boat "lives" in the marina not far from it and that is ALL the kids have talked about all weekend long! We rode by there on Saturday and it was CR-A-ZEE over there with boat and people many I am sure who were over served so we drove by and went on! We promised them that on Monday before we put the boat up we would go back by there and let them jump off because we knew there would not be crazy crowded during the week! And we were right there was us and 3 boats! So they FINALLY got to jump off the "little rocks" the Lutz rock is as high as we would let them go! Now their summer has been made!!! Check that off their summer bucket list!!!

Tuesday, June 23rd: Movie Time: After being in the sun and on the lake for 5 of the last 7 days we were sun and water logged and ready to just chill! Jackson also started summer football workouts today (by the way how is my baby boy old enough for summer workouts... He is still suppose to be the ball boy and just get to go for fun)! So he was really hot and tired! We decided it was a great day for a movie add stimulus Tueaday to that and it was a win win! We saw "inside-0ut" and it was super cute movie with a great little message!

Wednesday, June 24th: Golf Date with Daddy

Jackson has been begging and I mean begging RP to take him to Timberline and play golf! So "finally" as we says, today was the day! The boys went to play 9 holes of golf this afternoon and BP and I just chilled at home! Everyone was happy!

Thursday, June 25th: oh Brylee...

Tonight we went and got our weekly Mexican fix and this is what sister does during dinner to entertain us!!! Heaven help us this girl is crazy!!!

Friday, June 26th: Dinner at Chucks on the Boat! This is another one of those things Jackson and Brylee have been looking forward to this summer! We drove over to Chucks on the boat to eat some yummy pizza! Another item off the summer bucket list!!

Saturday, June 27th: Skiing, Tubing & Knee Boarding

Jackson and Brylee brought out all the toys today and rode all over the lake. Jackson skied for the first time this summer and did great! Brylee tried and almost got up but didn't quite make it! We will keep trying and I know she will get it she is so close! But she can tear up the lake on a knee board she will "sling shot" as she calls it from one side of the boat to the other! They are fun to watch and will ride as long as you pull them!

Sunday, June 28th: More Lake Sunday Funday

We did more boat riding, swimming, kneeboarding, skiing & taught Captain Jack the ways of the lake since he reminds us weekly that he can drive the boat by himself in two summers! Heaven help us... I don't know that I am ready for that! Just b/c it's the law doesn't mean it's ok with us! That is what we tell him weekly! LOL!

Week 24: June 15th through June 21st

Monday, June 15th: My Lawn Boy... Is cuter than your lawn boy!!! I am sure RP is glad he has a lawn helper now!!!

Tuesday, June 16th: G-Daddy's {and GoGo} New Boat!!! So you know what's better than buying a boat??? G-Daddy (and GoGo) buying a boat!!!

Last weekend GoGo made the comment that she would like to have a pontoon boat! Well that was music to Grandaddy's ears! As a matter of fact, he said I can make that happen! We just so happen to be in Pell City and decided to "ride by" the marina just to "see what they had" and low and behold "we" picked out a boat and they boat it the next week!

Then the fun began! We had to "break the boat in" and put 10 hours on it before he had it transported to Lake Martin to the marina where it would "live"!

So that is exactly what we did road around Logan Martin lake in Pell City for two days putting hours on the boat! I don't think you heard any complaints from these two or their parents! Fun times ahead on the boat!!!

Wednesday, June 17th: The OMC at LBC!

Tonight our church had a fun night and played a game called Organized Mass Chaos where the kids could get wet and play in shaving cream (as you can see) and do all kind of fun stuff! The kids had a great time!

Thursday, June 18th: First Area Game

Tonight was Jackson first area game for his all star season! Unfortunately we did not have the best all star team and we did not win a single tournament game! Win or Loose I love watching him play ball! However, I was not sad the season ended... It's no fun to play and never win!

Friday, June 19th: Love my Baseball Player

Tonight was his last game!!! At least we looked cute right!

Saturday, June 20th: lake day fun day!

We enjoyed our first day on Lake Martin in the boat! We rode all over that lake and the kids had a great time tubing & swimming! We had a fun day with friends and family!!!

Sunday, June 21st: Happy Father's Day

We had another great day on the lake! Riding around and seeing the lake and swimming on the sandy beaches! Then After GoGo and Grandaddy left to go home we kept the boat for another day and stayed at the lake for some more fun in the sun! This handsome daddy took us out on a sunset cruise!

Week 23: June 8th through June 14th

Monday, June 8th: XLR8 Camp is a Family Affair - today started a camp at our church and it was a family affair! RP was the field director, I helped with Kitchen Chaos, and Jackson and Brylee were campers! We had to be at camp at 8:30am... That sure was early for our summer schedule!!! Car selfie on the way!!!

