Winter Obsessions

I started this post yesterday...

It finally rained (ok, sprinkled) today and I got to take out my Marc Jacobs umbrella to walk Aidan to school! Of course, Aidan saw all the flowers and immediately asked for his "cars" umbrella. As I walked him to school, I had on my morning sweat pants, a simple tee and a thin sweater. This is normal for our everyday California weather, but this morning was different...It was chilly, the weather has definitely changed and the air was nice and clean. I jumped as I saw slugs and worms on the ground, but all the while in my head I was thinking, What to wear tomorrow morning? The time has arrived for all my winter obsessions!

Today... continues...

The usual coat and scarf is always in need during this time of year. I'm going to Georgia next week and I have a sudden realization that I am actually not Winter ready... at least not for any other Winter but the California one. I am not ready for wind, rain or snow... I'm a little worried I have to say. My solution.... is layering! I do have many ways to layer my current wardrobe pieces and perhaps even taking out those bulky sweaters that I stashed away. I love my fitted Calvin Klein tees so those are still a must have for my layering endeavors. I actually wore one out today with my boyfriend jeans and a bulky knitted sweater from HM. Instead of the normal beanie, I will probably incorporate more winter scarves as headpieces. I'm on this current scarf headpiece frenzy so I need to find more creative ways of amping that up for the winter as well. I'm excited!

Here are some must haves that I am going to be seeking for... I hope you have a great Winter and enjoy it because it's going to pass us by way too fast... Have a great weekend my friends!

The Circle of Events Experience

I don't usually blog about a job because although I love what I do, it's still a job. After working with Circle of Events on their 2013 Campaign, I had to blog about the lovely lady behind the name.

If you aren't married, you'd want to be after being around Susan, the owner and wedding consultant for Circle of Events. This young and bright entrepreneur glows with passion and works like there's no tomorrow. I had the opportunity to witness how this project blossomed from a casual conversation to actually booking the shoot, casting and finally styling the campaign. It seems like a blur now but the experience in itself was nothing less then perfection.

I've known Susan for awhile but to experience the wedding consultant, was a different story. Susan exudes professionalism, compassion, emotion, sensitivity, and true love for what she does. Even with a hundred things on her plate, her first priority was always on personnel. She was genuine in making sure we were happy, fed, and as eager to be part of this project as she was. She never once doubted the project or complained that it was too much work. She listened, learned, gave inputs and ultimately made very important decisions. She worked hard using the very best of her resources to ensure this project would be the best it could be. Our crew consisted of individuals from Montana, LA to the Central Valley. This is the work of one hard working lady that we all loved so much.

The casting and shoot went great. Like all projects, there were obstacles in the way but there's nothing this lovely lady couldn't handle. Not only was she the client but she was also the Creative Director who knew exactly what she wanted. I watched as she did what she does best by running around town to meet with her clients one by one all the while still working on other projects consecutively.

Susan is a Destination Consultant so if you need someone who truly is invested in you with that extra touch of care, then Circle of Events is your final destination. It's a one stop shop and this leading lady will become family because that's her number one motto... Treating you like family and taking care of your every need in the only way she knows how... with professionalism, commitment and her whole heart... with a cherry on top!

I've been working with Susan, the owner, wedding and event planner of Circle of Events for her 2013 Bridal Campaign. We've had a great time with casting, scouting and finding the perfect pairing to represent the all american wedding parties. We picked the perfect couples, completed fittings and are now working on our mood boards this week. We have so many amazing vendors involved as well who are going to make these 4 lovely couple's "generic" wedding bliss come true. The sets are so adorable, it makes me wish someone WAS actually getting married. Decor will be by the amazing Dong, owner of "My Decor" and photography will be done by the lovely Youa Vang, destination wedding photographer from Montana. We truly have people flying from all over the states to be part of this shoot.

We will be shooting plenty of behind the scenes on the day of the shoot (November 7th) so make sure you tune into my facebook page for on set behind the scene photos!