Tuesday, June 9th: Too Tired:

This pictures described all of us after camp Tuesday! Monday was such a long day bc we left straight from camp and went to Oak Mtn to play a ball game and did not get home until after 10pm and had to be back up & at camp at 8:30am until 4:00pm. To say we all came home and crashed this afternoon is an understatement!

Wednesday, June 10th: Kitchen Crew

One of the track times at camp was Kicthen Chaos. We made several different fun recipes each day when the groups came! It was a fun little track time! Each day of camp the camera crew made a video of the day and our crew made it on the video today!!! Ha! ;)

Thursday, June 11th: Leeds Baseball Tournament

Jackson played a baseball game tonight in Leeds and Nonnie and Poppie got to come see him play!!!

Friday, June 12th: Garth Brooks Baby!!!!

One of the two things I am so excited about this summer is Garth & the beach!!! Well tonight was Garth!!! Thanks to this guy for getting us tickets to the best concert ever!!!!

We met our friend Scott & Brooke & Jill & Rhett and ate dinner at the Mexican restaurant in UpTown by the civic center! Such a fun night with these girls!!!

We left dinner to walk to the concert and the line to get in was nuts!!! It was us and 10,000 of our closest friends {in low places} but we made it in of course!

Garth should win entertainer of the year! He puts on the BEST concert ever!!!! It was by far the best concert I have ever been too! He brought the house down!!! I don't know that I have ever been to a concert where i stood up the whole time and sang every word to every song!!!

I told RP if I had tickets I would have gone Saturday night to see him again! He was seriously that good! So summer bucket list item number 1 is checked off the list next up beach vaca!!!!

Brylee and I enjoyed celebrating this little ones 4th birthday!!! Happy Birthday Burk!!!!

Week 22: June 1st through June 7th

Monday, June 1st: When Jackson was little he has a green John Deere tractor and a trailer that he called his "monmower" and his "crailer"! He loved that thing and rode it all the time! When Jackson and Brylee were little she would get in the back of his "crailer" and he would pull her all around our yard! Well, 10 years later I look outside at the lake today and he is still pulling her!!

Tuesday, June 2nd: swimming & baseball

Today we went swimming with Katy and her girls!!! The kids had fun playing on this slide.

Jackson has all star baseball pics from Cari Dean tonight! Her pictures are always my favorite!!

Wednesday, June 3rd: Celebrating with yummy dessert!!! Today Katy and I went to lunch at Olexas! It is a yummy little lunch spot that is really know for its cakes & has some of the best desserts! Little did we know when we planned this that we would be celebrating something too! I was offered a teaching position last Friday and it was officially approved Tuesday evening at the board meeting so I got an email on the way from my principal that I was officially a new 4th grade teacher! I am so excited to be going back to the classroom!!! It is an answer to many many prayers!!!

Thursday, June 4th: Nap-Thirty

The kids and I were watching a movie this afternoon! I knew that I was going to fall asleep during the movie! Well when I woke up Jackson and Brylee were both asleep too! That doesn't happen very often!!! One of the reasons I love summer! Spontaneous Naps!!!

Friday, June 5th: national donut day & baseball

Today was one of Jackson's favorite days! National Donut Day!!! He could eat a million KK donuts! They are his fav for sure!

Then we kicked off our all star season with an invitational tournament in Calera tonight!

Saturday, June 6th: supporting graham and his Chelsea 7u all star team.

After Jackson was done with baseball on Saturday we decided to ride up to see my cousin play ball in Pell City! Jackson sitting in Brooke's itty bitty chair watching Graham bat! Ha!

Sunday, June 7th: BMX track at Oak Mtn

Richard parents were camping at Oak Mtn this weekend in their camper! Brylee spent a few nights with them and then Jackson spent a night with them! We met them over there the next day and brought their bikes so they could ride the BMX track! It is HOT but fun!

Monday, May 25th: Happy Memorial Day!!!

We enjoyed another day on the lake tubing, boat riding & knee boarding!

Tuesday, May 26th: Lucky Fisherman! Jackson is probably the most impatient fisherman in the world but today when all the cousins were fishing he was the lucky fisherman who caught the only fish that day!

Wednesday, May 27th: Summer Snacks

We love an after dinner snack in the summer and tonight's choices were Sweet Frog for JP & Steel City for Brylee!

Thursday, May 28th: Lunch with the Haley Girls!

Brylee and I met Katy and her girls for lunch at Chicken Salad chick and then went to have Popsicles at Steel City!!! We love a good girls lunch!!!

Friday, May 29th: celebrating a win with Sweet Frog!!! Jackson won his first practice game and wanted Sweet Frog for a post game snack to celebrated!

Saturday, May 30th: Pepper Place Fun!