Sheng Moua Productions (SMP) is honored to be working with Circle of Events as the main Casting Director and Fashion Director for their first Ad Campaign. Susan Vang-Xiong is the owner and founder of Circle of Events. Susan is a wedding and event planner, among a great vast of other things she does for the community. Not only is she great at what she does, but she pours her heart into anything she touches, creating your ultimate fantasy weddings. Passion is her driver and the outcome of Circle of Events is proof of how this lovely lady has made her dream come true. Susan has a way of making every bride feel as if she's on top of the world. This is the bride's greatest moment and she understands how important this day is. She goes over and beyond and puts her personal touches on everything to ensure the bride has the most unique and one of a kind experience ever. Although COE is based out of the Central Valley, Susan is also a destination wedding planner. She will travel anywhere her bride and groom needs her.

Q & A

1. What should I wear?

Ladies: wear a simple dress of your choice so you'll feel feminine and romantic.
A formal dress is not necessary. Wear heels (stay away from wedges if possible) and very little or no makeup.

Men: Dress nice. bring or wear a tie and a jacket is optional.

2. What should I bring?

Nothing. Just come as you are.

3. Is there an application that I need to fill out?

There will be one supplied for you at the casting. Please know your measurements. Measuring tape will be supplied on set if you don't know them.

4. Is there a specific height or body requirement?

No. We are looking forward to see everyone! If you are a newly engaged couple, please come together. We like real chemistry! :)

5. Do I have to have experience?

If you've taken photos in front of a camera then you qualify.

6. Can I take a friend?

Please do not bring anyone who will not be participating in the casting call. If you do, please ask them to wait outside.

7. How long will the casting be?

The casting call is between 12 noon til 3pm. It's first come, first serve so be prepared to wait if there's others waiting in front of you.

8. November 7th is a Wednesday?

Yes, the shoot will be on a Wednesday because we are working with other clients who are catering to weddings on the weekends so the weekdays are our only option.

9. Do I have to bring a portfolio?

If you have one, please bring it, but not necessary

10. Do I have to bring a headshot?

If you have one, please bring it, but not necessary

11. What if I'm under 18 years old?

You must be at least 16 years old. You can still come to the casting call but if you are selected, you must provide a signed parent consent form.

12. What is TFP?

TFP stands for Time or Trade for Print. This means that the client's compensation for this specific project is exactly that. Your time for prints of your finish images that you will be able to use for your portfolio or reprint for your personal use.

13. Will I have to sign a Model Release Form?

This post is very near and dear to my heart because it hits very close to home. Almost 2 years ago, my husband's younger brother, Gary found out that he had Ulcerative Colitis (UC). The symptoms leading to the diagnosis were very scary and an experience that no one should ever have to experience. It was scary because the unknown is scary. As time went by, Gary slowly learned more about UC and became more aware and educated about what it is he is now living with. I'm sure it's something that a lot of people are currently living with or is battling today. I myself have never heard of UC before so it was also something very new to me. My husband and I had to research and educate ourselves about it because it's now apart of our lives as well.

As you can see below in Gary's story, he talks about his journey and what he's been going through thus far. His Facebook page (IC4UC) talks more about his story and the things he's doing to bring awareness to UC. I have to say that he a lot stronger today and slowly gaining his weight back. Gary has always been the most kindhearted, thoughtful and loving person I know. Having UC hasn't changed him because although he was scared, it has given him a new sense of confidence, a new way of life and a voice to step up and fight for something that no one would have been prepared for. Having UC doesn't characterize who he is, it just gives him a platform to educate and bring awareness to everyone living in fear or the unknown "scary" as I used to call it. Gary's Story:

A year and 7 months ago when suddenly I couldn't leave my bathroom, I found out I have Ulcerative Colitis (UC). I remember feeling like I hit a brick wall when my doctor diagnosed me with this Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) that I knew nothing about. I was angry and confused; I had so many questions. What is UC, what did I do wrong to lead to this, how will I deal with the constant bathroom runs and the pain?