Brylee and I went to breakfast and pepper place (a local farmers market) with GoGo and G-Daddy today! Brylee enjoyed her big ole jar of sweet tea!

Sunday, May 31st: Boat Riding: we headed back to the lake today for some more summer fun since we had a weekend off from baseball (well we had practice but no game)! Fun Family Times!

Week 20: May 18th through May 24th

Monday, May 18th: The Royals are the CYC 11/12 Champs!!!

Jackson's team won the championship game tonight to win the 11/12 league!!! Congrats boys!!!!

Tuesday, May 19th: SEC Auburn Baseball

GoGo, Brylee and I went to see Auburn play in the SEC baseball tourney at the Hoover Met! War Eagle!!!

Wednesday, May 20th: GA Recognition

Tonight at church Brylee had GA Recognition where they recognited the girls for their participation in mission projects this year. Brylee received a charm for her bracelet and a certificate! The dads also escort them in for the ceremony.

Thursday, May 21st: Schools Out for Summer!!!

Today was the last of school for Jackson and Brylee! Jackson completed 6th grade and Brylee completed 4th grade!!!

Friday, May 22nd: Welcome to Summer!!!!

We are lake bound for the weekend and kicking off a summer full of fun!!!!

Saturday, May 23rd: lots of lake fun!!!

Today started all the lake fun for the summer!!!! These 3 cousins kicked off the summer with a tube ride!!!!

Mr Scott & Mrs Shirley came down for the weekend and Mr Scott pulled Jackson and Brylee around on the tube behind his ski boat! They loved it and had a great time jumping waves & getting thrown off!

Monday, May 11th: Brylee's Softball Party! Brylee had the best little softball party! They painted these cute softball canvases and then we had a cookout and the girls got more gifts! They got personalized necklaces, wooden bats, and a wooden softball initial letter! Such cute gifts & an awesome party to end an awesome season.

Tuesday, May 12th: Roo Cups for the WIN! I don't know if every area is obsessed with Roo Cups like our area is but these little cups are like liquid gold in our area! In case you don't know what they are; you purchase the cup and then you can refill it for $0.25 all summer long! Brylee ask to go after school to get a Roo Cup but our Roo was out so we went to the one in Columbiana to get them! These cups are always a sign of summer!!!! We will make many deposits and stops at the Roo this summer!!!

Wednesday, May 13th: Wednesday Night Dinner at Church! We love Wednesday night meals at church!!!

Thursday, May 14th: Cheering for Graham!

Tonight we went to the ball park and cheered on Graham in his play off game while his family watched his sister graduate from pre-school!!! I love watching him play! He is such a natural and made two diving catches at short and got the game ball!!!

Friday, May 15th: TGIF and the last Friday of school!!! Jackson ask me this morning when we woke up if I would take them to get some "real breakfast" on the way to school! So off we went to grab some McDonalds breakfast before school!!

Saturday, May 16th: Girls Day!!! Brylee and I met GoGo for lunch at Ashley Macs, then we went shopping and sister scored her from chaco's and then we made a stop by Steel City for a Popsicle!!! It's was a super Saturday!

Sunday, May 17th: Jackson's Baptism!!! I know there are things my children will do and have done that will make me proud to be their mother! Today was definitely one of those times! Jackson publicially professed his faith and was baptized tonight at church!

Brylee also sang in her choir concert tonight at church!

We came home and enjoyed dinner and cake with our families!

Brylee got some flowers, balloon & a few surprises!

Jackson received some keepsake items: a watch with the date engraved in the back from GoGo and Grandaddy!

He also got a bible from Granny and Pap Pap!

I am so proud of you Jackson!!! You make me proud to be your mom!!!

Week 18: May 4th through May 10th

Monday, May 4th: shopping with sister - Brylee needed some shorts and tees to freshin' up her summer wardrobe. And she was most excited that I took her to her favorite store to shop!

Tuesday, May 5th: Softball " sisters" - Brylee and her cousin Katie played softball this season. We enjoyed hanging at the park watching them play!

Wednesday, May 6th: silly sister - my kids have the hardest time "coming off the silly high" on Wednesday nights after church! Tonight sister kept trying to sneak in my bed and kept "stalling" going to bed! Crazy girl!!!!

Thursday, May 7th: Two thumbs up for this girl... She got a "home run" tonight on a dropped third strike! The catcher dropped the third strike so when that happens the batter can run to first. They over threw the ball at first so she ran to second and then to third and they over threw third and she ran home! I guess a homer in is a homer! Ha! ;)

Friday, May 8th: my baseball buddy played a game tonight! I love watching him do his thing behind the plate!!!

Saturday, May 9th: LL Cool J is ready to play ball!!! Jackson got birthday money from

Nonnie & Poppie so he could get some Under Armor sunglasses!!!! He was excited to play during the day so he could wear them!!!

Brylee had her last softball game today! Her team came in undefeated in the park!!! Great job Brylee and the yellow fusion!!!

After all the games were over Jackson went camping with Granny and Pap Pap and the rest of us went to eat at Post Office Pies!!! It is a cool littlenpizza place in the old Avondale Post Office! It's always fun to try new places.

Sunday, May 10th: Happy Mother's Day... We enjoyed Mother's Day lunch with Richard's mom and then had dinner with my mom! What a great day to celebrate being a mom!!! I am thankful for my mother in law, mom, & and for the chance to be Jackson and Brylee's mom!!!

Tuesday, April 28th: Rainy Baseball Games are no fun.... Jackson played a baseball game in the rain tonight! That was not very fun to say the least!

Wednesday, April 29th: Jackson's Special Birthday Date: GoGo and G-daddy took Jackson on a special birthday date at the restaurant of his choice and then took him shopping for his birthday! He told us he wanted to pick out his own tennis shoes and his own clothes! So that is exactly what they did! ;)

Thursday, April 30th: Peach Love Yellow Fusion! Tonight Brylee had team pictures and a game!!! It's been a fun season!!!

Friday May 1st: 6th grade CHMS OC- the OC ( which stands for organized chaos) was a huge hit! Jackson enjoyed playing in all the paint, pudding, eggs & anything else they had! But Lord have mercy on my shole... He smells terrible when I picked him up! Shoo-Weee!!!!

Saturday, May 2nd: happy 12th birthday Jackson!

We kicked off the morning with birthday biscuits and gravy!

That afternoon Richard took Jackson and 2 of his friends ( Landon and Brandon) to the Alabama baseball game!!!

While they were at the game GoGo and I were helping give a house warming party for my cousin & his wife!

Saturday, April 25th: Shopping day with the girls!!!! We did lots of errand running and shopping getting ready for two parties next weekend!

Sunday, April 26th: softball jamboree: we enjoyed a beautiful hot day outside selling ice cream for the CYC softball jamboree! We also watched Brylee play 2 games and they won both of them!

Wednesday, April 15th: Happy Birthday to Me!!! We celebrated my birthday with no baseball or softball games or practice... thank you Jesus!!! We enjoyed dinner at LaPaz and dessert outside at Zoe's!!!! It was a great night!!!

Thursday, April 16th: Homework, Shomework: I hate homework... not going to lie... I long for summer in so many ways but no homework is one of those reasons! :)

Friday, April 17th: WE ARE GOING TO GARTH!!!!!! I told RP all I wanted for my birthday, mother's day and every other holiday in the year were tickets to see GARTH!!!! They went on sale at 10am today and he was on ticket duty,,,, and he did his duty well!!!! We got tickets and I am so excited!!!! Both shows sold out super fast and he even added a show! Apparently, others are crazy Garth fans too!!!! We are going with our friends Scott and Brooke and our other friends Rhett and Jill got tickets too!!!! We are going to have a blast.... I can not wait!!!! Hurry up JUNE!!!!

Saturday, April 18th: Proud of my little ball player... love watching him play!!! We finally got to play after what feels like a bazillion rain outs! This goes down in history as the rainiest baseball season ever!!!

Sunday, April 19th: My Little Flower Child! I always try and take pictures of Brylee with the flowers each year! So today was the day we stopped on the side and of the road on the way home and snapped a few pictures... these are a few of my favorites!!!!

New York City 2015

Friday I left Birmingham for our 4th annual New York City girls trip!!!! I have been going to NYC with this group for the last 8 years!!!!

Our first trip was in March 2007! We went around St Patrick's Day (hence why we have our green shamrock shirts on)! Each time we go we always buy matching shirts and get a group picture made!!! Love our tradition!!!

My mom and some of our group flew out Friday morning but I had to work so Cathy and I flew out Friday afternoon!

Our flight was suppose to leave at 4:23 but we were delayed for about 2 hours for what we originally thought was weather but later (much later... thank goodness) found out it was because of a bomb threat at the airport! Lovely!!!

We finally made it to NYC and the gang was all there!!! {selfie stick best purchase ever}

We grabbed a quick bite to eat and shopped around at a few stores! Because this is the city that never sleeps and stores stay open until 1AM! Then it was off to bed for a full day ahead! Hello 2AM bed time and 7 AM wake up call!!! {paid for that Monday morning}

Sunday Funday in NYC

We started our day off with our annual "matching t-shirt pictures"!!!

Katie and Laura who are the absolute best NYC trip planners and navigators!!! I can not imagine going to NYC with anyone else! They simple are THE BEST!!! xoxo

Then it was off to shop and site see along the way!!! Our hotel was right near time square!