After countless visits to different doctors and specialists along with enduring multiple tests and going on my own to do research and volunteering to participate in national conference calls and local researches, I can say that things have finally started turning around for me. For one, I'm definitely much more aware of this disease now, hence allowing me to be much more positive. I'm also finally not on heavy medication, my bowel movements have decreased from 10 times a day to 3-4 times, and my severe cramps and night sweats are also gone.

I anticipate that I will have my occasional not so good days, but for now I am celebrating progress in my health. On October 13th, I will be walking in the Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis Walk at Fresno's Woodward Park and it would mean a lot if you could join me that day or find other ways to participate and support me. Take Steps for Crohn's and Colitis is the nation’s largest event dedicated to raising funds to find cures for digestive diseases like UC. I'm 1 of the 1.4 million patients across the country that suffer from this disease and Crohn's, so it's very important to me that we care and take action today. It's my personal goal to raise as much money as I can for this worthy cause and I know with your help, I can do that.

I will begin to post unto my page the different ways you can get involve and support me.

I've been so tied up with work so it's delayed my blog entries. I've been keeping busy at church, my home and everyday work. I've been reading a lot and I thought I'd share what I've been diving myself into these days. I'll admit, I'm not really a reader but once I find something I like, I get really into it. Lately I've been thinking a lot about life and the people around me on a daily basis. The most important person to me (besides my son) is my husband and I know that no marriage or relationship is perfect but my gosh, I'd like to try. We fight like normal people do but we also know how much we love each other. For this and this alone, I always try to make the best out of my days with him. I wake up thinking what can I do today to make his life better? What can I do today to tell him how much I love him or how much I appreciate him? I don't always do a good enough job but I wake up every morning trying over and over again. I have to say that I am more in love with my husband today then I've ever been in my life. We've struggled through a lot in our lives and through everything, we've been so strong with our love and respect for one another. I have to give a lot of credit to God, the one person whom we respect and love the most. He is first in our lives so loving one another is so much easier. I am not here to tell anyone how to love or how to be in your own marriages. I am simply here to "type" out loud about the things I've been doing for the past few months and the way I'm feeling today. I am the person I am today because of him and I can only be the person I want to be because of his support and continued love. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life and I can only hope that I am also that woman to him.

Currently I am reading the book "Love and Respect" by Dr. Emerson, and so far, it's making so much sense. It talks about a love that some couples don't even know exists. It has proven to save marriages. Yes, save marriages! I don't believe you have to be married to read it. I think it's a great book in general on life and how magical it can be when we open our hearts to love. It also tells us that love alone doesn't work. The book goes into details about the wonders of love and how to use it in the form it was meant for.

"Each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband".....Ephesians 5:33 - How? This is where it gets good. Whether you are a believer or not, this is a great book for everyone because it talks about the human soul, the love in our hearts and ultimately sharing that love for our loved ones, specifically our spouses.

My husband and I are currently not going through any major issues, but why do we have to right? I think "Preventive Maintenance" in life is always needed (sooner the better if you ask me). Learning how to love yourself and then how to love your spouse is always the best tool for life. You become a better person for yourself, your loved ones and ultimately for your kids. I want to be a strong and positive example to my son as a mom and also as someone he can look up to when he's ready to meet that special person in his life. I can only hope that I set that example for him so he can learn to respect and love the way his father and I do.

We have become very active at our local church and are so fortunate for all the available resources they offer us. We will be starting a class called, "The Art of Marriage" soon with each other and then I will continue by myself with the women's fellowship for "After God's Heart" on how I can be a better person after God's heart. Please pray for me, for us and I can't wait to share what I learn through my process of becoming who he wants me to be.

I'm so in love with this song and if you listen to the lyrics, it tells a story that all us women would like in our men... To lead us with strong hands and stand up when we can't... don't leave us, hungry for love chasing dreams....