First stop The Plaza Hotel!!!

We went downstairs to the cafe and ate one of the best cookies I have ever had! It is Oprah's friend Gayle's favorite cookie! It did not disappoint!

We also went to check out the Eloise Store... You know since she lives in the Plaza Hotel! ;)

We went to Rockefeller Center for lunch & to see the ice skating!

After lunch we shopped and then went to Radio City Music Hall (which is absolutely beautiful inside) to see the Spring Spectacular Show by the Rockettes!!! And let me tell you it was my favorite thing about the whole trip! It was AWESOME!!!! AmAzINg!!!

We got these little bracelets when we came in but did not know what they were for! Well they were so cool! They would light up as part of the show! It was beyond cool!!!

And the best part of the show was that Derek!! Hough** (from Dancing with the Stars... In case you live under a rock) dances in it!! He was awesome!!! I did not know he could sing too!!! He was THE BESt!!! (That is him in blue below)

It also has a 3d part and we wore our 3d glasses... That was pretty cool too!!

After the show we went to get a cupcake at Magnolia Bakery! We also got banana pudding! They were both yummy!!!

That about wrapped up my trip to NYC! I headed back to the hotel and then off to the airport to fly home! My flight did not leave until 8:30 and I landed about 10:30 Sunday night in BHM! Yes I was a walking zombie Monday at school and asleep by 7:30 Monday night but oh well... It's the price you pay for some weekend fun!!

They all sent me a picture from dinner Sunday night telling me they missed me ;)

It was an amazing, super great time!!! I love all things NYC! The shopping is so fun I love all the different shops they have and like I said earlier The Rockettes won the favorites prize from this trip!! Along with my favorite purchase my new turquoise purse (in the above picture!) ;)

Thanks for the best birthday present ever mom and dad!!! Mom and I had a fabulous trip!!!

Monday, April 6th: Thank you Lord for the Rain... I am not going to lie the Speing Break hang over is rough... Today kicked my tail! I was so glad to see the rain and ball games being canceled!!! I needed the night to recuperate b/c 5:30am came early!!!

Tuesday, April 7th: Baseball Mom: Cheering on my baseball buddy in a late night game that was past my bed time {yawn}!!! At least they won!

Wednesday, April 8th: happy haircut & highlight day to me!!! Is there anything better than fresh highlights and a haircut??? I think not!! A little pampering makes everyone feel wonderful right! ;) (taking a selfie at the red light... Now that is a different story)

Thursday, April 9th: softball mom... Tonight we cheered on sister girl in her softball game & they won too!!! It was a great week for wins in our house! And Brylee's team remains undefeated!!!

Friday, April 10th: I'm leaving on a jet plane...

Saturday, April 11th: more NYC fun... We had a great day shopping, eating & Broadway watching!!!

Sunday, April 12th: The Rockettes at Radio City. This show was Ah- Mazing!!!! It is my favorite one by far!!!! What an amazing weekend!!!

Monday, March 30th: Golfing Buddies: JP and RP played golf today at Oak Mtn and BP and I drove them around in a cart!

Tuesday, March 31st: Shoppin' & Lunchin': Today we went to lunch at Zoe's and had steel city too!!! Then we shopped for Easter outfits! Low and Behold we found something for everyone and no one was "killed" in the process! It's a miracle

Wednesday, April 1st: A Sho Nuf Yummy Lunch: Today we went to eat at a local favorite in Alex City called Sho Nuf BBQ! It was yummy! And the best part of the afternoon was that the parenting spring break for daddy and I started today.

Thursday, April 2nd: A Day Date: RP and I wanted to go eat some place different on our day date! So we went to eat at Brick & Tin! It was a yummy little sandwich place. It was so cool and had the best little charming character about it! I highly recommend it!

Friday, April 3rd: Good Friday: tonight we went to the Good Friday Easter Service at COTH with GoGo and G-daddy. Then had a yummy dinner at their house and ended the night with a glow in the dark Easter egg hunt!

Saturday, April 4th: Easter Fun! Today Brylee and I went to an Easter Egg Hunt & then we died some Easter eggs!

Sunday, April 5th: Happy Easter: He is Alive!!!

Easter Sunday we went to church, ate a yummy lunch and spent the afternoon with Richard's family!

The Easter clothes are all ironed and ready and it also looks like the Eastee bunny made a stop by too!

Spring Break Adventures: Camping

Richard and his family grew up camping! They camped in a tent and then camped in a Pop-up camper too! They have lots of fun stories and camping memories that they love to share!

My family has never camped in our lives! We consider staying at the Red Roof Inn roughing it to us!

So, needless to say the thought of him actually taking me camping was really just a joke! He knew "I would never go"!!