I've been shopping a lot online (too hot to go outside) and eyeing a lot of new looks for the Fall. I'm dying for this YSL tote bag but it's currently not in my budget so for now, Polyvore will have to do..Skinny Denims have been quite the trend for the past year and although it'll be here for awhile longer, I opted for this slim bootcut because it's so flattering and gives height to my shorter stature. I added a touch of color with the scarf and earrings but I love the touch of color on the top and the polka dots that are ever so stylish. Enjoy the upcoming season!

Fall Forecast!

It's been so hot here in SoCal and just stepping outside for the mail has been rough. I know we have it good compared to other parts of the country but since this is all I know, I guess I'm a little spoiled. I haven't been out much but the little times that I did step out, I made sure to dress as simple as possible. I do own a lot of black so the color in itself does not like the sun :)

I'm so excited that the FALL is coming! The Summer has been so hot that I am so ready for the next season to be here already. Fall is the best season ever because I love to overlap and play with a variety of dresses, pants to skirts. I also love scarves and warm soft hats so I'm really looking forward to the upcoming season. Rain also comes along with Fall but the more reason to load up on my umbrella collection as well.

My Fall Trend Forecast:

Colors: Black is staying and can still be incorporated in anything you wear. Black leather gloves (short cut) will be very hot along with tight fitted leather jackets as well. You are looking at more of a fitted shorter cut versus a longer looser fit. Of course the leather trench is and will always be in style just like your khakis trench. Like I said before, I love the overlap concept of Fall and believe it or not, I see plaid coming back! Yes, I just have a real gut feeing about it. Deep rich hues of purple, yellow, green, navy blue and fuscia will also play a huge role this season. Patterns will continue to Fall as well but less floral print and more geometric shapes will arise. Skinny belts have been a huge trend for the Winter, Spring and Summer but I have a feeling that large belts will start to sneak in again this season. You can always use your skinny belts over (overlapping.. :)) your large belt to give it that extra touch of love.

Nails: Natural hues are always great for everyday wear but I think you'll see lots of creativity in this segment as well along with the Fall rich hues of purples, pinks and black. Nail art has truly become the latest fad and although I never thought I'd rock nail art, I'm actually having second thoughts about it. I would still stick to softer and more classier nail art like a different color french tip (black and white) or even a soft hue of polka dots to give it a monochromatic affect. It's not too much but fun and still safe enough for the office. As much as I loved NEON this summer, I think it's going to slowly slip away for the Fall. The yellows and purples I think can still slip in with the new season fashion but the orange and greens will probably be too bold.

Shimmer Shimmer: Who knew that shimmering wardrobe would have lasted this long. Remember those days when you only wore pieces with "bling" for a special occasion? I bought a pair of silver metallic Manolo Blanik that I was purposely saving for those "special" occasions but now I can wear them with anything! Fashion has truly come full circle. Everywhere you turn, there's a shirt, skirt, dress or shimmer shimmer pair of pants that can be paired up with your everyday wife beater, white tee or a simple tank with blazer. I'm so happy with how Fashion has become nowadays because I was teaching Personal Development during the days of "your finger and toe nail polishes have to match, you can't wear open toe shoes with stockings... oh and you have to wear nylons when wearing a skirt!" lol this is so wild that I am now part of this Fashion circle and has seen it all. If you don't have a piece of Shimmer Shimmer in your closet, I'd say grab one because it's going to be around for awhile. Make sure you keep it neutral so you can wear it again without it being too obvious! Classic pieces are key this season.

White: I think everyone used to know the number one rule for white right? Never wear white after Labor Day.. It's funny now because White has never made such a statement before. White is everywhere now and believe it or not, everyone is wearing it. It's a very confident color and even I am a little afraid of it but it's a beautiful transparency of what color truly is.. It may be white but it saids so much about you and the pieces you choose to wear. I say wear white and wear lots of it... Mix it up with stripes, color, patterns and bold jewelry. This is the time to have fun and make fashion your own.