Also, let me add to the story I had never even been to a camp ground until after Jackson was born and honestly did not know people camped in tents! True Story: my friend Mandy and I were going to Wind Creek (a camp ground near Lake Martin where my in laws live) to see her mother and my mother in law line dance with their line dance class when Jackson was a baby! We pulled into the camp ground and I said "why are all these tents everywhere" and Mandy proceeds to tell me people are camping in those!!! Do what?!? People really do not camp in those!!! So needless to say, I learned something new that year! People really do camp in tents!

Fast forward twelve years and Richard and I were discussing spring break options!

Naturally I would choose the beach every single time and then some! But honestly the beach is no fun during Spring break with kids! They want to swim and the water is just too cold! They want to play on the beach and the it's usually too windy for all that! Sure you may have a few hours or a day that are pretty but realistically it's not the best option! We need to wait and go in the summer!

Richard suggested going to the indoor water park in Pigeon Fodge and we even had reservations but I got "cold feet". Something about an indoor water park stinking of chlorine, crawling with little kids, and getting in a bathing suit in March with zero tan just did not sound fun to me!

So we decided to discuss day trips and things we could do and he said "I know what we can do... We can go camping"!!! And much to his surprise I said Ok I think that sounds like fun! His response was "really"?!?! Ha! ;)

And that my friends is just what we decided to do! We did not tell the kids until Thursday night and they were SO EXCITED!!!

We went camping at Oak Mtn State Park which is basically in our back yard! It's about 15 to 20 minutes from our house and about 2 seconds from Richards school! Ha! ;)

We wanted to start slow and make sure we could "handle it"! ;)

We checked into our camp site around 11AM! The first site they gave us did not have water or electricity! I looked at RP and said this is not going to work! So he looked around and found one that was empty that had water and electricity and they let us change! Thank goodness!

Oh and did I mention we were camping in a tent! (Side story: Jackson got this tent for Christmas from my parents about 3 years ago)

We set our tent up first and "set up" our camp site! Thank you Survivor! Shelter first then fire! Lol!

Jackson and Brylee were so much help... This is what they did while we worked! They hung out in the ENO! (That was another pre-rec to our camping trip... I told RP I wanted an ENO... So he and the kids went to get me one... I failed to tell him they were $100... Oops!)

However, we loved it and all enjoyed hanging out and ENOing...

Then it was time for lunch... We brought stuff for sandwiches and lots of snacks! Don't want anyone going hungry!

After lunch, we rode around the camp site (and I found a $500,000 RV I told RP I thought I could get used to camping in that! Ha! ;)

The kids rode their bikes around and played on the playground! Even RP and JP went on a bike ride!

When they came back Jackson and Brylee declared it to be snack time! So Richard stoked the fire and they roasted marshmallows and made s'mores! They also roasted a hotdog too!

Then they decided that was not enough for a snack so they roasted a hotdog!

After their snack we rode over to their new playground and even ran into one of their baseball buddies so they played and we talked to his parents!

After that it was getting close to dinner time! GoGo and Grandaddy came to visit us at the camp site and ate dinner with us!

We had sausage dogs and hotdogs and I even heated up some chili on the fire for our hotdogs. This is when RP decided he needed a picture of me cooking on an open fire! ;) He said I cooked more at the camp site than i do at home! Ha! Funny funny!

We enjoyed eating dinner, sitting around the camp fire talking, roasting marshmellows and making s'mores! It really was so relaxing!

Granny and Pap Pap decided to come by as well and make a special delivery!!!

They brought Jackson's favorite KK donuts! And this was his way of getting them Hot and Now the camping way!!! They were super yummy!!!

After all our visitors left it was time for bed! We all climbed in the tent and went to "sleep"! I say sleep loosely because I think I woke up every time a train passed, a leaf resseled, the wind blew, etc! The kids actually slept pretty good! RP he was out too! Except when I would wake him up asking "what is that noise"! Ha!;) They both woke up about 3:30 or 4 but once it they knew the time they rolled over and went back to sleep! I woke up around 3:30 and never could seem to go back to sleep! Every little noise kept me up! Then around 4:30 I started to see lightning! At first I could tell it was still far away but I was glued to the radar on my phone! Then it started to get closer and around 5:00 I nudged RP and said its lightning and thundering and I showed him the rader! He said we can do one of two things stay in the tent and ride it out or go get in the car! I quickly said lets go get in the car because I don't do lightning or storms for that matter! We woke the kids up and ran to the car! We sat in the car for a few minutes! Then I suggested we go get breakfast and I needed to go to the bathroom too! So we drove to Chick Fil A and waited until the opened at 6 am and we were their first customer! ;)

Don't we look lovely! PJ's, bed head and all!!! We went inside, ate breakfast, and waited out the rain storm! We knew it was going to come in and out quickly so we stayed at CFA for about an hour and then it was over! We drove back to camp and climbed back in the tent and all went back to sleep for our morning nap!

After our nap we got up and we're ready for our day! Jackson cooked breakfast round 2 for us!!!

Bacon, Bacon, Bacon!!

We made egg in a hole too!!! It was a yummy breakfast!

After breakfast we got dressed and ready and headed to the golf course! One of Jackson's spring break request was to play golf! So, that is just what we did!!!

My little Twinkie Twins played golf and Brylee and I were their caddies! She sure is a crazy driver for a caddie! Thank goodness the course was not crowded... We were not very quiet!!! LOL!!!

After golf we went back to the camp site ate lunch and packed up! We were going to stay another night but all the sites were reserved. I think RP was releved he was going to "let us stay" but I think he thought two night the first time might be too much! Ha! ;)

So we took the kids to ride their bikes on the BMX bike track and then we rented a canoe and went canoeing!

After our canoeing adventures we called it a trip and headed to the house!

I will be the first to say I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had camping! It was not "as bad" as I had envisioned! We are already talking about going back!!!

Thanks RP for suggesting we go... This city slicker, pedicure lovin, sale shoppin', hotel stayin' little chick and her chick a dees had a great time roughing it in the woods!!!

Monday, March 23rd: Spring Weather Lovin': I don't know about you and your family but we loved the spring (almost summer) weather we had today! Jackson had football practice, then baseball batting practice, and then wanted to ride his bike! Where does he get the energy?!?!

Tuesday, March 24th: Smokin' Softball: Brylee had a game in Alabaster tonight and her team smoked them! They beat them 30 to 0!!! Sissy also hit a triple!!! So proud of her!!!

Wednesday, March 25th: Shorts weather & a surprise visitor.

Sister declared today that she was wearing shorts to school today because everyone was wearing them!!!! Ha! ;) She also talked me into buying her this ginormous ball today at Wally World!!!

Then while we were eating at church in walked a super fun surprise! Kamilla (who was our friends Ray and Mandy's exchange student who lived with them for a year about 6 years ago). Brylee absolutely loved her when she lived here! Well, Kamilla came for a visit and I knew she was here but I had not told Brylee yet! Her response was not what I thought it would be bc I think she was inshock at first but she warmed up for sure and enjoyed seeing Kamilla and wants to make sure she will see her a lot more times before she leaves! ;)

Thursday, March 26th: happy Haircut Day!

Sister got a much needed haircut today! She had not gotten her haircut since school started in August because she was letting it grow out but it was time for a haircut! She got 3 inches cut off!!! She said "it's so short"! LOL!!! She also had a softball game that night but it was called after 1 1/2 innings due to lightning!

Funny Brylee Moment: She told Lindsay (her hair stylist) I have been looking forward to this haircut all day! Lindsey told her "that's when you know you are getting old"! LOL!!!

Friday, March 27th: JP's Debut on the Mound!!! Jackson pitched tonight for the first time in a game and even picked up a win! We are so proud of you buddy!!!

Saturday, March 29th: Spring Cleaning!!! We did some spring cleaning to our yard today! RP and JP cut the grass and trimmed some bushes! We also cleaned out the garage and Brylee planted some flowers with her Granny!!! We are spring ready!!!

Monday March 16th: Ice cream you scream we all scream for ice cream!!!

Today was free ice cream cone day at DQ... We did our part and visited!!! Thanks for the free ice cream DQ!!!

Tuesday, March 17th: Jackson's First Game -

Jacksons first game was suppose to be Saturday but it was rained out and canceled! So Tuesday night was his first game! He did great and he and his team won! Yay! Go Chelsea Royals!!!

Brylee also had a game that night too so I ran back and fourth between parks! Brylee's coach went all out for St Patrick's Day... It was so cute! They had little hats, shamrocks, green balloons & cupcakes! What a fun night and they won also!!!

Wednesday, March 18th: Sissy the Snuggle Big... Sister loves to come in our room and lay in bed and snuggle for a few minutes! She would stay all night if we let her but no!!!

Thursday, March 19th: $5 for Brylee... Brylee's team was down by 1point in the last inning and she was leading off the inning... G-daddy to her if she got on base he would give her $5... Well she struck out but the catcher dropped the ball so she could run to first base and she made it! Here she is giving us 5 telling us she earned her $5! She then came in and was the tieing run! Her team ended up winning 8 to 7!!!

Friday, March 20th: wings and March Madness!!! Jackson said he wanted to go eat dinner and watch some basketball so that is just what we did Friday night... We went to eat wings and watched some basketball too!!!!

Saturday, March 21st:: love my ball player...

Jackson played ball yesterday but his team came up short... Oh well... I still love supporting my ball player!!!