A few months ago, along with my friend and photographer Maria Laxamana, I styled a photo shoot with two leading ladies, Yvette Yates and Cindy Vela, featuring some of the most beautiful pieces from new and upcoming designers like Pa Kou Xiong to couture designer Adolfo Sanchez and Etoile Couture jewelry among a few others. I also worked with a new Eco-Friendly Exquisite jewelry and designer, Hovey Lee, and was just amazed by her collection of gold and silver art. Furthermore, you can't miss out on the very beautiful and deliciously frosted pair of heels that were designed by shoe designer Kate Ferguson. We truly had an amazing ensemble starting from designers to models and finally to our behind scene crew members.

The cast and crew in all, were so creative to say the least and we are so thankful that Chris Hawley was able to catch this behind the scenes video clip. These photo-ages are still being submitted for an editorial spread so for now, enjoy!

FIDM Blog Feature

I am a graduate of FIDM where I attended both the Orange and LA County campuses. I graduated from the Visual Communications PD program. Fashion has also been my number 1 passion but at 16 years old, my mom told me that I'd have to get a "real" job before I went to Fashion school. She didn't know much about Fashion, but she knew that it was very competitive. I had no idea what she was talking about because I lived in a small town and all I knew was Fashion Design. I wanted to be a designer and all throughout high school, I'd sketch and illustrate everything I'd like to wear. As I think back now, I was also the only one that was dressing up all the time. We didn't have a lot of money for new clothes so I always used what I had to re-create new looks. Who knew it would eventually lead to where I am today.

Needless to say, I didn't go straight to Fashion school. I pursued my Bachelor of Science degree first then I went to Brooks College of Design for a year. I quickly found out that I did not like to sew. I was scared that it was going to ruin my love for Fashion. While I was attending design school, I noticed that the Merchandising students were always putting on Fashion Shows.. hmm I wanted to put on Fashion Shows! I left Brooks and continued my education elsewhere. I obtained my Mastars in Business Administration (MBA) before finding out about the FIDM Visual program in 2006.

I am so honored to be part of the FIDM family. It's an experience that I would do all over again. I met people in the industry from all walks of life. Along with the students, staff and teachers, I also attended their New York Study Tour and had the chance to meet so many different individuals that shaped my career. If anyone is interested in attending FIDM, please don't hesitate to ask. I can go on forever about this amazing school

Wine Tasting... and Last day of Shoe Giveaway!

We had an amazing time with my brother and sister in law this weekend. Before they left yesterday, we stopped at San Antonio Winery for some wine tasting and a little bit of fun. Susan Vang-Xiong is a wedding planner (a blog about that later) and my business partner so we are always brainstorming and having fun. She got a few samples for her brides and also for her loved ones back home. I grabbed a few as well and just enjoyed my time with her. I also got a few new pieces for the Dollhouse which I can't wait to wear.

The Day is finally here!

It has been such a long time coming for this amazing amazing weekend. Aside from being born, getting married and having my son, I have found the one true light in my life, which is my love for the lord. I've been a Christian all my life but it means nothing if you don't know who God is or if you don't have a relationship with him. This is a topic all on it's own so I won't dwell on it, however, this weekend was a changing factor in my life, my journey and the new me. My husband and I got baptized!!

My mom was always encouraging me to get baptized but I always knew I wasn't ready. I never felt the need to do so until just recently when I truly found him and I learned about the love he has for me. The decision to get baptized was all me and the feeling of rejoice and forever love is only between me and my lord. We were baptized at Corona Del Mar in Orange County by our pastor Jack Hibbs from Calvary Chapel Chino Hills. Our church has a congregation of thousands so it was also our first time actually meeting and shaking his hand, so altogether, the whole experience was just priceless. I've never had such a big smile on my face and when Pastor Jack laid me in the water, the water was so calm and I raised up knowing that I was shedding my past and leading a new life, the best life ever!

The things I have to look forward to is just endless. I am so proud of myself, my husband and my best friend Pak who also made the decision (15 mins prior) to also get baptized with us as well. What a day to remember and what a weekend to live through. My friends and family who are so near and dear to my heart were all there (along with my MN family who were there in spirit) and everything was nothing less than perfect! Here's our photos

THE LORD IS GREAT!

What a great evening it is. I find myself looking forward to Friday's "Concert in the Park" here at our local park. Tonight was a tribute band to Tim McGraw and next week will be a tribute band to "Chicago". We get to spend time with our friends and family and just hang out. Tonight was a little chilly so we didn't hang out too long afterwards but nonetheless, it was still fun to get ready and see one another. This weekend is going to be really exciting because we have our brother and sister in law coming into town. We have lots of fun things planned such as "girl time", wine tasting, visiting a cousin nearby and just catching up...One of the most exciting part about this coming weekend is Sunday the 29th when my husband and I finally get baptized. It's been a very long time but it's finally here and I can't wait!

Friday's OOTD...

I posted these photos on Facebook but with my TV production schedule, I didn't get a chance to update my blog in time. These are just a few photos from last week when I was finishing up my last pulls before the weekend. It was so hot and I didn't want to wear shorts (I hardly wear shorts) or pants so I slipped on this very cute and flowy polka dotted skirt that I got from H&M. There's a fitted slip underneath so although the top is flowy, the slip keeps everything intact. My top was gifted to me by my sister Kashia. It's a collared button up and is actually a very nice green. I tucked it in for a little bit of sophisticated appeal and just added a touch of color with my belt and necklace. With polka dots and stripes, it's very easy to fall on the "tacky" side so break it up with solids and colors. Keep it minimal and you'll be alright.

After the day ended was when we went to "Concert at the Park" with the OOTN that I have on my previous blog. I didn't want to add more photos to that blog so that's why this one is by itself. Tomorrow night is another "Concert at the Park" with a Tribute to Tim McGraw. Can't wait!

I'm on my way out to find a new dress for a Fashion Show I am attending tonight. Will update on the show tomorrow..

It's a Wrap!

It's been a very long weekend because we finally wrapped "Have you met Miss Jones?". It's a new TV Pilot that we shot with a wonderful cast and crew. I've worked in television before and it's always long days and hours. It's very exhausting but also very exciting. I had my friend and assistant Patrick Barraquio (whom I can't do anything without) and my side kick Jesse Lopez who also worked as the main Set Designer. I had such a great time and I met so many wonderful people. The writer David Mattia, omg I love him to death and can sit and listen to him talk all day. Writers fascinate me so much because the things they have in their head just amazes me. I've tried writing in the past but after 60 or so pages, I got bored.. needless to say, I never finished anything. I do plan on writing a book one day so hopefully it'll spark me again lol. I had the great pleasure of working with Academy Award winner Patty McCormack, Art LaFleur, Dot Jones and James Kyson Lee among other amazing actors such as the co-writer, actor and Executive Producer, James Di Giacomo who was our main actor for the character Angelina Jones (Miss Jones). His character is so contagiously cute. I fell in love with her and wish I could be friends and go shopping with her! I have to say, I will miss Angelina Jones very much (until we shoot again I hope). The script was so brilliantly written and the humor still cracks me up just thinking about it. I learned a lot of new things too on this set vs what I've done in the past so I'm excited to see what's coming up next.

IT'S A WRAP!!

My golden shoes...

It's been a long day but I've managed to get everything I needed out of the way. One more trip tomorrow and I'll be ready for the weekend. I do look forward to getting dressed up in the mornings because I always try to have fun with whatever is still hanging in my closet. I'll usually start with one piece of garment (i.e. my top) and base everything around it. I have a lot of black in my closet so I'm always trying to mix and match. I also don't want to wear the same outfit twice (the same way) so it can get a little tricky trying to make something old look new. The last thing I do is look for my shoes, my purse and then I'm done.