Brylee went with her friend Avery to the Winter Jam Concert and got to meet Sadie Roberts@n and Francesica too! She had a great time!

Sunday, March 22nd: Sunday Funday!!! Brylee and Jackson went to see their cousin Olivia show cows today and then Brylee and I went to see Avery sing in her church choir program! Can we say one extreme to another!! LOL

Week 10: March 9th through March 15th

Monday March 9th: Some one spoiled Sissy: Nonnie and Poppie kept Jackson and Brylee today b/c we both had a teacher work day! Brylee loved being spoiled by Nonnie... She got a mani & a pedi!!!

Tuesday, March 10th: Steel City Pops- Daddy had several errands to run and all I wanted to do was stay home because it was rainy and yucky so he bribed us with steel city pops so we would go with him!!! He drives a hard bargain!

Wednesday, March 11th: puzzles!!! Last week when we had the snow/ice day we went to Walmart and picked up this puzzle! It quickly became my addiction and I have wasted lots of time working on it! Oh well at least I will make a great12 old person one day.... I can sit in the nursing home and do puzzles!!! LOL!!!

Thursday, March 12th: Smile it's school picture day!!! Brylee was all ready looking super cute for her school pictures! She picked out her outfit; she wanted to wear palazzo pants so that is what she wore!

Friday, March 13th: hello spring... The weather has been warming up and that means only one thing... Time to get a pedicure and pull out the wedges and flip flops!!!! Hello spring!!!

Saturday, March 14th: Softball Practice Game... Today Brylee went to Vincent to play a practice softball game! They did great and won 18-0!!! Go Yellow Fusion!!!

Sunday, March 15th- Opening Day for Softball... Today was Brylee's first softball game... She played great and they won! Yeah!!! Go yellow Fusion and my favorite softball player #21!!!

Week 9: March 2nd through March 8th

Monday March 2nd: mexican Monday Mexican Monday with my Men!! Sister was with a friend so it was just me and my men enjoying some Mexican on a Monday!

Tuesday March 3rd: 6th grade choir concert: Jackson had to take choir as one of his electives this year and this 9 week was his turn! They had a choir concert tonight (which was required to attend) and they sang the 3 songs they learned!

Wednesday March 4th: Summer countdown... Our summer countdown is on... Today marked 50 days until summer... We can do it!!! I say at least once a day to RP... All I want to do is go to the beach!!! It's a big joke now... I send him a text or sign off an email to him at least once a day that says "I want to go to the beach"!!! He will ask me any question about dinner or anything else and usually I answer with "I want to go to the beach"! Ha! ;) thank goodness he loves me!!

Thursday March 5th: ice ice baby... We were out of school today for a predicted ice/snow storm... We did get a few flurries but yes it was another disappointment where really all we got was a cold rain!

Friday March 6th: the mighty mighty weather man... James Spann.... You just never know who will be a guest reader for Read Across America week!!! The infamous weather man... James!!! ( I am currently doing a maternity leave in 3rd grade at Vincent and these are my 4th grade teacher buddies Brooke and Caycie)!!!

Saturday March 7th- baseball... The greatest season!!!

Jackson has his first practice game today... I love watching him play... Baseball is my favorite sport by far!!! Bring in Spring weather & baseball!!!!

Sunday March 8th: Sunday Snaps... We sprung forward and made it to church too... It's a win win in my book!!!

Week 8: February 23rd through March 1st

February 23rd: Three Card Poker - some how our nightly card game of spoons turned into RP teaching JP to play 3 card poker. Now he is ready to turn 21 and go to the casinos! LOL!!!

February 24th: Delayed Start to School: I could get used to a 2 hr delay to school... One of my favorite parts is that we actually don't have to rush around getting ready and we get to sit down and eat a "weekend" breakfast!

February 25th: No Snow: we were out of school today for a "snow storm" and at the start of it we were predicted to get 2 to 3 inches of snow and at the end of it all we only got rain... I had some disappointed little kids!!!

February 26th: basketball playoffs: tonight was the first round of the basketball playoffs. JP and his team went into the tournament undefeated but ended up losing in the first round!

February 27th: TGIF : celebrating Friday with dinner and fro-yo too! Happy Friday Friends!!! We welcome the weekend!!!

February 28th: Girls Weekend: Connie, Mom and I enjoyed a girls weekend away in Vernon at the "hunting camp"!!! We enjoyed shopping, eating, chillaxing & watching lots of Downton Abbey! It was just what this mama needed!!!

March 1st: mommy is back... And one is happy because she can't "live without me" and was so mad she did not get to join me on my girls weekend away and the other is sad b/c apparently daddy lets him do as he pleases!! Ha! Silly Jack Jack!!! Love you too buddy!!!