I call these my "golden shoes" because they've been in my closet for at least 8 years and today was the first time I've worn them. I have another golden pair of heels but I've worn those before. These are so comfortable but I was never able to find an outfit to go with it. I guess I wasn't trying hard enough. They are a size 5 and being that my foot shrunk, it fits like a glass.

I love my job because I get to shop almost everyday. Of course, I don't always shop for myself but I always stop in to look, try on a few things and I'm on my way... I have a photographic memory when it comes to wardrobe so I'll know exactly what the store has, where it's located and what the latest trends are...crazy, I know.

One last thing I'm wearing are these adorable Sunnies from Trendy Hip Buys (my favorite online vintage boutique). I love how they look, the size and mostly the functionality of it. I wish these were prescriptions! I have a few more from THB's that I haven't worn yet.. Stay tuned for more..

Going down memory lane with "The Hansens"

I have some more pulls and returns to do today but after being on set yesterday with a whole new team and my Jesse by my side, it really made me miss two very important individuals whose truly made an impact on my life as a Stylist and Creative Director. I was going through photos of some of my older work and it just really made me miss my days at Studio 1. Bastian is the amazing photographer behind Studio 1 in LA and Lidia is his wife and Art Director. Last year they moved out of the states for work and we don't get to see them anymore. I just wanted to show some of the work that I did with them, two of the most humble and passionate people I know. They are not your typical "Hollywood" couple, but only the most friendliest and giving friends that you can't help but love, couple. Bastian has an eye like no other and Lidia is the brain that makes their world go round (ours too). We hung out at Studio 1 so much that we started calling ourselves "The Studio Junkies" It was the best time of my career because it was at Studio 1 that I got to be me. They allowed me to be creative, share my voice and I even had FIDM classes visit me there for lighting and studio etiquette as a Stylist. It was truly a time that I will hold in my heart forever.

Studio 1 was sort of my home away from home. We created magic together and I would do it all over again in a minute. I learned so much from them and I will always cherish the love they genuinely gave to us.

So to the Hansens... I miss you guys and I hope you return back to the states soon so we can have our Junkie dinners and get togethers again. Thank you for your continued support even when you are miles and miles away. Love you both!

To the Hansen angels, we miss you little ladies too. Stay young forever!

It was a great day today in LA. We had a photo shoot and film test today with the main actor, the Director of Photography and the Director. I love it when the cast and crew is so humble and passionate about what they do. This re-confirms why I love what I do so much.

The film I'm working on is actually a television comedy show (series). The script is so hilarious and I can't wait to share more about it as we get further into production. I haven't worked in film or television in awhile but it's usually very long days. I'm working with Jesse Lopez, my right hand man, so it'll be nothing but fun. I will be the main Costume Designer and Jesse will be the main Set Dresser. Here are a few photos from today's quick session.

Dollhouse Giveaway...

A touch of Red, White and Black...

It was a full day today waking up super early to take Aidan in for his dental appointment. I love having a doctor that I can trust with my conversations, my family and ultimately my life, so it's been quite a journey trying to find the best doctors for Aidan. We finally found an amazing dentist "Dr. Dan" who is so sweet, so professional and after only one visit, he remembered us! His staff is so nice and the office is very kid friendly and visually attractive to the eye. I wish it was my dental office too! I do have a great dentist though and the BEST optometrist ever (Dr. Suneet Gupta). His staff are the best ever and sometimes I secretly wish I worked there too.. haha. Ok enough about Doctors.. I can go on and on...

After I dropped Aidan off, I had a gazillion things to do. I never made it to "The Dressing Room" but I was able to pull more stuff for my "Body Shapers" blog that is still coming up soon. I don't usually like to blog about something I haven't tried myself so for those of you who have been waiting (patiently) or are interested in this topic, just give me a little bit more time. I want to make sure I really love the products and have actually used it before I blog about it...

I have a long day tomorrow in LA for another production meeting so I'm going to turn in a little early tonight. I hope you have a great evening.
